Delicious every time! Best quality and friendly team. Feels like home away from home 🏡
Beautiful place, employees were incredibly kind, everything was very clean. The coffee was less than mediocre and my oatmeal they served me was lukewarm. I had a plain latte and the maple pecan oatmeal. Maybe their signature and fun drinks do a better job at hiding the taste of their espresso.
We were excited to try a new coffee shop in this fun mew area of Dublin and went based off the good ratings but not sure how they got 5 stars. We got 2 sandwiches that you heat up yourself I’m a microwave everyone shares that was fine but the sandwiches were inedible both of them tasted like something that had been sitting in a gas station for days then the coffee wasn’t great I ended up asking for a cup with more cream and the lady at the counter was rude and didn’t give it to me without charging me for it when all I wanted was more cream because they didn’t have any sitting out. The biscotti wasn’t bad but seriously would not recommend at all.
Ive lived in 2 countries and 5 states and have been a coffee addict for many many years through these moves and Sweetwaters is by far the most genuine and authentic coffee experience from the breadth of coffee choices and quality of the products to the staff working. You always feel like the most important person in the world and always have the best coffee in the world!!
Amazing all around! My cold brew was delicious and the staff was very sweet too. I think this is going to be my new little fav. spot for a bit!
Walked onto the patio during the Dublin Irish festival to get a better view. Was approached by the owner “Alice” and told if we wanna stand here we need to make a purchase (Completely understandable). Went in to get a lemonade and 3 bottles of water for our group of 4 on this 90 degree day. “Alice” quickly informed us that bottled water wasn’t enough. If I purchase anything off the menu I’m a paying customer and therefore should be able to use the patio. Not to mention the rudeness we were approached with. This is so wrong and I will never be back to this establishment. Water, coffee, tea, lemonade it doesn’t matter what we get we are customers. Sad that “Alice” the owner would try to swindle more money out of someone just to stand on the patio for a few minutes.
I’m pretty picky when it comes to coffee/espresso and I really enjoyed Sweetwaters. The hot latte with their premium espresso was perfect - plenty of espresso flavor still came through and it wasn’t burnt tasting like so many other coffee shops! The almond biscotti are a great add on for a quick bite. They’re not hard like most biscotti so no need to dunk em in your coffee! But you totally still can since it’s a great combo.
This is one of my favorite places to go every Saturday to get a morning coffee. Not only because of how yummy it is every time but because this place has some of the most friendly staff. I fully recommend going here. I’ve always had a great experience and I bet you will too.
I used to like their Dragon Eye and French Vietnamese AU Lait. The last few times they never get it right and most often it’s not hot enough. I usually get them with a double shot and extra hot but they never follow instructions. I’m starting to dislike this chain, If it turns out to become another fancy looking coffee shop with low quality coffee drinks.
Alice, the owner, was extremely rude and disrespectful to a loyal customer and neighbor. It’s unfortunate that they have lost our business and many others because of the lack of respect for their very own patrons. Rebol, across the street, is a great spot with a more friendly staff, higher quality ingredients and food! Very unfortunate.
Very recommended coffee. It is good place to start your walk toward the beautiful Dublin bridge.Looking for more creative recipes :)
Nice local coffeshop in the middle of a newer mixed-use area. The coffee we had was very good. Place is clean and modern looking with indoor and outdoor seating. Good selection of pastries and some healthier bites to eat.
Excellent customer service!Ambience is quite good with plenty of tables and outlets indoors and outdoors.I tried spiced apple caramel drink, it was way too sweet rather than being on the stronger and spiced version. Two other friends of mine were not satisfied with their ginger tea’s, way too sweet. We should probably customize them next time here.Iced drinks were pretty good!
A nice break from the traditional Starbucks. This adds a nice local touch for the coffee drinkers in Dublin. The cold brew is extremely delicious with several different options. The house coffee is just great coffee. And the staff is so welcoming and helpful. Each time they’ve asked if we’ve been in before and they’ve had wonderful suggestions. Definitely my wife’s go to for coffee in the summer.
Worst customer service! As a loyal customer who comes in every weekend for their pastries and to hold my weekly team zoom meetings as well as meets first dates there for coffee and friendly conversation, I cannot believe the way that I was treated. I was late to a team meeting therefore couldnt order before starting my meetings. The owner approached me and asked if I ordered. I explained to him that I was on a meeting, ran late, and couldnt order anything right away but would order after. He approached a second time as I was on a meeting and ORDERED ME that I had to order. I explained to him I was still in a meeting and would order after I was done. He went on to tell me that I was taking up space and not paying without considering that there were free tables throughout the entire shop and my presence was not a challenge to anyone. Honestly, will never go back to support their business knowing that they only value a human existence if it provides financial gain to them. I order every week from them, shared my love for their pastries with friends from them, just couldnt get in line before the team meeting and wasnt taking up any extra space as there were free tables throughout the business. He humiliated me in front of my team twice, talked to me as if I wasnt a human, and scolded me when I gave my word after being a loyal client for many weekends. Whether I order before the meeting or after the meeting, I wouldve paid for my 2 hours there at some point. To the owner, a humans existence is not only valuable purely for your financial benefit and you lost customers with the way you treated me this day.EDIT- 1. I understand that someone will get in cameras to review my interactions and state how incorrect or wrong I am. That is most unprofessional. 2. I understand someone will review my transaction history to make sure I’ve been a paying customer before, please do as I’ve always paid when occupying your establishment. 3. I understand that this franchise will take ZERO responsibility for their actions and that sucks. 4. Most likely they’ll say, “she moved outside so we couldn’t find her.” So before this accusation comes out, as I stated, I was on team meetings and please watch the cameras as I covered my ears many times to hear. Do you think this was the most pleasant environment to take a team call? The answer is no. I was there for my weekly pastry not to use their wifi, as stated. And did I move outside to hear better, yes. Did I have to stay and buy, no? But did I choose to stay so I could buy, yes? Did I have to finish my meetings first that I was actively leading so I could buy, yes? 5. And just to let everyone know even more so, the owner stuck his finger in my face.
Good coffee and smiling staff. I am new ro Dublin but felt welcome here
First time visiting after driving by them multiple times before. I was impressed by their menu and the many options of drinks available. Couldnt really decide if I wanted a coffee or tea but I did know that I wanted something with milk in it. The staff behind the counter was friendly and recommended the Real Tea Latte, which consists of hot freshly brewed tea plus steamed milk thats typical of a latte. I dont think Ive had anything like it before so I decided to try it. I chose the Emerald Matcha Blend and it was heavenly! They only put a very, very tiny amount of sugar (you can do without it at all too) so you can still smell and taste the aromatic tea. The steamed milk wasnt overpowering as well. Atmosphere is great too - shop has plenty of seating and lots of sunshine.
I had the lemon ginger tea (hot) and I would say it was litt. Awesome experience
Awesome little coffee and tea shop with snacks, too! Friendly staff 💜
A friend and I went in for coffee. Really friendly staff, clean restaurant, and a quick walk away from the parking garage. Definitely recommend.
Had delightful yogurt parfait and sat outside at their socially distanced tables. I felt very safe and i enjoyed my parfait while my sister enjoyed some herbal tea.
It is a OK place. Its little expensive but clean and neat. Servers are nice but service is off the bar. I expect server warm food when customer requested for it, not just pointing microwaves location for custimers self service. Otherwise whats tips for? You do have those tips option for customers. So earn it.
I like the Ambience of this place. It is something unique of its own in Dublin.Good for small meetings. The outside view is awesome too. You can sit anywhere and get view of Bridgepark Avenue. To be honest I haven’t tried all the different coffees here so I can’t really comment on it.I tried Vanilla Cappuccino. It was good.Easy to find parking. Open parking garage nearby.
The worst coffee place Ive ever been. Dirty tables, bad customer service and terrible workers....
Cool coffee place with chill vibe. Good place to hang out.
Pumpkin pop-tarts are amazing.
Cute place. First time there but the Chai was a bit too strong!
Excellent service here! There was a miscommunication and I received the wrong drink. When I told them, they were so kind and quickly made the right one, apologizing several times. The miscommunication was just due to masks and plexiglass...not because of any fault of theirs. They were wonderful and the coffee was great!
1st time in Ohio, this place was amazing. Must make sure you grab a cup from here!
Been here 3 times. Every time it is water down coffee with no flavor. Personally not a fan.
The Barista with the blue hair tint was really rude. First, she didn’t even say hello when me and my son walked in but immediately gave us a dirty look because I had my mask slightly below my nose. Then, she told me to pull it up all the way not politely but very rudely. I asked for a Carmel Vanilla Latte and a latte.I didn’t get the Carmel vanilla, but I got something totally different instead . I waited patiently in the back for my coffee watching others who had walked in and got their coffee . Almost 20 minutes later she sets two coffees at the end of the counter with someone else’s name on it. Totally different from mine. Wrong name and wrong order. The coffees sat on the counter for at least 5 minutes more minutes. Not one person asked if I was waiting for my order. So after another 5 minutes I asked where my order was. The guy said that these must be mine. Almost willing to believe this was done on purpose for whatever reason. We were almost late for our game. Bad service! Rude workers! Couldn’t get the orders right. Passing through Dublin for a soccer tournament. Will not come here again.
Higher quality coffee at a slightly above average rate. You get to choose which flavor of drink you want or add items to it. The lattes are wonderful and not too heavy. The cookies are sweet and sugary but not over powering. The space feels small and cramped but if you need to get some work done there are outlets available. Overall, good experience. Would come again
I want share my experience at the Sweetwaters coffee and tea in Dublin this morning. I have always found the staff to be extremely friendly and they provide excellent service. This morning one of the staff requested a customer to please put her mask on in the store while standing in line waiting to order. She asked very nicely and was smiling and friendly. The customer left the store and wrote a negative review about the experience due to the mask issue. We are all living in this crazy world and our restaurant owners and staff are following the orders out in place by our governor and/or the orders that the owners put in place to enforce safety. Let’s all be respectful and friendly to each other. 💜
Ive been to this cafe a few times before, but this last experience deters me from coming back. (I would also like to preface this by saying that I always purchase an item from any cafe that I study at out respect for the cafe/business.) A friend and I had purchased a drink from down the street at Starbucks, but we decided to move to Sweetwaters to enjoy the seating area and to buy some pastries also. We had just put our stuff down at the table (I hadnt even sat down at this point) but a manager came up and told us that we would need to get rid of our drinks if we wanted to stay. I would understand if we were staying on their property without purchasing anything from the cafe, but we informed the gentleman we were intending on purchasing bakery items and that we just wanted to secure a table to study at. Then I physically stood in line. However, he still insisted that we remove our drinks if we wanted to stay regardless of purchasing items from the cafe. We couldnt justify throwing away perfectly good drinks, so we informed him that we were leaving. He would not leave us alone, watched us as we packed up our belongings, and the entire time just kept saying he cant have other products on his tables at all. To each his own, but I just wish he would have left us alone even when we told him we were leaving... I have not had any problem with customer service in prior instances from any of their other staff. All other staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming in ALL other encounters, so I was just very taken aback by this incredibly uncomfortable experience. I never had an issue previously bringing drinks and purchasing a Sweetwaters item along with it previously.
Great coffee shop with strong coffee and even some frappe type drinks. Great to grab a coffee and walk the bridge park area.
Lots of selections for coffee drinks or otherwise! Great baked goods as well!
Great coffee, the dreamy cold brew is spectacular. However, the wifi is absolute garbage which makes it difficult to be productive. Would only recommend if you intend on hanging out and chatting.EDIT 1: Reply from owner claims I did not go to the location. Attached a screenshot of receipt from location with the date. Changing rating from 3 star to 2 star due to the unprofessional reply. Other comment: I do not have evidence for slow wifi however my colleague and I both suffered poor wifi outdoors in the seating area right in front of the store (not the side area in front of rebol). However, the next time I visit I can just screenshot a speediest with Ookla. The owner should consider customers reviews as an opportunity to strengthen the experience offered to customers, rather than blame the customer for their laptop settings or argue that the customer did not even attend the shop.EDIT 2: Attached a speed test from Ookla. 0.61 Mbps download speeds. You can go to the location and run the test to confirm the IP address. This and the previous screenshot in Edit 1 invalidate the owners claims in the reply to the original review.
Open and doing business. First time here, liked the menu, a variety of drinks to choose from. I had the vanilla shake and my son had the strawberry bliss, both were very good. Would recommend 👍
Cashier who served me was cheerful and friendly, and the drinks were excellent. Would definitely recommend.
Nice place, friendly servers and nice location. The drink was yum.
I’ve had nothing but great experiences every time I come to Sweetwaters! First of all, their drinks are absolutely amazing and they offer an excellent range of crafted beverages that you cannot find at other coffee shops. Their pastries are also to die for and come fresh from many local vendors. The quality that sticks out to me the most is their customer service. The owners are very passionate about their coffee shop and expect nothing less than the best service for their customers. You can see this in the warm, genuine way that they greet you when you walk in the shop. Sweetwaters is an amazing local, small business that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious drink/treat in a welcoming environment!
Felt like an airport cafe in France. Everything was great though.
Good coffee, and good environment for private meetings
This is a lovable little coffee/tea shop where I often go to get work done. I love how extensive their menu is, particularity with all of the tea options that you can have in normal or latte form. They also serve items from Tupelo Doughnuts and a local bagel shop in the mornings. Apart from those, they have their own pastries, including their ever-changing pop tarts which are pretty good from my experience. WiFi works really well and they have outdoor seating for the nicer days. There always seems to be a lively environment when I come here, so whether working, grabbing a good beverage, or socializing, Id recommend paying Sweetwaters a visit!
The hours need to be updated online, they close on Saturdays at 6 now.
Delicious handcrafted drinks, excellent staff, and a lovely place to sit and chat with friends.
For my first visit it was very good. A bit of a drive for me, but if your near the area, you should give them a try. When near the area again, I will visit them for sure!
Today is my first time here. Nice place, nice people, and clean place. Will visit again!
Friendly service and delicious iced coffee
The coffee here is okay but it matches it with an amazing price compared to other places. The customer service is absolutely the best I have ever received. The manager Lauren is very helpful and kind. If the drinks could be brought up to 🦊 in the snow level this would be the best coffee shop in Ohio. I came to visit here again and the prices went way up. The staff was not helpful at all this last time around. Third time I came here and the staff was friendly and helpful. The coffee has also seemed to improve since the last time I was in. I guess its a hit or miss depending on who is behind the counter.
My husband and I used to frequent the Bridge Park location. I have visited the one in the library once. Both locations hot beverages would separate FAST. If your drink cools in the slightest, it is a noticeable difference in texture and taste. It tastes cheap. I recommend giving other coffee houses a look that provide more bang for the buck.If youre going to pay for $5 coffee let alone pay for coffee away from home, one would hope it would have some quality to it.
Visited this coffee shop to meet up with a friend. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte, which was pretty good. The barista was friendly and there was adequate space between tables.
Love this place!! Everyone is very friendly and makes wonderful drinks. Prices are spot on and coffee tasty as heck. Join the rewards program and youll even earn free drinks every now and then. Also, great patio!
Quality espresso, clean environment, friendly staff (even when they are getting crushed and are short staffed), plenty of seating.
Great place to visit for a beverage.
From the second I walked in the door I was greeted by someone so rude. It took over 10 minutes to get a simple shot of espresso. I ordered a pastry and it was the absolute worst thing Ive ever tasted. It was bland and hard as a rock. I walked next door and was greeted with smiles, kindness and respect as a customer. Sweet water will never get my business again.
This place was good! I tried their chai latte which I liked. They have COVID friendly indoor dining. I saw someone eating a brownie and it looked amazing!
Amazing coffee, amazing food, and amazing service. This was my first time coming here and it was a very good first experience. The atmosphere is great and I look forward to going back again !
Absolutely terrible experience; friend and I grabbed a drink from starbucks and walked over to sweetwaters to grab bakery treats. We were in line to purchase snacks, and the manager of the store came out and told us to throw away our drinks in a very rude tone. We told him we were purchasing something from Sweetwaters but he lashed back - saying, I cant have my competitors out on the table. The tone, presentation, and facial expression of the man was absolutely not acceptable and very inappropriate to be treating his customers in that manner. While I understand that he didnt want the other brands near the store, it was still no excuse for his inappropriate manners. If he truly wants to compete with Starbucks, better customer service is needed (also use actual matcha powder as base for matcha drinks instead of run-down matcha milk as the base please).
Coffee wasnt burnt. Wifi was very stable great place to work. Lots of plugs. beautiful people everywhere
Coffee is good but team needs more training. One is short tempered and speaks combatively and the other one is not smart, so relies on her colleague. More training on special situations would bring the best from both.
This place was nice last year and a great place to sit down and meet people. However, since the pandemic the staff have become rude and aggressive especially if you dont have a mask (not all staff, some are genuine kind individuals). My wife and I attempted to sit down outside during the Bridge Park Farmers Market and were chased off as we didnt buy anything that visit. It was not a polite oh sorry these are for patrons only it was a buy or get lost attitude. Very unprofessional behavior which has lost another customer.I hope the best for their good employees and for now, will walk the extra five minutes across the bridge to StarBucks.
Caramel latte was good, had a raspberry bar that was not quite as good as previous visits. It was just not really fresh. They were really good the last time though.
I love this place! I often stop by to grab a coffee/work and meet with my clients. The staff is always wonderful and the food/drinks are exceptional!
Horrible Customer Service. Staff member yelled “Hey!can you put your mask over your nose.” I was conducting a personal conversation on my phone. Not to mention she yelled from across the room.
Fast and good service! The staff is friendly and kind! The coffees are delicious and good quality! I don’t go to Starbucks anymore because in my opinion they are much better than Starbucks. I just wish they filled my iced coffee all the way :))
Excellent experience. First off, the French Vietnamese coffee was unique and delicious! The atmosphere is clean, open, bright, and comfortable. Despite being moderately busy the entire time I was there (3 hours), it was neither too crowded or too noisy. The quiche and bagel were both good! (And I appreciate the vegetarian friendly options!) Lastly, the staff were friendly and efficient. Great place for a quick bite, coffee with friends, or to get some work done while enjoying a meal.
I came here for the first time last week. I like sweet and creamy drinks so when I saw the menu online, I definitely saw some things that I would probably like. I ordered the dragon eye since the girl at the counter said it was very sweet. The drink was alright though, definitely not as sweet as I thought. If I go back I’ll definitely not order the dragon eye again but will try some other drink and see if I would like that.
First time visiting. Friendly staff, clean working environment. It was a cold, drizzly morning and opted for a hot chocolate which was very good. In this time of the Covid pandemic, its difficult to experience a place but, I will return next time I visit Dublin.
Love this place!! The coffee and pastries here are amazing and they have cool patio seating.
Great coffee, and staff!
Customer service was terrible.
Terrible coffee, small tables and a terrible manager whos not suited for the hospitality business and is more interested in arguing. Basically, they are never at fault and there are no lessons to learn for them. Dont believe me? take your pick at any of the unfavorable reviews here and see for yourself. All of that aside, there is honestly nothing special here at this cafe. Coffee is bland, food is chunky/stale and desert is on par with a grocery store.
Thank god this place exists because other than here Ive found it impossible to get a good cup of coffee in the area
After being grumpy and tired finding my way around Columbus my boyfriend and I decided to get coffee before heading back because we both had caffeine withdrawal. We found this place online and decided this will be better than a Starbucks because we are trying to get the feel of Columbus. Dublin has grown a lot since visiting 2 years ago and Sweetwaters is located in some very new apartment/condo buildings surrounded by new breweries and restaurants. It is very clean, bright, and sleek. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly woman. Who asked if we had ever been here and when I said no she explained to me all their items and gave me a delicious huge sample of their cold brew. It was so yummy! Smooth, refreshing, actually great tasting coffee! Way better than any Starbucks! I went with the dirty cold brew, which is delicious, and my boyfriend got a cocoa cafe, an espresso milkshake basically. Smooth and not too sugary. As someone who drinks a lot of coffee I can absolutely say this place made a wonderful first impression!
This place is great. I walked in and was greeted with friendly hello and smile from both ladies behind the counter. I ordered an iced mocha and it was amazing. One of the best I have ever had. While my drink was being made the barista was super friendly and seemed to want to know about how may day was and if I had any big plans for the day. This was a nice personal touch to service and made me feel welcome to be there. I am excited to return and try some of the other drinks on the menu.
Stopped in for a warm drink this Valentines weekend. Im not a huge coffee person but the smell was nice, not overly burnt smelling. I got a chai and my wife gift a vanilla steamer. Both were absolutely delicious.
Very welcoming staff with excellent customer service. Knowledgeable of flavors, potency and variety of teas and gave two small samples for us to determine which tea we preferred. The pastries looked amazing. Quaint, clean, local coffee / tea shop with great ambiance!
It was a nice place to go in to warm up and they have good coffee.
Good coffee but you have to toast your own bagel which is weird. Also the atmosphere isnt very cozy or coffee-house like. It seems like it would be a good place to work from if you live nearby.
I go here often enough to say they are consistent with having good service and good drinks
I walked in and was treated to a polished, clean aesthetic that felt new, not just renewed. The seating was set up with all different types of gatherings in mind, and was comfortable. It allowed you to stay with your own company or mingle. The staff, both times i went, were extremely cordial and wanted to make my experience the best it could be. One employee struck up conversation with us, making us feel like more than customers. The drinks were made with care and were the perfect balance of sweet and bitter, and went down smoothly. Prices were reasonable for a higher quality product. Definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for a modern coffee shop experience.
This is the third time Ive patronized this place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The coffee is top notch.I wasnt sure what I wanted, and they helped me narrow down what I wanted to what seemed to be the best choice at that time, a Red Eye. That seemed to be as close to Cafe Americano as they had (although I didnt ask for that, so, maybe they have it, and its just not on the menu). The tables were clean and provided plenty of places for laptops and phone chargers. Restrooms were spotless. They even had a microwave to heat up the pastries they have. Will I go back? Yup. Will I recommend? Yup.
Great coffee shop with some great choices! I had a latte and it was delicious. Nice atmosphere with seating and not too noisy.
Makes it hard when your first time patron.
Everything is good here. Exceptional cold brew, smooth with just the right flavor to it, I get mine straight up. Staff are friendly, will make thoughtful suggestions, and very tasty drinks. Seating is nice and varied.
Amazing! The people and the atmosphere is always nice!
