Mr. Armon Stevenson was our service rep, who did an outstanding job explaining the intricacies of the system as well as explain the myriad of options we could have. As far as we were concerned, he was an outstanding young man who did a magnificent job. He took his time installing the system, explaining how it operated and ensuring we were comfortable with the install and use of the system. When he finished, he again asked if we had any questions and made sure we were comfortable before he left. He detailed all options and remained until we were satisfied. From my perspective, he exceeded my expectations
I am not one to post reviews, however I feel the need to do so in our case.My husband & I feel the need to install a security system due to an incident. With him being in the military, on deployments, etc. I needed the peace of mind of my security being alone. They draw you in with “free equipment”, NOTHING is free. We spend around $2000 (unexpected) because by time we made our decisions the second guy had already disconnect our outdated equipment & in the process of installing the new one. We got over that.We had the equipment for about a year. My husband gets orders to PCS, something that is not planned. Put our house on the market.Called ADT to get their advice. They stated our contract (through the 3rd party) COULD be transferred to the new homeowners, which we got the same answer from multiple people. We sell our house. At closing I call ADT to get our contract transferred, who then tells me we have to either remove the equipment from the home (which the house is sold, no longer ours) or pay the early termination fee from the contract (over $1000) which ADT themselves said they have nothing to do with. It’s a federal law to waive these fees for our military members & their families. The third party people with ADT DOES NOT ACCOMMODATE OUR MILITARY. They want proof of a deployment (which would just put services on hold, & luckily he’s not deploying) or proof of you living on base (which in our case, we won’t be going to base)We came to an agreement that we we would have new equipment installed at our new house (they would provide the equipment) (which will be about 6 months before moving to our new location) & our monthly fees would be put on hold until the move. They have called me EVERYDAY to “schedule our installation” when we couldn’t even tell you where we’re gonna be or let alone living. Military is a process.****I would think it would end there.... it doesnt****2 months go by...... both monthly fees of $52.99 come out. Call to discuss, they say it would still come out, etc. At this point of fighting with them for the past few months, I just want to protect military families from going through what my husband & I have gone through with them. Every time we talk to them, it’s a different story or reasoning. I want to get the military lawyers involved. They finally decided to refund me the 2 months. & waive the fee of the contract (so they lie again, they could have waived the fees the first time I called them).Updated: Its been a month, I have yet to receive a refund. They say it processed through my account, however it never was refunded. Trust me, I will never call ADT again, let alone have services with them. They have made my experience as a military wife terrible when it comes to “being protected”. I’d much rather live in fear than being a loyal customer with them. It’s not about the refund & money. It’s proving a point to getting their company together. I will be getting more important people involved.Sorry for the long post. Just know, what I’ve written, is no where near the experience.
Originally had a 5 star review because our management told us to leave 5 star reviews so that the company looked better. This company is full of shady management with pathetic leadership. Company is in the middle of a class action lawsuit due to not paying employees their money and this isnt the first time this has happened. The company has had to change their name a couple of times due to bad business practices.
Nate was knowledgeable, sensitive to concerns we had, and happy to answer questions. Once we agreed on a plan he implemented it thoroughly and competently. After installation he made sure we completely understood how the system worked. Overall, he was friendly, highly professional, and did an excellent job.
Good evening I just want to say I change my alarm system to my home from guardian to ADT it is the worst choice I have a damn I wish I would’ve stayed had the system for one week issues already the technician was horrible they use a third-party that they never told me about I cannot wait for this contract expired so I can go back to guardian I HATE ADT
Overpriced equipment and tons of up charges. System will cost you thousands, with terrible customer service.
Worst customer service ever!
