What a horrible experience we have had with this company. For the sake of your sanity, dont ever rent a trailer from U-Haul. We are in Gunnison, Colorado right now, and we rented a trailer to move our furniture in to a new apartment in Lakewood. We were never notified that there were no available trailers in Gunnison. They changed our pickup location to Montrose, which is only accessible by a road that is closed for construction for the week. Now we are stranded with a bunch of furniture to move without a trailer. What an atrocious experience.

Whenever I have been in the store I’ve had at least an hour or more wait. Being unable to get to the store as I am out of state, making my payment is like pulling teeth. Honestly I can’t recommend this place. Make the drive to alameda. Yikes.

Please check your bank statements after using Uhaul. They tacked almost $600 onto my card for a one way, one day small trailer rental. No phone call, no messages or emails. Contract stated it was a one way rental. Do not recommend.

A previous U-haul in Chicago messed up my hitch wiring installation and the workers here were super helpful and quick with getting it fixed. Was in & out in less than an hour! Highly recommend.

When I schedule a time to rent a week in advance I don’t expect to wait for one to be available for over 40 minutes when I arrive for my schedule pickup. I now have people waiting since they can’t keep a schedule. In store and staff was nice why they get 3 stars.

I scheduled to come here at 7am on a Friday in December. There was only one worker who was seeing someone off with a trailer when I arrived, so there was no one in the store for ~20 minutes while me and one other customer ahead of me waited. It took another ~10 minutes to get the customer in front of me set up before I was helped. The process was quick for me because I had scheduled online before I got there. The gentleman was friendly, but unfortunately that doesnt change the fact that it took ~40 minutes from the time I walked in the door until I left with my rented truck. Needless to say, I was late to meet all my moving buddies.

On Jul 9 I purchased a hitch and scheduled an install apptmt for Jul 17 at 3 pm. 90 minutes before my install apptmt I got a call that the hitch was on backorder and would not be available for 2 to 3 weeks. Are you kidding? Now I lost a week and have to start my search over. Horrible customer service. No alternatives offered. Ill go elsewhere. 0 stars.

Unfortunately the experience today is what I’ve come to expect from Uhaul. Sunday morning, a common moving time and we have spent 45 minutes and still not been helped. There is one person on duty and a line of people, and it’s pretty apparent nobody cares at a company level. There is no hustle as the one worker had to clean a truck before servicing the line inside. And why should he care? The company clearly does not. No seats, water, just a concrete floor and no notion of just how long this will take. If there were other options, I would take them.

I rented an auto transport on the 24th of April. It is now the 21rst of May payed for it and still haven’t gotten my refund. I had to call more than 7 times to get this refund. They Barely processed it today. Would not recommend you paying unless you absolutely know for sure they have it available.

I’m strictly reviewing the location based on my store experience. I visited the store on a busy Saturday morning, and there was just one employee. I believe his name is Joel from my receipt. He managed to be friendly, accommodating and courteous of all the customers despite the fact that he has to perform all kind of tasks that required him to leave his position (truck rentals, propane exchanges, etc) he somehow managed to keep track of all of the customers in store and managed to acknowledged my while I was looking at things in the store and offered help even though he had two customers in line in front of him that came in the store after me. And he excused himself from the two customers in front of him in a polite and friendly manner to assist me. A lot of people would just keep on serving the person in front of them and ignore people on the floor. Just five star customer service and excellent common sense.

We we’re not given the truck we signed for, and the employees failed to locate any of the dollys we rented. After a huge hassle we got one. Find another truck rental, this ones not worth it.

Rico the store manager is terrible. Doesn’t abide by U-Hauls use policy and makes up his own. Ridiculous experience and had one of there staff ask for a few bucks to spare. Weird and ghetto location with people clearly high on something.

I just rented a trailer same day to haul a motorcycle. The 2 guys at the counter were super nice and quick to complete the reservation, even after I switched my reservation to a different trailer. Great service. While I was waiting one of the guys looked up places to get a propane connector for a guy who stopped in. Great service.

Customer service was very poor. Employees misinformed me of policy. Advising me that my debit card was used to hold the reservation and would not be charged. Planning on paying the actual total in cash upon drop off I discovered my card had been charged an even greater amount. This misinformation and lack of competence and service by your employees caused me to have issues with my bank. Your employees didn’t relay my full options as to make the right choice in my best interest. If your employees weren’t rude and misleading this mishap could very well have been avoided. Upon return customer service was again very poor. Offering me no solution to the problem the previous days employee caused. I will be seeking to further inform future customers of your misleading ways. NEVER USING U-HAUL AGAIN!!!

This place is HORRIBLE!!! They quoted me the wrong sized unit, and when I got there with a truck full of stuff on a hot moving day I found out it was actually two smaller units, which wouldnt fit my couch! I was so mad because I had searched for hours to find the best deal. And now I didnt have time to search again. I now had to purchase a unit that was $35 more to fit my couches!!! They WOULD NOT negotiate with me on price. THEY WOULD NOT BUDGE!Mosley, the manager at the store, said I needed to call customer service. Then Customer service said I needed to talk to the manager. It was a total run-around rink!!! (On a moving day to boot!) When I called customer service I was placed on hold 4 times, waited 40 minutes, got transferred, they dropped the call. I called back. Waited another 40 minutes. (By now its been 2 and a half hours of people saying they can not help me!!!!!) This was one of the most frustrating purchasing experiences I have had IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!! And in the end I was transferred to a VOICEMAIL!AVOID RENTING A STORAGE UNIT AT THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!Also, the ceilings are extremely low. You can not fit a couch standing upright in any of their units.

In the words of Jerry Seinfeld, they know how to take the reservations, they just dont know how to hold the reservations...and thats really the most important part, the holding. Anyone can just take them. And they didnt give a flying rip. I arrived at 9am sharp when they opened to pick my truck up and they said they didnt have one for me. Unbelievable.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Zero appreciation for customer service. Zero attempt to remedy the ridiculousness u-haul put me through in trying to utilize their services. And tried to tell me I didnt pay when I already had my credit card charged by u-haul. Avoid this place. I have had much better experiences at other u-haul locations so not knocking u-haul as a company, just this location.

I had a hitch installed by uhaul. They did a hard wire with a ground from my battery to a box in my trunk. They didnt secure the wire under my car and it got cut cause it was hanging underneath the car. It was out of warranty but I spoke to someone at this uhaul location who said theyd splice the wire back together for free. When I showed up (and this place is far out of my way) they told me they couldnt do it and tried to charge me more than my shop wanted to. BAD BUSINESS

Good customer service. Usually has any vehicle you want. The only problem I had with them, is the money charged to your card is not pending. It clears the same day. Then when you bring the vehicle back, the charges are reimbursed separately. My estimated charge was $46 they took out $85 and then I had to wait two or three days, after returning the vehicle, before my money was reimbursed back into my account. Any other place the charges are pending, until you bring the vehicle back and then you get charged. Renter Beware!!!

Stopped in to get two propane tanks filled. The person filling the tanks refused to fill the first tank because it expired a couple months earlier. Thats understandable. He tried to fill the second tank multiple times and failed. He told me he couldnt fill the tank. I tried to explain to him the function of a bleeder valve on a tank and he defensively told me hes been doing it for 22 years and he knows what hes doing. Sadly, Ive been going to the same U-haul location for that same amount of time getting propane and I can honestly say, Ive never seen anyone fill a propane tank without loosening the bleeder valve. It appears they just dont want my business - I drove a block over and exchanged the propane bottles at the Conoco station on the corner. I wont be back to that U-Haul.

Mr. Larson and Co. made a not-ideal situation into a truly great customer experience. UHaul went above and beyond when a glitch meant our truck size wasnt available. Ill be back, and Ill be back to this UHaul specifically.Thank you. We were able to meet our original budget and get all our materials across the state. There was definitely a ton of worry, but Mr. Larson came through for us. Very, very happy. Highly recommended.

Tried renting a truck was transferred to this location to talk to a manger, Anna and Stacy were the most rude people in the world. People were laughing at me and even hung up and then they claim I was cussing at them which never happened. I demand the call be audited for customer action number 2756933. Do not use these guys there are other options.

1st Problem-- RUDE HIGHLY INCOMPETENT STAFF at that facility. (Esp the assistant manager! Desiree, I believe thats her name). Whatever her name, she has NO BUSINESS in the field of customer service. You dont make broad sweeping accusations against your PAYING CUSTOMERS //5when you havent one iota of proof. IMAGE is NOTHING.I PAID for 24 hour access yet this was DENIED because of one such accusationWhen I asked for at least a partial refund (How many folks want to pay extra $ for something and not receive it?). I was FLATLY DENIED the refund for the fact I was denied 24 hour access. For that which I didnt commit.Oh, but something of value STOLEN FROM ME at that facility- $250.mountain bike. Which I left INSIDE the facility just downstairs from my storage locker for no more than 2 or 3 minutes while I retrieved something from my unit which was on the 2nd floor.2nd problem (THEFT OF MY PERSONAL PROPERTY) They had footage of me arguing with the assistant manager when Id been denied the 24 hour access for which I had prepaid. One would think those 24 hour surveillance cameras would be used NOT JUST to protect the staff, but to protect the property of those who pay to store their possessions at.that facility. When I asked of they could.play footage on the specific date and time. They wouldnt even try to locate that info to see whod waltzed off with my bike! It was not in a out-of-the-way secluded area at the facility. I believe the staff 1) obviously cared NOTHING about whether my personal property was safe. After all, to them, I was a poor indigent nobody, therefore my belongings couldnt possibly have any value. Or, the staff was so incompetent they couldnt figure out how to operate the camera.Problem 3: THE OVER ZEALOUS YET INCOMPETENT STAFF struggles with reading basic paperwork. They mistakenly locked me out of my unit When it was the unit next to.me which was delinquent with a payment.I paid one months rent for my space BEFORE I moved into the unit. There was still 10 days left in my month.Needless to say, I moved my stuff elsewhere at the end of my month. I also.left the staff a WELL EARNED present upon my departure (not in the space I rented and out of the way of the surveillance gear. I hope they enjoyed it (and the stench it MUST HAVE CREATED) for many months to come! They deserved every bit of it!

Shout out to these guys for saving the day for us! The U-Haul in Highlands Ranch (terrible, dont use them) completely messed up our truck reservation on the day of our move. We came over to the Evans location and they fixed the glitch and hooked us up (pun). This is family owned and they know customer satisfaction! Thanks, guys. Set up an appointment online and was scheduled for 7:00 am. At 7:30 I told the clerk I would just take the refund because I had other appointments to keep. They offered to install for free. So I cancelled. Installers were an hour late. I waited another 35 minutes when I was told they didnt have the hitch. The hitch was at another store. I could go over there and pick it up and bring it back for installation or let the Sheridan store do it there.I went to that store they had the hitch but refused the installation. The manager wanted to charge me for the hitch that I had already paid for online.I then took the hitch to Federal location and they asked why didnt just do it over there. Then said they could not install it because they had no hardware.When I asked about refunding they couldnt because their computer system was down.I had to call the 1-800 number to request the refund.Horrible customer service and professional.

Paid over the phone, showed up to figure out what storage locker I bought, and they didnt have anything linking me to the unit. Took two hours to figure it out and put me in the system. Fast forward to a month later when I called to pay my bill, and they had no record of me being there. All of my stuff was in a unit under someone elses name. I came in to figure out what was happening, and it took another two hours to change the name and information to mine. I just now tried to log in to pay my bill (a month later) and my email, name, and address was messed up and I couldnt log in. I called once more, and the lady on the phone was the first competent person I have talked to over there, and she figured it out quickly. Overall experience, Not pleasant.

Do not get a hitch installed at UHaul!! I ordered mine online to have it installed at this location. I never got a call to schedule the appointment and when they finally did get around to installing it, I waited around for hours only to be told they cant remove a simple bolt. I was told to take it to an auto body shop to have it installed and had to bring it back for the wiring. What I was told would be a quick wiring job turned into hours because they couldnt find a drill in their shop. Once they finally found a drill and sent me home, I came to find out that the wiring doesnt even work! I just wasted three whole days as Im trying to make a big move. By far the most incompetent shop Ive ever experienced!!

I reserved the truck online and specifically checked no insurance, no accessories, no labor help. When I arrived younger guy took care of it and he seem to be doing his job, but why didn’t he just arrange the truck because I reserved it the night before at $19.95 a day + .79 a mile. declining all add-ons. Don’t remember his name but we actually talked about how he could make a lot of money In the business I’m in. I specifically asked him what the amount would be and he said that’s determined by how long I have the truck and he went on about the return process.All I know is the truck was reserved online the night before and it was only $19.95 + miles. Knew I wasn’t driving very far but due to moving basically by myself it took lot longer than anticipated.Uhaul called each day and I explained the situation. I spoke with a female hours prior to returning the truck and she informed me my balance was $60 something if I get the truck back by 3:00 pm? Arrived later than 3 and anticipated another $19.95? I figured anywhere from $90 - $100. Not $180!! You see a truck for $19.95 a day and get charged $45 a day, that’s a problem! That’s more than double what the lady said and why was there such a discrepancy? The porter checking in the truck had no answer dbs immediately went in to talk with the manager. When I spoke with him he dinky stated it couldn’t be in there unless I signed for it. I should’ve been more cautious but I’ve used uhaul many times in the past and NEVER had the quoted price more than double when turning in the truck.

Terrible Experience! I ordered the U-Box units and had them filled up and returned to the store for 2 months storage. I then requested to have them ready for pickup and when I showed up the U-boxes were not there, nothing in their system to have them ready, they made an extra effort to get them to me the next day and it took till about 3:00pm to get them while I sat around with an empty house and paid movers. Just when I thought the ordeal was over I look at my bank account a week later and they bill me for another month a week after I get moved out of them. Then I keep trying to contact U-haul to get a refund and weeks later I still have no refund, no customer support, and still dont even know if Ill get that money back. U-haul customer support, organization, and the company as whole is a disaster! Do not use them!

Their propane is always out, hasnt been unlocked, is too late for the workers to come out safely (although there were 4 employees working at the time), or is not functioning properly. Save your time and visit another location for your propane needs.

Nothing. I had a 1 pm appt but no one was here, at all. Checked the store, the storage area, and the staff area. No one. Around 130 or so, the guy whose shift starts at 2 comes in and I mention my problem. He goes on and a few minutes later says someone is here... Another ten minutes, nothing. I go back in the store and he and another guy are chatting. I ask if someone is goimg to work on my car...the guy I talked to before said the other one is going to, he was just llooking for me. ?? I was in the same place when he walked in..right in front of the garage!!Finally start around 145. At 220 or so, hes gone...No work being done in car, but hood is up. Finally, at 235 I ask if Im done or whats going on? He blew a fuse and cant find it on my car. Hes searching the internet to find pictures of the fuses in my type of car. What?/#&$:? Ive now been t the place for 1.5+ hours, for a job that takes an hour or less, and to besomewhere at 3. He says if he can dying find the fuse picture, itll be two seconds... Finally I suggest he call my dealer and talk to a Toyota mechanic. Said he has to have a picture. Again, what? He then left--off the clock at 245?!--in a huff and the original gentleman started helping. Asks for the owners manual--theres an idea! But why didnt the first guy think of that?! Anyway, its fixed and he asks if there was anything else wrong--how do I know and why didnt the guy finish or tell him?Lesson--the older gentleman is friendly and can help. If Jay is working, turn around.

Rented a uhaul at the end of May. Picked it up on Saturday, returned it on Monday. I got a charge for $977.34 a month later which put my bank account in the negative. That was on Friday. Today is Tuesday and I still havent been reimbursed. Ive tried to contact the store but cant. The manager was supposed to contact me over the weekend and I still havent heard from him. Come on Uhaul, get your $^!# together!

I stopped buy to get my propane tanks filled for my camper, the tanks have been certified with stickers stating certification that I paid and Joel at 2322 S. Federal would not fill my tanks, I showed him 3 different tanks with proof of certification and still wouldnt fill my tanks, for this reason I would rate it lower but I cant.
