Do you to know what a perfect customer service is? Well you have to come to LensCrafters here at Southpoint mall in Durham and ask for Mr. Rick he really made my day. I picked up my glasses and when I went home the frame didnt feel right. I was so concerned because I paid almost 600$ for them. I came back and now Mr. Rick was the person who helped me and he did a fantastic job. Thank you so much for all help. You know how to treat a customer.

The optometrist at the south point LensCrafters needs to learn how to communicate with adults. Dr Apeksha Nagar obviously feels entitled. If they continue to let her talk to people that way they will definitely lose revenue. They will definitely never get our business again. Do better LensCrafters

I was promptly greeted by the manager, Megan, even though the store was very busy. I showed her a picture of frames I had seen online and she went straight to the display and brought them to me. An issue with my vision insurance kept me from filing a claim on site, but Megan offer a work around without hesitation. I left with glasses I have been looking for for months. Go here, don’t waste time anywhere else. They are great!!!

Bought some new glasses here and was having an issue with how tight they fit. One employee attempted to adjust them but I had to return to the store about one hour later to have them adjusted again. An employee named Rick helped me and he was THE BEST. Seriously. I don’t think anyone has taken that much time to do something for me in any retail establishment. I didn’t even have to say anything. He kept making adjustments until he thought they were right and then asked me what I thought. The fit was perfect. If you visit this location do yourself a favor and ask if Rick is working. Just an amazing customer service experience.

About two years ago I came in with a prescription that was 13 months old; I had a prickly and somewhat confrontational experience with a tall, thin man with gray hair who refused to even consider me purchasing a new set of frames without an up to date prescription (within 12 months). Due to this interaction, I did not return to the store and was hesitant to ever come back.HOWEVER, my experience yesterday was amazing. The staff was warm and friendly and Latoya (sorry if I am misspelling!) worked with me to figure out what lenses I wanted and how much each type would cost in the frames I had selected.I left with same day glasses that fit well and I felt good in. The team works to disinfect their frames quickly and thoroughly so I felt safe in a Covid world.So in short - excellent service from the female employees! Keep it up, ladies.

LensCrafters - why are you lying to your clients, claiming that “there is a law” banning you from dispensing glasses on emergency basis without valid prescription? NC General Statute Chapter 90, Article 17, Paragraph 90-235 clearly states: “duplications, replacements, reproductions or repetitions may be done without prescription, in which event any such act shall be construed to be ophthalmic dispensing, the same as if performed on the basis of a written prescription.” Look it up. Image enclosed. Let me guess: You are doing it deliberately to obtain a gain in an unlawful manner.

I had a horrible experience at this LensCrafter location. Initially I just wanted to be vent my frustration here. But my good friend who also had serious issues with this business suggested to lodge the formal complaint with the North Carolina State Board of Opticians and State Board of Optometry.It’s easy! Just find the website of those Boards and follow the complaint procedures. I believe that anyone maltreated by this store/optometrist (and I see MANY customers were, judging by negative reviews) should do that. Actions of the staff at this particular LensCrafters location are EGREGIOUS. They warrant the formal administrative review.

Me and my husband have been coming to this lensCrafters location for the past 7 years. We have always had a great experience with our regular and our sunglasses. Our most recent visit was very special and prompted me to write a review. It was my 8 yo daughter turn to get her first pair of glasses. In our first visit, Megan was super kind and helpful in choosing and fitting my daughters frames. 2 days later we went to pick them up and were helped by this wonderful gentleman named Rick. He was genuinely happy to see my daughters reaction to wearing glasses for the very first time ( a high prescription!) making our visit very special. We are not forgetting this last visit. Edit: I am filing a complaint with the NC State Board of Optometry to investigate this shop and the optometry practice affiliated with this shoddy business. I hope that this action will help to protect other consumers who were wronged. Also I AM NOT responding to AI generated response to this post offering me option to complain to your corporate office. Your company has crossed the line, acted in the contra-version of the state law and will have to deal with the proper State Agencies at this point. I had enough! I have written an official complaint about this LC shop and their Optometrists to the North Carolina Boards of Opticians and Optometrists Examiners. I’m not “A KAREN” and I don’t complain typically, but enough is enough. I saw that many folks here had very bad experience with LC employees. They are not kidding! I had my prescription changed so I wanted to re-use my frames, after paying for the lens I am handed my glasses in a plastic bag, I asked if they could give me a case for them but was told they didnt have any cases. I was asked if I had purchased the frames at their store, if I had then they i would have been a given me a case. Talk about cheap, I had to wait two weeks for the glasses never given a time when they would be ready other than 7 to 10 days, not even a text.

After reading some bad reviews below I felt compelled to share my very positive experience with this location. I called before coming to check on any special COVID 19 procedures and the rep was very helpful and professional. She also told me the best place to park to quickly access the store in the mall. I was helped by two sales associates when I went in who were both incredibly friendly and helpful. One of them spent quite a bit of time with me and was patient and upbeat despite me being a picky customer. I was comfortable with their COVID precautions as well. Great job Lenscrafters!

My son and I have been going to Lenscrafters for years but in the days of the pandemic my fear was that we would be understandably have a lack of customer service from the team... most especially as we just moved to North Carolina. What we experienced at Lenscrafters Southpointe with Josephine and Dr. Banhart is a kind and white glove attention to both my son and myself. We were even accomodated for an unplanned vision check. The team must be highly commended for their expediency and their attention to customers. Josephine was able to get my son a new pair of glasses within 45 minutes after the quick vision checkup which was overdue by Dr. Basharat. We didnt even have an appointment but as soon as Josephine found out that my son had a broken pair of glasses, she and Dr. Basharats office was able to squeeze us in even with them being booked up. To say we had a great experience would be an understatement. We will be back to see the team at Lenscrafters at Southpointe Mall in Durham, NC again.

Today I went to pick up my glasses. The ladies who attended at 3:20 p.m. were two ladies whom overflowed of attention. The shop was completely emptly, they were very nasty, no greetings, nothing kind at all. It was my first time I am gonna wear glasses for reading when I put my glasses I saw strange I told her but she didnt explain me too much. I suppose that I must check this week if I need to adjust something... Even from the first day they were very rude to attend. I feel very disappointed is like you make a favour. I think if those ladies doesnt want to work there please leave the spot to another person who really want to work and be nice to the clients instead the clients feel quite upset after this kind of attention. Definitely, I wont come back and I do not recommend this place at all.. .

Warning! I went in for replacement glasses and picked a pair from their $99 total package group. I had lost my glasses and needed a pair right away. The sales lady told me if I wanted them that day there was only one kind available.... the ones that turn darker in the light. I didn’t want them and then was told it would take much longer for regular ones. The moral of the story is now I hate my glasses every time I go into the light and those $99 sunglasses turned into $250. Every time I see him I think how I got taken at the store by a greedy sales clerk. (And FYI - I had insurance but she said it would cost more with insurance copays than without!!!!)

They acted like adjusting my glasses was like asking them to perform brain surgery. Take your money to Warby Parker in Raleigh. The only reason Im giving 3 stars is because of the selection of glasses.***A week later***Ive revised my review! This place is pretty bad, especially considering I spent $500+ on Burberry glasses. After the terrible experience I noted previously, these knuckleheads some how ordered me the wrong frames, making me drive out of my way twice due to their error. Not the greatest when it comes to customer service. I get the impression they dont know how to balance a high volume of people at a time, which is unfortunate for a store thats located in a mall -- known to have a high volume of people at one time. Some sales reps are better than others. When I went to pick up my glasses, they just showed it to me, didnt ask me to try it on or anything about the fit and carried on to the next customer. Though they ended up working out, I didnt appreciate the lack of care taken, especially for such a pricey selection. If you want my money, and want to keep it, treat me better please.

My wife and I were at the store to pick up our glasses( 03/08/2020) around 3.30 pm. There were two ladies in customer services. they were very rude with us. The one who gave us the glasses, she didnt ask us to test our glasses. Cheap materials. Coating of lenses peeled off within the first month and then store blame me saying i must have used a strong detergent to clean them. Had to buy the warranty because they were pretty much useless. Took longer but it happened again. I have been wearing glasses for 25 yrs. never had this problem before.

Theres nothing wrong with this lens. You will eventually get used to having to turn your head and directly face what you want to focus on, the lady at LensCrafters actually said, about the dead spot on my lens, after holding my glasses up the light and squinting.I put on my old pair, which somehow do allow me to focus on things without extreme head movement, and asked for my money back, saying Id try somewhere else. Good luck with that!, she said, smirking.

I had two identical frames that I needed new lenses for. Same frame, same prescription...very different results. First ground, one pair was okay still not as clear as I thought they should be, but at least I could see out of them, the other pair was WAY off. So I left the way off pair to be redone and then they were still off. The guy just asked me, well, what do you want to do? No apology, actually seemed annoyed I was not satisfied. I ended up having them put the old lens back into the glasses and got a refund for one of the pairs. Remember the other pair was not 100%. UGH!!!!! I will NEVER go back. I dont care how cheap the lenses or frames are. And the selection of frames is really outdated, nothing really cool or innovative....

If you are looking to buy used frames or frames that have been handled hundreds of times, or maybe if you are looking to spend more money this is the place for you. No one who works there is smiling, prices are higher for frames that are damaged then new ones are at other places such as Upchurch Optical Center down the road. On a positive note, they can get you your glasses, frames, and walk-in eye exam all within a couple hours next door. For this reason I could not give the place a single star.

Terrible experience. Ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses. After 14 days and several calls was told that they messed up and asked me to come and get a loaner.To top of it, I was told that itll be another 10 days to get the pair and they cant make any special request.This place is full of incompetent people with really bad attitude. Luxotica owns all these stores and Ray ban. People should stop buying Ray Ban since they are pushing cheap product through their own stores.

I arrived a few minutes early, then waited 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time and was still not even back to see the optician who does the initial screening. I scheduled my appointment during my lunch hour, so I wasnt able to wait longer. I asked the receptionist for my insurance card back to leave - was never offered any explanation or apologies. I am so grate full to whoever answered the phone tonight! I got contact lenses two days ago, and tonight could not get them out! I spent 3 1/2 hours on-line trying every method I could find. My husband drove me to 3 pharmacies, Target, and we called Walmart. We were searching for one of those gizmos that sticks to your contact and pulls it out. I talked to 3 pharmacists. . . My eye doctors office was closed. I called LensCrafters and they kindly and patiently talked me through a technique that worked! He also explained why the gizmo I was pursuing was not a good idea( bad internet, bad.) If I could get this kind of assistance over the phone, I imagine theyd be even more exemplary in person!

The worst Lenscrafter Ive ever been too. There is a lot of people walking around with name tags on but nobody seems to be interested in helping. I stop by to get my glasses adjusted and I waited for about 15 mins and NOBODY came back to help me. There were several staff walking around but I guess ONLY certain staff can adjust glasses. And the worst part about it my glasses never was adjusted. I probably will NEVER buy anything from that lenscrafter again.

I was ready to buy a pair of Ray bans but with the service I got, I decided to take my business elsewhere. Theres a older gentleman that works there that seems to have a bad aditude.
