I bought a Prius from Bobby as my first car purchase. I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Reliable Motors and my car. My husband bought a Cruze not to long ago but we later had some unseeable troubles with it. Bobby has been nothing but amazing through the whole process. When Car Max told us we’d need a new engine Reliable Motors just replaced a part. They have always been extremely honest and ready to help us through it all.

I had an extremely unreliable, unsafe vehicle, a small child, not great credit, and not a lot of money. And as series of unfortunate events are wont to do, mine continued to proliferate, yet these guys did not give up on me and continued to work with me until they were able to get me into a decent vehicle I could afford and rely on. As a result, I was also in the office frequently and met most of the staff. A more pleasant, helpful bunch of people I could not hope to meet. I was just in today with a minor concern, and they addressed it immediately, without making me wait, and it was awesome. They also offered me a bottle of water on a hot day & asked if I wanted it cold or room temperature. As I hate cold water, this tiny, nonsensical detail was enough to make me a customer for life. My brother referred me to them in good faith, and I would 10/10 recommend them to any friends or family in the market for car.

One of the most friendly and outgoing dealerships I’ve ever personally been too, takes their time makes you feel like they value your business. After I bought my car I did have a check engine light come on within the next two weeks!! I called Bobby right up and he told me “come right over, and we’ll look at it” and he had his mechanic check it out, it was light going out. That they changed, for me and on my way I went! He told me to come back if I had any other questions or if I needed anything, that he was there to help me! It was a great experience and I’d definitely recommend them.

As a pessimist concerning used car dealerships I am more than happy to say that I have purchased a vehicle here and I love it. Nathan, Bob, and staff are good people who will go the extra mile to make sure you are taken care of and taken care of well.

I’ve been suv shopping since mid April. Have went to several different car lots. Some were only interested in selling me a vehicle, and some offered no help at all. I stopped at Reliable Motors after seeing a suv they had advertised on Marketplace which was what i had been searching for. I was greeted by their sales associate Nathan who is very friendly and knowledgeable. Nathan didn’t try to pressure me into buying anything at all. I left to think about it for a day or so. I got sick that night and wasn’t able to go bk right away. Bobby the owner called me just to thank me for stopping by and giving them the opportunity to help me. I was impressed by both Nathan and Bobby. I felt they were both just trying to help me find what I wanted, I felt they was very helpful and honest. After couple weeks I felt better and decided to go bk to Reliable Motors because I felt they were the most honest out of all the car lots I had visited. I asked Nathan if I could just test drive couple different suvs so I could make sure I was making the right decision, I also asked several different questions and he was very friendly about answering all my question and letting drive a the different suvs. After that I decided on the Ford Explorer Limited which I was interested in from the beginning but just wanted to make sure it was still what I wanted. I asked if they could help me with some financing? Once again they was eager to help in any way they could. I knew getting me financed with a bank or credit Union was gonna nearly impossible. After a few phone calls back and forth with Bobby the owner and Nathan the sales associate they were able to get me financed with a credit Union with the payment I asked for. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Reliable Motors on NE 14th St. DesMoines. Very honest, friendly and knowledgeable men!!

Not very professional, wouldnt even write me up a temporary plate, paid all up front, he said you dont get 30 day tags when you pay all up front, thats a lie, getting the title takes forever, they dont even have them ready to give you even if you pay cash, what a joke

Bobby was very helpful, friendly, seemed very honest, and did not rush the sale. The car had a minor problem which required labor and parts. They made good on fixing the problem. The car was detailed as well. I would recommend this company.

We were looking for a vehicle for my son. We needed one that was reliable and affordable. He found what he wanted at Reliable Motors so we drove up to take a look. They were so friendly and helpful!! We took it for a drive and found a few things wrong with it. They immediately (by the time we left the parking lot) pulled it in and started looking at it. They called us the next day and told us they were fixing the things that we were concerned about! Tested a few cars and wound up loving a Grand Prix, put a sub in on the first day with it and the next day it died. Called the store and they had me jump it and bring it in and they found the problem was a broken battery clamp no fingers pointed at the sub but eh whatever it was they fixed it without it being a hassle. 10/10 Very nice guy and really helpful staff. Easily best little shop in the Desmoines area.

We bought a Jeep Cherokee Latitude from them 3 weeks ago. They called and said there is recall and bring it in to be fixed. Almost 2 weeks of no car. It still is not done. With it being our only vehicle they did not offer a car until it was done. We put a substantial down payment on it. Now to find another Jeep somewhere else.

First of all they sold me a car that I Ive had nothing but problems with and has broken down on me three times now I called them to bring my car in and they told me they had other cars up on the left and they could not take them down to put oil in my car so that way I could drive it home after work another time I came in and they told me my warranty that they sold me would not cover what I needed done and they did the work anyways without telling me beforehand and then said they were only going to charge me parts and not labor the mechanic told me how much the parts were and the lady in the office told me a completely different price which was three times the amount with the mechanic told me I was in told I basically had no choice but to pay or not get my car even though they should have told me my warranty wouldnt cover it and how much it was going to be before they did the work since I was under the impression that the warranty that they sold me that has yet to cover anything would not be covering these repairs either
