I went to get some new tires installed on my truck along with an alignment. Waited about 3 hours then got a call telling me they did the alignment, but forgot to look at the 2nd order sheet and hadnt installed my new tires yet. So I had to wait an additional hour and a half for them to finally finish with my truck. They did a good job, but who ever forgot to look at the order sheets needs to be more careful on what theyre doing next time. That is, if there will be a next time, which I most likely doubt!
Not very friendly and up to a point RUDE. The ONLY Friendly employee there who bent over backwards to help was a guy by the name of Carlos! The girls were Rude specially a girl by the name of Susie!

Brought my car to Downie Autocenter for brake replacement, but they didnt do it right the car was with a terrible noise, I return to sears 4 times and the problem continued then took it to Sesrs orange county twice, they couldnt fix it either. After all I had to take my car to my personal mechanic he fixed in an hour. Now my car its perfectly right.I think Mecanics on Sears need more training and management as well .I will never came back to sears Autocenter bad 👎 experience
I came in to get a new battery at 11:15am and my car wasnt ready until 4:20My God...a 5 hour wait!! Over all they got me back on the road and so far everything is going good👍
Sears Auto center Downey CA, Through the years customer service has declined in this case Robert is a perfect example he was rude, argumentative and unprofessional, your employee has the ability bring in satisfied customer back in or push out unsatisfied customers or do everything possible to change or help the unsatisfied customers mind, at the end is your employees choice. I have been to this location twice. I had great experiences with the people working the registers. It the mechanics that I have had problems with.I went there to get a flat checked for a leak. It didnt have any leaks but they left the pressure at 60 PSI!!! The maximum rating is 50 and Regular pressure is 35 psi. Thats just dangerous! Lucky I caught your mistake.The other experience I had is that the mechanics did not want to align my car under the 6 month warranty so they basically shewed me out the door. Bad business. And while checking the alignment they broke a shifter bushing by trying to force the stick shift into gear.The other location that is not permanently closed did not jack up my car properly.Seems like there is a lack of training.Get it together back there.
Reception were rude, judgmental, and very unhelpful towards my father. We walked in with a battery I purchased from this very store less than 2 years ago to buy a newer one and we’re greeted by blank stares and almost insulting questions.
Why did they close down Torrance Sears they had much greater customer service and were more professional. Sears Downey lacks communication, customer service, and do less work than sears auto center in Torrance.

As I came in for a Synthetic Oil change walk in, i was informed my vehicle would be done within 90 minutes. I walked over to Olive Garden for a bite. 40 minutes into lunch I was called to notify me my vehicle was ready. Their service by BOTH ladies was superb. Friendly, courteous, knowledgeable service. I forgot their names, but the one that helped me (specially) was awsome!I highly recommend this Sears Auto Center.Ive been here quite a few times...this being my most recent visit.

I made an appointment to get an oil and alignment. Walked in at the same time as another gentleman and theres two lines one for walk-ins the other for appointments. The gentleman that walked in with me went in the walking line I went into the appointment line. Didnt matter I was still taking last and I had an appointment. Once I was helped they told me it was going to take 2 hours and thats with an appointment. So why make an appointment if its going to be the same amount of time if you just walk in makes no sense.
This place is understaff like no other place. I had an 11:00 am appointment and waited 3 hours for my truck. 👎👎 to much BS here. The girls at the front desk are cool though.

Ive been here a couple times, both for a simple oil change. 1st time they left my oil plug stripped and could not remove it. 2nd issue was my plug was left loose hanging by a thread or two, no wonder i was constantly having to top off my oil in between changes. Bith issues had been pointed out by an employee at Goodyear. Will never do business again with sears

***WARNING TO ALL WHO NEED SERVICE***Please, Im asking of you, if you value the life of your spouse, children, friends, family and yourself, please do NOT take your vehicle here for any type of service! My husband and I had our front breaks done by Sears Auto Center about a year ago and theyve never been done right. Weve had to bring our truck back multiple times because the brakes still chatter and fail to stop at times.Now Im not saying this has occurred every time weve driven the vehicle, but its happened enough to where we were bringing our truck in almost every 2-3 months. When we took it in this last (and it will be the last) time, we were told that they had no record in their system showing it being there except for a time in 2015. This is funny to us, considering that we did not own this particular truck until a year and a half ago (beginning of 2018). The truck that they were showing on record was a diesel truck that we used to own. When I showed them the service papers, obviously stating that it had been there within the last year, they just laughed in my face!They have claimed that there is no way that they could work on our truck because their lifts arent big enough to handle them. They also can not force their employees to put it onto jacks and work okim the floor. If that is the case, then how did the gentleman who worked on the truck while my husband waited until it was complete and fixed (this was 2 months ago in April 2019) do such a thing?The manager literally told me that I either had to drive the truck or tow the truck at my own expense to the Sears in either Torrence or Pasadena since theyre not going to do it. We expressed how we dont feel safe doing that and all he could do, along with the other employees in the building, was laugh in my face and told me to call a tow truck then.Weve now taken our truck to another shop (not Sears) where they did a full inspection of the front brakes and informed us of how they are shot and that it was a HUGE possibility that we couldve been in a major/minor accident if we did not take it to them to fix the issue (obviously since Sears couldnt/wouldnt do it).So obviously, Sears has no care whatsoever about the safety of yourself or others. So please! DO NOT EVER take your vehicle to Sears Auto Center!

Took my battery in, I told them the car was sitting for a month so I wanted them to charge the battery and test it. A couple of hours later I call back and they tell me Im out of warranty and I need a new battery. On suspicion I took the battery to oReilly and they told me the battery just needed a charge. Its back in my car and running again. This makes me feel like this auto center is dishonest. Never bringing my car here again. And this is coming from an ex sears auto employee.

It may take a while to get the service done but the employees are great and the work is solid. There are always coupons online to help with the cost, SYW points rewards help even more. The waiting room has a nice comfy sofa and TV.
Went in for an oil change with an appointment. They told me my car would be ready in anout 2 hours due to how busy it was. My car was done in 30 minutes! The customer service is okay, the staff are good but mot the most friendly. I would go bsck for an oil change for sure.
Did not have 1 battery for my Honda Accord.Went in to shop for a Diehard, 24, for my Accord. They had 6 batteries on thier shelf. What a joke.So, I took my cash elsewhere. I went and picked up a Maxx Everstart from Walmart. 24, 700CCA.And in the background, you can hear the Diehard battery commercial. I asked the guy WTF?He said they are waiting for shipment. You only find out how out of stock they are after you waist your day to stop there.THIS GOOGLE MAPS REVIEWER SAYS DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME, OR MONEY AT THIS AUTO CENTER . Miss my Cerritos location. Customer service here is going down the drain. I would put up with it if the quality of the work was good and the prices were fair. 1 stars only because you still give sears warranty on it. Also unhappy with sales person at counter always digging for that extra costly service even when i just had it done somewhere else. They can really do a number on you here if you dont know any better. The only people that should come here is if you have their credit card. They charge dealership prices for street level work and non OEM parts. I had them change a sensor 2 times until they finally had to bite the bullet and get an OEM part from the dealership. Also they tried to say the reason for their faulty parts was do to my battery going out. And because they did not have one they could go to AUTOZONE to get one to intall that day. The price they quoted me for the battery was also higher then what they had listed on the Autozone website. I laughed and decliened the battery replacement. Two days later they ordered the OEM sensor and got my car working just fine. For good measure i had AAA run a diagnostics on my battery and past with flying colors. Sears if your going to cut customer service, quality of work, and use cheap parts, you should also cut down on price. Bye bye it was a good long run we had.

Worst Customer service experience in this store. I went in the this store to see if there there was any good deals on tires for my truck... I saw a deal on the store where you spend $300 and get $300 cash points back I even took a picture of the sign. So I asked the associate Ingrid would there be any better deals on Black Friday?? She said No that the one they have now would be the best. So I said ok I’ll go with that, I got my new tires, a month passed by and I haven’t received any of the points back. I called and spoke with Ingrid and she informed me to speak with Jose the department manager I went ahead with that and he said that, that offer wasn’t valid anymore and he knows nothing about it and that he couldn’t help me with that. “Him being a manager” that’s the customer service he provided me with. So I went along called customer solutions to get this resolved and said they will be contacting me within the next 48hrs. Next time I will just stay with my regular Costco for Auto service needs.
With the prices they have youre better off going to the dealer for your particular car make and get better service. After the second time of bringing and Ill be honest, an old work van, within the last 6months, the technicians seemed to come up with new problems even though I had them conduct two previous inspections. When I asked why those problems were missed during the previous inspections, I was told that I would have to tell them the kind of inspections to conduct so they can better check. Heck, if I knew what I had to do to my own car I wouldnt be bringing it to begin with!

I got a call today about my car shocks and struts been fix. They had to only do a test for my brakes, I told them I just needed an evaluation, to see what other problems I needed fix. They suggested that I should do the text messages to so they can text me when my car will be ready. They just needed to put back the parts back and my car could be ready. So I’m on my way to see if there’s anyone there, I been calling and they didn’t even tell me that they were going to close early today. They didn’t even suggested that my car would not be ready by today. I may have to miss work tomorrow to fix this issue tomorrow morning

I took my car in for a simple battery change and the mechanics broke a part that was completely unrelated to the battery .... what should have been a 30-45 min job turned into me being without a car for 3 days because their staff couldnt obtain the part they broke from the dealership ... I understand that accidents happen but what was more disappointing was the fact that they were not too apologetic about and the compensation I received was $40 off my battery.... an amount that didnt even cover the cost for the lyft pickup requests I scheduled.... the auto center could use better management and improve their customer service.

BEWARE!!!This place should be shut down. I brought my car here to have my fan belt changed last week and when I got my car back the coolant was leaking, the air conditioner no longer worked, my car was steaming from the drivers side and the radiator fans no longer work. They didnt even want to run a diagnostic after they knew they damaged my car! They passed it off with recommending I go to a different mechanic.I also had a groupon for them to change my oil about a month ago, I took my car in to get an oil change and they didnt turn the oil change light off..But i never thought something like this would happen after bringing it back..

What is the point of making an appointment?I went to this auto center with appointment that I made since Friday and they told me that it wasnt approved. You need to wait for one hour to check your car and wait until the mechanic finishes the car he is checking right now, about 3 hours of wait (thats what the lady told me). I got an email at 3 pm saying that my appointment has been approved for today at 10 am. Thats BS. No wonder they are closing these stores.Costumer service and internet appointments suck.
I went to this place for my oil change and im satisfied with the service. The place looks old, but the staffs were decent, i would say helpful. They honored the Groupon code without any issue. The time they took was bit more..1.5 hrs, but for me it wasnt an issue as i went to the mall next door with my family to spend time.
I made an appointment, went in at the proscribed time and was told they werent taking appointments and that even with one it would be a two hour wait to get my battery checked. Also, I was told the last battery I bought was in 2017 and was no longer under warranty but I told them it had been more recent and they said no. Went home and found the receipt... it was June 2019. You decide what THAT means.

Took my car in to the auto center in downey on Friday to get some work it was suppose to be ready by the end of the day when I show up my car is not ready and they didnt even give me a call to let me know it wouldnt be ready. To top it off it was going to be ready on Sunday and when I called they said they werent able to fix it that the mechanic had no experience on 4 wheel drive so he had to bring down the transmission. When I called on Monday they told me that they were going to send it to Cerritos because they couldnt start it and they didnt know why. And till this day I dont have my car back they had to send it to the dealership. Worse experience. Never again will I take my car to sears.

I went in for tires and after 5 days, a rental car and 3300 dollars, and mutiple new reasons to do this and that, I had to go to sears in victorville only to find out that what was done was done wrong or important stuff was neglected. I am very unhappy with the service

They were out of oil filters on a promo at 8 in the morning, I paid 10.00 for a Synthetic oil change make sure the always put In the 6- 10 oil filters in. Some places put a reg oil filter in which defeats Synthetic oil life and waste of money.
Came in for just a flat repair on a tire that I purchased roadside insurance on and was turned away because they were booked up. a job that literally takes 10 minutes or less. Next time I will get my tires from American Tire Depot.

The service is the worst, they received my car at 4.45 p.m. only for tire rotation and to check one that was losing air and the one that received me said it was the following (they had made the appointment in the morning) and I returned to the 6.40 pm to find that my car still did not pass, I think thats why they are closing several stores, for the bad service, it seems a mockery to the customers that thanks to us have work, before buying the tires here they had told me about the bad service and I ignored, avoid this place and they will not waste time and make corajes
The second time in a month, more than two hours of waiting each time for a new tire that lost pressure and supposedly had a small agunero that did not find the nail in it and I still had to pay them because, according to them, it is not a fault of favor.
