Very clean nice organized. It has a pharmacy & self checkout. Its basically a grocery store.🍎🍉🥖🍗🥩🥚🧂🍬🍦🍼🍺🧃 They dont sell clothes furniture or electronic stuff. Best time to go is after 9 p.m. be completely empty. For those dont like the crowd thats the time to go.😉✌ Plenty of parking but the lighting is poor. Also if youre buying any type of alcohol you have to take it to the cashiers. Regardless of your age. No self checkout on alcohol.

Inside the store everything is neat and organized. That’s a good thing for you as a customer. You want to find something where it says is located. Outside in the parking lot is the opposite. There’s trash on the ground. There’s no a spot to return carts . At least not in the parking lot. There a space for it outside closed to the entrance.

Every time i come here there is no carts inside and hard to find in the parking lot !!! The store is nice but hard to shop when you have to look in the parking for a cart.

Every time we go to your Wal-Mart Neighborhood they are always out Knudson Cottage Cheese with Pineapple, being on a Diet i have to go to a Big Market like Stater Brothers or Vons. but Iike my Wal-Mart Neighborhood!! so ill go back in a few days to check but if not back to the Markets😟😟

They moved everything around, couldnt find anything. Only one nice cashier and at least two self-checkouts. The wait time is always long.

The walmart neighbor hood MARKET. thats the key word just a market. They do exist. Short lines, great customer service, and its just a market. I really like that place everyone go there.

I have been going to this store over five years and I always use self checkout due to the fact that I enjoy scanning and bagging my food and nonfood items. Today, a young man was standing near the conveyor belt watching me as I was scanning my items. I thought he wanted to check the machine. I asked him if he wanted to go in front of me. He said: “I am watching you. I need to make sure that you scan everything and not take anything.” That was hurtful, since I spend $200 per week at this store. I told him that I wanted to speak to his manager. He went to the customer service department and spoke to a young lady. I spoke to the young lady and complained about the way I was being treated. She told me that the manager was on his way. I recognized the manager and told him what the young man had done. To my surprise Christopher told me that he was supposed to watch me and make sure I scanned everything. I told him that I was being profiled and treated like a criminal when he has seen me shopping at the store for a long time. I told Christopher that I would gladly show them my receipt after scanning my food and nonfood items. Christopher said that his male employee had to still watch me. I told him that I was not going to purchase the items inside the cart and left. I called corporate and will be writing a letter soon. Please do not shop here. No one deserves to be treated like this. My shopping cart was full of food and nonfood items and now I have to go shop somewhere else. I am definitely not coming back here again. Thank you.

The store manager in this store doesnt care about her own employees. She has favorites, she turns on her best workers. The fresh side, especially produce, look like a mess. She should be ashamed of how shes running her store. She needs to learn how to appreciate her workers.

First time to market Walmart and liked it easy to grab and go food

This is a nice food location for the chain. Since they built the SuperWalmart over at the Promenade its not as busy/crowded as it used to be. They are currently remodeling the entire inside, but still open for business during construction. I walked in the other night and there were workers everywhere removing all the items from the shelves and there were hardly any groceries to even buy. I looked at my daughter and wondered if they were closed and we just happened to stroll in with the workers. I had to ask just to be sure, which gave them quite the chuckle. Lol But no, they are open. Looks like its going to be a nice upgrade!

Great store. The parking lot (entrance/exit) are a bit tricky. Recently renovated.

Went there today and had to wait for 10 minutes while the girl at the customer service desk talked to someone that she obviously knew about him getting fired from a job for beating somebody up. When I put my slip up on the counter hoping she could help me while she still just talk to this guy she turned around and with the most attitude she could muster said “sir I’m currently assisting another customer.” Talking to a friend isn’t assisting another customer. If I was in charge of that team I would’ve fired her immediately for her lack of respect towards a customer and any common sense on how to do her job.

The new layout is all over the place. Baby formula is in between the food aisles.

Convenient for quick items you may have forgotten when shopping for weekly groceries or just a quick snack. Sometimes if go too late on the weekends they are all sold out of things. Im not sure what day is stocking day because Ive seen them doing it different days. Also everyone is always so helpful and kind.

The prices on the fruits are excellent, got a lot of it to enjoy 😋

I shop there because it’s close. Then it’s a nightmare to get in and out. Why are therepallets in the isles? Pallets of products just sitting there. Walmart was all about stocking before and after store hours. Now they close 3and half hours early and they can’t stock the shelves?Oh! I forgot about Hov 19. Nevermind good work! You’ve all done very well.

Friendly people nice area to go shopping

This is my GO-TO market. I come here almost every week. I have lived in Downey all my life. Until recently I moved to Pico Rivera. But I still make the drive to Downey for our weekly groceries. I would have rated the market a 5*, but recently they have re-arranged the food in the store. I am so used to knowing the layout of the store by memory so I would write my grocery list in the order that I would do my shopping... I was Soo unhappy when I went in to the market and every thing was totally turned around. Not happy. Took 3-4 times as long to do my shopping. Very frustrating. But that is my ONLY complaint. The workers are as sweet and nice as can be. Very helpful. Polite, considerate. Clean and the store is taking all safety precautions seriously. Love this store❤️😀

Convenient for grocery shopping. Looking for parking and shopping can be overwhelming during peak hours as the location is small. No complaints from me, as I am able to find everything that I want, grocery wise.

Ive lived in downey all my life.. I have been going to the neighborhood walmart .. back when walmart use to be alen party supply.. WAAAY back when.. I moved to a nearby city a couple years ago and most generally we still take the drive to downey to go to the neighborhood walmart to get our shopping done.. love the store. Know the layout like the back of my hand... Doesnt help when they decide to switch things around on you😖 . Lol

Everything is so organized, not to many people on a Sunday at noon. Shelves are stocked in most every isle.

One of the reasons I like this market place because it has a warehouse a movie theater lots of eateries nail salon and has a great great movie theater the parking is really ample and theres also a pharmacy a Pizza hut I mean Im sorry a Dominos Pizza so theres plenty to do here

1 associate 4 people in line at the customer service.Then one computer freezes. 23 minutes later still patiently waiting in line. Back up comes in. 4 minutes later. IF YOURE WAITING IN LINE THE COMPUTERS ARE DOWN. YOU CANT GET MONEY ORDERS.WHAT type of service is this?! Waste of time. Everyone left the line. Drove 14 minutes to get a money order and the machines are down. RIDICULOUS!

Neighborhood Walmart is a really great store its small theres no clothes or theres just food and all your like cleaning supplies its very quick you go in and you check out and people are very polite and its a great store

Their customer service desk is manned by the worst sort of clerk(s)! I was ignored and disrespected all in a span of about 8 minutes. Worst, worst, worst store! And the staff doesnt know how to properly wear face coverings...they dont cover their noses, which defeats the purpose of the facemask! Duh! Where are the people in charge!?
