Great service and friendly staff. We had some generator issues with our motorhome and bounced around to different service centers. We paid for tunings, new carburetors, fuel pumps, more tunings, and still the same problems. We were recommended to look into power field services, and I am glad we did. They were able to get us in pretty quick, the same day we called actually. They were very friendly right from the start. I explained all the issues we were having and they took it from there. They were not able to duplicate the issues we were seeing at first, so we picked up our rig but brought it back after the next trip. Immediately they noticed what I was explaining and were able to trace it back to a control board. They explained every process to me and why it was not the things I already paid to replace.Once, they were given the go ahead, the work was completed the same day. The generator has be running smooth, and I have had zero issues with it. I just wish we would have found them sooner. So, if you need work completed, I highly recommend them. They will tell you exactly what the issue is, even if it’s bad news. Their rates are par for other service places, but they know their generators and do good work.
Took my Motor home to Power Field Services for repair on my Onan 4000 genterator, told the Lady upfront what all I checked, nothing worked, she told me what it cost for power fields to check out, 2 hours later mechanic call me told me what he had found, told him to make it run, call me back 2 hours later, Onan running great, bottom line is no matter the cost let the professional repair it, I could have replaced all parts still not worked, one more thing, don’t buy anything of parts because of a cheaper price on line, Genterator runs better than the day I purchase it
Awful experience! Jerry Springer moment! I hope this helps you when you decide where to have your RV generator worked on. I needed to know why my generator wasnt turning over. This company had the RV for over 24 hours when they informed me that they couldnt even look inside the unit without removing it from the RV. That would cost 3 hours labor at $95/hour! My generator is bolted in with 4 bolts. $285 to remove four bolts, the wiring harness and disconnect the fuel line? The Owners daughter was unbelievably rude, loud and obnoxious, telling me that this is just how they do business. I said that I was not going to do business with them any longer and asked for my keys. I mentioned that I would be posting a review for you fine folks to be informed of the way this company does business. The General manager came out and discussed the problems with me. I told him that the behavior of the owners daughter was inappropriate and he agreed to take out the generator for $100 and diagnose the repairs for $100. He said, if it was his RV, he would take out the generator himself. He said, Anyone with a tool bag could take this out. The GM apologized for the misunderstanding and I was going to let the company continue the work. It was then that the owners daughter came out in the parking lot hollering and ranting that she would not be threatened and that they werent doing business with me. The GM said, Thats not your decision to make. Its your mothers! At which point the mother said that she agreed and would not be threatened. I told her that I was not threatening them, but informing them that I would be posting a review. At that point, I retrieved my keys from the GM and elected not to do further business with them. I would advise you to do the same.
The parts department is great. You may not get an answer you want, but you get the truth. This is much better than being told what you want to hear.
Many places say they can fix generators. This place not only fixes generators, but fixes them the right way without guessing. They are not oil change grease monkeys. They are well trained technicians.
Fast friendly service from the beginning to end. Tecnician communicated well and when they realized they went over my preset budget they immediatly reconciled it on the spot. I will definitly be a repeat customerVance
