Best mechanic in N. Atlanta! I drive 45min just for Peter!

Good work. Specializes in older Land Cruisers, but does a fantastic job on my Gen 3 4Runner. Always a fair price. No BS. Nothing mysteriously broken 2 days after its been worked on. No random up charges. No going in for a belt and them magically finding 8 other problems. Honest work..

I would recommend Merriam Automotive to anyone, and particularly to anyone looking for a great spot for their Land Cruiser. Peter was very patient with questions and willing to explain thoroughly. He had things fixed up in a timely manner and was VERY reasonable on pricing... kind guy that I will be returning to without question.

WOW! It has always been a challenge to find someone to correctly repair my 97 Toyota Land Cruiser. The first thing I noted while speaking with Peter Merriam is that he believes in educating his clients, which is always a sign of a true expert. He located a part in 24 hours (which a prior shop couldnt find), and did the repair in about an hour! Nothing like the peace of mind you get from having your auto in the hands of complete competence. I highly recommend Peters shop!

We didnt use Peters services (we needed something different), but he pointed us in the right direction. Really appreciate that he returned my call and was so friendly and helpful. Hope to use him in the future.

I am giving Merriam Automotive one star. I will be contacting Better Business Bereau. My attorney may also be in touch.I spent A LOT of money at Merriam Automotive. I was given a quote and price almost double when I picked up my vehicle. I was NEVER contacted and told the amount would be higher.Merriam Automotive did NOT fix my vehicle. I have put very few miles on it since picking it up. For the amount paid, my vehicle should be fixed. I would highly NOT recommend Merriam Automotive to anyone.I can provide my receipt and more information if anyone is considering Merriam Automotive.

Ive never met a more honest mechanic. He actually turned away business when I went to get my brakes checked out and said I didnt need to change them now and to come back in 6 months. Who does that nowadays! Great service at a very affordable price too!

Peter is honest, fair and even still goes beyond. He is apart of a dying breed of good mechanics that still will turn away work if it is better for the car owner. On one visit, he informed me that he could do the work on my Ford, but it would delay the inevitable failure of my car by only a few months this not worth the massive investment. Since he has been my chosen mechanic for years!

True, there is definitely some family bias here, but that doesnt mean that my dad isnt the best at what he does. You will never have a more honest, hardworking mechanic repair your car for such decent prices.Oh and also...to anyone who would say otherwise and threaten to call Better Business Bureau for bad business practices, I say go ahead! I recently went there to fix a problem with what I thought was my CV joint. It turns out I had to get my brakes and rotors replaced. This is something that should have probably been obvious to a different guy who did my alignment a few months prior. He did a good job with the brakes and told me I didnt need a CV joint at this time.Honest man. Good work.
