This AAA location is exceptional! The staff is friendly, professional and courteous. My vehicle required multiple repairs and they were able to help me prioritize those repairs into different categories and layout a service plan. Starting with safety needs, then creature comfort wants. I would absolutely recommend this location for vehicle service! AAA+ job!

Terrible experience Everytime u go to triple a you are waiting for a very long time and if you are not there physically with your car they wont call or update u about your vehicle you get pushed to the side even if u have an appointment I get places are low on staff but that means customer service skills should be on point . I went to Westgate triple a in Durham . My car sat in the parking lot from 10 am to the next day to around 10 to get diagnostics test ran on my car they said it takes a long time for diagnostics .. now get this I went to the Honda dealership I had an appointment at 11:20 am they text me my results at 10:17 am and also had reasonable price for a fuel pump .However I love triple As road side assistance service they are always on time and professional.

Took My car in for a oil change. I pretty much drive around town, about 4 weeks later my oil engine light comes on. So I call AAA to explain my problem, they told to make appointment bring it in. Also told me to do not drive my vehicle. So I had my vehicle towed in by AAA. The problem I had with the check engine light was due to AAA Not putting my oil dip stick back in tightly causing oil to spill out. That could have been a expensive repair.

Went in for an oil change only. However, they rotated my tires without first alerting me. My car has different front and rear tires that are not supposed to be rotated. When I noticed what they had done the next day, my husband brought it in to get them rotated back. Turns out they only rotated one side incorrectly the first time, so the second time they didn’t bother to check and rotated both sides. The next day I then notice what they did- I then had one front tire and one back tire on the front, and the same on the back. I bring it back in and they finally get it right. After about 5 days and much of my time wasted, I can honestly say that it was the worst car service I have ever had.

Advertise that you offer transportation only when you offer transportation. If you don’t, the customer will have to choose between paying $40 for an Uber home and back, or at best, waste an hour of his morning finding out in-person that AAA advertises something they don’t follow through with.Covid is not a reason to mislead. Be upfront.

I had a flat tire and I had the road hazard warranty so I called the service person Chris on the Friday Sept 3 he said it would be there the following Tuesday it wasnt, when I called them he said would he there the following Tuesday it wasnt.he processed to say because of covid and things be backed àt the port it would be six to eight weeks. So I called back and ask for the road hazard warranty phone number the person gave me the number.I called.I ask if I got my own tire would they reimburse me.they said yes I just need the claims number.I called back ask Chris for it there wasnt one he hadnt ordered it. So for two weeks he lied I ordered my own from Walmart was here in four days. He manager is staying he will pay me for the tire.but thats is not the point..

Staff was friendly and helpful. But I returned to my vehicle to find my glovebox in disarray. Instead of the tech asking me for the wheel lock, they took it upon themselves to search for it. They left the items on the seat and didn’t bother to return my glovebox to its organized state when I arrived. I don’t like that.

Friendly and professional folks are what I faced. I cant expect anything more from an automobile service store, been there for the state safety inspection, As expected, the report came as all good (as it is a one-year-old car), received a copy, the next day (very comprehensive, kudos to the report maker).

Service reps were friendly and communicated well, didnt try to upsell me on things that didnt need to be done/that I didnt already know needed to be addressed and they completed the service in the time they stated. Their waiting area could use a few more chairs but I went to the Target while they completed their diagnostics (bought more than I intended) and the service rep was kind enough to let me bring the cart in the lobby. He also returned the cart for me 👍🏻

I usually have a good experience here. The last time I went to have my battery checked out because I had some dashboard lights flicker on and off. After about 4 hours I called and was told it was just a sensor that needed resetting and it was ready for pick up. I went to go pick it up and then got in my car to leave and all of the lights were still on. I then was told it hadn’t even been looked at and that it wasn’t ready (I was taking time out of my work day to go get it). Then I go home and wait and then get a call saying they didn’t get to look at it that day and they wanted to keep it overnight. Then the next day I now owed $400 for a new sensor. It was overall a really frustrating experience and I was annoyed with how the situation was handled. If they were too busy that day I would have been happy to take it in the next day. It was also frustrating to have taken the time to go get it when they told me it was ready and they hadn’t actually even looked at it.

Purchased a 2010 Subaru Forester from the shop that they had installed head gaskets and several other things to the engine and the manager said they would stand behind their work . After numerous phone calls and email with promises to return a call left unreturned ! Im now facing a $2500 repair from another shop . Very unprofessional of the manager J. Stewart, at least return a phone call if you are not going to stand behind your word. If you have a import I would think twice about having repairs done here, very unprofessional .

I set up an appointment for an alignment for 1:00pm, a 1:15min went by had 1 car in front of me a the alignment tech was just showing up,so I got my keys back and left. They are always slow, need a new system.I Dont plan on going back. If you have plans I recommend using a shop that get to you on time. I set an appointment at another shop and they where on time and price was lower.

Battery died in target parking lot, jessica walked with me about a quarter mile to give me a jump. Then got me in and out in time for the meetings I scheduled th day.I considered a membership with aaa in the past, but I wasnt sold. I listened to the dozen or so benefits, saw how awesome the customer service was, and how quick I was able to get in and out and I signed up.Jessica is freaking amazing! She scrambled for information on my car, and bolted in and out grabbing the vin, make and model year, battery type etc....she 100% made it the best experience possible.Everything was quick, got a great battery with a better warranty, and signed up for their membership...look into their membership, its insane.Long story short, just go here before you go anywhere else.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Do not get your car serviced here if you want knowledgeable professionals working on your car. These technicians do not know what they are doing. I had my car towed to this AAA Car Care Center because my engine stopped working while I was driving. After four days AAA claimed they finally figured out the problem. They said with confidence that my engine had no coolant and no oil in it and that I would need a completely new engine for $6k+. Since I recently had my coolant topped off and get regular oil changes at the VW dealer, I knew this had to be false. I had my car towed to a VW expert who told me that the AAA technicians had broken numerous things on my engine and had not put it back together at all. They broke all the wiring for the ignition coils, they took the Mass Air Flow sensor off incorrectly and left it out in the elements which ruined it, spark plugs were randomly lying around, intake cover was sitting in my front drivers seat, and they left screws lying all around the engine bay. Because my engine wouldnt run, they treated my car like a piece of garbage. After the VW expert diagnosed the car, he concluded that the timing belt had failed and the car was off time, which ruined the engine. The failing of my engine had nothing to do with the coolant or oil levels: they were all perfectly fine.

When I went into the lobby to pay and get my keys, there were about 6 or 7 employees. One person was wearing a mask that covered his nose and mouth. Several had no mask on at all, and the others wore their masks so that only the mouth was covered - nose completely exposed. We are in a pandemic, people! Get with the program and wear your masks, and wear them properly!

Ive had bad experiences at AAA on 55 and this location seems to take much better care of their customers. Highly recommend!Update: Jessica here is absolutely fantastic! Shes knowledgeable, transparent, and wont try to sell you something you dont need. We have several vehicles and have had issues with other places in the past. I had an excellent experience using my AAA membership benefits and the car care services of the AAA Car Care location on Westgate Drive (South Square.)My van had been having battery and starting issues. I called to have the battery services come and they jump started the vehicle. They determined that the battery needed recharged and directed me to go to the Car Care Center for charging. This could have been a great inconvenience since the center is normally very busy and I had a mid-morning engagement. However, since I had some possible issues with the vehicle, I hoped to consult with them on the problem.When I met Jessica, Assistant Service Manager, at the counter, she immediately began taking charge of the situation regarding the battery charging and listening to the details of the history of the vehicle. Her customer service skills are top notch. Her focus is on the customer and I was truly put at ease. She offered for the courtesy car to take me to my engagement or pick me up, whatever I needed. She personally consulted with the technicians on a plan for running tests. She kept in communication with me. The AAA team discovered a parasitic electrical issue that was draining the battery. They fixed it by the next day and I was more than pleased. I had never considered the AAA as offering more than basic car care, but I would have to say that they offer good diagnostic services and repairs as well. Kudos to Jessica and the team!

About 6 months ago I had a battery go bad in my car and purchased the replacement through AAA ($150). I went a few weeks without driving my car and the battery died. I called the technician and they were unable to jump the battery. It appeared to be totally dead. My car was parked in a garage, so when the service provider came, they were unable to perform a diagnostic test because they require the internet (who knew battery diagnostics would require the internet). The parking garage has a clearance that prevents them from performing a tow. They told me I was on my own. So I brought the battery to their care center for testing and they again told me that they are unable to test it, because they require it to be in a car for diagnostics. Its clear AAA will go to absolutely any length to avoid honoring their warrantee on a $150 battery. May as well light your money on fire than dealing with this company.

I find almost everyone there to be friendly, courteous and hard-working so do not want to disparage any individuals with this review. Unfortunately, both my car and my spouses car have come back from AAA South Square with something new wrong on a couple occasions -- a sound or problem that did not exist prior to BASIC services like oil changes and inspections. My spouse had already written off this location. This time, my car was basically shaking the entire ride home after a tire rotation (was told that it would cost extra to come back for a balance, assuming the lug nuts were not loose which would require a tow!). Something is not quite right with quality control and I need to move on after several years with this location. To other consumers, be sure to ask follow-up questions about test drives to check work and confirm service warranties; also do a loop nearby to conduct your own test drive.

Chris!! He is the man!! Ask for him! I was at target this morning and my car door would not open, at first, I was sure I had a problem, I saw Chris in your parking lot, he had a handful of keys and instead of making me wait, he headed over with me and noticed my key was sticking in my door. I asked if you cut keys to which he replied no, but what he DID do were two things, he noticed my back door was unlocked helping me get into the car and he also called a local locksmith and helped me with directions, he gave me his number just in case I had more questions! After arriving at Don Hills lock and key, they determined my key was worn which was affecting the tumbler setting, almost exactly to the letter of what Chris told me! This is why AAA will always be my #1 choice from now on!

I went to the AAA center next to Target to inquire about a stronger battery! I spoke to Chris in the front. I explained that I have changed three batteries recently on my truck, my son is a DJ and we have outfitted our vehicle with lots of lightning which drains a normal battery. Chris was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and took the time to explain that a lead acid battery would only be able to handle that load in a 2-4 battery configuration which takes up space and can be expensive. He recommended an optima yellow top battery since it is a gel cell battery! I immediately went for the purchase at advance Auto parts. I noticed a difference immediately! My lights are brighter AND, Saturday night we left the truck on accessory mode for well over three hours with the music on and afterwards my truck started without skipping a beat! I will be back to talk to Chris! Thank you for employing such a proactive, smart individual! This is why I trust AAA! These experiences cant be topped!

I would honestly give this place 0 stars. If there was a negative star option, that would be best. I love AAA, just not this location. I had an appointment scheduled and arrived 10 minutes early. The attendant was instantly being difficult, saying that it was going to take them too long to change my headlight and asked if I actually needed the other services I came in for since it was a “holiday weekend” and they were “behind schedule”. I went to Target next door and 40 minutes later, I still see my car out front. I receive a call 10 minutes later saying that both of my headlights were out and it was going to cost $150 to replace them (I brought my own bulb in by the way). I know I only had one out when I dropped it off. I told them that I would rather just get my car and go some where else. After getting my keys, I went to the parking lot to check the status of the other bulb. To my surprise, it was indeed out! But guess what, I opened the hood and they had slightly unplugged it. I plugged it back in and it worked perfectly fine. They are scammers and will be difficult, even when you have an hour long appointment scheduled. Go to another location because they will waste your time and money.

Noon appointment for an oil change and they say give them an hour to an hour and a half. ???!!! But I DID, allowing for the fact they were busy. (But I had an appointment,) TWO hours later I checked on the status. We’re pulling it in now!!! No thank you. First time customer won’t be back. That’s even coloring my decision on whether to renew my AAA membership to be treated so casually. I got an apology. Certainly better than no apology. But it does nothing for the 3 hours I devoted to getting nothing done. There was some interoffice political concern the guys were griping about. It obviously was higher on today’s list of priorities than providing excellent customer service and presenting a professional air.

7/11/20. Awful customer service experience. Agent was dismissive when I asked about coupons and didn’t go the extra mile to help me figure out my pricing for a basic oil change. I ended up having to call my usual AAA place and they helped me. He acted like he was doing me a favor when I was a paying customer. Won’t visit this AAA again. I usually go to the AAA off 55 and their customer service has never failed.

I must say, I really hate to do this but it is a must. I love AAA. They really are good, BUT, this location has lost its integrity over the last few months. My wife and I came to this location on Monday for a map. I walked over to the car care side to a gentleman staring down at a phone. Once I got his attention I was told give us just a moment bud, one of us will be right with you. Us? There was no us, only him, who continued to look down at his phone, older guy, white hair. All I had was a question about a whining noise in my front end. Then, a few minutes later, a younger guy with glasses walked up and asked had I been helped to which I replied no. He immediately stopped what he was doing and asked how he could assist me, he introduced himself as Chris! I respected that! He even walked out to the car, listened to the noise and recommend having my steering system checked and asked if I would like AAA to assist, I responded no and stated I would take it home. I would up dropping it at the dealer since the first gentleman put a bad taste in my mouth. However, the second friendly gentleman was spot on with his suggestion because it was, in fact my power steering pump which was covered under my warranty. But the point of this review is, why couldnt the first guy have told me that? What was so important on that phone that he failed to do his job and represent AAA. Management needs to re evaluate this store. I wont be back.

Went to this location last week for a scheduled oil change. After 2 1/2 hours they called me since there lobby is closed i was sitting in parking lot waiting. To be told your oil plug is crossed and if we take it out we cannot put it back you will need a oil pan 600 plus.Wait i got my oil changed here last time so you guys did this. Them we can pay a uber to take you home and we can get my guy to look at it. Or you can leave it all day friday.So for a week i thought hard and stressfully about this then i took it to a local shop for a oil change since AAA said they could not take the plug out without putting in a new oil pan.I asked them to tell me if i needed a new plug or oil pan.After 45 minutes mechanic comes back i am worried. I say how is everything. He tells me everything is fine and my car is in front ready.AAA YOUR ONLY GOOD AS YOUR STAFFTELL ME I CANNOT HAVE MY OIL CHANGED.It feels good to have clean oil again

My car broke down while I was driving, thankfully at a traffic light! I have an AAA membership and was towed to this location on a Monday afternoon... they discovered and replace my alternator as well as a belt in my car. I got it back on Wednesday! The turnaround time was absolutely remarkable, the service was great- they even had a shuttle come pick me up so I could drive my car back home. A huge thank you to this team. They are fast and great at what they do!

I recently went in for an oil change and tire rotation. I called ahead and made an appointment for 10:00am on a Saturday. I figured that they would be slammed on a weekend, and they were pretty busy, but the staff in the lobby and at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Once I got up to the front desk, they got me checked in, and Nikki was done with my car in a flash. I was able to watch her work on my car while I waited, which was pretty cool because I had never seen my car worked on before. She was very thorough but fast, explaining everything she did to my car, and making me feel better about a couple of concerns I previously had with it. The professionalism of the staff at AAA South Square was impressive. I feel like I have finally found a trustworthy mechanic. I will definitely be back for another oil change when it is time!

Excellent service. From the time I entered to the time I picked up my car, the AAA at South Square provided excellent service. I came in and dropped off the car and received service immediately. They asked me when I needed the car and had the job completed almost right on the dot. Good experience - particularly with this branch. George and others behind the scenes present themselves as competent professionals. They did a pre-purchase inspection that exceeded expectations. I was able to buy a used Lexus 2008 from a private seller with a degree of confidence that I would not otherwise have. Pre-purchase inspection is the best money spent. The atmosphere at South Square is inviting as well - nice and comfortable waiting area with TVs, vending machines and complimentary drinks. Well done, AAA South Square. Ill be back.

Have had a few visits here with my new (used) van and the reception staff are great, clean comfy place and very well trained staff. they really do seem to care about their customers! I like the fact I can watch autos being worked on and the staff take a lot of care in taking photos of issues, keeping a clean place and driving safely. I was a little disappointed at my last visit a couple days ago as I was forced, and we are were forced in the reception area and on a day they admitted they were running 2 hours behind due to call outs(It happens I understand and I patiently waited), but the rap music that was blaring outside so loud we could all hear every word in the waiting area was horrific full of swearing, degrading women and use of the N word. They will try and scam you harder than an MLM mom, but ya gotta love the prices! I get my oil changes elsewhere and see what services those mechanics recommend following their inspections, then bring my car back to AAA to get the work done for less $$$. I do believe they have free refreshments, too.

Shout out to George, Johnathon, and Terry. This is quite a team. They were very professional. I had front end shocks, and driver side control arm installed. It was a combination problem which was diagnosed and repaired on the same day. Warranty two years and 24000 miles. Terry provided a shuttle service and even picked up my daughter at the elementary school car line. My car now rides like new. This was my first time here. I shall return again. Thanks guys!

Made an 8 AM appointment and dropped my car off the night before requesting that they call with an estimate in the morning. At 10AM I still hadnt heard anything from them so I called only to find out that despite having made an appointment days prior they still hadnt started simply because I wasnt sitting there waiting. Whats the point of an appointment if it wont be honored? Why should I be expected to sit and wait in their office for 3 hours for my car to be fixed?

Ive been a member of AAA for many years so, when my Nissan 350z warranty ended several years ago, I began taking my car to the AAA near us. Its convenient to shops and has a shuttle service. I have appreciated their friendly, professional approach and thorough service. Yesterday was the best yet when I took my car in for an inspection and oil change (had made an appointment a couple of days in advance). Darrell Pierce took my auto information, drove me home, called me about a minor, essential repair that was needed, picked me up at home when my car was ready, gave me a complete explanation (with documentation to keep) of the status of my car for future upkeep - nothing likely needed for 6 months to a year. This is a full service company that I trust and will continue to use.

Appreciate Justin taking care of me at AAA. I had front brakes and rotors replaced in a very timely fashion. I have read the other reviews and realize no business is perfect but I will say that you leave this facility with full knowledge of what is going on with your vehicle as much as they are able to see without taking your vehicle apart. You can fix it or not but at least you have some idea how to budget for your repairs or maintenance of your vehicle. The 2 year warranty should give you peace of mind also, it does me. Thanks guys!!!!

I came here last week because I needed to get a passport photo. I spoke with Elise on the phone who was very courteous and helped me understand that with my AAA membership, passport photos were included. What a great perk! I had gone to CVS the day prior and could not successfully get a passport photo. My experience at AAA was much better. When I entered the building, I noticed how clean the environment was. Elise helped me. She was prompt, professional, and nice. Definitely give these guys a try for their travel services/passport photos.

I brought my car here for its yearly inspection and they noticed that my brake pedal was acting odd when they drove it in. They offered to run a $45 diagnostic test, which we approved. The results of the diagnostic test apparently showed that the car needed a new brake master cylinder and ABS control module. All told, it would cost $2,271 to fix. They were very brusque and didnt take any time to explain to us the implications of these issues, or how they came to the conclusion that they needed replacing. We were unable to afford this kind of repair and I hadnt been experiencing any issues with the brakes, so we left without doing the repairs. Over the next month or so, I needed to add more brake fluid twice because the levels were low. At this point, we took the car to a local shop for a second opinion. They found that the caliper bleeder valve had been loosened and brake fluid had been leaking out, which was why I was needing to add more. They found nothing wrong with the rest of the brake system. This AAA location was negligent at best (the leaking brake fluid from the valve they left loosened corroded my wheel), and dishonest at worst. They have also found problems with my husbands car that cost us thousands and which we later learned were unnecessary repairs. I would not recommend taking your car here unless youre knowledgeable enough to avoid being taken advantage of and can double check that they didnt leave your car worse than when you took it in.
