Quiet store tucked in the corner. It feels like a store thats ready to close their doors for good... Older, outdated, light on stock... That said, I enjoy wandering around the store when the wife is in her craft zone LOL Its also nice to be able to pick things up on a Sunday, thats not possible with the big box store that just moved in.

Always can get exactly what im lookong for... Even if not in stock, they help me find what im looking for...even better then auto parts places or home repair places.... I use it a lot for doing custom car interiors.

This is a smaller store, so not as much choice or stock as one of their larger stores, thats why I only gave 4 stars. Otherwise, Id give it 5 stars! Always clean, nicely stocked for its size, and customer service is WONDRRFUL at this Joanns location. I like this JoAnns a lot! Parking is convenient, and the sidewalk in front of the store is handicap accessible, though one must open the door to enter the store by ones self. Curbside pickup is convenient and terrific!! Ive shopped online and done pickup twice so far. You just literally pull up to the curb, and park parallel to curb, call the store and tell them youre there, and they bring your merchandise out. I didnt have to wait long, either! They came out in maybe less than three minutes. Note: they will ask for your ID to verify its you before handing over your stuff. One negative comment: If you need to do an exchange or refund, you need to go into the store. For an even exchange, it would be really nice if it could be done curbside, too.

Joannes has quite the variety of fabric and sewing supplies, all reasonably priced, especially if you have the app on your phone. Recently their selection of holiday decor/fabric has been phenomenal. I enjoyed their variety of blown glass ornaments and nature inspired ornaments. Pleasant place with friendly people! I recommend all crafters pay Joanne Fabrics a visit. I even got a skeleton from here for Halloween!

Staff is very knowledgeable and super helpful. I have never felt rushed or that the staff was reluctant to help me find something or answer my questions. Considering this is the only store in the immediate area I wish the store was bigger so more variety/selection of products could be offered.

Terrible Customer service at the Dover Delaware location! If I could rate 0 stars I would. Sharon at the cutting center was extremely rude. My family was there to purchase a sewing machine and did not realize that the department had separate hours than the Jo-Ann store itself. She proceeded to come up to us and say, rude and loudly, LOOK lady, they are closed so get out of there. Do not touch anything just get out. We politely told her okay have a nice day at which she just gave us looks. Never coming back and will be telling anyone I can to NEVER come here.

Well, Mrs. PappyBob really loves this place and to be honest, I have found a few things in there as well. One of the two best stores like this in the Dover Camden Area.

I enjoy wondering the store looking at all the different types of fabrics.I am a novice at sewing and by no means know what each type of fabric etc is for. I think it would be wonderful if the stores could offer information on types of cloths, what, when, how to use.

Every time Ive gone, they never have what Im looking for. If youre looking for something specific in general crafts, youre better off going to Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Joanns specializes in fabric, so theres plenty of that. But their sewing is focused on machine. So, hand needles and yarn is not very represented

Its super organised and everything is easy to find. The employees are always very nice as well. It also has a nice smell when you come in. We were in and out under 20 mins, with everything we were looking for. I appreciate how well they cut the fabric.

Enormous variety of fabrics. You should find something that works for your project. They also have seasonal/holiday items that are quite nice. Will be going back!

I go to JoAnn Fabrics mostly for material. I always find that there is a good selection of what Im looking for. I do alot of crosstich.Joanna does not have a very good selection of different sizes of cloth to pick from. Nor any selection at all of different items that you can crosstich. Ex. Aprons, hats, etcThat is disappointing.

Does not have much selection. And their bathroom looked the same way 2 weeks ago with dead bugs located in the same spots. I miss my Super Joanns in My. Laurel, NJ. And that was clean AND a Super store. Lots of selection. This DE location does not when understand the term waterproof fabric.

I was extremely disappointed with this store. The vast majority of fabrics were for quilting. I was looking for brocade and also for possible table cloth material. I was told to check the super store in New Castle County. There is a better selection in Walmart.

Only place to go for hobby material! Best sewing machine staff in the business. I go there for all my questions and get straight answers without issue!

The scented pinecones nearly killed me..why would any store put them at the entrance to store. People cannot stand that scent...put them on the roof...

The best feature of this shop is that it has a very good Husqvarna Viking dealership with knowledgeable HV-trained staff. Quality and variety of most fabrics are average. Lots of polyester or fabrics that contain a percentage of polyester. Fine linen, silk, velvet and fine garment-quality selections are limited. Home dec fabrics are generally very good, if not somewhat limited in variety. Staff is generally knowledgeable; some have good knowledge of fabrics and of sewing. Sales are usually very good, especially when patterns are on sale. They have a fairly large variety of notions, but very few designer-caliber buttons, etc.

Nice selection of fabrics but store is small and feels crowded. There is always a wait to check out as there is seldom more than one cashier regardless of how busy the store is. The cutting table is also usually understaffed. Has a rewards program but makes it difficult to use. Only proximate fabric store so I have to grin and bear it.

I love Joanns Fabrics, however this particular one seems to have an opportunity in both 1.) employee and 2.) stock departments.1. I am not reviewing that the service there meets poor standards by any means, but a re-training along the lines of customer servixe (specifically initiative) would be beneficial. As a training consultant, I can confidently say the staff is more than capable of improving their ability to take initiative and engage customers, not simply welcoming them at the door if they are present.2. The store is smaller in size than others on average that I have seen before. That having been said, I believe with the space they are given, it is my opinion that they could capitalize on an opportunity to reset their inventory to accomodate a better variety of other, non-fabric crafts. Years ago, a store named Pearl arts supply store chain offered a magical shopping experience that provided customers with:well-staffed and almost overqualified employees (I mean, I always felt as if they were stepping out of their Mason Gross daytime professor positions to come work there part time); packed-to-the-brim options and choices in brands ranging from affordable to exorbitant selections of inventory; ample departments to offer the top-notch artist and the beginner with supplies that could complete any medium of art project!I mention the latter piece of information because the Joanns in my area growing up was always THE place to go for fabric specifically. Once Pearl shut down, I dont believe Joanns properly grew to accommodate those customers needs. This store does offer a modest amount of departments in addition to their fabrics; however, not nearly enough of a selection is offered in those individual departments.I prefer to spend my time and money in the physical store because I am social and enjoy the shopping experience as a whole.Often times, their website has directed me to this store to pick up items I need for a project, only to discover the items arent even available in the store. I say this only to notify the store of this issue and to warn and prime customers before they decide to enter the store - be advised: you may be setting yourself up for disappointment. I did not publish this final issue as a reason for the 3 stars. It did not weigh my rating due simply to the fact that I dont know if they are to blame or if it is a website related inventory technical issue.

Went in for some origami paper that it said on their website they had and after searching for 15 minutes of not finding it, I asked the woman up front and she rudely told me they dont have that. Its good for a lot of fabric though.
