I typically go to Hobby Lobby when I need something specific related to one of my art mediums, usually a specific color of yarn. Lately I have noticed that the yarn selection is dwindling and am not certain if it’s just this region or if it’s company-wide. Other than not having the yarns I have needed sometimes, have always had a good shopping experience. I would consider a higher rating if a “family restroom” was installed somewhere near the front of the store. I am diabetic and have often had to play bathroom chicken to get to the restroom at the back, but that’s just a personal thing. Bring a wider selection of yarns and colors back!

Love shopping there trying to find great craft ideas and things to buy was buying flowers for a wedding found exactly what I wanted

Would not recommend shopping here if you are younger & pay in cash. They will accuse you of using counterfeit bills (which I later went to the bank to verify that it was genuine) & they also forget to take sensors off & make you set off the alarm to get searched again in front of everyone to see.

I wish this store was cheaper lol, I find it hard to not leave without spending a min of $100 easy. If you come here and cant find something you like something is wrong with you 😂.

I love Hobby Lobby. Model rocketry is my primary hobby and they have the best selection and prices. I only wish they carried some higher powered models. I also make Christmas ornaments and buy all my supplies there.

Hard to get the product that is locked up due to all the theft. Everything is way overpriced unless you bring a coupon. Then price is same as everywhere else. Just standardized your prices please. Wonderful employees .

Such a hidden gem on the Southside of Des Moines. Pleasantly set just off a busy area so its not at all out of the way, but quiet enough for enjoying art. Took a group of HS students for their photography field trip.

Hobby Lobby has something for everyone. The staff is very friendly and are always there to help. They have such a vast variety of home goods.They have a different sale each week with at least 40 percent off of certain items but its usually 50 percent off. I have bought things for me and bought lots of items for birthdays and christmas presents. I could spend hours in there. I so love that place. They have a lot of different locations and one of them is only 3 minutes drive time from my house.....

This store has everything, fabric, decor, crafts, you name it they have it, absolutely love this place. Service is pretty decent as well.

Had an awesome trip to hobby lobby had to return a die set that was to big for my machine they were great about it to to my excitement I discovered all scrapbooking things from The paper studio was all 50 percent off great time to get paper ECT Ive been wanting a cutter for so long boy did I score a great deal on 1 today 160 paper pages 6 dollars cutting tool 6 dollars with the great sale prices I love hobby lobby

I used to work here and although it was boring the job itself didnt suck. On thing to look for is the sales. You can always get a 40 percent off coupon to use on any item that is not already on sale. If you like to paint I started using the masters touch paint which works pretty good and is on salf for half off about every 2 or 3 weeks.

This store carries a lot of its that other craft stores do not. Inu case, I go here to buy good brushes for painting hobby miniatures that arent super expensive. While other stores carry brushes that are the se size, only the Hobby Lobby has ones that are high quality enough to last very long.I dont go here for much else because of the chains tendency to use religion to justify some pretty terrible policies, however, which is a shame given the variety of items they carry.

There is literally anything and everything you need to do indoor and outdoor decor absolutely recommend and hopefully you have lots of money cause its very easy to over spend cause there is so much to buy love this place.

I’m pregnant and was shopping today when I almost passed out and had to sit on the floor. One employee brought me a chair and a water and then another employee (possibly a manager) brought me a wheelchair so I didn’t have to walk back through the store. I was asked by multiple employees if I was ok or if I needed anything and I could tell that they really care for their customers. I will definitely be coming back to this location.

Im not happy with the $225 framing job they did on my mothers 1970 Psychedelic Poster.It isnt centered! Their only offer was to cut the poster to fit into mat and frame. ( They both were special order items)I dont understand why they didnt call me prior to framing! Besides, I have never had to request anything Ive had framed in the past to be centered!

This is a great place to shop for items for your home. People there are very friendly and helpful. Great place to have framing done. The check out time can be a little long. Something I notice is items are not bar coded so I assume this is what slows down checking out. Not sure how they can keep track of inventory for automated reordering in this day and age! They might want to work on automating check out in the future.

My wife loves hobby lobby. I think its ok. Buying furniture from a place like this is silly. Its super cheap materials at a huge markup. The best thing i think they have going on is some of the decor. And its one of the best places to buy model kits

Ive loved hobbity-lobbity since they opened in Iowa! I worked at the MHR and I wouldve stayed had management been better. Even though the manager wasnt good, everyone else there was amazing!

Art and stuff can be quite pricey, Hobby Lobby tends to have a lot of deals and discounts. However, the deals and discounts can be obscured/hidden (likely unintentionally). Otherwise than that, Hobby Lobby is one of my main stores for art supplies whenever I need canvases, mediums, or other things. They also have a lot of extra things outside the scope of art such as decor, flowers and fabrics.

Honored my return with instore credit very easily. :)

Always find fun and interesting things at Hobby Lobby! Just beware of the 50% off sales. 50% off an over inflated base price isnt really much of a sale. As with everything, KNOW what things sell for elsewhere as well, and you will be fine.

They were out of everything that I was looking for... Tie dye items and kite string. The employees were NOT helpful in the least and had ZERO clue for what I was even talking about (kite string... Like they had never heard of it!)...they were just down right dumb!

This store is way too cool. Many many very cool items for decorating your home to craft projects! Be sure to use the 40% off coupon supplied on the website. Every time we go we always find new items. All the employees are very polite and courteous also. This is a must stop store.

If you have any need fore anything Craftesque, this is your place. They have almost everything, you could need fore most projects.

Whenever I have a random craft need, I always come to this Hobby Lobby. - which ends up being at least once every other week. Prices are always reasonable and there are always an abundant amount of displays to get the creative juices flowing. I am a pastry chef by trade, and am always doing something random and creative. I am always able to find what I need for gift boxes and filler, fake cake displays (foam cake rounds, stands, and flowers), wooden dowels for cake support, in addition to all of the pastry related items like food colors, edible glitter and sprinkles, cake rounds, pans, etc. Im sure I will be back for non-work related items, but for my work needs, this place is wonderful.

I love Hobby Lobby, but today I went there for craft paints and they only had a very slim variety (of the cheep all purpose paints). But I chose from what they had... Ill be back!

Hobby Lobby is always a pleasure. The customer service cant be beat and the sales make everything affordable. The selection is second to none, Ive never had an issue finding what I needed!

Arrived at your location to discover you closed at 8pm. A man, I assume the store manager was very rude when I mentioned I thought they were open until 9. He let me know they closed everyday at 8 and were closed on Sundays. I told him I was almost certain the Florida Hobby Lobby stayed open until 9....he cut me off mid sentence to say ALL Hobby Lobby stores close at 8. I realize you want to get home to your family but a little courtesy goes a long way, kindness would have worked much better for me....Im fine with your closing time but not your method of speaking to customers
