Nice, honest, and professional customer service! I went to double check my cars diagnosis I got from another shop and they were able to reassure me I could drive my car safely without having to throw over a thousand dollars at a part that wasnt displaying symptoms that it had gone bad (and wasnt bad).I would recommend them to anyone who wants an honest diagnosis.

Ive known Beard due to Downers Grove Radiator and his dads place in Lisle.So its been years, of knowing him.Ive sent my in-laws to him for their car work and have always treated them like family which goes a long way with the theives that seem to be around every corner.Honest work, good prices and not a den of thieves like some shops that have come and gone in the area.

Beard auto repair is a phenomenal auto repair place. Scheduling is extremely easy, with a quick phone call you will have your appointment scheduled. They have a convienient key drop so you can leave your car there for the next day even after they are closed. I had them run a test of the AC system to find any issues that were causing it to not blow cool air. Luckily it just needed a freon recharge, and they put in a UV dye to identify leaks if it runs out quickly in the future. After the servicing was done, they were very upfront about what they did, how much it would cost, and the receipt was very detailed into where the money went. They are very quick, knowledgeable and polite folk, and I can definetely recommend coming here for automotive repair services.

Ive been going to Beard Auto for many years. They really know what theyre doing and also are fantastic problem solvers.

I have a 2005 Ford F-150. It was making transmission problems so I thought. I took the truck to the Ford dealership and was told that I would need a new transmission. Or, on the cheaper note maybe just rebuilt. A friend of mine turned me on to beard. I thought what the heck. Ill give him a try. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and spectacular. I would highly recommend them. The whole fix was nothing more than a fuel injector that had went bad. I got it replaced along with a tune up for a really fair price and about 1/3 of the cost from what the Ford dealership wanted to charge me. I recommend this place to all of the area and Beyond.

I dont understand how there are any positive reviews coming from this place. If you have any issues and you speak with the owner Gene. The guy just shuts down on you. He did nothing to rectify very unacceptable service. Dont go here for any major work! My car ended up in a worse condition than when I brought it in, in fact, Im selling it as a parts car. This place gives honest mechanics a bad name, and they were ready to rob me!

Recently had Beard repair our 11 year old truck. The power steering line had rusted through and needed to be replaced. Not only did Beard repair the line for a price that was less than we had expected, (after checking out the possible costs online), they also got it back to us sooner than we were originally told knowing how much we needed to be able to use it.Nobody is perfect but over the years they have always made every effort to help us out and we appreciate theyre help..

I have only been in town for a couple of months, and I noticed that the parking lot is always full at this location, and I took it as a good sign. Anyway, I went in and set up an appointment (it wasnt urgent work). I had a bolt that I had stripped horribly, and needed new rotors put on. I figured it would take quite a while just to get the bolt out, but 30 minutes after I got there, they were handing me back my keys, all repairs done, at a very reasonable price. It is safe to say that I have found the only shop that I will use while I am here. I am going back for tires next week sometime, and plan to set up an oil change while I am there. Try this place out, you will not regret it!

HORRIBLE SERVICE will never return!I needed an oil change Friday and they told me to come in I also told them I needed a few other things looked at. They neglected to look at the issues Friday because they were busy so i tried to schedule an appointment for Monday morning or Tuesday morning of the following week but was told by the owner just to come in because Im his words they wont be busy but when I called at 730 Tuesday morning I was told they are fully booked for the week.. I asked about him, but you told me you guys wouldnt be busy so you didnt make me an appointment? Sorry we have no opening for the rest of the week we cant help youHorrible service and horrible owner and employees and I will never be back.. you suck Beard!

After several encounters with this shop I can safely say I will not be going back. Something about starting my car up to have it brake down 15 seconds after having it repaired irks me the wrong way.

Crooks. Like the rest of them. All shops are rackets.Charged me 50 dollars more than list for a control arm, and doubled the cost of a tie rod end. They charged me an hour+ labor for a tie rod end! What buffoon cannot replace a tie rod end within an hour?
