IVAN GONZALEZ in your whittier branch is the only reason I gave you guys a five star. If it wasnt for him I wouldnt have paid my car loan. The premiums your bank charged me for not having insurance even though I did HAVE INSURANCE was absolutely NOT OK and the fact that your team refused to help me take those off was NOT OK. I had the FULL PAYOFF AMOUNT IN HAND and they refused to help me take those charges off. If it wasnt for IVAN helping me, you guys would HAVE NOT GOTTEN PAIDand a 1 star review. I highly suggest that when someone is trying to payoff THEIR ENTIRE LOAN that you help them out in any way possible. Looking through the reviews your company seems to be doing a lot of those sketchy $1000 premiums. IVAN GONZALEZ DESERVES A RAISE VACATION OR SOMETHING GREAT

This review is based on the non free checking or savingsI walked in here because I thought they were like Unify. Unify Credit Union actually has a free checking and a free savings, just open with $25, no monthly limit balance, and take off overdraft coverage. What more does one need when there is no income coming in... only downside is there arent alot of atms that are unify, so you have to find credit unions atm, and so I found this branch, closest to my home. Well I decided to walk In and ask about their services to be told NOONE OFFERS FREE CHECKING OR SAVINGS, THE ONLY PROGRAM WE HAVE ARE FOR STUDENTS UNDER 25... and so I walked right back out. I still remain with unify. Sucks that the closest unify branch is in Lakewood.

Quick and extremely helpful response to my request via the website. I had missed a notification of new fees on lower balance accounts. Bottom line; read all the emails, and write rather than calling if you have a question.

RUN!!! Have never dealt with a more shady company. Thanks to them I was able to add tons and tons of extra charges on my bill. Should have never left my old financing company. Thought I would be saving money but boy I was wrong.

@brandon Lee well you seem like a horrible person so its good we dont share a bank. Maybe if you change you attitude and hold your self better people might respect you more.Bank as a hole is good for the most part have had some issues but I have been with them for ~15 years now.

My advice: Think twice and ask timeframe first.I am Currently in process of a refi-cashout with this cu. started off great, the Loan Agent was very quick with his responses and getting our initial application and docs completed as well as the financing we were looking for. We had all the requested supporting docs in, paid for and received the appraisal. Everything was moving smoothly, applied late October, got docs, appraisal needed November 6, then nothing...We hadn’t heard back from the agent for a week so WE inquired as to when we should expect a status or the closing docs to sign. His reply was that they are extremely busy and will probably get final approval and close sometime in December. He would let us know.So, our issue is that now we are out the appraisal cost, time, effort and must simply wait around til they are ready to close. In all my years as a Loan Agent, Processor and subsequent Realtor I have never expected this to happen. Typically closing loans is top priority to get on the books as well as making sure the rate lock doesn’t expire and most importantly pleasing the client. Now, we are told to sit and wait and when they are ready, they’ll “let us know”.I wish they were upfront about how “busy” they are and if we still wish to proceed (we applied back in October, mind you), that they will not fund the loan until some time in December. If we would’ve know upfront, we would never have taken our business here. Now we’re stuck sitting and waiting so that we aren’t out a ding on our credit check and appraisal costs. We had planned home improvements with the cash out so unfortunately all work to be performed is on hold as well.I’d advise anyone looking to purchase or refinance with Financial Partners to shop around first and specifically get in writing when they expect the turnaround time to be (barring any unknown circumstances) which does not apply here. The simple fact that the only way I can find out my loan status is reaching out to the agent rather then him constantly reassuring me that he’s still working on it or that he hasn’t forgotten about us. Just not a good business practice here.

Criminal organization with scores of hidden fees, hard to get a hold of via phone, ADDS to your loan amount, and works with the devious Rate Genius company. 5-star ratings are likely fictional endorsements. Dont walk, RUN from this comapny.

I applied for a checkings account and the email correspondences I received stated,Rest assured, your MasterCard **** will not be charged your opening deposit of $25.00 until your account is approved. Until then, you’ll simply see a “pending” charge on your account. I was not approved which is okay BUT, I was CHARGED the 25.00 right away! Now I have to wait 5 business days for a credit but, due to the weekend and holiday it will take 7 business days.. Bad First Time Experience

Do not use financial Partners Credit union if you are looking to keep your money safe or good service. FPCU will hold your money hostage if you close your account. BOYCOTT FPCU!!! The manager Roy threatened that my money would vanish from my account after demanding to have my card reactivated to withdraw my own funds from FPCU. Beware of FPCU for they will steel your hard earned money.

Financial Partners Credit Union is the worse choice you can make. You will be disappointed with their terrible customer service through out the entire institution. Beware of the terrible service FPCU offers. You can see other reviews that will tell you the same thing. FINANCIAL PARTNERS CREDIT UNION is an unsafe institution and does not care about their members. Their response to negative reviews are made up and not truthful. Beware of FPCU!! See other negative reviews and judge for yourself. You will thank me for staying away from FPCU.

CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS seems like Im always having issues with the customer service, these individuals sounds rude and not engaging I have an issue with my credit card, I was at Disneyland attempting to pay for my sons first experience, he was so excited and I did everything that was requested to ser up my card I called confirmed and checked, it was a go, so I thought. We get to Disney land and I go to use my card and the person said it declined 2 attempts to try and retrieve funds me my son his mother his cousin were seriously bummed and upset and truly disappointed at this credit union. I then attempt to contact them several times and the 3 times I did get through the representatives on the phone werent helpful rude and very ignorant to the status of my account which is interesting because I didnt issue the card or make it they did and the tell me they cant find the card number they issued me, scratching my head Im like OK resolve it this is not my problem, they say they cant they have to transfer me and I not once got connected to anyone after the 45 minute each phone call I had with 3 of your operators mind you we allare outside hot scratching our head watching people go in, I finally broke down and scrapped together the money me and his mother had and got in but werent able to enjoy or purchase food or souvenirs memories nothing. So upset I call the next day I request the supervisor, who was absolutely no help all she did and said was that she cant do anything after I inquired and requested compensation for my time pain and suffering, struggle, broken heart, extreme financial strain she said no no Im not sure they can but I will put in note. Its now the 3 day since Ive had this issue and have not gotten 1 call back with no resolution or compensation, Im going to my yelp account directly after. Be aware people. THEY BROKE MY SONS HEART AND REALLY DONT CARE BUT WILL SELL U A DREAM

I just joined a week ago, and had become a little frustrated because I couldnt log in online or get any info through the automated either, even after providing all my info and requesting a pass code to be sent to me which was never received. So I went to my branch in person and spoke with the Manager Tony Cristani. He really helped me out a lot and managed to calm me down, lol. He explained in detail all the benefits of being a member, and just went above and beyond. Im glad I chose FPCU!

Absolutely ridiculous that you allow people to apply for your credit card yet no where on your website does it state that you must be at least a Legal Permanent Resident. absolutely disgusting, If you don’t want people (a DACA recipient) to apply for your bank then you need to state it on your website because nowhere on the website or anywhere else does it state that you have to be LPR or above. ABSOLUTE DISCRIMINATION

If you miss your Loan monthly payments FPCU will hold your money hostage . I found out the hard way Their “resolution” Department will call you everyday not to help you but to collect their money.

My experience was in the Downey branch location the customer service was very poor ...despite the fact I didnt get approved I guess if you dont get approved you dont even deserve a courtesy call...After Roy lazy eye ponce had told me I should get a call within 15 mins never did I receive anything ..I was so anxious to know but they never called...I got a answer till I followed up with them ... my experience was horrible ..so be ready to get the point if they never reply....

We feel discriminated for having asked to speak in Spanish. We spent almost 1 hour and they passed other people who had been arriving and charged us with the loan.
