Beckleys was not only able to gave me an appointment the day after I called but had a shuttle to take me where I needed to go. The reasonable price made me grateful. An added bonus? The professionalism of all 3 men working behind the desk.

They are the best! They provide the best consulting.My BMW X3 had the engine check light on and was on the limp mode. Jon and Chad figured out that the problem is with the timing chain and it needed replacement. It would cost me an arm and a leg. They searched online and found out that there is a recall from the company for the timing chain fault. It saved my butt! I really appreciate what they did. They put the costumers benefit ahead their owns. Highly recommended

Being relatively new to the area with a vehicle that doesn’t have a dealership/service garage in town I couldn’t be happier that I came across the guys at Beckley. They were honest on the phone about what they were able to do and the limits of their service to my vehicle. While waiting for the service to be preformed so many happy customers came in. Every phone call was answered respectfully and professionally. Several customers “stopped by” due to an immediate need for car service and not a single customer was turned away nor made to feel guilty due to their last min service need.

The staff at Beckley is always great about explaining the details of whatever service I’m in for and when I might need something again. I had my BMW in for an oil change and regular service over the summer, and they let me know I’d need to replace the front tires “not immediately but sometime before winter” which I appreciated. The tire service was just done, surprisingly quick considering how busy they were that day, and they walked me through the details of the alignment as well. I’m new to owning imports, but I always feel like my car and I are in good hands here.

I keep getting a message that I need to add oil. The repair would have cost $1,300.00. But instead of just doing the repair, it was suggested that since the car isnt leaking oil I should track when I have to add oil and the mileage. I appreciate not having to spend an extra $1,300.00 at this time.

Corey was exceptional at explaining the issues with my car and my options for fixing it, along with what should be done now and what could wait, while also explaining the issues waiting might lead to.I never felt like I was being pressured into work just so that they could make money off of me. More that they cared about my car and were treating it as if it were their own.

Very professional and helpful! Our car was having issues while in Des Moines from out of town, so I didn’t have another means of transportation. They had a shuttle take me back to where I was staying and pick me up as needed, and were able to diagnose my vehicle’s issue and provide me documentation for what was in this case covered under a recall by my dealer. While I was required to have the work done by a specific shop for the recall, and therefore couldn’t use Beckley for the repairs, they were extremely reasonable for the diagnosis cost and worked on my behalf every step of the way. I really appreciate their help and 5 star service.

I’ve been using their services for around 10 years. They’ve work on multiple import cars I’ve owned. They always provide the best customer service. Their prices have always been comparable and usually better than any dealership or other major shop. The time it takes to get repairs done is always much quicker than any other shop. I will always recommend them to anyone looking for repairs on their import.

Beckley automotive really helped me out with the dealership being so busy they couldnt get me in for another 3 weeks... But Beckley was here and ready to help out the same day I called and felt just as professional as the dealership with lower prices!

They installed competition shift cables in my Porsche. They had never done this before but took their time and did the job properly. The tech who did the work, Dave if I remember correctly, even studied the instructions I sent and watched the videos from Numeric, the cable vendor, the night before. Impressive! Service manager Cory is very careful, precise, polite and realistic, traits I greatly appreciate.

They are skilled, professional, and got my car serviced very quickly. Had a broken pipe replaced and an oil change. Thought the oil change was pretty pricey, but its full synthetic and looked like they had to use an extra quart. All in all Id recommend them to anyone for honesty and quality.

The mechanics at Beckley do great work and they do not overcharge. They’re also very friendly and quick. Have had service done there twice now and was very pleased both times. Way more friendly and affordable than going to the dealership. If you have a European ir luxury car, check out Beckley.

Called for an oil change, they offered to get me in that week. I waiting for my vehicle while it was being worked on, was done quickly. Best part…the price. If I was to go to the dealership it would be at least twice as much.

Chose this business since they have good reviews online, but from my experience I completely disagree. Was told I needed new brakes and new vacuum hose for brake booster, quoted 800 for the brakes and hose repair. Got second opinion from Volkswagen dealer who quoted 300 dollars less for same repair. Once the dealer inspected the car they found an access panel that Beckley auto removed and left on top of my engine and did not put it back in place. Volkswagen dealer also stated brakes were not needing replaced and were only soft due to the vacuum leak effecting the brake booster. I am absolutely disappointed in this company and at this point consider them thief’s after getting a third opinion which agreed with the Volkswagen dealer. Will tell everyone I know to not use this fraudulent business.

I was traveling across the country and I had my check engine light come on and my car had some clear problems accelerating.i was very concerned continuing my drive home for the last 300 miles so I wanted to get it checked out. I called 7 places and everyone said they wouldnt be able to even look at it for at least a week. When I called Beckley a man named John answered the phone and and listened to my situation. He offered to hook it up to the computer quick so I can get an idea if my car was able to get home or if it needed to be towed home. When I got there he quickly helped me and gave me the information on how to get my car home safe. He was on his break and said it was no charge. I couldnt believe how nice he was and he refused a tip. John at Beckley auto is a stand up guy and genuinely cares about the customers. I highly recommend calling this place first. Thanks john!!

Have been taking vehicles here for the last 3 years or so. Always polite and professional. Good prices for services, beats the dealer prices by miles.Will point out items that need to be addressed, but will take your first ‘no’ without argument. If there is a minor issue that doesn’t need immediate repair, they point it out as a watch item so you are aware.Questions are answered without making you feel dumb for asking them.They take great care of your vehicle while they have it.I would highly recommend taking your vehicle there.

While 1,200 miles from home my water pump went out. Beckley Automotive was open at 7:30 a.m. they recommended Perrys Towing. My pickup was up and going again by 2:00 p.m. Great service and reasonably priced. Very accommodating!

Was in town for a convention 4 1/2 hours from home. Blew out a tire and one of the local garages said I had a real problem. They put it on the lift and verified it was safe to drive home and told me what repairs I needed from my local dealer for no charge. Awesome service!

Hands down best auto shop in Des Moines–they treat customers with the highest end vehicles like Porsche, Mercedes, Audi and Volvo with the same amount of care as they do to the people who bring in domestic and Japanese cars. Their exceptional customer service and honest pricing are impossible to beat. Their price was $80 cheaper than the dealer for an oil change on my Volvo SUV. Will definitely be a regular customer moving forward not to mention my family has taken their BMWs for service here for years with the same exceptional experience.

Besides shuttling me home and even offering to pick me up when I could not procure an Uber or Lyft, Beckleys took the time to explain all issues and repairs needed. Overall great customer service. I never had to call them to get an update on my vehicle, they were always quick to get back to me with any new info. Thanks for the speedy, worry free, hassle free service. I had a serpentine belt replaced on my Chevy Cobalt. My first time going there and I knew nothing about the place but went because of the rave reviews. Didnt know that they specialize in fixing foreign and luxury cars. But they never made me feel out of place or like they couldnt do the job. They were not short or inpatient with me like most auto shops are with women. Driving from Chicago to Utah, stopped in Des Moines and noticed a small coolant leak under my car. Went to Beckley purely because they were the first shop that popped up on google and while they looked ridiculously busy they still managed to get my car in, diagnose the problem, order a new thermostat housing and install it all within ~ 4 hours on the same day. Was fully prepared to spend a night in Des Moines but was ridiculously impressed by the service, they even found another hose which was a little worn out and fixed that for me too. Don’t know if I’ll ever be in Des Moines again but would absolutely recommend this shop to anyone else. - Modified 2007 Mazdaspeed3.

I was very pleased with the service that my Honda received and with the way in which the Beckley folks delivered that service. In particular, they correctly diagnosed and repaired a problem that had been misdiagnosed by a Honda dealer.

I recently purchased a 2013 Land Rover LR4, Beckley has done really great work on it, drives like a new vehicle now. Im super happy with Beckley and will not go anywhere else.

I own a Volkswagen, a Honda, and a Toyota. They work on all cars and have reasonable prices. In my experience, they don’t try to up-sell or offer services that are not needed like many dealerships do.Two things that I appreciate about Beckley:1) I can ask for advice on anything car-related and know that I’m getting honest feedback and2) When Beckley identifies a future service need (like tires or breaks) they inform their customers of an estimated timeframe that the service may need to be completed. So useful from a budgeting perspective!

I like that they dont force things upon you as much which is a culture that I appreciate.

I have had a good experience every time so far.

Trouble isolating the problem but it may ave been more of a car problem rather than a diagnostic problem.

John was patient, communicative, and took care of things. Told me that I didnt needlessly have to spend money swapping out a perfectly good part, which I appreciated.

They did a better job than what Audi of Des Moines wouldve did, and cost me half of what they wouldve charged me. Will be taking any and all vehicles I currently own, and any I purchase in the future.

Cory at Beckleys has been working hard to deal a with clunking sound originating from the front end of my 2010 Lexus LS460L. We now think this issue has been solved. We have experimented with many different options. If I have future problems I will be sure to give Cory a call.
