I love this location. Not too big and not too small. This weeks find is the Boom Chicka Pop corn....white chocolate and peppermint drizzled on kettle corn. Two bags for 78 cents!! I bought one bag, opened it up in the car to test, and ended up running back in and bought six more bags. If you like peppermint patties, you will go crazy for this popcorn. Great for work snacks, memorial parties....it is delicious!!

When you are fortunate to find your preferred items at a very low price, plus a helpful staff, you celebrate!Go there often. You never know what goodies youll find.

Man walking in here was just an impulse but I was surprised by the level of savings offered here at this outlet. Its like a hybrid of two or even three types of merchants its pretty sick. And the item selection is top tier quality and bargain priced. Im confident when you shop here you will walk out with a good feeling about what you paid for the items you purchased.

I am regular customer due to the proximity of my home. It is walking distance. First of all store does have a good selection but please do check expiration dates. Staff is very unprofessional and anti social. I tried small talk to be nice and all you get is word or two. They will not bag unless you buy their bags.

I have been shopping at this store for at least 3 years. When the store owners changed, I began to see a decrease in the quality of the staff and how the store was being maintained. Despite these changes, I continued to shop there because I have a commitment to shop at stores in my neighborhood. I purchased a package of organic turkey meat yesterday (9/25/20) and I tried to return it today, and to my dismay, the store leads were not only unprofessional but completely incompetent. Both Hispanic ladies (they claimed to be Brittany and Kimberly but they didnt have name tags on) told me that I could not return the meat without a receipt. Instead of trying to help me, I had to demand to speak to the store owners, Alejandra and Victor Valencia. They told me they could not be reached and I had to come back M-F between 8 and 2. I told them that I am a dedicated and frequent shopper and that I was receiving poor customer service from them. I do not plan to shop at that particular Grocery Outlet again because loyal customers are not important to them. Mr. and Mrs. Valencia, you need to train your staff to have good customer service skills, and you need to make sure they know your names. The two ladies that claimed they were leads had to look at your picture hanging from the ceiling to get your last name. Beware of the meat, it may be spoiled even though the expiration date is still good.

Service was terrible 😑 The staff were so UNPROFESSIONAL 🙄 Very loud &playing around. The manager locked the doors while we were ordering. My husband asked her were we supposed to be inside order? She IGNORED us🤨 I asked the cashier(whom didnt hv a name badge on) Whats yur managers name? She said her name is Thasha. The manager AGGRESSIVELY approaches us & ask us Why do yu want to know my name?! I responded I would like to know! Yu need to tell yur staff to conduct themselves as professionals!!! I was very appalled 😳

Terrible, milk out dated by a week, bread is bad (green already), meat in packages already has the plastic covering ready to burst if you touch it, like the meat is bad and forming gasses inside of packaging. So disappointed!

They had what I wanted and the prices were comparable but one of the women that work there could use an attitude adjustment

Love grocery outlet. I go here and the one in Norwalk. Ive been to others and they carry different items. Like the one in paramount had shelfs but this one doesnt. And this one had pasture raised eggs and the one in Norwalk didnt. Items are not always consistent either. Say theres an ice cream brand thats really good. But it wont be there next time. Or say they had organic walnuts and the next month they wont have any. Its always changing. Produce stays the same from what I noticed. I buy the organic produce and they have great deals youll find something really good for a good price. I always come here first before going to sprouts. The workers are always friendly too and I speak for the others from other cities as well.

Had to drop them down to three stars cause they wont allow me to walk in with my back pack as I use it as my bag since they will no longer let you bring in your own bags. They are also asking for the correct change so I mentioned that they should round up to the nearest dollar and use the change for training. I mentioned it to all of the locations that I shop--they round up in Portland and Washington State since 2015/16--I thought that those states were slow but coming back to Cali, things seem really slow

I have never been in the Downey store so I really cant give you a rating honestly.Ive been to the one in Compton CA.For a Healthy For Recipe class from recommended wear one of my doctors.I found it to be some what descent clean although I really didnt care to much for there meat department.Their prices are pretty decent.Their employees are really nice and helpful.And respectable and willing to lend a helping hand.So hopefully Downey story is the same way.

For my first visit, Im amazed out now much I was able to buy for the total amount spent. I had a full cart full of fruits, vegetables, meat, bread, etc and still managed to add in a few extras like desserts and wine and still save over $100.00!!Definitely coming back for more!

The customer service was immaculate. The produce on the other hand was terrible. Some of the products were expired, I specially saw mushrooms and raspberries with mold and a best date of 4/22 (5/7 is today’s date).
