First off I want to say I love Farrow Ball paints and was looking for a stockist; enter Casa Verde. I read all the reviews and was definitely apprehensive about what my experience would be. I am thoroughly disappointed in the owners behavior and vitriol. Instead of being greeted enthusiastically, my associate and I were reprimanded for not having an appointment. The owner did help but she definitely was frosty. I love Farrow and Ball products and this was the closest stockist. I then came back to pick up another tester and was once again reprimanded for not having an appointment. Oddly there was no one else there and in the time I was lectured on this I could have had my paint and left. I even asked her if I should go elsewhere. What followed was an unloading rant about not having enough help, even disclosing employee personal problems, and the trouble she had with designers coming in and taking her knowledge without buying anything.This was the worst customer experience I’ve ever had and I have been in design/retail for over 30 years. The owner even had the nerve to complain to me about the importance of having boundaries, yet proceeded to ignore mine. Perhaps she’s knowledgeable and passionate about her products, however, the owner needs some lessons in sales, listening and compassion. I will now order my paint elsewhere. I’ll also be in touch with Farrow and Ball; they deserve better representation.
I love have a green store in the heart of the city. I found the owner to be a wealth of information, and extreamly helpful. As I have remodeled my home over the years, this is a place I continously return to. Im super grateful for this spot!

Wow. I dont often write reviews, but I feel compelled to this time. I just called in to get advice about which AFM safecoat sealer would be be appropriate for applying to furniture. I started with the background of what I would be applying it to and why (artificial fragrance smells), and the woman I talked to said she didnt think it would work for that. I explained why I thought it might work and that Id like to give it a shot anyway. While I was trying to ask what product she recommended for the application she went off the rails and started claiming that I wasnt letting her get a word in edge wise, and that I was discrediting her and that she had been a dealer since 2005. Then she hung up on me. Yes, seriously, hung up on me. Never did I raise my voice or discredit her or anything of that nature. Clearly if youre working with this person, dont share your own opinion or be willing to experiment with anything.
I called inquiring about opening an account for floor finishes as they distribute my preferred products. The phone kept cutting out so I notified the woman I was having a hard time hearing her to which she replied Well I cant hear you either quite rudely and then hung up. Look elsewhere, there are better options.
Laurie and her team work so quickly and efficiently! I highly recommend this company. Their prices are good and they are extremely knowledgeable on all of their products. We will continue to come back and use them over other competitors.
I own an interior design firm here in Denver, and we will not be patronizing this store any longer. The owner of this store is extremely unprofessional and rude. An employee of mine had been politely communicating with her about a specific product we were unfamiliar with, and when she called to confirm pickup of the purchase (since the store is appointment only), the woman told her off -- she made it clear she was exasperated that she was calling her again, told her her she was done with her, and then hung up!As a fellow small business owner, I was shocked at how my employee was treated. Needless to say we will be purchasing these products (Rubio Monocoat) elsewhere from now on.
Contrary to some other reviews, my experience here has been nothing but helpful and accommodating. I come here once a month. Staff are knowledgeable and willing to answer any and all questions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Casa Verde does it again, bad customer service. Their phone service cuts in-and-out so you cant hear what theyre saying. They expect you to make an appointment to come in and buy products from them. The owner hung up on me today and told me not to spend my money with them since I wrote a bad review years ago about their horrible customer service. I will never think about using Casa Verde paints ever again in my lifetime.
I love the product lines that they carry and the customer service was great. I went back a couple years later to order the same paint and color and they had it in a file and was able to recreate the custom colors. I have recommended them to all my friends.
It has been a year since my following review, and these people are still notorious, pretentious, inhospitable “people.”... I stand by every word I’ve written both professionally and privately...There is a good selection here; however, as a prospective client who would have gladly ordered and regularly purchased from one of thier product lines, I was treated like I was an employee who needed to be disciplined over a misunderstanding. I was expected to pay a restock fee for over ordered product. Then I was informed that if I did not pay the restock fee, then the client I was working for would not be refunded for The Returned product. The person at the store knew how much coverage was required, and was the person who placed the order for too much product. As a messenger for the stores client I was merely informing them of a 2 to 1 ratio of color mix. Somehow this got understood as ordering twice as much product as what was needed. Later I was informed of how irresponsible I was and our mutual client was treated very disrespectfully when they came in to return the product. I was also informed that as a customer I was expected to obey rules of the store. I was also condescendingly informed that my pending account with them would not pass muster should I dispute the restock fee. The store made money purchasing the product. The store was also informed that I was interested in being a repeat client who uses a lot of the product. The store was incredibly insistent that we pay nearly $100 restock fee for three quarts of product. We used to live in a world where a customers business was appreciated especially for such a rare product. At Casa Verde a customer is expected to play by their rules or they are treated as an inconvenience. As much as I believe in the products they carry I have no choice but to support other businesses that provide like product.
Most dishonest store in Denver. You get one pricing on the phone and when they get your credit card then Casa Verde will charge you double the quoted price.As a contractor I will not give business to these guys.Oh and when you confront them they will gladly hang up on you.Terrible customer service!

I called in inquiring about wood stain. I had researched how typical stains have 10x or more VOC and offgasing so I was trying to find a better alternative. The man that I spoke with was very detailed and helpful. He recommended several and I wenrt with Monocoat. Ive used the black monocoat throughout our 80s house: wood doors, all closet shelving, etc and LOVE THIS product! Also, very satisfied with how fast theyve shipped. :-)
My review is based on what I believe is a deceptive proprietor with an arbitrary return policy. I purchased a product at shop owners’ recommendation. I asked if product was not needed then could it be returned for a refund. The actual product’s manufacturer subsequently advised I didn’t use the product combination recommended by Casa Verde. In fact, her recommendation would have been detrimental to the project. Only upon returning the unused and sealed product did I discover (while looking at my receipt) that I was charged a restock fee. I recommend in the future that the owner be clear, upfront and honest about their restocking fees. Im beginning to see a pattern forming in some of their reviews but sadly, I didnt check Google reviews before buying. We spent a total of 1.5 hours in their empty store.

Repeat customer, but Never Again.Its too bad since we planning to repaint our entire house interior and exterior with the paint they sell.Unbelievably bad attitude towards customers. Couldnt match a paint swatch to save their lives and will be pissed off at you when you call them on it.The specialty paint they sell is everywhere on the Internet. I would gladly pay more for the same product at another place than ever patronize this business again.Update: clueless owners hostile reply proves my point. You dont even know why ur customers are upset! and btw it wasnt the giant fail on paint color it was your miserable treatment of my wife. But Yes blame the people giving u money thatll help your reputation. Heres a tip if ur customers are upset apologoze and ask how u can fix it. Or ya know go out of buisness. If only gordon ramsey had a show for failing home improvement stores... Paint Store Nightmares!!
