We really enjoyed our time here. I had the calabrian chicken pizza. Forgive me, I cant remember the exact name. It was spectacular! My son basically made a meat lovers pizza. It was good, but not as good as mine. My wife also got a build your own she enjoyed hers. The crust is the real star here. I wasnt entirely satisfied with the salami order. I ordered the Iberico ham, but what came out was like a salami. I dont know if it was a miscommunication in the kitchen or if thats what theyre actually serving as Iberico ham. The staff overall was very friendly. The next time were in the area, I dont think we would hesitate to stop in again.

Selected the restaurant because it took a reservation on line (it was Saturday night and lots of people in town at our hotel for the next days Broncos game). Didnt really need a reservation. Wasnt very crowded which I was surprised. Also I had called ahead of time to see if they had gluten free crust and they didnt answered the phone (had to call the other location). Yes, they have a great gluten free crust! Its a wood fire oven. Pizza was fantastic. Salad was small and disappointing. Good wine list. Service was so so. We went a long time not seeing our waitress (she was talking to people in the back, seem understaffed). I would give the pizza 5 stars, the salad and service 3 stars for a 4 star average.

Undoubtedly, it’s the best place in Denver when it comes to tasty pizza. I and my wife adore this place for its convenient interior and exclusive meals. Visiting from out of town with friends. I have a gluten and casein allergy so I expected to just have a drink. This is literally MY favorite place in Denver!! From the moment we start planning a Denver trip, Im thinking about how Im going to eat at Pizza Republica everyday! The wait staff is amazing and very knowledgeable about both the food and wine menu. I cant tell you much about the menu because everytime I go, I order the Quattro Formaggi (be sure that it has the smoked buffala cheese on it! Youre welcome) and a bottle of Lambrusco. Its heavenly! I can not wait until we relocate to Denver!!

Rude host tried to tell us the place was closing an hour earlier than posted to try to deter us from getting a table, and seemed bothered that we were there (at 7:30??). There were 2-3 tables seated after us. When questioned he assumed we were from out of town and said their hours “flexed”. Right. Im not sure what restaurant the recent reviewers are describing, but its not this one. The good: atmosphere and decor are contemporary. Proximity to arts center is great. The not so good: the food and service. As thoroughly mediocre as Ive had, especially for the price. Here with my family of 4, two had pizza, which were bland; two had salads and apps, which were uniformly tasteless and forgettable. And on a busy Saturday night, service was lacking. They seemed understaffed. No one had much positive to say about their meal, and for the price, yikes. So many better options within a few blocks.

I have never had such a terrible introduction at any company than I did at Pizza Republica this weekend. I was walking in with my friends for one dinner after spending all day at a conference. I was wearing a women for Trump hat and was so excited to have a nice meal with my friends. When I walked in, I was immediately stopped at the door and told that I must take my hat off or they would not serve me. This is America! I have the right to wear whatever I want to wear! If I was wearing a Trump shirt, would I have been forced to take my shirt off or leave? It is my first amendment right. What they did was discrimination and because of it, I will never go to a Pizza republica ever again and I would encourage all of you to not go as well.

We were visiting the boat convention going on next door and thought wed stop in for a bite to eat. (1-20-19 at 12pm) What a horrendous experience it turned out to be! Our server seemed to be on another planet and had no interest in serving us. In fact what seemed to be the bust boy (awesome older fella) ended up helping us with eveything because our server was to busy talking to her friend in the corner. The food was average and on the high side of price. We frequent many restaurants through many states and our server was hands down the worst weve ever experienced.

Summary: I had a pretty terrible experience at this restaurant and was very disappointed with how I was treated. The staff repeatedly flashed the lights on and off and removed food and wine from our table before we were finished to try to make us leave. My friend and I arrived at about 8:30 pm on a Tuesday. We were not aware that it was only open until 9, and the staff at first gave no indication that we would have any problem in terms of time. The waiter informed us that we only had 12 minutes to order before the kitchen closed, so we decided quickly to order 2 pizzas with a bottle of wine. Before we were halfway through our pizzas, the staff started (I kid you not) flashing the lights on and off, apparently in an attempt to speed us up. There were still about 4 other tables of customers at this time. At first we thought it was a problem with the lighting/electricity.The waiter provided us with the check quickly without asking if we wanted anything else, and then the staff started awkwardly attempting to remove items from our table before we were done with them. The real point of anger came when my glass of wine was grabbed off of the table before with wine still left in it (the employee stared at me for a couple seconds before placing it down again). The constant flashing of the lights continued until we actually finished our wine and left.On the way out the host thanked us for coming, at which point I confronted him for not warning us that we were going to be rushed in this manner before we took our seats. He asked who rushed us and, after I explained the above incidents, including the lights flashing, he claimed to not be aware that had happened.Once again, we were very disappointed with how we were treated. While we unknowingly did arrive near closing, the staff should have warned us about the time constraints if they were planning on behaving in that manner.

Pizza was extremely dry. The cheese was completely missing from one side so they used the age old trick of a pile of arugula to hide it. Even at the end, she never asked because they clearly dont care.

Great location, awesome pizza- terrible customer service and poor beer selection. This place always impressed me with the pizza (this the one star) yet never ceases to irritate me with their attitude. No one seems happy to work there and patrons are treated more like an inconvenience. They are sticklers on the happy hour times too-don’t be a minute late, that includes wait time for the server to eventually get to your table, and plan on being told you have to move (tack on another few minutes for that, so no happy hour for you). The phantom reserved table thing has happened numerous times and some how always impacts the availability of the happy hour menu. Not sure why they don’t use signs on the tables. I’ll go when I crave good pizza-and it really is good-but if your looking for a welcoming yet relaxing feel, go somewhere else.

Pizza choices are pretty basic, and I wouldnt say it was anything special--especially for the prices. They have some good choices, but when received, they basically had no taste. For such an upscale place, I expect the pizza to be pretty flavorful and memorable, but these fell flat. I appreciate the fact that they use local produce/meat/whatnot, but they could utilize them in tastier ways. This is not a place I would recommend to someone. We were given the lunch menu, and then charged for dinner prices. Management was VERY nice, and clearly takes care of customers. Visited today around 4pm and ordered the fig pizza as well as the prosciutto. The place only had 2 other tables at the time so it’s no surprise that the service and food were both done well. My issue is with the bate and switch they pulled on me. The menus given to us were apparently the lunch menus so we expected our bill to be $21 plus tax. So when our bill came out to be almost twice that I was shocked to say the least. Food is definitely worth the lunch price. Debatable when they tack on another $7 per pizza for dinner pricing.

I always thought a Neapolitan Pizza was suppose to be cooked for a max of 60 sec, being soft and aromatic. My pizza had maybe 4 pieces of basil more garlic than sauce and everything was cooked to the point it was brittle and crusted over. The sauce didn’t exist it just was colored hard crust. Pretty bad, actually worst pizza I’ve had. I don’t know you could screw a pizza up that bad. 👎🏻

If you are dining by yourself, dont even bother.I was visiting from out of town, on my own, for the Don Henley concert last week.Yes, it was busy. However, the host told me there would be a 1 1/2 hour wait for a table, despite the curious fact there appeared to be no one else waiting for a table. He then said, grudgingly, I suppose you could try to find a seat at the bar, then added in a tone that went from grudging to condescending, But were busy because there is a big Don Henley concert tonight. In case I missed the banners, electronic billboards, and Henleys music wafting from numerous car stereos, or misread my ticket stub.I really hate restaurants that treat single diners like interlopers.Maybe the food is good, but this guy was rude. This is one of the must have stops for me when I am in Denver. I absolutely love all of the food that is served here, and the ambiance is a little better than the surrounding restaurants. My ultimate must have is the Meatball appetizer which is the tenderest most flavorful softball size meatball you will ever have. Ultimately I love the pizza here with its fresh mozzarella and large portions of meats and toppings. The other pasta dishes and even the fish are superb. Service can get a bit slow at times which is expected really for prime time downtown, but otherwise everything is as expected from the hostesses and wait staff. Also in the dozen times I have been here, the house manager has mad an appearance to either ask if need anything or just to check on how the food and service was, which is very nice. Any problems are addressed immediately. Overall this is one of my favorite food spots in Denver.
