I tried to do the right thing while selling my Chevy Equinox and disclosed everything that it needed. While James Tabler was very helpful & all around nice guy, the company is not so very helpful & very hush hush. They showed me a list of deductions of why they couldnt pay me what I thought my car was worth. But when I asked for that list they refused. I just wanted to get back some of my money from the mechanic that did some of the work and messed things up. After having to pay an additional $3100 to pay off my car, I now have to pay the mechanic who made those mistakes to my car an additional $900. I really dont see what the big deal is just to give me a hand written note that says the price of things they deduct from the price of the car. It makes me think that We Buy any Car is a very shady company! They are very secretive in the way they handle business! I would not send anyone there to sell their car. We Buy any Car says its their lawyers fault....what a cop out! Very disappointed!

Had a very easy and pleasant experience selling our car to webuyanycar. The salesperson, James, was helpful and explained the entire process as he inspected our car for physical damage and mechanical issues. Was thorough in explaining how much it would cost them fix all the damage and compared that to how much value our car was given in our estimated offer by them originally online and what the difference was. Then when the car was literally in the negative value range because of bumps and dings, he worked with us on a fair price so we didnt walk away empty handed.

They cant even look at your car if you havent received your title yet knowing the delays going on with the nc dmv. Terrible. Take your car to carfax they can appraise it without the title.

He seemed very nice and polite, however it became clear very quickly that he was deliberately wasting our time so we would be more inclined to let him buy the car at a low price (eg, weve already been here for 2 hours, please just take the car so I can be done with this, aka the Sunk Cost Fallacy).After over an hour of reviewing paperwork (all of which we had already submitted before we arrived), we went outside to inspect the car, and among other strange issues he found with the car, he claimed they would have to knock A LOT off the value because the automatic doors didnt work, and didnt listen to us (or change his valuation) when we explained they would work if we turned them on. In any case, after another 30 minutes, he finally gave us his initial offer of $63.No thats not a typo. Literally 63 dollars. We negotiated for a little while, and it became clear that he wasnt going to go above $200, which was well below our lowest available price, so we left.We ended up donating the car for the tax write-off, and the charity let us know they ended up selling the car for $1300.Now, I completely understand that selling something to a vendor requires they pay you less than they can flip the item for, thats how they make money! But I feel that $63 for a car that could sell for $1300 was unacceptable, and you should definitely go elsewhere to sell your old cars.
