They are the absolute worst. I would never buy anything from here again. We waited 2 hours for a curbside pickup order on 6/10/21. We had two separate orders with DIFFERENT order numbers. Two totally different doors. We were only picking up 1 door at this time. They brought the door out on a pallet wrapped up. We never signed a thing nor were we asked. Once we got home and unwrapped the door, we noticed that it was the wrong door yet our email reflected a pickup for the correct door. I immediately called customer service, spoke with a rep by the name of Tricia and was told to bring the door back. WHAT? Why would I bring a door back when your staff internally dropped the ball? I was given a wrong order. I’ve already been inconvenienced twice over. I asked that they send someone to pickup the incorrect door and deliver my correct door. I was told repeatedly that they could not do this and that they could only cancel it and I would need to reorder and wait the 3-6 weeks for a new shipment. That makes no sense. So you can’t send the same person who is coming to pick up the incorrect door to bring my door that I supposedly already picked up? Perhaps another local dispatch company that your store contracts with since after all this was your mistake? NOPE. I spoke with a customer service supervisor by the name of Faith who TOLD me that I signed something and once you sign off on paperwork that the item is correct it is your own risk. How are you going to tell me that I signed something when I told you I did not? Do you think I wanted the wrong door? I told them cancel it all. I don’t want anything from this company. Maybe they are forging signatures at this store being that they have a hard time fulfilling curbside pickup orders timely and competently from the looks of the past few reviews I’ve read. It took 4-5 more calls with home depot customer service to get this issue straightened out along with my refund. Apparently the supervisor Faith had never put in a case for the door to be picked up as she stated she would. I was told to allow 4-7 business days for contact from dispatch since their crew was backed up. I gave them time and waited until 6/21 to call back customer service. On that day I spoke with a rep by the name of Melissa who confirmed that no case had been created. Fortunately, this rep was very competent enough to rectify the issue for me. The door was picked up on 6/24. I just got off the phone with another rep today by the name of Heaven. A month later and I’m still trying to straighten out the last refund for the door that I had never received. She called the store to get some answers. Now the Home Depot online order confirmation emails say that they will hold your items for 7 days unless you call and work out another arrangement. So if you do not pick your order up in 7 days that would imply that someone in the store with be going through the 7 or 8 day list inventory and processing those back as returns. I would surely think those working in curbside and online orders in the physical store eventually have to review the inventory for put-backs and ask themselves: If something is marked off in the system as picked up, WHY IS IT STILL HERE?! Maybe this is something that requires further investigation. But Why would I expect such logic? Being that I never received the door, it technically should still be there waiting for pickup because as far as their system knows, it was picked up already, so it wouldn’t be going back to the supplier as a return or into the store. Apparently nobody noticed this or caught this error. They were clueless about their mistake. Never again. To Lowe’s I will go.

Their seems to be a trend happening in the Dover area Home improvement centers. Questionable characters are hanging out in the parking lots asking if you need help loading your materials. Being a single woman this is very u comfortable at night. I will not be going to these places alone anymore. They need to address this this situation.

The associates are very helpful. We were looking for a lawn mower and the only one left was on display. An associate that was in the store on her day off helped us do a willcall for one. Also we had the most helpful associate Gabby help us with ordering our new appliances.

This is a nice Home Depot which is well managed. They usually have good stock of items however as with many big box stores, they are more lited on staff. The staff they do have is excellent however.

Able to buy Snail poison bait. Alot of places are out. Does help control the number of snails around house.

Placed an online order for a lumber last night. Called 1st thing this morning to request it be pulled before I get there. I mentioned last few orders took well over an hour while I waited at the store. I dont have time for that. I have a crew on the clock waiting for this material. I gave 2 hour advanced notice I was coming AND an hour here 3 hours total!!....still not ready!!! So here I sit!!

Im here as I write this pick up an online order for 7 window wells. I get to the pick up desk and the guy doesnt seem too sure where my order is. He calls for someone to bring it because its not here. No one comes. After 10 minutes, he said Ill go get it myself. He comes back 15 minutes later with 5 the correct size and one that was too small. Did I mention I ordered 7? I ask what is this? Its not even 7. He says I dont know. I ask him to get the manager. Now Im still standing here waiting for them to correct it. If you cant count or tell the difference between 16 and 24 you should not work here. I will never stray from Lowes again. DON NOT SHOP HERE.

Went to pick up an order. Everything went smoothly. Yong woman in customer service was proficient and pleasant. No hassles, mixups, etc. Ease Pease!

Employees are very helpful about showing you where certain products are and they dont mind helping load lumber on your cart.

I usually love Home Depot. However, tonight was the first unpleasant and awkward experience Ive had. I was loading my car and one of the workers silently walked up to me. He started handing me the last items in my cart. No greeting, no offer of help. Just reached in my cart and piled the items in my hands and walked away with the cart and a rude thank you. Wow! Never have I experienced anything like this at a Home Depot. This was the Dover location.

My mother and I went In to buy a fire pit. The young guys in the garden center were absolutely NO HELP! All they wanted to do was stand around and chit chat with each other. When trying to go to ask for help or ask any question they would walk away. We walked up and down every isle trying to get help but never got any. The guys that worked there continued to just watch from a distance as we finally decided to lift the pit ourselves. My moms arm got bruised up. Will never go back. The princess guys don’t want to break a nail.

Terrible customer service, bought a tool from them that broke and would not exchange it for me and said Id have to go through manufacturers warranty. Other home depots are usually very helpful but this location couldnt, Ill be giving my money to Lowes from now on for all my businesses needs

Probably some of the best customer service in any Home Depot that Ive ever visited. Im in here frequently, so the store managers and staff know my family and I on a first name basis. One thing I notice is that there is not a huge turn-over in employees. They must treat their people well...

We purchased a grill and the signs in that department indicated free assembly and delivery on all grill purchases over $399. We chose our grill requested those services and ask to be required to provide a signature upon delivery of the grill. Not only was the grill delivered unassembled, the delivery person(s) did not knock on the door to request a signature, the wrong grill was delivered. We are now required to take the wrong grill back ourselves and then can re-order the correct grill. This location nor the entire corporation offered any assistance to correct these mistakes. I will not give Home Depot any future business. We will repurchase our grill from a more reputable business.

June 7th at 8:30 am, VERY RUDE BLACK CASHIER. If she continues to work as a cashier, we wont shop there anymore. Maybe put her with the Store manager, let him deal with her Nastiness. Better yet, let her load mulch .

Stuff is in the wqy in nearly every si gle aisle. Also, not sure why it is necessary to charge to cut a few boards. What happened to customer service? I never saw anyone other than the check out cashier who spoke to me. Now, I didn’t need anything but it was just crazy disorganized for someone with a baby in a shopping cart. Many things were out of stock. Completely random (blinds and curtains??). Went to Lowes across the street. Much better service all the way around. Much better flowers selection too.

Went inside the Dover DE. store and ordered a top loading dryer and front loading washer with a pedestal for the dryer. Went over the details of what I wanted with a manager. (Spoke extensively about the purchase) Paid about 2k. Order arrives and I get a front loading washer and front loading dryer with a stacking kit. The dryer wasn’t installed at all. After sending back the stacking kit and washer we had to re order those items. When the appliances arrived a second time over a month later they delivered a top loading washer but the pedestal was for the washer and not the dryer. I was told that the the wrong part was ordered again. So we paid about 2k, had to put up with the inconvenience of two wrong orders. Due to each order being incorrect we ended up having to install everything on our own. Not the best service at all. First time a called about the order mix up the manager was not apologetic and stated that she ordered exactly what I wanted. The second time I spoke to a gentleman that stated he would pass the information on to the manager that the order was wrong again. I advised him that I was going to leave this review.

Will never order another appliance from Home Depot ever again. Customer service ended when they charged my credit card. Long story short, appliance was supposed to be delivered. The driver took off with the appliance. We canceled the order and have gotten nothing but a run a round from the local store since. I was told by the local store that my refund was lost in cyberspace . I had to file a dispute with my credit card company. This started on February 16, 2021. Its now March 11, 2021. They have the appliance back in-stock for over a week. NEVER AGAIN!

While the store associates that assisted my mother were nice and helpful, one employee wasnt working at all. I passed her on the way to the restroom and noticed that she was leaning on her cart pretending to work while hiding her cellphone in the kids seat and scrolling through social media. It wasnt just a quick text because she was still there and still on the phone when I walked back by. I have worked in retail management and always made sure my employees were earning their paychecks. This gal clearly wasnt interested in earning her wage. Four stars for the customer service we did receive. Management clearly needs to step up their game.

This location needs more equipment. I had a very bad experience loading heavy paving stones by hand because the store has one or two working forklifts.

Was a long wait for customers service I actually seen a worker said she really dont want to help, and walked off I asked her is there someone to help she said, Im busy helping customers but she came to the register 3 times asking the co worker if she needs help. She never came back to help waited for 20 minutes for other co worker to get off break.

Home Depot is a good store but I seem to have more luck at the other big hardware store in town. I recently purchased some exterior lights at Home Depot and those were good value and are working great. They have a pretty good website as well. And I always appreciate a store that offers a military discount.....thank you Home Depot.

Home Depot is great for their reasonable prices. I became disappointed by the store a few months back when my husband and I went to pick out appliances for my new home. All was well with the purchase until their delivery people decided they would prefer to deliver on their time and not on our scheduled time. We finally received our appliances after three scheduled deliveries. I now only purchase from them what I can take out myself.

Went looking for landscaping stuff and easily found what we needed. They usually have those hardware things we are looking for and their selection of appliances is vast.

Went here looking for a ac window unit. I saw Lowes had theirs out already was hoping to find it cheaper here. Asked an older female associate if they had any. I said I know Lowes has some out. She said well we are not Lowes.. I said your right your not.. Let my cart full of other items. And went to Lowes

They dont honor their prices and we just sat trying to pay for over 30mins because a manager just kept overriding the sale and telling the cashier to adjust it because it was too much off. Such a joke. Their military discount is also only in store but then they wont let you pay for big purchases in store like carpet.i will honestly never go to home depot again, lowes can be more expensive but the customer service is better and they always honor their prices. Dont even get me started on ordering a carpet, even if it says same day installation and they have it in stock they will not do it, They order the carpet from the vendor no matter what. If you need to get new carpet quickly I highly recommend going anywhere else. They dont even contact your properly. Allemails about my carpet have the number to the store, when I call or try to go there they say they have nothing to do with it and we have to call hdms. When you call hdms they say you have to call the installer. No one knows whats happening or how to get the carpet more quickly. Its an absolute nightmare

Went to buy Washer. Gentlemen who helped very nice. Didnt have Home Depot card yet just Acct # cause just approved for card in another store so only had the number that the gentleman gave us & said we could just use this until card comes inKept declining. Citibank which is thru Home Depot said cant purchase cause 1st purchase cannot be made out of state. 🤔 Advised to order online so we left and tried but cant split 2 payments, which needed to do. Called customer service said cant split 2 payments online but go to store & order. Stated what happened & he said so not true. Actual card finally came in went back to store swiped card worked, and ordered & being delivered end of October. Poor communication. Very frustrating. Then just got bill due this month but yet not being delivered till end of October. Nothing like paying for something u havent even recieved yet 🙄

I went to Home Depot to buy a leaf vacuum and although it was not in stock I had a very nice young lady associate to help me order one.i have had some bad experiences lately with store personnel that just dont seem to care about customer service so it was very refreshing to find an employee as helpful as Ashleigh was. I got the feeling she was new, but she did her best to accommodate me.We need more workers like Ashleigh!

Although Ive had several reasons to visit the store and on different occasions had different experiences. From no service, great service, helpful to not so helpful, Thanks Tom and Chino with your assistance on different occasions I was able to comfortably finish 2 of my small projects recently. As far as tool repair, separate occasions, irreggardless of the equipment, in this case two unused but not working so needed to access for repair; If you can’t or it couldn’t be repaired, just leave it at that, remarks that suggest it’s due to the owner is not cool, especially if clearly It’s not the case.

We interacted with one person on the tool section who was very helpful about 5 draw tool chests on sale. However the cashier, another woman working with her as well as Coustomer service person were rude .we wanted a new one for a gift they tried to get us to take the floor model. When we refused that . They gave us a hard time the model was already a scratched up. We were even questioned as to why we didnt want to accept that as a gift. We not return to Dover, DE Home Depot

Went today - Wednesday August 7th at the Dover Home Depot to look for bathroom replacement products - sink, counter, cabinet & faucet. I walked down the paint isle, I got some spackle and saw a finishing sander with a bag. Decided I needed that for when I remodeled my bathroom. Of course like everywhere now you have to ring yourself out and as I did, I asked the girl standing there. . . is there an alarm inside this box of the sander that is going to go off after I walk out? She said I dont know and I dont care.Sad that home Depot pays their employees well and tries to take care of them and makes them part of the company. This girls only job was to stand there and watch people ring themselves out and assist if they needed help. And all I got was a smart alec remark . . . . maybe because I wasnt at millenial like her?? She obviously did not want to be there and she obviously thought she was much better than me to deal with my question. Sad that I had to rate this store three stars just because of one employees attitude as I cashed out. 😣😕

Very good store to purchase but had a bad experience renting a pick up and another bad experience renting a floor carpet cleaning machine. Great store to purchase from, highly suggest never to rent anything period. All renting is timed down to the minute completely designed to appear to be reasonably priced and at the end get a rediculous amount you owe DUE TO CONTRADICTORY EMPLOYEE STATEMENTS. Would you believe i brought the equipment in to return it after 2 days and because there was a problem with it working the employee insisted i keep it 3 days longer to compensate for the trouble. I did and then when i came back a different employee said you should never have been told that and now owe all 7 days, over a simple carpet cleaning machine.

Customer Service sucks. A gentleman from the rental department came to help went out of the way to do so. But the cashiers are rude and not helpful at all.

To many undercover shoppers an not enough help

I took my lawn mower for repair. They had the lawn mower for 2 months, and it still does not work. I would have been better off watching a YouTube video and doing the repair myself.

Store clerk in tool rental was horrible, very slow took 1 hour and 45 minutes to be waited on, I was the 3rd person in line.

This store has terrible customer service, I was on the phone with them, including the manager for 30 minutes and I still dont know how much it cost to rent a lift....I will be renting my equipment somewhere else.
