As a young female with minimal car expertise, I am always on guard at car dealerships/shops. Walt and his son made shopping for a new used vehicle easy, stress-free, and personal! I love my new vehicle- needed reliability and more space, and that is exactly what I got! Walt gave me ample time to test drive the vehicle and take it to a local mechanic to check over. There was an issue with the AC compressor and they followed up on their promise to put in a new one, and were quick and flexible about getting this done after I purchased it! The owner and staff were extremely helpful and personable. I was made to feel like family and that I was being taken very good care of. I am not usually one to write reviews but I felt compelled to do so. I was also able to purchase a very good extended warranty at a reasonable price. I was in search of Jeep Grand Cherokee when I came across one at their dealership. I called the dealership and spoke with Jeff whom assured me the vehicle was in excellent condition. I arrived at the dealership to view, inspect and test drive the vehicle. Everything seemed to check out well. After leaving the dealership, Jeff persistently called as he seemed eager to sell the vehicle to me. He was aware I really wanted to purchase a Jeep Grand Cherokee but didnt want me to purchase it anywhere else. I purchased the vehicle and it drove well for the first two weeks. After two weeks, the air conditioning seems to stop blowing out cold air. I immediately called Jeff and he told me to bring it in so they could have a look at it. Jeff was able to recharge the air conditioning system. Again the air started getting cold. Not even a week later I started hearing a grinding noise while driving. While my car was sitting, I noticed a substance leaking from the vehicle. I then assumed it was an oil leak and scheduled a routine oil change. I was then informed the vehicle was in need of brake pads and both front axles were busted. I soon attributed the axles to the grinding noise I had been hearing. Once again I immediately called Jeff to let him know. He then referred me to the owner, Walt. Walt stated I could bring the vehicle back in for inspection but all repairs would be at my expense. I went to Napa and purchased two front axles and had them installed but the grinding noise was still present. At this point, Ive spent hundreds of dollars on car repairs. To get to the bottom of the grinding noises, I took the vehicle to the Jeep dealership. Once I heard from Chris at the dealership, he stated the vehicle needed a new transfer case, which is a transmission. After getting the transfer case fixed, I have now spent thousands of dollars. All these car repairs have happened within the first 30 days of purchasing the vehicle. I would strongly advise no one to purchase any vehicle from this dealership. The Good thing that came out of this deal was a Good framed Car! Luckily I’m fortunate to have the funds available to fix the vehicle.P.S. Most of the positive responses are FAKE!! If the responses don’t mention these two gentlemen by Name then it’s Fake!!

I have mixed feelings, as I blame myself for my delema. I have purchased 4 cars over the years from this dealer, with the latest being in just last month. I test drove the vehicle only to have the engine light come on. I came back and informed Walt and he said no problem we will turn it off and if it comes back on bring it in and well take care of it no problem. I took him at his word and 2 days later the light was back, I took it back on Saturday and was told no mechanic was on duty today, so I called back Monday and again was told the mechanic.wasnt in today, and it would be atleast another week before they could look at it .I could smell a runaround so I stopped trying and decided to fix it myself which was over 400.00. Lesson here is dont buy a vehicle without something in writing that they will repair a problem . Again it was my fault for purchasing the vehicle without such a guarantee, other than the word of a seller.I do like the dealership, so I will purchase another but not without written guarantee.

Bought a car from here not to long ago and I love it it runs great, and I got it for a good deal. The service was great they assisted me in finding the perfect car for me and they inspected it and made sure everything was running smooth before everything was finalized. Ive been in the market for a used car for a few months. I finally decided to buy when I saw a lovely Prius for sale at Craiges with a good price. I called, Walt set up a time for me to come in and test drive it. Its been a couple of days and its running great. My purchase experience was great. I especially loved that no one asked where my husband/father/boyfriend was or if he needed to drive it before I bought the car. Walt knew some of my friends and coworkers. I accidentally left something important to me in the car and he went above and beyond to ensure its safe return to me. On top of all that, he took my car that was in shambles and I saw it a week later looking brand new passing me on I-40. Only rated it a 3 due to no one was there to help me. I figured on Saturday they would be open. I walked the lot looking at trucks but I also noted they have a large inventory to be a moms and pops car lot. So I was very impressed they had a rather large inventory. Most of the vehicles looked very nice. As for prices or how they deal with the public I cant really say since nobody was there at 11 in the morning on a Saturday.

Exceptional service! Highly recommend. I did not purchase a car, I went in for repairs and maintenance. They have a great selection of cars and the salesperson told me they get new cars in frequently if I didnt see something that I liked and if I was looking for something specific they could find it or something similar and give me a call. I told him I was just looking and he backed off. They dont pressure you or follow you around. I will be purchasing a car from them in the near future.

I brought a used car from this dealership at the end of Feb. It is not July and my car has broken down. I put 2000.00 down for the car and my payments were 300.00 a month for a 97 Honda Accord. Everyone told me my payments were too high and that I paid way more than Kelly Blue Book value for the car but I was just happy to have my first car. Around the end of June the car started to leak Anti-Freeze and when I had it towed back to the shop I found out the car needed a new engine due to a crack in it. From the time I bought the car, the radio stopped working and they assured me I only had to get a code to reset it. I feel stupid for not having the car inspected before I bought it, and for not taking a man with me and jumping into the situation with the first dealership I went to. This whole experience has been ABSOLUTE HELL AND A HEADACHE. The engine on the car locked and the car is of no value so a trade in is not an option and the dealer has informed me that I would have to put down a deposit to get another car, and agree to new payment terms. Problem is I used majority of my savings as a down payment on this car. Now I can not possibly empty my savings for another car. I still have to pay my other bills and god forbid me or one of my children get sick. I would not have any form of a safety net. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND IF YOU BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP GET A THOROUGH INSPECTION BRING YOUR OWN MECHANIC.

My car was making this loud knocking sound, so I dropped my car off to get looked at last week and they called me the same day and had fixed the knocking sound. Charged a very good price for it and havent heard any knocking sound since I took it to get looked at. I would recommend using Craige Motor Company they actually care about their customers and provide quality service for a good price.

My daughter purchased a car from here and when I arrived I examined the car and noticed that the tire light was on and subsequently stayed on as the engine continues to run. Anyway the owner was supposed to fix it but he didn’t so he offered to refund us our down payment. So we received it back and went on our way. Horrible dealership.

I recently bought a 2010 Toyota Corolla from them, I was referred by a friend who heard this was a good place so I decided to take a look. Walt and all of his staff was so nice and so professional, you can tell they genuinely want to see you walk away happy with your vehicle and I certainly did with a great price and great payments. They will also do maintenance on you car (for a lower price then a shop) if you purchase from them. I have referred them to everyone I know since I bought my car lol. My car was overheating and started smoking one day I thought maybe I blew the motor up or something I had it towed to Craige motor company and they fixed the problem in no time. My husband purchased a 2007 Ford Expedition for $6000 with my retirement money for my daughter. He immediately noticed a knock in the motor once he started up the vehicle and a slip in the transmission. He took back and the next day and was told the truck just needed a oil change and this should fix the problem. He has paid 2 authorized dealers to service the vehicle and they both told him he would need a new motor and torque converter they both said we have been sold a Lemon. My husband made contact with Walt the owner in person and he advised that we have the truck towed to the shop. We paid $286 to have the vehicle towed back Craig Motor Co. Walt called a couple days later advising my husband that he would look for motor however the responsibility to pay for it would be on him. Mr. Walt will be taken to court as you know there is a Lemon Law. He has refused to make it right.. Future buyers please have vehicle checked out before purchasing from this car lot .

Not only did they save me from a total vehicle nightmare (2 blown engines in 4 months in a car I financed from somewhere else almost a year ago) but they put me in a beautiful upgrade, which I never thought was going to happen! I went from a Kia soul to a low mileage landrover that was priced extremely well and loaded with features!And to top it all off, they waited an hour and a half past close for me to get to them, not including the time it took to get through paperwork.They handled everything with my bank and did as much as they could to make the process as easy for me as possible. These guys used my car for 374 miles in a week when it was supposed to be parked for sale! Seems like most reviews are fake here! Never to be trusted!

Highlights if your budget is tight: The owner (Walt) allows installment payments.Highlights if you own a Volvo: The technician (Roscoe) knows a ton about Volvos -hes a certified Volvo tech and drives them himself.My Volvo 850 (97 turbo) had a check engine light come on about a month ago, along with the automatic transmission warning light, and felt like it was slipping out of gear momentarily here and there, but still drivable. The most urgent issue though was a radiator leak that seemed to be getting worse and worse. Also was worried about blueish-gray smoke from the exhaust once in a while.I took it to the shop I bought it from (who specialize in Volvos), and with all these issues they reccomended I not put any more money into it, except maybe just to nurse it along to get back and forth to work, but that I should just plan on letting it go.I happened to run into Roscoe a week later though and he told me to bring it. When I brought it in he ran a diagnostic test FOR FREE even though they were busy at the time. He found out what was causing my engine/transmission warning lights. Also replaced my radiator cheaper than estimated at my previous shop. Also, DID NOT CHARGE me for an alignment because their alignment place had a scheduling mishap and mine wasnt done on time. Also, found a broken tie rod and replaced that too.Great service. Friendly folks. Another place making Durham great.

I Love this place. Walt is a man of his word. Im currently on my 2nd car from this place and my first car is still running. I look forward to getting my 16 yr old a car for her 16th birthday. Thank God for walt and his staff they are truly angels
