The staff is rude! The owners are equally as rude! I was followed and watched the entire time o was in the store. No customer service. I asked about hair and the cashier acted as if I bothered her! I purchased a wig. Got home & tried it on and it looks absolutely nothing like it does on the box. Of course there’s no refunds or exchanges! I’ll never go back to any of their establishments!

Not all black people are thieves. I don’t like being followed down every aisle. Will be shopping at the store next to dollar tree for now on. They treat me like I want to spend my money not steal a $20 wig

Needed a styrofoam head to model the wigs we have for sale. And a black velvet backdrop for our jewelry.Thankfully they had it in stock!!!

Always helpful. They dont follow you around the store. You can shop in peace and help is available. Their prices are fair too, not the normal mark ups you see in other beauty supply stores.

They have so much to choose from. It is a bit overwhelming however,there is no reason a lay person or stylist cannot find products they are looking for. The prices are great too.

You know what you going to get. They been in Durham forever still the same basic service.

Here lately I have been having problems. It seems that someone is putting old hair cheap hair into the boxes of the good hair. I went to 3 store got all the same brand open all the boxes all was the same but the one from sunny. Now I been coming here over 20 years. I know my hair I get the same hair everytime. This here is not the hair that was spos to be in that box. Somebody put this in there and and made a good profit off of it. It will not happen again I will never come back.

I havent been here in a while but I love how much bigger and more organized it has become so now I dont need to go to beauty world.

Ive been coming here since they’ve reopened and i absolutely love this place! sunny has everything you need and much more. the employees there are such a big help and they don’t stare you down like other beauty supply stores do. everyone one there is very welcoming and are very knowledgeable. would definitely keep coming here and will recommend to everyone i know!!

This location has great variety on hair care products, I love their hair accessories for my little girl great box relaxers and hair the costumer service is ok, I prefer to look around and find things on my own anyways.

I didnt mind going here but ever isle I turned on I was being followed. I stopped shopping 🛍 here completely! This is something all black people should do. Hold on to your hard earned money when a place of business treats you like a thief! I never go back to places that do this. I dont care how convenient it is for me. I do not like businesses in black communities looking for the black dollar 💵 but treating everyone who walks into their place of business like a thief or criminal.

Cool place ..just dont go 20 minutes before closing. The sweet little oriental lady @ the register will start yelling We close...5 minute! Sunny Beauty Close, 5 minute. I had anxiety by the time I left lol

The cashier was very sweet. You usually don’t get great customer service when you go into beauty supply stores but all the workers there were very helpful! They also have a very wide selection. I think it moved a block away from the listed address though.

The owner was very helpful and sweet. I definitely recommend them based off of her customer service. I plan on going back in the future for more product purchases.

Employees are friendly. Aisles are confusing and cluttered but “hot” items are marked with signs. Bigger selection for synthetic and braiding hair like Model Model etc, not really for good quality virgin human hair etc. I don’t recommend purchasing hair and general products you haven’t tried before here because almost everything is final sale, many items they won’t even allow you to exchange with a receipt. Great option for when the big Beauty World on Avondale is closed!

Sunny ( I haven’t saw since the late 90s )and his wife are friendly people which made this company friendly,warm, and inviting, but there daughters are just the opposite cold and distant the other employees are more friendly than there daughters, and you gotta spend $5.00 or more if you using your credit/debit card.
