Really slow at unloading. I’ve delivered wood products here 5 times now. I wait minimum an hour before I even get started unloading. Never had this problem with any lumber store but this one. Most annoying part of waiting long here is that there is no room so I have move my truck back and forth to let other vehicles by until they decide to unload me. Literally saw the guy unloading pass by about 10 times in the forklift not carrying a thing. Management really needs to work on this.

The gentleman who answered the phone this morning was very helpful in helping me to locate the product that I needed. He saved me a lot of effort by going above and beyond his duties. Thank you.

Cant say enough good things about this place. They have nearly everything you need on a day-to-day general construction basis, at good pricing and good quality, and a huge diversity of materials available for order. Special order items are shipped as fast or faster than other places. Sales consultants are knowledgable, efficient, and personable - props to Kyle Eubanks for all his handling of my account. If, on the rare occasion, theres an issue with an order, theyre quick to get it resolved - thanks to Justin Cox as well for his efforts there. The two Kevins and others up front are also quite alright. The loaders out in the yard are always on point, friendly, and helpful. They keep the yard quite clean and well organized. Really everyone there treats me like Im a million dollar a month customer despite just being a small-time business. They will surely remain my first supplier as long as Im working, and I will always refer anyone in need of a wide variety of materials to Talbert.

Terrible customer service - called salesman all day and he did not answer phone or call back until the end of the day. Take your money to Home Depot or Lowes - if your not a big client they dont want your money and dont want to waste their time on you.

I initially was quite upset about my experience, but credit to these guys for making it right.They deserve a ton of credit for how they handled everything. I think it shows a lot about how they run their business.

Called around noon to ask if they had any deck rail pickets in stock and was told I needed to leave my information and wait for sales to get back from lunch. Called back around 1:30pm after not receiving a callback and was directed to sales twice with no answer. Then I asked the non-sales worker if there’s anyway she can see if the have any pickets in stock and was told all she could do was take another message. Terrible customer service. Will not buy from here anymore.

Just went in because I wanted to support a local business and not one single person working gave me the time of day. Maybe it’s because I’m a woman maybe it’s cuz they were busy maybe both. Regardless it was a very irritating experience to be standing in front of the counter and be ignored with 4 people sitting there

I went in for a few screws and nuts to fit a particular craft project I was working on, and the man at the counter quickly found everything I needed. And - to my surprise - he let me have them for free! He said that it wasnt worth filling out the paper work in order to sell me such small items. Amazing service!

I wasnt really sure what to expect when I went to Talburt Building Supply. Im a DIY type of guy and most building supply stores I have been to dont make much of an effort if your only buying a few items.I found the store, it was in a rather odd location but there was a large sign out front directing me there. Once inside the store I saw what appeared to be the typical hardware store setup, with a few additional things like windows/doors/ect.The product I was looking for wasnt on display. I was looking for something very specific thickness wise and before buying the product I wanted to be certian it would work. I went up to the counter, and asked one of the employees if he had any samples. A moment later he brought over a sample, then asked what sizes I wanted. He quoted me some prices and also included some similar products of different brands in the quote to give me an idea what the cost of each would be.I told him I would need 4 of these items, and asked if it would be possible to get them delivered. He said yes, while he was ringing everything up I remembered I needed one more item to install the product. He directed me to the exact location in the store where the extra thing I needed was and included it in the bill.On checkout he asked if I needed the item delivered today. I said If its possible it would be great but I honestly didnt expect them to make it.A few hours later a truck rolled into my front yard, dropped off the item that was that.I wouldve given them a 5 star rating but the store hours of 7am - 4pm on weekdays and not open on weekends makes it extremely difficult for any person who works outside the construction industry to get to the store while they are open. It would be nice if once a month they had extended store hours (no delivery) on a weekend or weekday.
