I love Menards, but my experience with staff has been unfavorable in recent visits. I went to purchase a grill. There were no more grills in the boxs under the display (this was a smaller flat grill), so I took the display to the check out along with my other purchases I did seek help, but no one around wanted to help they were too busy talking to one another to notice I needed help even though I took the display down 6 feet away from 3 employees. When I got to the check out I explained the situation, and the cashier called the lead! The lead was rude! She said we dont typically sell displays! I said everything in the store is on display, and asked if I could get a Managers approval to buy the display, and she just walked away from me. Good thing the cashier called a manager and the got a new box from upstairs, but I felt very unappreciated as a customer, but I wanted the grill so I waited. I had the feeling they would of rather me walk put the store without the purchase so they wouldnt have to do thier job. Since I dont live close Ill chose a different store in the future. If anyone reading this has an issue check the cameras I was a very polite customer treated poorly by the staff.

Always a nice place to shop. I get my dog food and detergent from here. I always end up finding something for my home or yard

I normally have good experiences at Menards, but yesterday was different. I was told to drive to the back and pickup a piece of wood I payed for. I was next in line and the worker Jason said to me go find the wood. I was told you would get it and cut it for me. Jason said you get it and I will cut. I couldn’t find it. When I came back to Jason he had gotten a forklift to help this Hispanic guy put a truck full of material in his vehicle. I am an African American. Jason and the guy who’s truck he was loading was Hispanic. I reported this to a store manager. It didn’t appear that anything will be done. I am going to Home Depot.

I ALWAYS find what Im looking for at a great price!! All of the employees are very helpful!!

Went to buy AC unit for window, took a minute to find someone to ask where they were located. Found what I wanted and headed to check out, only 2 lanes open, no surprise since finding people to work is non-existent. Check out went smooth, cashier was very friendly.

Menards is one my favorite places to go for hardware, light fixtures, and a variety of other things. This last time I was looking for a bookcase/cabinet for storage of DVDs/CDs/VHS. Unfortunately, what they had was not quite what I wanted (I have since found online). Still 5 stars Menards because Ive had far more satisfaction than dissatisfaction.

Very clean store. I can always find what I am looking for. However, they are a little bit pricey. Bought a filter for my furnace and it was 20.00. Looked the same filter up on Amazon and I could get 4 in a pack, same filter for the price of the one from Menards.

Rude associates when you ask for help I mean you work here to help customers. Youre better of going somewhere else.

Well stocked, maintained, with extensive lighting, (LED, florescent), contractor, a style of equipment. Excellent parking, prominent customer- service desk. No self checkout.

Never EVER shop or work in this place! The conditions were HORRIBLE!! There were mice droppings everywhere in the pet section. There were ants with wings that fell from the ceiling in electrical during the spring, and you can see that everything had a layer of dust, skin cells, and hair on the items that they want YOU to purchase! I was over-worked and taken advantage of from the managers there that had shady intentions imo. There were multiple times during the time I worked there that people came in with guns or caused a scene that ended in violence! For your own good, please, stay AWAY from this awful store!

Didnt honor shelf pricing on an item. Very disappointed. Its not the customers fault the employees dont price or stock items properly. Manager seemed upset that I was waiting to see if they would honor the price. She was very rude. Sometimes peoples attitudes make you want to go ghetto on them.

My experience shopping at Menards has been positive at the one in Dolton. The associates/salespersons are very helpful. I have shopped at other Menards but this one feels more comfortable. The sales people dont run from you, they actually help! So, that is why this store is my prefer one to shop at.

Menards socks. I will never shop again..if I could I recommend boycott..they discriminate Mexican and Latinos. I try to return some items without prove of purchase..and this Mexican girl didnt acept the Mexican ID..passport and CVDL drivers license..

There kiosk printer gas been out for a coupke of months. They need to have printer to order stuff from yard in front. A hassel to go to rear of store to get ticket, then go to front and pay then go to back yard and load.

It was a horrible experience while being waited on by associate Abby at Guest services she needs to be retrained on how to be professional and sensitivity training. She was very rude and disrespectful talking to the other young lady with red hair at the other register. She got upset with me because she had to enter information that didnt attach to my online order, she didnt even know what she was doing so she had to get her co worker Alysa to come and assist her Thank God Alysa was so pleasant and professional she helped me with my refund for the online order and purchase. Im so happy she changed the way I was feeling about Menards due to the way Abby treated me.

This is my favorite store from merchandise to the customer service is excellent.

Never go to the Menards in Dolton. The customer service was terrible!! We waited an hour for them to tell us we couldnt put items in my truck because it was too large. No real solution to the awful service. Very unprofessional. Got a store credit and went to the one in Merrillville. Much better experience. Nevet again!!
