Really, really great selection. We have been to many consignment stores in the region over the past couple of months. This store has a fantastic selection. Everything is high quality. The staff is very friendly. We will be back, for sure.

I have furnished much of my home with furniture from the store. I run an upscale fashion business inside my residential home and my furniture looks like 1 million bucks although the prices from always home are actually incredibly affordable! The store is only a few blocks from where I live and I like to swing by every now and then and I always find exquisitely unique pieces that become timeless treasures for me. Angela and Greg are incredibly helpful. One of my favorite stores.

Beautiful furniture, prices reasonable for such high end resale on consignment. Store clerks very friendly and open for phone calls, thinking it over, etc.

Great selection, but the owners have never worn masks at any point in the pandemic. One of them occasionally wears a face shield (obviously useless), but the other walks around maskless and has done so since last July. I’ve checked back here a few times over the course of the year hoping they’ve decided to actually be decent people and mask up, since their selection is great and I like to support local businesses, but they literally never once have. I will not be shopping here again, which is very disappointing.

Always Home is my favorite place to shop for high quality furniture and unique accessories. I’ve found fantastic deals as well as beautiful furniture. Angela, Greg and their team are always friendly and helpful, making every visit a pleasure.

Upscale consignment shopping with reasonable price points!I have personally shopped at Always Home for several years and I love walking into the store and always seeing something different from the last time I was there. The displays are carefully placed and gives you the feel of how that certain piece could work in your home.The staff is wonderful! They are eager to greet you and see if you are looking for anything in particular. Make sure to let them know what you are looking for because if you do not see it they might have it coming in that week or the next!Be sure to go out a support this small business. They are one of Durham’s best!

I visited this store for the first time this past weekend. I will not be going back. I called the store prior to heading out to confirm they require masks. I was told they are requiring masks and as soon as I arrived one of the employees (Im assuming it was the owner from what I could tell) was not wearing a mask. He proceeded to walk all around the store without a mask and acted as if everything was normal. During these covid times I limit where I go and I very often call ahead to make sure what their policy is regarding masks. It was a long drive for me, over an hour round trip and if they had told me they didnt require masks I would not have made the trip.

Absolutely love this store and the owner, Angela! We have practically furnished our entire home from items found.....everything is high end quality and very reasonably priced. Always treated like family there.

Awful experience at this store. The people who work here (manage/own?) are extremely disrespectful, rude, and unpleasant. I will not be returning and would not recommend.

I have enjoyed browsing and shopping in the store in the past. Recently I attempted to consign a few pieces of high-end vintage furniture. I emailed photos and followed up with phone calls and received no response. If Angela isnt interested in my items, it doesnt take much to respond to an email or phone call. No worries, a competitor happily took the items and 3 out of 5 of pieces are already sold.

The manager inside the store did not wear a mask and when I pointed that out his reply was that he got vaccinated and anyway masks dont work, and people who dont like him not wearing one do not have to shop there.

Reviews indicate that from a buying perspective “Always Home” has a good reputation. However, the consignment part of the business is dreadful. I contacted Angela Mann via email with photos of a sofa. She responded quickly and stated she was very interested and would have to visit me to view it before having it picked up and asked me to call her the next day to arrange this. I contacted her and left a voicemail.A week later, I received an email from her stating she never got my voicemail but that she was still interested and thought she could get the process done by the end of the week and she would call me the next day. Never heard from her again.Upscale consigning is a competitive business and she’s not the only show in town. Don’t waste your time with this one.

Quality just like new merchandise, excellant selection furniture, lamps, artwork and glassware at fair prices. Always Home is my go to and helps me keep my home decor updated. The inventory changes quickly so if I dont find what Im looking for today it will show up before long. Good deal for both seller and buyer. Pleasant environment to browse and a pleasure to do business with. Highly recommend.

Exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful owner/staff. Great selection of gently used furniture and accessories - and fair prices. We bought an oriental rug and will be going back to buy more items and to consign.

I went here with my gf looking to get some ideas for a kitchen table for my house. They have a huge selection of really neat home items. Some stuff was really expensive, but a lot of it was pretty reasonable. They did have some really high quality items, too.

DOES NOT RESPECT OTHERS TIME. Angela met me at my mothers house about 5 weeks ago to look at some funiture as mom has moved into a retirement community. I told her my mother smoked in the house but stopped over a year ago. She said she would take dining room furniture and a few other items. I agreed at that time if the furniture smelled bad after taking it to her store, I would take it back. There is little to no smoke smell after a year. The house is sold and closing in a few weeks. After stringing me on for 5 weeks, Angela calls me yesterday and tells me she is not going to pick up the items. Total lack of respect of others time. If she had just told me 5 weeks ago she did not want the furniture it would have been fine. I would never trust anything she says.

Great place to find treasures - but you need to stop in frequently as the inventory moves in and out quickly!
