Absolutely Great experience! they installed my aftermarket non in store purchased radio without any hard time!I forgot the name of the guy who helped but hes been there for 13 years and im sure he will keep on doing his great job!

Been doing audio in my vehicles almost two decades. This is the first shop that I havent felt like they are trying to take advantage of you. Prices are right on the money to what they should be without the 100% markup of other shops. Bought a amp had a issue. Not only did they take back the amp for repairs, they advised me that they might be able to upgrade it to the new one and, he gave me a loner to use in the meantime. Will not ever use or buy from anyone ells. They need to get those decals done for me so I can rock the name on the ride. They deserve it......

Great selection of brands, tons of product in stock, and no price gouging. Theyre authorized resellers for this equipment so they can order stuff you cant find online.Friendly staff who isnt disrespectful even if youre small potatoes really makes it. This place will be my go-to from now on.

So far Im not satisfied so far had to take back still waiting on verdict.(Update).... After they addressed the issue its actually louder than it was before. They told me the subwoofer that I had in the box was coming loose and had to use better screws... so far so good.

Just had a nice Pioneer Nex head unit, door speakers and much more installed and tuned. I always give my honest review so here it is. The cons, The communication, call backs are not a good. I am the type that when you tell me your going to call me back, then call back. One of the workers really had a sarcastic attitude after I was told my truck would be ready at a certain time and when I showed, I still had to wait 3 hours..not good. They Kept my truck for 2 weeks and seemed like they didnt really do the work till the last day of the second week, not good. Missing parts on vehicle after install, not good. Cons, Thomas seemed to be the guy that knows his stuff and made my truck sound like only what I could have dreamed it to sound. He has my respect and he is the man I recommend to get an amazing sound in your vehicles. It definitely doesnt come cheap but in the end it is worth it. Thanks to Thomas for giving me credit on some returns and for being do good at what you do. I will recommend to any one to see go talk to you or Monte. ***** star to Thomas and ** star to the other installer that gave me misinformation over the phone and sarcastic attitude after I waited 2 weeks.

I wanted to give a honest review with our first experience at Extreme Audio. I enjoyed the professionalism and knowledge of this business. Very friendly and got the job done that we showed up for and they took me right in for the install. The system sounds great also. I would have rated 5 star but because of the hours it took to do it all and the wait I gave 4 star. If Montie would please, Keep my factory sub for me so I can pick it up next Saturday. They forgot to give it back for me to take home and I need it to put back in incase I ever sell please. I will be returning for future sensor install because you guys know your stuff. Thanks again.

I called 3 other places before talking to Thomas, and the other guys were going to be 180-270 to install a simple receiver from crutchfield. Thomas did it in 30 minutes for 70 bucks. And he saw that my AC filter wasnt in place and reinstalled it for free - no wonder I have been sneezing so much. Fast, considerate and professional. I know where I am going from now on

Got a indash installed and they did a great job, I can now answer my phone calls on Bluetooth and my kids watch their movies on our long trips!! The guy there was very nice and answered all my questions!!! Thank you for the professional work that was done! Really recommend this place if you need anything installed in your car

This place and the people that work there are simply amazing. I took my 2005 4runner there for a new cd player. Monty recommended that I get a double din for my car and that it would look more factory, I wanted my steering wheel control to stay functional with the aftermarket radio and another place told me that it would not work no matter what I do. The guys at extreme told me all I needed was a steering wheel control interface and that it would work fine with the pioneer double din I was getting. The work was done flawlessly and my speakers in the car sound twice as good with the new radio I purchased. This place will be getting my business and my recommendation from now on!

Extreme Car Audio installed a radio and speakers in my Jeep CJ7. Prior to the install we discussed not cutting the dash to install the speakers. They cut the dash and installed speaker covers over top. At pickup there was not point in complaining because the dash was cut and there was not going back.After 4 months the radio stopped working. I took the jeep by for them to look at. They confirmed the radio was broken and would need replaced. They stated because the radio had probably gotten wet (driving the jeep without a top in the rain) they would not replace it. Prior to install we discussed the possibility of the radio getting wet because the Jeep doesnt have a top and its a Jeep, they get wet and muddy. They said with the radio they were going install it wouldnt be an issue.Id suggest looking elsewhere for your car audio needs.

Experience makes all the difference. I was looking for a solution to the 2005 LC factory nav-audio system and they had me up and running in a couple of hours. Very pleased with sound, functionality and performance.

Thomas was more than helpful and fair. I needed some mild work done to my civic. It turned out to be more complicated than planned, but the work was done well and I was happy to pay for the trouble.

Good place, not that pricey and knowledgeable. Able to get the work done quickly and professionally. Although they did claim my alarm had been installed with some features that it is lacking. So I will have to go back to the store and see if I can get that fixed.

Was looking to get a set of door speakers for my car but came back later to get some subs and an amp. They helped me figure out what I wanted and the prices were competitive. Installation couldnt have gone smoother. Theyre also the only ones in Durham to carry Sundown so thats a plus

STAY AWAY. Dont be fooled by positive reviews. They are FAKE.Shady business. The technician had no clues what he was doing. He ruined my car.The owner (Muslim woman) was very rude and even threatening when I went back to complain. Basically kicked me out.Save your time, money and nerves and go to a reputable business.

Awesome experience. I actually had an issue with my seatbelt and the installer Thomas was able to open my SUV panels and fix my seatbelt from being jammed..

Its a sad thing that i have spent thousand of dollars at this place to be treated so horrible my wife went to your shop because when i came there and told you what kind of car she has and i told you she has a SS impala and year you said she need a module so i left came back ger and her car and in the mist of us talking iwas inquire one for my lincoln so the volume can work un my lincoln also thats why she got the lincoln but you lied and said you told me about it sure that it need a module for this to work so when she went there she cant get help and so she wanted ger money back or to work nothing was ever told to me about it needed another module that wasnt said she spent 120 for radio and 120 for module then 60 to install then you say she need another one more expensive you never said that its said that yall lost a loyal custome and my friends

Great customer service and awesome staff. I purchased 2 l7 kickers an got serviced in a timely manner. Ran into some complication an had to bring them back to be swapped out. They gave me an even swap, and installed on the spot was in and out, satisfied and smiling in less than 30 mins. Preciate the great work and effort to compromise.

Very bad service extreme audio put a tv deck in my suv after a month everything they touch stop working please don’t spend no money with then they use to be awesome but they have new owners the older Hispanic lady is not the owner anymore.

I walked in here at close to closing just for a quote but walked out with my stereo installed after they stayed late to do it for me which in my mind you cant ask for better customer service! and the stereo is great :):) best price around and wonderful helpful people here, so happy I will be back!

I had a major install done here. I needed 3 Kicker L7 15s put in, in a ported box, 4 amps, two front speakers (and then an extra set of tweeters up front), two rear speakers, and a head unit. Another place told me they werent sure they could port my box and that it wouldnt make a big difference. Of course it makes a big difference. When I first talked to Thomas and told him what I wanted, and that another place wasnt sure it could be done, he said, I can do it. That was all it took for me. He has been doing this a long time. He customized everything for me. He built the most beautiful speaker box I have ever seen. The craftsmanship is truly impressive. The amp board is super sick. He took his time, and he kept me updated through the install. I was really impressed. I refer all my friends there, because anyone can put in a set of subs. Anyone can build a box. But theres a lot more to it than that. That guy got me 6 cubic feet of air space after speaker displacement. Hes a whiz. Why go to Best Buy and pay more for something that is, at best, the same. He has over 20 years of experience. And if thats not enough to convince you, come stick your face in my car, because that mofo DROPS.

BEWARE!!!! I went in for a installation and they charged me for parts I didnt need or used and the price quoted on the phone was $15 higher after the install was done. These people are CROOKS! I will NEVER go back there and you should save your business for an HONEST company.

Happy Customer Back again . .UPDATE FEBRUARY 9th 2017...Today I am taking my time to write the review, there prices are real good compared to, all the other audio shops around Durham and Raleigh area, I have done 3 different set ups from them . Customer service is 5star and more. The lady is very nice and friendly. Hopefully I will be upgrading to Sundown 12 Zv4. With a Sundown 1500d amp... in a week ...... Great friendly installers .... You get what you pay for. They installed my battery on the wrong fuse killing my battery. And there’s a short in my amp. The shortage was finally found after the 3rd or 4th time there. Now i will be taking my vehicle back in the morning, because i was stranded on the road after they screwed my amp down in my car to my spare tire. Yes they claimed my speaker problems was due to my amp not being properly secured in my trunk so their response was to screw the amp down in my trunk....and they did it through my tire.

Made an APPOINTMENT and got there on time but the guy who was to do my install never showed up. The owner said he was in court. She was VERY nice but does that really matter if she cant do the business that she is there for? I waited a little over 3 hours for him to come in and he never showed up. She called another guy to come in and he said he would be there at 3:30 so I left, ran some errands and came back. I took the day off for this appointment and some other errands. I got back there at 3:30 the guy wasnt there. She called him on the phone and he said he had just got in from Raleigh and would be there as soon as he grabbed a bite to eat. 30 minutes later she called him where are you? he said he was leaving then. 20 minutes later she called again and her calls were going straight to voicemail. I left after waiting 20 more minutes and him never showing up or calling her to tell her why. Arrgh!!I will say that she was very nice and frustrated at the lack of responsibility and unethical behavior of her workers and I felt bad for her because how can you continue to stay in business like this? The bottom line though is that I went there for a service, took the day off and wasted hours of my time!! I wont go there again.
