I enjoyed Mars Coffee before in this location, but since it has switched over to Daisy Chain Coffee, I have found that I love this shop even more. This coffee shop is run by the nicest guy and the shop itself seems to have so much more character & charm; I completely enjoy the bee and honey theme throughout the shop. In addition to your caffeinated beverage of choice, you can also snag coffee beans, chocolate bars, danishes, and local honey.

Excellent prepared espresso, quality beans. Unique concept with honey from his own bee hives, candles, drinks made with honey, etc. Very friendly, cool area, worth a stop on our road trip!

I went here today and got a lavender matcha latte with oat milk and it was delicious! I noticed quite a few cows milk and non-dairy options for latte as well a multiple flavor syrups. Service was prompt and polite, he kept the long line moving at a good pace. I would definitely recommend to a friend. He also said that if you bring your own reusable mug/cup he is happy to fill that for you!

Traveling through town and wanted to get some good coffee. We looked up the best coffee in town and this place came up, so we gave it a shot. It was fantastic. My mocha was perfect, as it was a great balance between the espresso and chocolate flavors. The owner was super cool and very conversational, and made us feel like regulars. I definitely recommend this place.

Quickly becoming my go-to for great tasting coffee in Downtown Des Moines. I love to get iced espresso drinks here. They are full flavored yet smooth with natural sweetness and without bitterness. My orders are very consistent each time I go and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend.

Barista is super friendly… he let me in 20 minutes after their closing time and still made a coffee !Obviously the coffee is really good too !

Traveling from Utah and wanted to try a local coffee shop. This place lives up to its great ratings. My breve is amazing and the service was excellent. Will absolutely be stopping back in next time we’re traveling through.

After a few days without high quality coffee it was a joy to find this shop. There may be other good coffee shops in the area, but Java Joes had great reviews and that place was awful. Next time Im in the area Daisy Chain will be the place I get coffee.

Love love love Daisy Chain! Recently switched over from Mars to Daisy chain I honestly love the feeling and aesthetic much more! Daniel the owner is amazing and super cheery guy to talk to! Small quaint environmental. I think this has one of my favorite lattes in town and thats tough cause Im picky with coffee. He has his own bee farm and uses his own local honey in his products. I follow them on Instagram and they have awesome engagement. 10/10 would recommend.

Good coffee, super loud place though. Did some work and took a call here, and while the WiFi was strong (40+ Mbps) and the lighting was great, I wouldnt necessarily recommend it if you need a quiet place to focus.

We stoped in and ordered a cup of house drip and americano, the flavor was intense and so flavorful at so many different levels. We were in town from Chicago and I would rate this coffee as some of the best we have had it would be my go to coffee shop if close to home. Cute shop close to the capital building worth a stop if your in the area.

Dan is the pioneer for specialty coffee in Iowa. He brought a previous company a long way by himself and is now doing it for himself. Great conversation every time. In recent years he has become a beekeeper and his honey is killer! Don’t sleep on the honey lemonade!
