Fantastic service! I called in the morning about my old Heil furnace not working and they were able to come out within a couple of hours. They even had the part in the van! Had it up and running within an hour. Very friendly and helpful. Will definitely use them again!

Our air conditioning didnt start up this spring, so I called Metro. They were able to schedule a visit pretty quickly and the technician was on time. Luckily the issue wasnt major and the system is working again. Great work!

The maintenance person does an outstanding job of examining and notifying us of any issues. He has been with us for several years and doesn’t try to “ sell “ things we don’t need... so if he says we need something we always take his advice... Metro is the best we recommend them to all of our friends.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. My gas fireplace would run for 6 to 9 minutes then would go out. Came in and hooked equipment up seen voltage coming in and gave it a good cleaning inside and voltage improved, cleaned the glass all up. Showed me how to assemble and disassemble to clean the glass. After educating me time had passed and all seemed to be working well. Service man was Paul

Metro heating and cooling provided service in a timely manner but charged extraordinary fees for a simple repair. What I felt was a simple less then an hour fix turned into a substantial bill. If I would have know how much they were charging I would have just replaced the whole furnace.No one gave me any indication of cost before performing the repair. They just did the job said pay up.Will never use them again and will tell everyone the same.

Called at 8am. Phone service helpful and friendly. Service technician was here and gone by 10am, I was up and running again. I think that was pretty quick service. Final bill received by text was easy to pay online and $30 less than ballpark estimate the technician gave me. All questions answered to my satisfaction. Everyone was friendly, helpful and they all made me feel like my issue mattered. Enjoyed a phone chat with Travis afterwards. I do recommend and will use them again for furnace or A/C issues.

Was on the look for a new HVAC company to service 9 units for my business and three houses. They were out right a way, Less than an hour found the problem and had it repaired. I will be making them my main company for repairs and update to all of my HVAC needs. 6/15/21 Needed a AC unit fixed, Hottest week, fully booked, but had a cancellation. Metro had it up and going in under one hour. Could not ask for or get better service!!

We have been very disappointed with the service and lack of customer service from Metro Heating and Cooling. My power bills have quadrupled since April when I switched my Carrier Infinity from heat to AC. Metro has been here at least 8 times. The power usage is directly linked to the Carrier unit and nothing else in my home. They installed a new thermostat on Thursday when we were not home, no phone call to let me know it was done, no follow up as promised. My Furnace is now using almost 9 times the energy it should be to run. I have called and been promised a call back but no one returns my calls. This has cost me over $2000 in extra power bills above what I normally pay so far this year. The Carrier company will not do anything to help the situation. They can not figure out how to fix the problem so they just leave me with outrageous power bills to pay.I would also add this unit was designed and installed by Metro Heating and Cooling in our new home in 2017. It ran great for 3 years, it is supposed to be an energy efficient unit but it no longer is and they can not fix it. I have been calling them since June now the end of November still not resolved.Update: they just informed me today because I placed this review they feel I do not appreciate their work so they are walking away from a faulty working Carrier Infinity that they installed. They told me to call the Carrier company myself to get it fixed. Later in the conversation I was also told that Carrier does not even agree that there is a problem. So an energy efficient Carrier Infinity is supposed to all of a sudden start using 9 times the energy that it used for 3 years and there is not a problem. They have one person communicating with Carrier, a second person being sent to my home to do the repairs and a third person that calls me to tell me they can not fix it and they will no longer waste their time and money to fix the Carrier Infinity that they installed 3 years ago! So very disappointed in the outcome of this situation. Now I have to take time away from my family run business to spend at home to call a company that closes at 4pm central time.

I have nothing but good things to say about Metro Heating and Cooling!! Tyler has been coming to my house twice a year for years and I look forward to seeing him! Hes so nice and so sweet in addition to providing excellent service!! I also had them look at my duct work in two rooms and Tom came personally to inspect and oversee the work - huge difference in the heating and cooling of both rooms and very reasonably priced! Love these guys!!

I would not recommend metro to any one and I never will last fall we had metro come service our furnace he was here about a half hour. Then right after Christmas 2019 we had no heat so I called metro they came and replaced a part 2 days later the heat was not working again so we called them back and in the process of trying to fix it the repairman shorted out the board we ended up replacing the board and then the repairman cleaned the burners said they were dirty and that is why it was not working. Cleaning the burners should have been done in the fall when I had the service done. It cost me 4 or 5 hundred last winter when it should have been done in the service in the fall. Here is the clinker the fan on the AC would not come on when tried to use so we called another co to come look at it guess what when metro replaced the board they wired it wrong cost me more money for their their repairmen had no idea what he was doing I feel like metro owes me about 500 or more which I wont get but I will tell everyone I know about my experience with them.

I called a friend in the HVAC industry and he referred me to Metro Heating and Cooling as he wasn’t going to have the time to get out here soon. We originally called due to having some water overflow into our living space from the furnace, but also decided to have maintenance done while they were here. They got us scheduled the next day. The serviceman (Paul) was able to show up earlier than we were quoted, which was nice. Paul showed me what caused our issue and cleaned all that gunk out, then proceeded with the maintenance. After the maintenance was complete he went above and beyond and fixed something that had drove me nuts since we moved in. He extended the drainage pipe to actually go all the way to the drain( 1 1/2 ft) at no charge. It’s the little things like that will make me a loyal customer! Thank you! - Jason B

Our experience was very courteous and friendly. The Repair Person was very adamant about being as fundamental and understandable as possible when explaining what was wrong with our system and how he could go about fixing it up without it costing too much for us to pay.He is a very busy person with lots of customers, yet too the time with us with all of our problems. I would highly recommend this service and this particular Repair person in particular.

Called to set up an appointment and from start to finish they were quick, courteous and utmost professional. They were able to work me into the schedule quickly, as well as diagnose my A/C problem, and get it fixed the same day while giving me options and the best course of action to take! I called to have a furnace check for the season. They got me in quickly and I was very pleased with the service. I believe that Paul completed the most complete service our furnace has ever had. I had a 10-yr old central AC unit that seemed to be failing, had another major HVAC contractor perform free diagnostic and tell me that a thorough diagnostic to actually identify the problem would be $250 and that likely repairs could range from $1500 to $2500, around half the cost of replacement with a new AC unit. Based on that assessment, I had that company and three others provide me with quotes on replacing AC only or entire HVAC system including furnace. Costs ranged from $4,000 for new AC to as high as $11,000 for entire new system. No one else tried to diagnose problem with my current AC unit, they only priced replacement. I had Metro Heating & Cooling on my list and so called them; owner Joe Tollari inspected my system and told me it was unlikely that replacement was necessary as it didnt have telltale signs of failures others had suggested were happening. Joe said he would quote new system but recommended having a $99 diagnostic done by service tech, and told me he thought necessary repairs might cost as little as $500. We arranged that for the next day, and sure enough the problem was one component -- a faulty expansion valve that cost less than $600 to replace. I had a few other issues fixed and signed up for a years service agreement, with total still under $1000 for everything. Really thankful I didnt have to spend thousands on an unnecessary replacement; when the system does need replacement Metro will be my first and likely only call.

Perfect service and attention to detail! Furnace went out and Metro came the same morning. Even though Carrier did not have the part right away they made multiple trips to bring space heaters to get is by until the furnace could be fixed the next morning. This is the only Heating and Cooling company I will use in the Des Moines area.

I just got service form Metro Heating and Cooling. They had the earliest appointment available. I had Taylor take a look at my AC unit quickly diagnosed a bad motor on my outside unit. Gave me the price I agreed and he replaced it.He was awesome very easy going and made quick work of the task.Payment was simple with a CC . and we are not back and running. A friend referred me to Metro Heating & Cooling after they did some work for them. I had some issues with the heat in my house and I needed to get my furnace repaired. Metro ended up fixing everything and resolving all my concerns so well that I ended up calling them back when my AC quit on me during the hottest week of the summer. In desperate need of finding a trustworthy HVAC company to provide technical service to the electronic parts of our zone system for our units, I had to call on past connections to find recommendations for a trustworthy company that was current in these areas of expertise. Joe at Metro was highly recommended.A major challenge was our location, a farm 60 miles from larger cities where youd have better ability to locate a knowledgeable. At the end of the day Joe returned my call. I found he was totally booked up and an out of town trip for triage and repair really was not in cards at this time. BUT he didnt leave me hanging. Over the phone he began assessing the issue, giving me much needed insight as to what I was dealing with. He allowed me to take photos and text them to him. In doing so I was now connecting with how this system worked and that I may not need to replace everything. That took the sting out of this process. As he was asking questions and telling me what to look for it allowed me to gain a very important level of confidence that their are good people out there. He could have just said lady youre on your own. Because of him I was able to know a bit better what I needed and ask for. I found a service person 25 miles closer to home. For Joes willingness to be sure I was going to be okay I rate him 5 stars as to take the time from his busy schedule to put forth the extra time to assist eventho the likely hood of doing business was zero says volumes to me about this companies integrity worthiness to have a job well done.
