Yummy food. Fast service. Amazing staff!

Stopped in for the vegan ice cream at Mommomms on the way to the beach and grabbed a veggie sub. My first time here and I couldnt have been more pleased.A good amount of fresh veggies to choose from (they have spinach!) and the roll was delicious.I was so happy with the sub I stopped and grabbed another on my way home.The staff was very friendly, attentive, and moved quickly. Looking forward to the next time!

I love this place ! The made to order sandwiches are always fabulous and service is always provided with enthusiasm and a smile. Makes the whole experience so pleasant and worthwhile. Highly recommend this lovely little sandwich joint.

I just came in today for the first time in a very long time, Ive not ate a sub from here since I was a little girl and its been awhile for my mom. She wanted to buy me lunch today and Ive been craving for a good Italian, I am beyond thrilled they still have the BEST SUBS Hands down in the whole state of Delaware. If you live her and have not tried them please do yourself a favor and go check them out even if you are just riding threw, you will not be disappointed. Its just as I remember growing up if not better!! I wish I coukd woot and rave more about this place but once you try it, it speaks for itself. As well as the very polite and friendly customer service.

I have been going here for years and this is the first time I had to bring a sub back..had 2 kind of peppers and the wrong cheese.I ordered salt and pepper and ex cheese....the problem was the attitude when I brought it back ! I go and tell her who I am its up front a lil girl hands it to me no bag no sorry nonething....I am BIG on customer service and they made me feel like they dont need any customers so....GOOD LUCK I wont be back for bad attitudes...

I’ve ridden past this store a thousand times but never stoppedI recently was working right next door to this business and I hadn’t had breakfast yet so I decided to check it it out....THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!! and this is now going to be my new breakfast spot!! Subs are good but the service anymore not so much. I was put on hold them hung up on then when I called back as I was ordering all the guy was saying was ok then hung up with out saying my total or anything

Me and my mom went here yesterday to get two hoagies. Mind you. I use to come here years ago and the hoagies were amazing. Can’t say that no more. I literally had one piece of turkey on my hoagie and all the rest was lettuce tomato onion oil mayo. I was very disappointed in them. They ruined a good thing.. Take ya cravings wale where

Moved out of state only to come back to the best sandwich I haven’t had in a while. I definitely feel like a tourist who made the best lunch decision . My stomach is satisfied!!!

At the moment you arrive in that place the personel give you an excellent feeling. Very courteous hosts, it is a happy restaurant to to go out with buddies or with your date. very good cuisine, talented chief cook and stuff, modest cost and excellent service. Highly recommended.

Awesome store staff is always friendly excellent food and fast service..... It has been my go to sub shop since I moved to Dover!!!! And the ice cream shop next door is just as superb......

For the best subs! For the best price! Then you havent been here. Ive been coming here since was 9 years old. Coming here with my friends parking our bikes in the parking lot getting 1-10 cent candy. Growing up in the area before retiring in North Carolina. I come home a lot to see my my Mom and I have to stop here and grab a sub for my Delaware craving. This place hasnt lost a step and it feels good to walk into time from when I was a kid. Pay that overpriced sub at Jersey Mikes! I guarantee the best sub for the best price is the Little Grocer!

This is a hidden gem in Dover. Some of the best food that you can find and the staff is very friendly. It may look small but they are better than any of the big shops in town.

My visit is always satisfactory, great family that runs the store always great food they treat everybody like u are family too, they have a menu board but allow u to order whatever kind of concocktion u want & charge accordingly, they have sandwiches subs dinners salads groceries drinks ice & ice cream some homemade, they are basically always busy because Im not the only one who loves this fantastic Mom&Pop store, I myself have been going in there quite often & 35 years u cant beat it. They do quick service waiting on u & always make u glad u came so much that u come back for more time after time. I have never been treated badly & after 35 years I cannot find anything bad to say about this place, its like a second home.

Called in for turkey club on wheat bread and cheese, they got absolutely nothing right. Got to job after picking it up and wrong bread mo mayo, no cheese. For a 8 dollar sandwich!!! Wont order there again

Love the subs here!! Whats even better about this place. Its been owned by the same family for many many many years. They are all about there customers. Family friendly atmosphere though its just a very small store.

I found the staff to be friendly and helpfull. I was greeted as coming through the door with a smile and a hello. I found the subs to be very well made. Not too much not too little and they were not soggy by the time I got home. It is a old fashioned Mom & Pop store with things you cant find elsewhere. Best place to go in the summer time for a sandwich/sub, a cold drink, and a bag of chips.

I have been eating subs from The Little Grocer ever since I was 5 yrs old. Better than anyone around. And Mom Moms ice cream has the most unique and delicious flavors.

Always friendly and have great subs. I love how their turkey isnt like straight deli meat, squares. Its funny how if you go in there to pick up and they do not have an order under your name they know to call The Grocery Basket as they always get mixed up.

Have never had a bad experience here. I am a frequent supporter 6 days a week at least and honestly anyone who says they have had a bad experience I question it. And honestly if you did address it with the owners. Very down to earth family owned business. This is what old school delis are. Have never had an order screwed up and I tell them what I want and they get it right everytime.They have had a few changes with staff but be patient some take a little longer but hey its not fast food.Also if you go in here at peak times and complain about speed you have to be special.Great small business

I absolutely love going here for the subs. Every employee there will go out of their way to make sure your order is perfect! My wife will definitely tell you that they have the best Philly steak in Delaware! After were done eating, we always stop into Mommoms ice cream (which is connected to the little grocer). Its the little things like the daily trivia question they ask, and service with a smile that make this place so awesome!

Love the salads, I get the chef salad with extra meat, to share with my 4 legged babies. The large one lasts me 2 days. I have difficulty chewing and swallowing due to my illness but the way all the vetables are shredded I am able to enjoy a salad again. Thanks! Thanks to my daughter Heather for driving and getting me the salad When ever I want it because I cant drive. Also thanks to her for suggesting such a great place. Never had a bad sandwich from this location! I would venture to say that this is the best mom and pops location in Dover Delaware! We order from here at least 2-3 times a month...price point isnt bad either!

The Prices are very fair and cheap. The staff are very friendly and they remember your face and your name. They have a question of the week and if you answer correctly you could get 50¢off your order. This store has a little of everything for your quick stop needs but I mostly go for the subs.

I ordered a salad amd gave specific ingredients. The first time they made it, it was wrong. I took it back and asked for the correct salad. Instead of remaking it they picked out with their hands what i didnt want and threw more peppers on top to make it look fresh. Once i started eating, i noticed i still had the old ingredients in. Once i called to ask for a new one Matt started yelling over the phone that unless i was willing to pay for both salads then i wouldnt be getting a fresh one. I will never again order from again

The Stachecki family has always made sure their service, fresh ingredients, and quality of food were paramount. I was in Dover a few weeks ago; I ordered a large turkey sub, and as usual, Little Grocer never disappoints. Rest in peace Jane Stachecki you will be missed.
