Went in to grab a new set of blades for my John Deere mower. Was greeted by Mr. Corbit who asked what do you need bud. First off I am a lady and didnt recognize he was speaking to me, he then snaped and do you need anything or not. I told him what model I had and he went and grabbed a set of blades from the back and slammed them on the counter. I understand everyone can have a bad day but found this extremely unacceptable and discouraging to ever do business here again.

Parts department was great theyre knowledgeable and friendly. I expected to pay much more for the part that I needed but pleasantly surprised with the price and it was in stock.

I do not wanna blame the entire parts department. Just the big guy on the end by the service department. Everyone was very helpful and greeted me and my 5 year old daughter with a smile,except for this guy. He definitely has to have roid range by the way he was slamming thing down and cussing in front of a small child. My daughter is scared to return to the store to look at toys because of this man. I didnt catch the guys name but if youve been in dothan sunsouth store your recognize the jacked up m3th head from a mile away. So sad that people like this work with the public. Purchased my first John Deere Tractor. It was a used X380 and am very happy with the entire purchasing experience to include the price. Took a couple of days to get the mower delivered, but that was because the service department wanted to look the mower over first for any warranty work needed and replaced a torn seat for me under warranty. Id also like to thank the sales representative, William Holloman, for his professionalism and keeping me informed through the entire process and just overall making this a excellent purchasing experience. Ill definitely be back for another Deere in the future.

Took three Tractors to Sunsouth they fixed 1. The 4020 they can never fix last month the service guy came out And installed injector pump wrong 2 and 4 cylinder were backwards. Then they filled the tires up with air so when we took the tractor in the field 3 of the tires burst. Zero turn mower was taking so long I picked it up and took it to a shade tree mechanic Sunsouth put a new battery THAT WAS NO GOOD then they couldnt figure out why it didnt work. I swear they came in town ran all the other Indenpent john Deere companys out of business just to do BS like this. Been buying Jd For 60yrs but not anymore just bought a M6 Kubota 110 hp. Sunsouth SUCKS!

Was really disappointed with customer service. My parents were looking for a Gator they didnt have one. Response was we dont know when well have one just call and see. Didnt introduce or offer to take phone number to let them know when one was available

I dont know where to start! I called Sun South 15 minutes before closing on a Friday and spoke with Philip. Even though he was about to close up shop, he spoke to me at length about several tractor packages and answered ALL of my questions. He was incredibly nice and not pushy one bit. I told him I was ready to purchase a tractor combo and he offered to stay after hours to help me out! I highly recommend SunSouth. And to top it off Philip personally delivered my extra implement that I ordered to my house so I would have to come back in to get it!

I was shopping for my 1st tractor ever and could not decide between John Deere or kubota. I went to both places and both of them had good deals. I am about customer service and let me tell Josh Dean was awesome and along with everyone else at SunSouth. I paid a little more for the tractor but I am ok with that because of the service I got as a customer and knowing that if I have a issue everyone at SunSouth will make sure I am taking care of. I would recommend everyone to buy from Josh.

Several employees just dont seem to enjoy serving customers. They need better customer service.

It was supposed to take about a day to change my blades and oil. After 4 days I called and they had lost me in the system. They didnt return my first call so I called again. They told me it would be ready later that day, and theyd call. That didnt happen either and they finally called a day or two later. Nice folks but my business wasnt important to them.Follow up: Ive gotten three phone calls from SunSouth since my initial review. Im bumping them up another star for overall attitude. They better explained the mixup and vowed to do much better next if I just give them a chance. You cant ask for much more from a big company. Nice guys.

My dad Dennis Crooms called here and received a quote for service on our tractor. He received a quote that said $200 minimum and $300 maximum. He took the tractor there and the lady and the man give exact same quote. They called him and said they found hydraulic leak and asked if wanted it repaired for a cost of $800. It was not detrimental to fix now so he said No. Do the service only. When he went to pick it up, he received a bill for $944! They did extra stuff to the tractor, allegedly, and would not allow him to get tractor unless the bill was paid. This was After he told them not to. The shop manager was conveniently in meeting and he could not speak to him. She said she could not do anything and would have shop manager call him when he gets done. He has still not received call! Very dissatisfied!

Disappointed, I went the the business for blades and help, and maybe set up service date. I stood at the counter 20 minutes, was never greeted or recognized as a customer, from the passing employees.The next day i called and spoke to a friendly female, she placed me on hold, she pick back on the phone and kindly told she had no one to help me . I asked if she could recommend someone else to help with lawn tractor. She kindly suggested Abbeville .

5 stars to my salesman randy dean. I’d also like to say this is an edited review. My original review i spoke out against the maintenance/service department for some work i had done on my tractor. I was very unsatisfied and I’ll take half the responsibility for the issue i had with them. But the service manager called me and he is making it all right for me and taking care of the problem i had. So a big thanks to the service manager.

I recently purchased a used John Deere low hour Compact Diesel (44 horse power) from the SunSouth John Deere Dealership located in Dothan, Alabama. SunSouth is a large successful John Deere Dealership with outlets in 3 states (Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi) which speaks to their credibility as a business.I reside in central Indiana. None of the dealerships here had a similar used Compact Diesel available. I became aware of the Compact Diesel through a listing on the Internet. Reluctant to travel to southern Alabama to inspect the tractor because of a recent injury and distance, I relied heavily on Phillip Stough, the listing Sales Representative at the Dothan Dealership for information about the tractor. Phil patiently answered all my questions and provided relevant documentation about the tractor.Since the Dothan Dealership had initially sold the compact diesel to a local customer and the Dealership had maintained the tractor over the years for the customer, Phil was able to provide copies of maintenance performed by the Dealership during the customer’s ownership, thus verifying that the tractor had been properly maintained and hours were as advertised. His actions ultimately earned my trust. I purchased the tractor and Phil had it delivered to me in Central Indiana.The tractor is as described. The engine, hydraulics, electronic controls, hydrostatic transmission and drive train operate like new. I feel like I will get many years of service out of the diesel. I am very pleased with the tractor.I highly recommend Phil for your John Deere equipment needs. He has been a straight up guy throughout the purchasing process.

Terrible customer service and they will screw you into fixing same problem 3 times just to drain money. Fix and add onto bill without customer consent. Stephanie and Tina are the worst - they will hang up the phone on you if you ask questions. Reminds me of a sleazy car mechanic shop. Nasty people really never going there again!! I’d rather buy a new mower

I purchased a very expensive generator on 11-10-2018 and received no battery nor a manual. After countless attempts, I finally received a battery after seven weeks, still no manual. Upon talking with the manager frequently, he promised to get one and when I picked up the battery, he never even acknowledged me. All along this time i was in the need of a smaller tractor to use on the farm(1025R) and was dealt with by the sales department very well. Needless to say, I will not be buying my unit from this dealership nor anything else. Parts people and manager needs to be replaced for any future dealings from me

Absolutely terrific place I wont do business anywhere else in town for lawnmower repairs, very professional staff, and Stephanie in the service department is terrific to work with I would definitely recommend everyone that is in need of lawnmower repair to give Stephanie a call..they do have a pick you and return service..give them a call you wont regret it..

I drive 385 miles to get here. There is a KW 3 miles from where I work. Doses that toll you what me and my wife thank of SUNSOUTH.
