Good place to grab coffee and light breakfast. Good selection of drinks, and plenty of muffins, bagels and other options. Breakfast sandwich (egg, bacon and cheddar) was good. Staff are friendly and service is quick. Nice to have a place like this is Dover. Great spot to sit outside with your coffee on a nice morning.
LOVEEEE this place, atmosphere is so important to me when shopping/dining and this place hits the nail on the head. Great seating options, great service and good prices for a small business. The owner is so nice and great to talk to. Workers are friendly and helpful. 10/10 I would recommend to ANYONE in the area
I work remotely and love to come here to get out of the house for a few hours a day during the week. Drinks are top-notch. Food tasty. Staff and owner are always so very friendly and welcoming. (Its a fun place to people-watch, too. Lotta traffic and interesting patrons coming and going all day.) & between the outside patio, the barstools, the lounge, and the dining area, there is a lot of variety to help you find that particular mood you want. Also, the HoC scored some prime real estate in lovely downtown Dover, so its very convenient as theres a lot to see within walking distance. Great place to visit!
Stopped here for a coffee and quick bite. We were able to sit outside and have a great time with friends. Coffee was such good quality
I had the best Vanilla Latte this morning (they added a sprinkle of cinnamon for me - just the way I like it). The staff was very friendly, quick and helpful. The atmosphere with the historical building and the cozy outdoor spaces gave off the best summer vibes. This type of establishment is the epitome of what downtown Dover needs more of. Good work House of Coffi!
Halfway decent cappuccino its better than Starbucks but not the best cappuccino I’ve ever had. They serve everything in paper cups which kind of takes away the purpose of getting a cappuccino in my opinion I prefer to have it served in an actual cappuccino cup. If they made their cappuccino a bit stronger and would serve it in an actual cappuccino cup my review could go up to four or five stars. Unfortunately went again today and got a cappuccino and couldn’t taste any espresso I don’t think I’ll be returning after this it was completely tasteless like drinking warm milk.
The location of this coffee shop was fantastic! Plenty of (2-hour) parking nearby, across the street from the Dover library, short walking distance to the art museum AND the square of historic buildings. The place was great too, though the interior was cramped. Most of the seating is outside, though there are plenty of umbrellas. Inside, they also sell some local art, which I thought was great, especially being so close to the art museum. The muffin was great and their seasonal drinks seemed very unique (Fortune Cookie latte?!) and would definitely have me coming back to see whats new.
I started coming here quite regularly over the past couple of months and absolutely love it! I also have some occasional business meetings outside in the 2 spots they offer for outdoor sitting & conversation. I recommend stopping in. The caramel ice coffees are my favorite too!
Their espresso drinks are delicious, service impeccable, and overall great atmosphere. With the pandemic, they allow pick up order of their beans (which they source locally) for home brewing and will even grind it for you. Highly recommend!
Excellent coffee in a beautiful building. I can recommend drinking the coffee outside on the brick patio.
I try to take off my Realtor hat on Sundays... I try. So today the wife and I went to The House of Coffi for and after breakfast dessert coffee. The atmosphere is nice and laid back. The coffee is wonderful. A cool place in Downtown Dover to relax and hang out.If this review was helpful, give it a 👍🏼! If you want to see more of my reviews, follow my page!
Awesome, friendly staff ! Love the coffee and bagel and muffin we had today ! This is the best place to get coffee in Dover for sure ! Will be returning soon
Best iced Americano we have had in a long time.
Beautiful local coffee place. Very friendly staff and nice drinks
Nice place come eat and look good artist work or chill outfor min with muffin and coffee nice worker.
Very nice people working there Very good coffee and very big bagels!
Great place, Great people, I love there coffee
Love the build your own acai bowl!
Friendly diverse staff which is half of any service experience for me personally.
Always a great place to get coffee in Dover! Great vibe and lovely people there too!
Amazing Coffee. Best ever.
Beautiful little place for a quick healthy bite. Downstairs looks cozier than upstairs, tables could be next to the windows for a view, maybe change the color of the walls to one more welcoming instead of plain and cold. Excellent customer service. I only had matcha tea and egg soufle with a bagel; I give it a 3.8 Banging bagel lots of cheese cream but egg soufle with gouda and bacon wasnt that great besides putting it in a paper mold doesnt work for me because the egg sticks to it and it as a little too dry. They have soups which I love and Lobster bisque sounded like a winner but didnt have the time to try it. Let you know next time! 😁
This is one of the best places to visit as Ive lived in Dover, DE. Also, in general this is a favorite of many places Ive been along my journey in life! I thank the good Lord for how it has blessed me. Ill be missing it as I move from the area this Spring. May House of Coffi bless others as it has me!
My favorite place for a good cup of coffee and a bagel.
We have been here sevreal times. todag was bad. orders were wrong and the egg was half frozen. we wont be back.
This is an adorable, cozy, welcoming, and inviting coffee shop tucked in the historic part of Dover. They offered a variety of delicious coffee creations along with mouthwatering confections. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the atmosphere made for the perfect setting for sharing coffee and conversation with a friend or two or just enjoying quiet time with a great cup of coffee and a good book.
The good: The coffee is excellent and strong. The bad: The place is severely understaffed on a Saturday morning with one barista attempting to train a new employee while making all of the drinks. Regardless, no one has 25 minutes to wait for their coffee to go. Beyond that, I watched a man tell the barista that she made his coffee hot instead of iced. The barista said, Oh, sorry, and continued to make another drink. She didnt offer to correct her mistake as he stood in front of her. He waited for her to address this problem, and she ignored him before he finally said, Have a nice day, and walked out. Unless this establishment wants all of their customers to follow suit and leave in disgust at poor service, the owner must hire additional employees.
These folks have the best coffee in New England! Not to mention the coolest coffee shop in Delaware!
Very cozy place, the lady at the cashier was amazingly kind and sweet. Great place for having a coffee and sit for a while.
Great place to chill and and drink a tasty coffee
Service was great. Nice local cafe. Coffee was a little watered down.
I wanted to love it but. First impressions walking in is awesome. A cozy caffe in the middle of the town. However Ive came here several times trying different drinks and something is always off. The normal sweeteners taste like sugar-free. The milk taste off. But I will say the caffeine levels are amazingly high. I really wanted to love this place and get away from big chains however this one just doesnt hit the cup
Aromas of the Coffee, almost materializes your taste buds. Nestled in Dover de
A coffee shop that happens to be in a good place as far as downtown Dover goes. College students serve up their own versions of everything because no one actually cares about the quality, first time I visited they didnt know what a cortado was. Second visit the lattes were nothing but milk. Lucky for this place, you dont have any other options in the area if its not Dunkin or Starbucks.
Great coffee house that sells cups for dine in our pounds to go! Local coffee from Ithaca and Philadelphia. The coffee I got to go had been roasted just 4 days before! The menu board looked good however we didnt have anything to eat.We got a great coffee recommendation so we grabbed a bag to go but enjoyed a nice iced coffee while taking in the atmosphere. Small place but feels very welcoming. Inside is decorated with local artists work for sale and my favorite, vintage vinyl. Seating at a bar and a second level as well as tables outside.
Met my husband here 2 years ago, we go on dates here all the time. They always have great new seasonal flavours to try as well as amazing baked treats that complement the atmosphere really well. Its always so cozy there with very friendly employees!
Great place to have a cup of coffee with friends and family to catch up
Very nice spot to get coffee and catch up with an old friend. Staff is wonderful.
Vanilla white mocha OMG!! As a truck driver I go to a lot of coffee shops in the country and this is The absolute best coffee spot I’ve been to in the entire east coast.
My first expirience with the coffe shop was not great, but after hearing from everyone I work with that goes to your establishment regularly I hsve changed my review. The owner/mamager responded to myveatlier post within that day. I humbly take back my first review and may try again.
We were traveling through the area looking for a good coffee shop, and luckily stumbled upon House of Coffi. Great atmosphere and skilled baristas with a selection of specialty coffee from a few different roasters. Had a conversation with the owner, who is passionate about great coffee and a quality experience.
Nice little coffee joint. Cozy, warming, and comforting. Pretty good coffee as well. I got the gingerbread latte and it was pretty nice.
Super quaint. Nice addition to the downtown vibe. Indoor seating is a little tight which is a shame because its the perfect place to stay a while. Can get a little muggy in the summertime. The young blonde girl that works there was very polite and friendly, she made half the experience.
Coffee was amazing and the staff was super nice ! Very warm and friendly environment !
Best Coffee house in Delaware. Awesome polite professional and happy staff. Unique drinks and goodies. Worth tipping!
Great breakfast here! An excellent seasonal selection of drinks and a cute food menu. The sandwich I got was made fresh and very tasty as were the drinks.
Coffee is an essential part of many weary travelers’ days, and Dover has an abundant supply of coffee shops that are located near the downtown area.House of Coffi was established in 2018, but since then, it’s gained a reputation for high-quality java. It’s a convenient place to relax with a morning cup, or in the afternoon after a long day on your feet.Their beans are roasted fresh on-site daily. For those who’d rather something a little different, they offer a variety of teas, juices, and smoothies, as well as baked goods and light fare. They’ve got fast Wi-Fi and open early for the morning crowd.
Ive been here a handful of times and always have a positive experience here. An amazing small business with a nice seasonal menu and a great layout!
Nice little place for gourmet coffee and breakfast food.
I’m from Maine, heard great things about this cafe. I bought two muffins and two coffees. Loved it. Planned to come here every Sunday morning. The coffee was great, environment was great. We sat down and near the end of our meal, I was cleaning off the table. I always like to help the servers out. I accidentally spilled my entire coffee that I had two sips of. I felt embarrassed and felt terrible for making a mess. I got on the floor with napkins, cleaning the floor and wall. I was more upset that I spilled my $4 coffee. I asked if I had to pay full price for a whole new one. The two girls working both said yes and there was nothing they could do. However the owner was extremely helpful and pleasant. Offered a gift card and free coffee. Great place!
Creative artwork, great coffee and chill atmosphere. The place closes at 4 not 6 as google has stated.
Good service.
Yes, time is valuable. I am along time downtown resident!
OmG...I loooove this place. I wish I had known about it prior to Covid. That way, I would have dined in, while reading a book, or looking at the beautiful art on the walls, (which can also be purchased). Today, I got the croissant and egg souffle..sooo good. The coffee is great! I will definitely be going back and will be taking my family and friends there.
Great coffee and super friendly staff
Love this place! Absolutely the best coffee for those who dislike overroasted bitterness. Fast n friendly even @ 830am.
Such a cute place, great coffi and staff!
Very friendly service and delicious coffee.
Such a charming coffee shop and the owner is really friendly. They come up with fun and unique drinks
Had a Latte and croissant. Was good but a little high priced.
I got a few muffins for my wife and some coffee. Soo good. And this place is really cool
Absolutely love this place. It’s the perfect spot in Dover. The coffee is so yummy and the food is delicious as well! I come in often and have never had a bad experience here. The team & the owner are amazing! I highly recommend this place!!!
Quaint and comfy local coffee shop. Great location with an outdoor seating area. Definitely worth stopping in. The opportunity they have is better customer service. This is my second time in where they have as many employees as customers and insist on calling out your name to come pick up your order much like the “big guys” do instead of simply bringing it to you. A little extra service will go a long way in the overall experience. I’m deep in my book, and am interrupted to walk over to a counter with 4 people behind it. Not a huge deal and I’ll definitely continue to come while I’m in DE. Just a suggestion that may add the little personal touch and charm that DE should be proud of.
Love it. They make their own pumpkin spice black coffee. Good prices. Its a cute comfortable coffee shop with excellent pastries and sandwiches. Definitely a shop that Dover needs. They offer certain events there too. The coffee is like no other. If you are a non dairy person, they can make you special coffee that can cater to that need or if you need it vegan. Its amazing. Best black coffee Ive tasted and I dont drink black coffee. You can sit there, do your homework, read, or just listen to music. Its a nice peaceful atmosphere.Parking is kinda tough but its the worth the walk. Thank you to the House of Coffi.
Great coffee. Cozy ambiance. Wide variety of food and caffeine. The acai bowls are the best with the pick your own toppings
Very cool little shop. Nice place to visit with friends and the house coffee is great. I havent tried any of the fancy coffees.
Pretty good cup of Joe. A little pricey but better than Starbucks.
Very friendly, and very good coffee definitely recommend for a local coffee house
Very good coffee and bagels.
It wasnt the best cup of coffee Ive ever had but it was certainly good enough to satisfy my craving for a good cup. The people who work here exude positivity and greet all customers with a smile. The inside is very cozy and just feels like a place where youd want to sit down and relax while you drink your beverage.
This is a excellent coffee shop. The owner go beyond expectations of the customers. The staff at the shop is all young people. She is a great mentor for the young adults of the community. The drinks(coffee and otherwise)are wonderful. The sandwiches are very tasty. This business is a great asset to the City of Dover.
Quick service
Nice cozy atmosphere, good muffins and such. Basic drinks. Enjoyed my time there and looking forward to returning when I am in the area again.
Iced latte was horrible
I recently had a need for offsite coffee/light breakfast setup in Dover and Im located in New Castle. I came across The House of Coffi via a google search and decided to give them a try. Couldnt have been happier. Kristen and staff offered full-service from set-up (table cloths, etc.) to removal. They showed up early and wouldnt let us lift a finger to assist. The coffee was good and hot, the muffins were huge and delicious and as equally important they were fairly priced. Will definitely use them again. Well done. ~Kathy Davis, DAPE
This is such a cute and quaint little place! Love coming here with my girl Ashley! Hey Ashley! I know youll see this eventually! Lol
Great service friendly customer service
Super friendly service, great coffee and muffins.
Amazing atmosphere!! The barristas are so great, recommend the best drinks and are happy to serve you. The fact that it is a local owned shop just makes it a better place to eat/coffee!! The food is fantastic as well!!
Quaint little coffee shop that offers delicious pastries. Love coming here to get the crumb cake and blueberry muffins
