I had called earlier that day and had asked around a few stores if they had my size box spring, Jeff was the nicest person that I spoke to so I decided to go there. I went to pick up my box spring and the process was very quick and easy. Jeff is a very knowledgeable person and was able to answer all my questions. Definitely recommend mattress warehouse near target on Durham/chapel Hill blvd. Will definitely come back here when it’s time to get a new mattress!

At the warehouse itself, the salesman was absolutely wonderful. Helpful. The delivery however was not. The delivery person dropped the bed base, which is a mechanical device twice, and then denied having done so. Then, wrapped up the trash with my packet and warranty materials and was about to throw it away when I retrieved it. The delivery men were not friendly. They attempted to walk into my home without putting the booties on. They did not explain how the bed worked nor did they show me the battery pack underneath and how it was to be attached.

From the salesman to the delivery they are the best, 100/ percent professional. I visited three other places and walked out. I recommend mattress warehouse to. Everyone, they are the best.The delivery was supposed to be on the afternoon, they called me and came at 9 am, perfect, the delivery guys were fantastic, and they took all the garbage. I will give this company A plus.👍

Michael is the best! First of all, he really took his time with us to determine the right mattress, including a digital assessment and multiple rounds of us trying mattresses and discussing the pros and cons of each. He was extremely knowledgeable about the origins and materials of each mattress. We never felt like he was pushing anything on us.We unfortunately had to cancel our order when a house we were looking to buy fell through, but Michael was very gracious, providing very reasonable options, including a full refund. We took the full refund, but we liked working with him so much that we came back and bought the bed once we settled on a new living situation.All that to say- excellent customer service and empathy from Michael! I called Mattress Warehouse of Durham today and a gentleman, by the name of Jeff, helped me. Jeff was extremely friendly, he took the time to check to see if the store had mattress toppers in stock, there were three left and Jeff saved two for me. It was so refreshing to have a friendly, helpful, and patient salesman.

We have been looking for a new mattress for a few months now and knew we wanted one - we went to another company and were helped but didn’t feel drawn to purchase anything from them. We then decided to check mattress warehouse and the general manager michael was beyond amazing!!! He took the time to ask the important questions about our needs and explained everything to us very in depth. Not to mention there were other customers in the store and he managed to make sure everyone was taken care of and satisfied. We thought we were in the market for a tempurpedic (not the cheapest by any means) and michael did not try to sway us one way or the other which some salesmen may have tried to do! Great experience! Definitely consider this mattress warehouse location for any sleeping needs. We know where we will be going when we are in need again! (Side note we actually got a different brand than temper and saved money… win win!!!!)

This review is about the sales experience, not the product (which seems fine). But stores differentiate themselves by the quality of their customer service, and I just had one of the worst such experiences in my life at this store. The bottom line was we were told our item would arrive Thursday night, so to avoid their outrageous $100 delivery fee for a 5-mile trip, we rented a Lowe’s truck for $20. But when we arrived, the salesman on duty said it hadn’t come. What was irritating was that when we asked for an explanation, he first attempted to blame the salesperson that told us it would be there and then to blame us for not checking in advance as to whether it had actually arrived 2 days after it was promised. He then added that he actually told us to call to check, which was an outright lie (and remember, he was the one who stated that it was not him, but another salesperson, who talked to us about the delivery!). That ticked me off and from there, it went south fast. And at one point, he threatened to throw me out of the store because I was “disrespecting” him! Well, I guess I was because he basically lost my respect the minute he refused to take responsibility for the situation. If at any point, he had made any good-faith effort to address our situation, I would have responded favorably. But he was totally clueless as to how to handle an irate customer. Ultimately, we decided to return the item rather than deal with him any longer, and he said that it would take up to 6 weeks to get our refund! (So, I’m giving his company a 6-week, interest-free loan? How generous of me!). Curiously, when I returned the truck to Lowe’s (a company that believes that the customer is always right and provides an instant refund), I asked the manager how they train their staff to handle an irate customer, and relayed my experience. She was horrified at what I went through and her answer as to what Lowe’s does was pretty much along the lines of what they call the “4-A’s” in customer service: Agree (that the customer has a right to be upset), Apologize (for the inconvenience), Act (i.e., say what you will do to correct it), and Appreciate (i.e., thank the customer for bringing the issue to their attention, and allowing them to correct it). Perhaps our salesman was never taught that (in which case, it’s the manager’s fault) or maybe he was and it went in one ear and out the other (which would be his fault). Regardless, his inexcusable behavior is a disservice to customers, to the store’s reputation, and to all salespeople who understand the importance of practicing their craft competently.

Daniel is the BEST!! He went straight to the mattress that was for us. We ended up buying two of the Brighton twin pillow top mattresses for our boys!! Highly recommended!!

I recommend Mattress Warehouse of South Square to anyone in the Triangle who is looking for a new mattress. Mel was extremely helpful in assisting me with picking out a new mattress set that fit my needs and budget. I went with a Serta Perfect Sleeper, but had been thinking about a Nectar, and Mel was very honest and informative to help me realize that the Serta would be better, even though the Nectar was more expensive. Delivery process was smooth. Team came out when they said they would, and it was easy to track the delivery online. And the original mattress that they brought had a hole on the bottom, and they were able to bring out a non-defective exchange the very next morning! Excited about my new bed!

Great idea having a computer programmed to narrow down my mattress choices by pressure points and matching my sleeping position. Very efficient time saving process! Michael, the salesperson was very helpful and low keyed, showing the options till I I found the perfect match which I did! He then worked to give me the best price and with a layaway option! Salesperson was wonderful, worked with us a priced matched to get us a great deal.We had to wait over a month for our frame to arrive from another vendor, but as soon as it did we were able to schedule delivery.Delivery guys were great, showed up within the delivery window. Put in the foundation and the mattress and took all their trash with them. Didnt scratch up the walls or anything and worked quickly!

I came in to look at a Tempurpedic bed that lifts, after my surgery. I would never go back to this location, I bought my bed from somewhere else. The girl that was in the store spent most of the 20 mins we were there cursing somebody out on the phone. We could only assume by the parts that we heard that it was her boyfriend or someone of the like because it got real graphic x-rated and inappropriate real quick. Outside of being ignored for a phone call mostly the whole experience was just completely unprofessional from her head to her toes. All i really got out of it from the door was financing being shoved down our throat before we even got to feel a bed. I dont like to typecast people but this cant be explained any other way except to say SUPER GHETTO. It felt more like a back alley deal place than a bed store. You guys must be hiring anybody. I felt like she may have stabbed a few people in prison. Do not go here please run.
