Nice cafe with cute decor. The outdoor space in the back is almost unusable due to the summer heat. Maybe it would be nice in the winter. I think they lack some greenery. It is a bit hard to find parking in the area. The coffee is ok.

This is my new favorite spot in Durham. The drip (the measure by which I judge all coffee shops) was delicious—nutty, smooth, not too acidic. I feel this is underrated, but they also have one of the most impressive collections of tea that I’ve seen around. The atmosphere, and free WiFi, are perfect for working for several hours. I would definitely come back with a friend just for the food, which sounds like a lighter version of the Ethiopian food served by Goorsha that I already know I love.

What a gem!!! Love the original Goorsha, so lovely to be able to get a Gojo fix during the day. Awesome covered outdoor seating area in the back. Would stay there all day if I could!

This place is just what Brightleaf needs. I had the best mocha since moving to durham almost 5 years ago and the covered patio in the back is so peaceful and relaxing.

A heretofore hidden gem! After being told about this small-yet-spacious cafe a month ago, Ive made a few visits, and each time I have been very impressed. As others have noted, the interior decor is beautiful, the patio is perfect for these socially-distant-days, and the food/coffee offerings are the same caliber as its close relative, Goorsha. Very excited to see this cafe up and running despite the setbacks of the past year.

Really cozy cafe with tons of covered outdoor seating. The panini are incredible and a great price for how much food you get. Also very interesting to have Ethiopian flavors in a sandwich, its like nothing else Ive ever had. Will definitely come back for the Ethiopian coffee ceremony sometime!

Cant believe Im just now finding out about Gojo. This place is an absolute gem of a cafe in the downtown Durham area. I didnt get the coffee but got a smoothie which was delicious. Customer service was also excellent and they have a huge patio for seating, in addition to the beautifully-decorated interior seating space. This certainly wont be my last visit and Im looking forward to trying some of their other menu items and pastries as well.

I went to the GoJo on a lunch date and it was perfect! The food was amazing, very flavorful and healthy. I also had a Vanilla Latte which gave me the energy boost I needed for the rest of the day. The space is very beautiful and relaxing. The owner was extremely friendly and mentioned future plans for the space. Very impressed and super excited to discover this hidden gem.

We walked to Gojo this morning for coffee and a bite, what a great place!! My latte was VERY good and I can’t wait to come to Gojo with a book and linger with friends when the world opens again- the cafe and their outdoor patio at the back are going to be amazing when the weather warms up. I had the avocado and cheese panini for breakfast and it was exceptional. I’m looking forward to the next time we go back (which will be soon!)

GoJo by Goorsha is a must try. Tucked behind its parent restaurant GoJo offers a relaxed cafe atmosphere with a Ethiopian vibe. I do not drink coffee, however the panini‘s were amazing. The outdoor seating in the back is covered and has fans. Great place to grab lunch or to meet over a coffee.

My wife and I visited Gojo and had an amazing time! The paninis and traditional Ethiopian coffee were absolutely delicious, and both the inside and outside provide a great ambience. Additionally, the owner was extremely warm and took the time to chat with us about the creativity that goes into the dishes, as well as about his future plans for Gojo. Well certainly be coming back!

I just ate the most delicious protein bowl at Gojo - doro tibs + tekif gomen + kik alecha + beetroot salad + injera - and a lovely rooibos chai tea latte, all of this on the excellent advice of the owner. The cafe interior was beautiful and I look forward to eating inside one day, but for the present the patio was also a great option, quiet and pretty and shockingly un-crowded given the quality of the food and ambiance. I will be back!

Although driving to Durham from south Raleigh feels like a trek sometimes, we’ll definitely be coming back soon! My husband and I had The Gojo and The Abben paninis as well as coffee served in a tradition Ethiopian jebena. As an Ethiopian myself, I’m always a little skeptical when people take creative liberties with Ethiopian food, but Fasil (the owner) has done an incredible job creating this menu! The paninis preserved the traditional flavors while providing an entirely new experience. We enjoyed our coffee and paninis on the back patio on this warm(ish) January afternoon. The reggae playing in the background was also a nice touch.
