My experience with this store was beyond outstanding! Karl (I believe the owner) took first class care of me. He took 3D images of my feet and explained my situation so I could understand. He brought out three pairs of shoes that he thought would meet my needs and explained the difference between each. I left with the most comfortable pair of shoes I think I have ever owned. Thoroughly satisfied with Fleet Feet and I highly recommend!

This has been the best place that I have bought running shoes from. I have been an avid runner for about 4 years now. And have bought 6 pairs of running shoes prior to this. Each time I would go to a running store and get fitted for the correct shoe. But the staff here at Fleet Feet was by far the most knowledgeable. Kevan was the name of the gentleman who helps us, and he was very thorough in listening to what worked for shoes for me in the past and what didnt. After trying on around 6 pairs and even getting to run in them a bit, I left with the best fitting shoes I have ever had. He also took the time to size up the inserts to make a custom fit for my feet in my new shoes.When you run marathon long distances, foot comfort is well worth the investment in my opinion.And Fleet Feet offers several different running get together to help you meet other runners in the area.I will certainly ly be coming back when Im ready for my next pair 😀

Great staff! They actually measure your feet! I dont run but I walk alot and didnt want to spend 200 dollars on a pair of shoes! Fleet Feet had 3 styles for me to choose from, all under 125 bucks! Yes, they are a little more but dont you pay more for better products that you love everyday?! Food? That phone you had to have? The way a carhart coat keeps you warmer? The Cadillac over the Buick? Ill be back because shoe have become very important in my.....advanced years.

We visited the Des Moines store to do an analysis to find which shoes were best for our teen, who will be running cross country and track this year. The owner was the one who helped us and he was very helpful and kind and went above and beyond in every way imaginable. He even added money to our parking meter as our daughter took longer than we expected and we were out of quarters! It took her nearly two hours and he never pushed or rushed us despite getting busier. (There were other workers providing personalized care as well.) He explained the analysis results to us and helped us understand which shoes would be good for her and took time to ask questions and listen to what our daughter wanted in her shoes as well. Our daughter was able to test out the shoes outside. She narrowed it didn’t to two, but she was a little uncertain about her choice. He informed us that she could return them if she decided they weren’t a good fit after all later on. All of this is the kind of personalized service you don’t get in a big box store. My daughter has ran in them twice already and loved them! We are thankful to have this store in the area! Our younger kids are excited to do one of their ice cream runs as well!

It was an amazing experience start to finish. Definitely felt like a valued costumer and they really took the time to find the shoe that was right for me. Id been struggling with ankle and knee pain and swelling after 12 hour nursing shifts. And my pain is nearly completely gone since Ive gotten these new shoes. I mean...miracle workers much? I am eternally grateful and fully intend to buy all my shoes for work from this location for the rest of my nurse career.

I would highly recommend Fleet Feet if you’re a novice runner or decide you want to start running. They sit you down, scan your feet, and get you set up with the best possible running shoe for your specific foot type and lower body structure. It is a little pricey, but so worth it for the amazing customer service and great product. If you’re used to running in normal athletic shoes you’re missing out. These shoes are game changing when it comes to running. Ask for Karl. He’s the most knowledgeable person I’ve ever met when it comes to long distant running, and he’s very helpful and kind.

A co-worker recommended this place because I always get shin splints when I run. I went in-it was a great experience. Left with a pair of shoes that I liked. Sadly I had to bring them back several weeks later as I was still getting shin splints. No problem!-they swapped them out at no extra charge even though the new ones were a bit higher in price. No questions asked. This will be my new place for running shoes! Great customer service!!

I had a wonderful first visit to Fleet Feet last week! I own a pet sitting business and was looking for quality shoes for dog walking. My experience at the store was phenomenal!! The owner, Andy, personally greeted me just outside the store. Once inside, the salesman who assisted me was incredibly helpful and a pleasure to visit with. He scanned my feet (sanitized the scanner prior) and took the time to review my results (high arch etc.) He brought out several great selections. It was SO NICE not to feel rushed or like a bother which I often feel like by the overwhelmed staff in other stores when shoe shopping. In the end, I found an excellent pair of shoes. The color I wanted had to be ordered and was shipped directly to my door within 48 hrs! I earned $15 in rewards good towards my next purchase as well. Happy to report I will be a repeat customer for life at Fleet Feet!

One of the best shopping experiences I have ever had!This is an amazing group of people! We were visiting in Des Moines and had just ridden bikes across downtown, we were a sweaty mess and happened to walk by Fleet Feet. Both of us being runners we decided to stick our heads in for a quick look around. We were greeted by the owner Andy who immediately offered us cold bottles of water and even brought us towels to dry off with! The store is bright and well stocked with all manner of running gear. We both got our feet laser scanned and learned things about our feet we never knew, what cool technology. Andy showed us some great shoes based on our results and we left with two new pairs. Fleet Feet is a gem in the retail world and if you live in the Des Moines area and are a runner you owe it to yourself to give them a visit!

The Services is outstanding. I brought my 10 year old son in to get a good pair of running shoes. He has started running more in the past year and was going to be competing in a 6hr endurance race. The staff made him feel great. We were able to get a shoe that fits his foot well. He was so excited and told everyone about his new shoes. There was a great selection of shoes and other running gear that we needed. I would recommend anyone to go there young or old they have something for experienced runners down to just people like me who just like to walk.

Ive visited this store multiple times and am never disappointed as customer service is top notch. The employees listen and ask probing questions to ensure your specific foot need is met, hopefully the first time. If for whatever unforeseen reason you dont grow to love your shoe purchase, you are more then welcomed to bring them back with no fee and pick up a new pair, or get a full refund.At my most recent experience I had two associates spend nearly a half hour getting no tie shoe laces into my new shoes. Now you might think it is crazy to spend that long to put shoelaces in, but there was a dilemma that they were able to solve. The shoes I was buying had smaller than usual eyelets that were much smaller than the aiglets on the new laces. Through ingenuity, strength, patience, and time, the associates were successful in getting the laces in. The solution was to cut off the aiglets (need to be cut anyways with these laces after you fit them) and tape the ends to ultimately make it small enough to fit. The taped ends were still at the cusp of being too big for the eyelets, but the two employees took great care to get them through without damaging/enlarging the shoe eyelets.I very much appreciate the service I receive at Fleet Feet and will definitely be back when I have a shoe/foot need again.

The shoes I bought are amazing, as well as the insoles. I am so glad Karl suggested them and had me try them out. The customer service I received was exceptional! You guys stayed later since I got there so late. Both Karl and Andy had amazing attitudes (even though I arrived at closing time). I didnt feel rushed at all and I left happier than I came in.

Best shoes for humans who like to use their body the right way. We all too often are shifting, twisting, and creating issues with bodies. The super scanner helps see what is going on and how you can correct it. The staff at this store know what they are talking about, they do their research and understand the scanner and how it relates to your shoes. Blake helped me find shoes I love. My cross-fit shoes are changing my body stance and posture so my hips are more aligned and all my muscles are working so well together! I walk with more strength and have more stamina since buying my shoes. I also purchased a pair of recovery sandals that I love for lounging about and they are nice enough to wear to work. So do yourself a favor and get some shoes here. You will be satisfied with the outcome.
