I thought I needed a whole lot more work done on my car than what it actually needed. He was straight up with me and saved me over a thousand dollars. Im a woman and could have been easily taken advantage of. Will definitely go back. Thank you!

I love Edney Auto and would highly recommend it! They are honest and will find out what the problem is and get you fixed up! As a woman I have found that alot of mechanic places will tell us that things need to be fixed that arent always torn up! You will not have this happen to you here! Chuck and his guys are the best!

If I could give a zero I would. Twice I explained to John, the ticket writer, what was wrong with my car. Twice I explained to him that we knew it was not a fuse as we had checked that. He informed me TWICE that the car could be put on a diagnostic machine and we could find out what was wrong. Took car in and he called me 4 1/2 hours later to tell me that the fuse was good (I already knew that) and that it would be $1012.22 to find out what the problem MIGHT be. Said they thought they knew but not for sure. Was going to charge me 43.90 to tell me the fuse was bad until my HUSBAND (a man) called them and they said no charge for the fuse thing. When I went to pick it up, Jason who had looked at the car said they had to see it to see what it was doing (isnt that what I told JOHN twice?) and that a diagnostic ($80.00 diagnostic) didnt always reveal the problem. Another mechanic at a different place said it definitely should tell the problem. I was treated like I didnt know what I was talking about and talked down to. Plus, I still do not think that what they THINK is the problem ($1012.22 worth) is the issue because its two different things not working and what they think would only solve one problem. I would not recommend them at all, especially if you are a woman.

Short Version: They do work on your vehicle with out calling to ask if you want it done first. Charged me an extra $105 on my bill for a thermostat with out calling me first. A thermostat is about $8. Take two bolts off and slap her in. 5 min job. I will NOT be back or recommend.Edney Auto Service was recommended to me by some family members. Took my truck in last week to find out where my truck was leaking coolant. Had a block test done and come to find out it was a busted radiator. They called and asked me if I wanted a radiator put in it. I had to work twelve hour days at work all week and needed my truck back so I approved the work. Got a call from them later that day stating my truck was finished and the total was $420.00. Seemed a little high for a $100 part and about 3 hours of work but kind of what I expected for choosing the lazy route and not doing it myself. Told them I would be in tomorrow to pick it up (I work from 4pm to 12 am, so I was at work when they called.) They said that was fine and we hung up. Got a call early the next morning from Edney Auto Service, they said that they also had to put a thermostat in my truck because it was stuck closed. My new total was now $525. I had a thermostat for that truck at my house. I didnt need that part nor did I approve the work. I dont see how an 8 dollar part and literally 5 minutes of work added $105 to my total but I took the thermostat I had on hand up there to see if they would at least take the part and a little money off the bill because they did work that I did not approve without calling. They refused. I will not be back to edneys.

Chuck has always done right by us, been very honest and timely.

Travelling through and staying with a friend. Knew I needed some needed front end work. Everywhere else in Dickson needed at least 3 days-to a week to even look at it. Chuck told me on Monday that he would for sure look at it Wednesday if I could drop it off then. I dropped it off at noon Tuesday, and he had it diagnosed, approved, and the work finished by 11:30am Wednesday. Thank you Chuck!

Was very pleased with their service and integrity. Diagnosed and fixed problem as a warranty replacement. Apparently the distributor installed last summer was defective. They even covered the towing bill!

They have been honest and have a great return time.

I was referred by another mechanic. I explained the car was missing around 65 mph I had already changed plugs coil packs both o2 chasing a misfire that I need diagnostics to call me before fixing. They called saying there were two wires that they had buttspliced back together which I did myself already and knew the condition when I dropped it off. Charged $220 2 hrs labor 20 for the buttsplices and drove out of there doing the exact thing its been doing. If they would have test drove it like they claimed they would have clearly seen the issue was still happening. They will take your money.

Strange vibe, but good mechanics.

I called on Sept. 11th for an R/R on some items (thats what I said) He said they wouldnt work on a 77 model. All I need is some oil gaskets replaced as I dont have the proper equipment or I would do it. What kind of mechanic shop wouldnt work on a 77. Really. You suck . I dont want to give this place a star and unable to post unless I do .
