Face it, Delaware just doesn’t have a lot of places like this so when it might be a bit of a hole in the wall, it is so wonderful to find this spot. Nice guy helped me find what I was looking for. Now I don’t have to roll all the way beck to Wheaton, Md to stock up on things we need. They have a wide number of items you just can’t find in the ethnic section of even the larger grocery stores.

Selection is great, but if you are going to lock the doors 30 minutes early and ignore a customer who is staring right at you through the window, then this review is just to keep that aspect of customer service in mind.

Great variety of unusual products from Japan, China, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand!!However, 1. The prices are high.2. The cashiers (I assume they are the owners): korean guy and girl with a newborn are super rude! 😡😤 they don’t greet the customers, they don’t thank the customers for the purchase (I spent $20 there). When I was touring the store and took my time since I have never seen such a large variety of unusual products, the lady asked me what I was looking for. When I replied: “food”, she looked at me like I was not welcome there. Then she said that I cannot take pictures of her (her store?), although I never thought of making a photo there. Also, she did not permit me to take a store basket to my car, which was 10 feet away from the supermarket. As a result, I had to make two trips...In conclusion: although I loved the grocery variety and would like to try more of the goods, I will not come back to this store because of the terrible customer service. So sad for the “Oriental Spanish Food market” that they can ruin their promising business by the personnel’s rude behavior!

Great Product there, save me the trip of driving to major city. It a little expensive compare to other Asian market but it a rose in the middle of a dessert. A lot of dried food and frozen product. Great customer service.

The owners are very friendly! Always greeting everyone that comes in. They have a lot of different variety of oriental groceries at an affordable price. No need to go out of dover to find these ingredients.

I typically just visit this store for spur of the moment items. Unfortunately my last 2 visits went like so; when I questioned the prices on the items which has always fluctuated at random because he doesnt list or mark his prices for a lot of his merchandise which I was used to seeing but why get iratewhen asked. Especially when you just charged me 10.00 on a product, that in the past sold for several dollars less, I used to buy several packs at a time in the past so I was curious as to why the huge price 👆.Last visit the open sign and lights were on but the door was locked. As he made his way from the back instead of opening the door he flipped the sign and light to close, yelled closed whilst he flicked his hand to shoo us away, but as I got in my car a Korean women walked up to the door who also questioned the close sign, it was only a little after 5, he actually came back and opened the door and let her shop. I just wanted a bag of bean sprouts.

We are frequent shoppers here. Probably the nearest oriental store to get ingredients for Filipino dishes. Owners are very friendly and prices are fair. They have vegetables canned and bottled stuff of asian and patin foods. I love their kimchi and other homemade korean pickled products intheir fridge.

Nice selection for small store. They had all the essentials I needed for Thai recipes including curry pastes, rice noodles, fish sauce, kaffir lime, and lemongrass. Some of the prices were slightly high and some were average. Most of the items Thai, Vietnamese, and Japanese. Will be back.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place to anyone anymore. There has been a kitten, grown into a cat, which roams the store. I have seen the young lady making food in the back with this kitten by the bowl and other cats standing by the screen door. She has left the food uncovered and went to the register to make a sale - without washing her hands. Of course, the kitten had to take a taste - I mean, I think the kitten thought it was their food. The back room is dirty and the screen door is always ajar. Take a look the next time you are in there - its dirty. They store raw, head-on shrimp, uncovered with a pair of tongs laying atop of the shrimp. This has been stored ABOVE vegetables and other items in the reach-in cooler. Sometimes its below. Ive asked them why they dont have it in their other food cooler, on the bottom shelf, on ice. They dont seem to care. Last year, I called the Health Department - the cat was not there and the shrimp was not there either - what a coincidence!!The young lady is very into K-Dramas and I have seen her make customers wait because she has been engrossed into her show. Dont they want to make the sale? Cant the K-Drama be paused to give good customer service? The man who works there is loud mouth and rude. He has laughed at customers in line on the items they are purchasing. What business it is his on what the customers are buying and why laugh at them? They are buying things at his store!!The owners need to realize you do not have to look Asian to understand the Korean language. There have been many times he has made fun of the customers and made rude remarks about them and me. I respond to him in Korean and there is always shock that I know the language. Dont put people down who are purchasing items in your store. I know exactly what you are saying and have no problem telling the person in front of me what you just said about them. I have no problem telling him what I think, too.I know a lot of the Korean community in this area do not go to this place. They have questioned on why I still go there and warned me not to go, but its the closest thing. My mom and her friends will never give them another dime because they think the store is dirty, why is there a cat eating in the back and at the counter and the customer service is poor.I used to buy their kimbap, but have not in over 3 years.Lets be honest - it sits on the counter for how long???? Then the next day, you see the same kimbap - but its fried. So the kimbap they didnt sell yesterday, which stayed on their counter, at room temperature or above, all day, is now being sold the next day - fried. YUCK. I am sure many people have had the bubble guts and never thought of the food they ate at your place. I have found hair in their jars of kimchi too - is it human hair or cat hair? I know I cant get sick from hair - but it is disgusting to find it in your food.Another thing they should research is the difference between the soybean sprout and the mung bean sprout. Please stop telling people the mung bean sprouts are soybean sprouts. They are not. They are different. You should know the difference.Im taking my moms advice and the other Koreans in the community. Ill drive to Elsmere, DE and give my business to Youngs Grocery Store. This place is clean, the owners give excellent customer service, and there are no animals wandering in their kitchen. Seafood is separate from their vegetables. If I cant find what I need in Elsmere, then I will take the road trip with my mom to an H Mart over an hour away.

Compared to the shop in Salisbury, its very small. Thats not a bad thing, it is packed with stuff but the dinghy atmosphere and the fact that a couple of people were arguing just about the entire time I was trying to shop made my VERY uncomfortable. The preview image on here showed lots of plushies in the window but there was actually very little かわいい stuff, I didnt see any more plushies, not that that means they keep it in stock but youd hope the Google image would be more representative. It looked clean on Google. IRL, I feel like Im walking into someones storage unit full of packaged food.If you dont have another Asian market near you, Id go because of the selection, but its not worth a special road trip.
