I know that everyone is short-staffed right now, but to have literally every person in the store tell me that a person with a name is supposed to be in appliances, but cant be located is pretty frustrating. It also probably lost them a sale - Since no one was available and all the customer service rep could do was look up inventory on a computer, we walked out without buying a new fridge. We went immediately to a competitor and had an order placed within 15 minutes with delivery three days later. Home Depot told me they couldnt do anything for me until December.

This review is specifically for the customer service desk. They have been completely incompetent and unable to help me whatsoever despite other associates telling me exactly how it needs to be done. I just want to make a purchase. Spoke to an associate tonight that didn’t know what’s up, then after 10 minutes, the manager told her that they didn’t know what to do either (both should know), and then I got out on hold another 25 min only to get hung up on. What happens when I call back??? Crickets. Yup, no one even answers the phone. Completely unprofessional and incompetent. Good thing you have other associates like the one I met last week or you guys would be in trouble.

They have a beautiful selection of granites for your kitchen counter top.But the customer service on the back the blondie with glasses has a nasty attitude to be a customer service .

A great Home Depot. As it is large there is plenty of space and items you can buy. With a vast amount of items from all different price ranges, you can find practically anything you would need. If an item you desire is not there you can order off their website.

I stopped in for some plastic slip (zip) ties and tried finding them on my own, until limping, I finally asked a friendly attendant by the light bulbs. He pointed to his left and said, Electronics! Grateful beyond words, because my legs were throbbing, I was already in electronics territory and found a treasure trove of slip (zip) ties. Now I can cinch my crates closed for moving! (I didnt find any at Walmart )Thank you HD!

The layout of this home depot is different than most. Its my least favorite of the few layouts they have. Selection is good but most materials here are of poor quality especially the lumber. Having knowledge of the building industry you can find much cheaper and better quality materials but you might have to go to multiple stores

Spent 2 hours looking for stuff that wasnt where their site said it was, hard time finding an employee to help, then the employees couldnt find what I was looking for. Finally found everything, got to register and the pricing on an item was wrong, waited at register for them to fix it for 15-20 minutes. What could have been a quick 20 minute stop turned into a nightmare.

The consultants for kitchen renovation are excellent.However, the customers service is poor. Very poor. The associate who attended me was not polite, not happy and she made me feel like I bothered her conversation with the other associate. Its obvious that she was not willing to help. She just pushed my order in the box without a cart. It was a kitchen cabinet. No offer of help to load the unit on the cart and in our car. Her ID was not visible thats why I dont know her name. My unit was released by: LXM07Q8

This home depot is well stocked, very clean, employees are helpful and knowledgeable.Online pick up orders are done quickly, correct with no issues.Parking lot especially in the spring summer seasons can have a lot of merchandise but you can usually get a spot to park close to entrance.

Ok..had what we needed well stocked busy store

I went to the one in Derby and even though they were busy everyone was so sweet and helpful. Also, you could tell they have good management because the staff was very nice to each other. I really love to see that! So when this young man was going to put my lawn mower on my truck another young man who worked there passed by and asked him if he needed help. The young man who waited on me was his first day and the cashier told me that but in a nice way. I had to wait for a little for someone with the lawn mower keys and they apologized for making me wait. I usually go to Lowes but this experience really changed my mind

Always a good experience with the tool rental department here. The guys are genuinely friendly and are pretty well versed in A LOT of different equipment. Prices are extremely reasonable too

This place is a home depot! What more can I say. They have what you need. Even with online places this retailer will never go out of business. Sometimes they have what you want and other times they dont. But its close to where I live and most trips are easy, in and out.Sometimes other trips take longer when you cant find anything and go searching for an associate. But thats every Home Depot. Just get used to it and move on! :)

This store has great customer service. My husband & I recently bought our first home & came in for some paint we had no idea what to buy & the girls in paint were very helpful also to mention the young girl with the beautiful long nails helped me pick out every color for all our rooms & everything came out beautiful. Ok. Go in and ask where the darn thing is and dont try to aimlessly wander and search for that holy grail. You wont find it. You will find what you wanted by asking and it will be cost effective and even mailed to your business or residence ... never try to learn where things are. They switch it around to make you wander aimlessly so you buy more

There is absolutely no reason to be playing a boombox near the paint desk. Instead of wasting your time playing loud music on the racetrack how about watering the plants and sod you sell.. There were enough associates milling around doing what seemed to be nothing and not enough watering going on at the same time. I guess management takes Sundays off.

I asked the lumber associates if I could get a simple wood cut they said they did not do cuts, as I walked away they started laughing I had to ask another associate from a different department for help just because the lumber associates did not feel like helping me. Thats the power of home depot

I never mind this Home Depot. The employees are generally more knowledgeable than other Home Depot’s I have visited. I do advise you put in your own research regarding projects before you go in!

Great place, great service and great with handling covid protocols. Hard working staff that work hard even with alot of rude customers that seem to come in and make their job harder. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for supplies to start the summer right. Just got new paint for the house and the paint staff were really sweet and helpful young ladies despite what other reviews falsely say the staff here are awesome and make u feel at home and give great assistance.

I did a driveway contact on arrival and wait. Order was out to my vehicle in less than 5 minutes . It was a shelf kit for garage weighing over 200 lbs so to me this was great service. Thank you to the guy that brought it out and home depot for great job done.

The young lady that works in the paint department said as I walked by black girls always have a attitude so I contacted the manager on duty to file a complaint! And I will rate them on yelp and do the survey on the receipt to ensure corporate see who they hired! I will also be contacting corporate!

Horrible. Its cheap for a reason but certainly overpriced for an old dilapidated hotel. Pictures say it all. Staff is non existent, no continental breakfast as advertised and no walking distance amenities.

Practicing social distancing. Carts are being wiped down. Hand sanitizer available for use while shopping. Not much on site in the way of cleaning supplies. One register open. Several self checkers.

Bought a new chainsaw. Brought it home only to find it was used (dirt and leaves on blade), packing missing in box, and no instructions. Also noted, previous owner never added oil. The return was hassle free at least, just wonder if its going to go back on shelf...

For what it is, this Home Depot is a very convienant place to shop at, however I cant stand how they run 3 months ahead of the seasons, and also conclude selling seasonal items way way before the season ends.Example: I stopped by for some kerosene fuel, and was informed that what was on the shelf was it because, well - the season is over...I reminded the man that we are only in the second week of January, but at the same time I understand that my needs are not necessarially the same as the corporations...I also still miss all the old mom + pop shops which this store [*among many other big box stores..] displaced, as those stores - the old fashioned hardware store - was/were always a delight to visit.So, 3 stars.Would have been 5, except that again, I wish products would be stocked for the entire season per the calendar - as opposed to some business model based on revenue and profit.[*I want to add that since I made this review, the kerosene supply is now suddenly stocked, which is a good thing - so upgrade to 4 stars from 3...]

I was at Home Depot today to make keys for the trucks at work. I had the pleasure of meeting Janice who helped me make about 30 keys. She was patient and we had a very pleasant conversation. I went to this location on a busy Saturday afternoon to just browse the store and their clearance items. I wasnt disappointed. There were so many items on clearance, I wanted to put most of in my cart but knew better, because Id have a lot of explaining to do to the boss at home. More surprising; even with the store packed with customers, I had three (3) store associates asking if they could assist me in finding anything. Now thats service. Checkout was fast. I used the self checkout register and the female associate that was overseeing them was so friendly and cheerful, she made my day. Overall, it was a wonderful shopping experience for me.

I walked into this Home Depot ( remind you Im not a handy man with tools) and was looking for a certain part for pipe for under the sink. Im giving the store 3 stars 🌟 b/c I as I was looking around for the part ( I brought the broken one with me) I asked for assistance 5xs, each time it went over the loud speaker. 25 minutes goes by and STILL NO ONE. I ended up talking with someone, comes to find out he was a plumber/jack of all trades. He gave me all the right parts and his number for future help ever. What a nice guy, no thanks to Home Depot.On top of that I saw at least 6 ppl without 😷 and absolutely no social distance. Even at the registers.Hopefully my next visit will be better and Ill update this post.

I had a much better experience at the Derby HD, than I did at my last visit to the Orange location. The staff that I interacted with (Nate and Reese) at this HD are friendly and very helpful. Though its bit of a drive, Id certainly visit this store in the future.

First: Dont trust the inventory information you see online for this location. Online said the store had at least 472 pavers of the SKU we needed...got there & found only 10 left & scattered in the garden section.Second: I have gone to this location many times over the last decade but the rude staffer tonight was off the hook. His tirade put a real damper on all of the countless amazing and helpful staff members who have always been kind, friendly and helpful. Hopefully this guy isnt always like this because he made my historical 100% positive customer service experience at this location drop.

Worst home Depot ever... . Ordered Weber grill online received email saying it was ready for pickup, we called the store to double check it was ready for curbside pickup. We drove to the store and texted from parking lot we were there and sat there for 45 minutes before someone came out and told us our order was not ready and that we would have to come back the next day. Total incompetence, only thing they could do was apologize for their incompetence. Wasted my Saturday afternoon and they expect me to come back. Id rather spend more money and get what I want when I want and not deal with idiots

Apparently this location does not believe in masks or requiring employees to wear them (even though it is STATE MANDATED) They also like to rent damaged trucks that are horribly filthy and dented. But you know as Cecil the assistant manager says “it’s not his problem”. DO NOT GO HERE!

I’ve had to order and pick up now FIVE doors or replacement parts for a door (not Home Depot’s fault for that, Andersen’s fault) but not once was I notified when something came in. I had to call, show up in person, come back later, and hunt the doors down myself to get these parts and doors...all of which wasted my time, my money, and my gas. Voiced my concerns on many occasions, no one cares and nothing changes. Maybe it’s time to pay the extra money for the smaller local hardware stores.

I always seem to find what Im looking for. Many of the employees are quite knowledgeable about the different departments.

This is the worst Home Depot in the state. The management is awe full and poor help. I once saw the manger Tom call the police on a customer and the customer was right. I tried to reach out to corporate but falls on deaf ears and they make it very hard to reach. I have been a customer of Home Depot for 30 + years and switched to Lowes in Derby. What a difference. The help is great and they are in every isle to ask if you need help. Home Depot is dirty, shelves are empty and most employees are useless and should be replaced. Try Lowes you will see the difference.

This HD has awful customer service. The workers just walk by, try to get their attention & they keep on walking. Horrible service, if you need assistance, dont bother going to Derby HD. Manager needs to do a better job training staff on acknowledging customers & offering assistance.

Worst home depot i have ever dealt with and I deal with 3 states worth. They refuse to return/anything without a problem. And to boot they get nasty with you. This is the 4th time I have had this same problem and the managers are worse than the employees!!!! Refuse to even follow their own policies. Go to another home depot or lowes. They lost my business permanently.

Been to this particular Home Depot a few times today was the first day I used online In store pickup. The customer service associate who helped very lacking and rude. This review is solely one star for that purpose. I would explain my experience start to finish but the whole interaction was bad. From start of interaction to finalizing the transaction I felt like me picking up my order was bothersome to this particular associate. To highlight some points of this interaction. I offered help getting my item since it was an extension ladder and she said “I will figure it out” so I stepped back and watched her finally ask a second associate for help after struggling for about a minute or two. I asked if it was possible to pay for one item at the desk as well and was told “I can only do one thing at a time” I was told when the transaction was finished “You have to go get a lumber cart to carry your item” I am just really upset with the lack of customer service. Honestly being told I have to get a lumber cart instead of asking if I needed help or if she would be willing to have someone get me a cart was the cherry on top. On the bright side the store has a nice layout had my item in stock at a reasonable time.

Ordered a grill online to pick up in store and when I got there they tried to give me this horrible, used looking grill that was dented and filthy

Good evening reading some of these comments I understand we all have different experience I came in this afternoon to purchase a fan because I’m tired of running my AC my cousin gave me a credit card refund I cannot use it because its in his name was linked to it I was furious I have the money to purchase the fan but I want to use the credit refund I was so furious kitty and the manager helped me out tremendously today I am so happy I was a little rude to the manager and cashier because of my frustration of my cousin giving me His credit refund card that’s linked to his license I apologize to the staff thank you so much for helping me out and understanding my frustration I really appreciate The manager giving me a courtesy discount thank you for my understanding my frustration again I totally apologize we all have a safe year Excuse some of the spelling

Recently I went to the Home Depot in derby ct to order a new washer and dryer. I was greeted by a salesperson Carolyn who knew absolutely nothing about appliances??!! What? She was lazy and was just leaning against the product as she tried to answer some of my questions. I then worked with Katie who was very knowledgeable. She helped me with the measurements and asked me to call her went I got home to check the spaces and to be exact. She was great and I ordered with her. The appliances were back ordered and I had to wait another week in a half. Finally they were scheduled to come. When they arrived the washer was damaged beyond repair. The deliver people were trying to call and myself as well. No one at Home Depot wanted to help. So now the deliver people are here, I took the day off work and they are not answering at the store??? I called and asked for the store manger. The one manager on duty was s guy Tim. I told him what was going on he wanted to give me the 1-800 number which wait time is 45 minutes. He did not ask my name, what type of appliances they were, my order #. Nothing. Just wanted me off the phone cause it was going into his dinner break. He was rude, obnoxious and would not let me get a word in otherwise. He then said he would transfer me to another manager. I got Hanna. She is not a manager, just a worker but very good at her job. She was trying to help but this was not her department. I decided to go to the store. MeAnwhile the delivery people are still in the driveway with my husband. I went in had to wait for Tim to finish his dinner break. He took all his time to come to the front. When he did and met me he rolled his eyes. Brought me to the girls in the back. Wanted in no way to deal with a customer problem. This is a manager. He told the girls. Just give her her money back and shut her up!!!! Manager. Wow!!! That is no way to treat a customer. Plus his appearance was dirty. His pants were all ripped and stained. Manager. ? Not sure what he might be ???

Standard hardware store with just about everything youd need for DIY or contractor work.

Too many aisles in the garden center closed for a Saturday afternoon visit.

New Manager Tim is very helpful, always walking the floor and helping out.

Ordered pressure treated 2x4s for delivery, everything else I ordered arrived except the wood, even though it was on the invoice. Two days later it still has not been delivered and of course no one is answering. Seriously not cool. It’s not cheap and we specifically paid for delivery!
