This Auto Service Center do good work, they back up there work and very professional when I came in to assist me.I like the fact they will let you wait for your car..

No problems this far. Ive been to two different locations, and great service at both. I got an alignment at one location, and at this particular location Im getting two new tires from them along with mounting.

Having a bad experience. Got my truck towed there on Wednesday, said it could carry into Thursday, no call, no answers and when i pulled up to the shop to see why they werent answering there was a handwritten sign on the door saying Temp Close due to Covid Protocols. Many issues with that, 1st why didnt i receive a call about this to let me know my car wouldnt be ready? Or to change the day it would be ready? I had a broken serptine belt, they checked it and quoted me and have my truck locked in the shop, it is now Friday still no answers. I NEED MY TRUCK!

Very busy shop. I went for a tire rotation and the manager refused me the service, after I made an appointment for that service. He wanted to sell me new tires, instead. I didnt want new tires, just rotate the worn ones to the back and the good ones to the front of my front wheel drive vehicle.

I have been a customer since 1990 and have seen a lot of service esk workers and managers come and go! you think when they look up your phone # they see that i have been a customer longer than they have been working- recognize the loyalty of me to this Firestone on Michigan and 11th in Detroit- just saying !

Set an appointment and was a little late. Got serviced and was informed of other possible problems that I need to take care of. Graciously satisfied with the speed, work, and service.

Price gouging. DO NOT RECOMMEND! My service light came on and my car was running rough and misfiring. They were the closest place so I went there to have them check the code. They told me it would be $100 to run the diagnostic. Plenty of places do it for free so immediately that was a red flag. I waited 2 hours for them to tell me its the Ignition Control Module. They said it would be $500 for the part and another $500 for labor. By that time though it was 5:00 and they were closing so I had to wait until the next day before they could work on it. That turned out to be lucky for me. I ended up finding the part for $150 brand new at OReilly and I installed it myself in 15 minutes after watching a you tube video! Their mechanic could have done it in 5. In fairness, the employees were nice enough. They ended up taking $50 off the $100 diagnostic charge and their diagnosis was correct... it fixed the problem. I want to believe the company sets the prices not the employees, but in either case that is too much to up charge on parts and an insulting amount to charge for labor on a five minute fix. This is a perfect example of why people are so wary about trusting mechanics. Shameful.

I will never take my vehicle back to the Firestone on Michigan avenue I took my truck there to get fixed charge me $600 to fix a problem a month later is doing the same thing again I take it back to them they tell me itll be a week before they can get to my vehicle so now I have to be without a vehicle for a whole week do they pay for a rental no they sure as hell should!!!!🤔🤬

They seem very honest here. There were two times I had something hanging off the bottom of my car. I brought it in here and the staff fastened it for me using zip ties. They did not charge me for that twice.Friendly staff.Fairly good wait time!Clean inside. Good waiting good space.I would come again.

As a female Im accustomed to being taken advantage of by auto repair shops. This place is the most honest and fair that Ive been to in a long time. Updating my stars to 5+.

I had an awful experience here. They have absolutely no respect for your time and will keep you waiting for hours. Even if you have an appointment, as I did, they will get to you whenever they feel like it like a doctors office. Save your time and money and go to another tire shop, like Belle Tire or something.

Let me start by saying, the staff I interacted with were super polite, very helpful and appreciated my patience. But. . .My appointment was at 11am. Tires are already mounted and balanced on wheels, I need to have my vehicle lifted on a hoist and have the new wheels put on, thats all.(simple rotation) I arrived before 11am, had trouble finding parking, (this is a busy place evidently) and am still sitting waiting at 1:08pm. I finally left at 1:38pm 2h38mThis may be the single longest 20min service I have ever experienced. I could have easily done this myself, but for the $22. originally quoted. . . I figured Id give some business to a local shop. The young man who cashed me out was sorry for my wait, and I told him he should just let people know, set realistic expectations. To the owner/operator your staff are working hard! Pay them well and hire some more. . . Id gladly come back if I knew my appointment times would be managed better.

I had a rental car through Hertz that I ended up running over something in the road in. The tire immediately went flat and was making a horrible noise. I heard great things about this Firestone location so I drove it right there. Unfortunately, as it was my fault, driving there caused excessive damage to the tire wall and the rim so this location was unable to fix it without having to order a rim. Since it was a rental car, I just had it towed back to Hertz for a replacement. Should I ever need tire repair, or any other service I will definitely be back, as the customer service was fantastic.

Normally I would never pay to have an oil change done on my own vehicle, I have always been able to do it myself without an issue - coming from the daughter of a auto repair shop owner. Everyone was polite, but I needed my rental truck for works’ oil changed. I told the employee when I scheduled the appointment that I had a diesel truck, TWICE. To ensure they had the proper oil. The day of the appointment I walked in, 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment time to check the truck in and I walked out 30 minutes later, where I again mentioned I had a diesel truck, and was quoted 90 minutes to rotate the tires and change the oil. Went to lunch down the street. 1 hour 45 minutes later I come back in and I am told they used the incorrect oil, they had used the oil for the same model truck, but a gas engine - not diesel. So they were changing it again.. they drive the truck in, how could they not tell it was a Diesel truck?? Okay fine, not much longer. Employee comes out again. Now at over 2.5 hours since my original appointment time, and the employee tells me they have completed the job, but when they turned the truck on it was leaking oil at the filter. Meaning they more than likely did not check to make sure the o-ring came off with the old filter and double ringed it and tightened it on. Now both O-rings are bad, and I have to wait another hour to have a new filter delivered from somewhere in the city and more oil (Hopefully the proper diesel oil) put into the truck. Called my rental Fleet truck company and warned them of the invoice they will probably receive from Corktown Firestone, and begged them to never recommend this Firestone to any client.Edit at 3.5 hours: Now I had the front desk employee tell me they used the wrong filter... because they didn’t know it was a diesel truck, again after they had drove it in. so now it’s different stories. Did they put the wrong filter on and start the truck?Any mechanic knows the different between a diesel truck exhaust & a gas truck exhaust. They are getting a new oil filter from Auto Zone, on Vernon HWY. Hopefully it is the proper filter for a diesel.

Try to get over an overcharge the people in the surrounding area

I wouldnt recommend this place if it was the last shop on earth.Dropped off car at 9am for a 2pm appointment. Called shop at 3pm looking for update. Was told by Homer that the car was just getting in and would be done in an hour. Got there at 5pm and the car had never gone back.I dont know if their practice is to openly lie to customers often or if theyre just that incompetentLiterally find any other place to take your car

Jake was knowledgeable and made sure tires were brought to the shop in time and made room for my alignment as well knowing theyd stay past their normal business hours to get everything done right. Ron aligned everything to my specs and car drives great. Big improvement. Much recommend. Thanks guys.

DO NOT TRUST THE GOOGLE REVIEWS AND DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION.At 1 PM, I called to ask about how long it would take to repair a small hole (2-3 mm wide) in the repairable area of my front right passenger tire. The service representative on the phone guaranteed me that I would be out of the store by 3 PM if I came to the store now. I decided to go with Firestone due to the guarantee of speedy service. At the time, fast service was more important to me than the $20 charge for fixing the tire. If the guarantee of fast service wasn’t given, I would have likely went to a nearby competitors like Discount Tire who does it for free. Nonetheless, I went directly to the Firestone store after the phone call. Four hours later, my tire is finally plugged. When I talked to the service representative regarding the wait, he gave dishonest and rude excuses as to why it was taking so long. The response was the same for the two other disgruntled customers with me. Needless to say, I will not be coming back to this location and quite possibly any other Firestone location. This is an extremely disappointing first experience at Firestone and frankly, I am insulted that I will be required to pay $20 for this kind of service.

Took way to long to get a tire fixed

My first time experience here was horrible. They didn’t even speak to me when I came in, and on top of that they made me feel as though I what I was saying was “dumb”. So rude and very horrible when it comes to service. Definitely need more friendly and approachable workers who are genuinely willing to help. They should shut down if they can not find people who sincerely want to help their customers !!! Very disappointed customer. Do better!!!!

I have taken my vehicles to Firestone, mainly for tires. This Firestone in particular is great. The staff is transparent, helpful, and strive to provide great service. My wife and I recently took our vehicle in for a tire issue and the staff went beyond my expectations to ensure we had the right tire and were upfront with what we could expect in terms of time and cost. I appreciate the effort and can honestly say that I will exclusively use this Firestone moving forward. Sal the Manager is a great guy and seems to maintain a positive culture, which is not something I have perceived at other auto care facilities.

Appointment was at 11am. For an oil change. 1 hour for a change. Im sure they probably do good work.

Best auto care spot around Detroit, MI. Frank is very professional and quick. He took care of multiple customers ahead of me in a quick manner. Ken was also very nice and efficient when taking care of the customers. Got me in and out faster than i expected. Highly recommended!!

4 new tires from them in 2016, brand recalled on my tires so they replaced free. But when i get a nail or two, they can’t repair/plug, so they prorated one that I have to buy. What’s the point in having a warranty? 65k miles warrant, and I didn’t even put half on them. Been going here with my last car too (since 2015) . They definitely lost my business. But 3 stars since Mike /Michael was being kind.

I came in 2 weeks ago for an alignment. After the original alignment my car was still pulling right so I went in again. After the second alignment my car was still pulling right and tugging/swaying while driving highway speeds. I got the car into my mechanic and he replaced the ball joints/bearing on the right side, but after bringing the car in twice no one brought this to my attention ultimately making alignment useless because the ball bearing was bad. The manager repeatedly tried to up-sale me on new tires when the problem was in their face the whole time. They were able to get me in to re-check the alignment the 2nd time pretty much without hassle, but the manager specifically treated the situation as though it was something that was likely to be missed (I dont know how when the ball joints are directly connected to the tire rods), and that I just needed new tires to fix the problem when the tires werent an issue before, during, or after me bringing the car in. If you want professional and decent customer service go elsewhere.

This place is a joke I have been going here for years I am unsure what happened but the last 2 visits have been stressing. They scratched my rim then tried to blame me took 5 months to get a check for replacement. Then today I should of gone to a different place but I was like hey it cant happen again... I was wrong the sheer incompetence at this location is astonishing. You are better of going to a mom and pop shop in the hood. Will never come back here again or any of my family.

Been here twice. Scratched my rim replacing a tire....twice. Took a picture of rim before they worked on it a 2nd time to ensure any damage would be identifiable. Did not do anything about it and denied it. Will not be back.

I ran over a razor blade which gave me a flat tire. This Firestone was close to my work so I decided to give them a try. I was very pleasantly surprised at how fast and courteous they were. I will definitely be going back to the store for tires or tire needs in the future.

Worst, sloppiest work I’ve ever seen from a mechanic. The first time I brought my car there, they didn’t properly screw the bottom of the car in that goes under the oil panel, and it fell off on the freeway. The second time I took my car there for an oil change, they accidentally drained my coolant and didn’t do anything about it. Unbelievable. Last night I had them put a spare tire on my car, and they lost 5 of the bolts that are used to keep the inner panel on inside the trunk. This is the sloppiest work I’ve ever seen. So unprofessional.They caused $10,000 worth of damage to a friend’s car as well. Do not go there.

Horrible service every time I’ve been here very disappointing. Made an appointment at 8 am for tires show up they don’t have the tires. Never will return to a firestone the Walmart of auto repair.

Everyone from the front of Firestone Auto Center, to the back, are helpful. Ive been going to this same location for the past 9yrs., because they have always been honest with me. Even when Ive had my doubts, they have put them to rest by being very transparent, and honest. I have a hard time going anywhere else.

Waited days & days to have them look at my tire that was making a noise. I had to reschedule an appointment with them due to a last minute work situation. Told me I had to wait a few more days and leave it over night. They didnt even look or guess what the issue even was. Disappointed at the simple job it ended up being.

Three issues:1. Car interior was greasy and dirty after service. I pointed this out to manager who gave it a cursory wipe. But didnt try hard. Didnt explain why they didnt use paper to keep car clean.2. Poor communication meant that the car sat sat an extra day even though it was done.3. Asked them to look at some water stains on the grill and they said they didnt know what to do about it.Overall a very mediocre and dissapointing experience. Date was 7/29/19.

Brought my car in for new tires about a year ago and recently brought it in for inspection. Ive always been satisfied with the level of service. The customer service has always been excellent! Each employee Ive come in contact with has always been friendly and patient with my questions.

I had an emergency situation this weekend with a flat tire while moving . . . . The guys got me back on the road in short order when it appeared that all hope was lost.Next time I need tires Im buying Firestone because of the effort and service that I received to ensure I could complete my move.

Got a second opinion because after getting my car fixed there the trans is now slipping all of a sudden and the place i had the second opinion at said they charged me almost double what It should have costed. Not to mention I was promised I would have a way to get picked up to get my car fixed. It was the only way. They promised and still left me and still had my car. I had to scramble at the last minute. Totally BAD SERVICE !!!!!!

FIRESTONE IS A RIP OFF.Firestone wanted to charge me $1096 for repairs needed.Took my car somewhere else and they replaced the sway bar links. The repairs cost $109.

I came in at 6:15 PM after the 6 PM close time with a flat tire. My auto insurance did not help me in anyway. Jake and Josh stayed after hours to assist me in getting my tire changed so that I would make it safely home! A thank you just isn’t enough for what these young men did

I love the mechanic Mike he is so generous and kind they are very honest and reliable and they dont waste no time getting your car fixed I recommend this place to everyone especially us women take my word for it also ask for Mike hes great the best

I work across the street and took my car here today for an oil change. I figured it would be done by five when I get off. I had an appointment at 3:30 and saw my car finally being taken back at 4:30. An hour later. An oil change takes about half an hour so fine I’ll still be out on time. It’s now been two hours and it’ll take another 30 minutes. I will never come here again and will never recommend this place to anyone.

This was a sad experience to find out that my car needed a repair more expensive than its worth; however, the employees let me stay an extra half hour while I made arrangements with my friend and were all-around gloriously caring above and beyond to the point where I didnt even mind the excessively loud, gossipy morning talk show. One particular employee talked to my parent on my cell phone when I couldnt remember what specifically was wrong with my car. This Firestone should be very proud of their phenomenal employees.

They have the best price for mounting and balancing a carry-in new tire into a rim- like $13. Most shops charge $20 or more. However they wont perform this if you bring in a used tire for liability reasons.

No stars for this place if I could. I brought my work truck in to get (4) new tires which by the way cost $633.00. Dropped off the vehicle and was told it would be done in 2 hours. I called to check if they were done, 3 hours later and I was told they were about to bring it in within the next 20 minutes. I know they can get behind, but what I didnt like is that I didnt get notified and I was already at a disadvantage by not having my work van, so I told them that I was on my way to pick up the vehicle. When I arrived the attitude was SORRY BOUT THAT just like who cares its only $600.00. I guess they dont care about my business so in turn I dont care about theres. How bout that!!!

Ive been coming to Firestone for for a year, and, each time, I the staff have been professional, thorough, and trustworthy. The waiting area is clean and comfortable, and it has a cable television. My car is my only major asset, and I am sooooo relieved to be able to trust the people who service it!

My son was in Detroit for the weekend and his truck broke down and had to be towed in on a Sunday. It was towed to this Firestone location, and they fixed the problem quickly, were very professional, and charged a reasonable fee. They even let me leave the rental car I drove there (3 hours away) sit in the lot until the rental company could come and pick it up the next day.I cant say enough about how they helped me out in a difficult situation and I recommend them highly.

Had an appointment at 11 am for an oil change. Finally walked out at 11:45 when they hadnt even gotten my car back in the garage.

We were driving across country from NYC to LA and stopped in Detroit. Wanted to get tire tire pressure and fluid levels checked and had a question about some leaking lliquid we saw...these guys checked all that answered our questions and refused payment! So nice! Thanks Motor City!!!

I find myself waiting longer and longer here for services on a fleet vehicle its taken them 3 hours to plug a tire and the previous visit it took 8 hours for a oil change dont waste your day look else where.

Google maps dont have an option to give 4.5 star. that 0.5 star the Firestone not getting is for their labor costs for mechanical stuff. When you buy a used vehicle, you should go to this place and do the inspection that priced for $10 with the online coupon. Because it is worth.

Great guys, fast service and you can always find coupons online for various services. They dont try to push unnecessary services on you and really do a great job. You can also schedule appointments online.

Great group helped me out after a blowout from our wonderful roads.

Got my oil changed here. Left with a horrible burning smell in my car. Pulled over to check it out and they had spilled oil all over the oil fill port. Hopefully my car will air out soon. Wont be returning to Firestone.

I always go there to change oil. The customer service is good. It has a TV and free wifi to use. But one shortcoming is the waiting hall smells like a tire storage room.

Thankful for the lifetime alignment and lifetime warranty on most parts, but the small details that bring great customer service have been overlooked since Tim (former manager) left.

They use Pennzoil first of all. Bad for your car and they argued with me when I asked if they had other options, because I am choosing not to use Pennzoil. Their website says Quaker state and when I asked about it the mechanic came up and barked in my face that they are the same company. Ok, then it should be no problem to use Quaker state right? No. They wont do it. Wow. Pennzoil uses fillers and is garbage, I would like their better oil: Quaker state. Thanks Firestone for not only letting me down, but being very rude at my inquiry.
