I was offered assistance even though I didn’t had an appointment. The staff was friendly and helpful. They brought my U-Haul box container within 10 minutes. I didn’t have to wait much and I was able to get all my stuff out.
My move with Uhaul was a painfully miserable experience. Not only will I never use Uhaul again for ANY service, but I will go out of my way to actively advise anyone I know to avoid this company at all costs. My 2x Uboxes were not ready on the date I was guaranteed, nor were they even at the location I was told theyd be shipped to. The movers I hired through Uhauls movinghelp.com sat outside the wrong location for 2.5 hours while I remained on hold with customer service. I spoke with 7 people in 4 states and was provided 6 different phone numbers only to get hung up on by the location manager without a resolution. Before hanging up, this location manager tried to justify this runaround by explaining, “oh, nobody ever really picks up the phones here. Everyones in the warehouse.” When I finally spoke with someone after 2.5 hours, Uhaul took no accountability for my possessions not being ready and could not explain why I was provided a different date and location. Uhaul then advised that I cancel the movers that were sitting outside of their location through and that they would not be compensated for their time. They advised that I hire a new moving crew to pick up my box the next day, which was FAR more expensive than the moving company I hired 2 months prior for this job. Fortunately, the moving crew I originally hired shuffled their schedule around for the following day after and were able to accommodate us despite being hung out to dry by this Uhaul location.I ended up paying them an additional $200 out of pocket for their wasted time. When my Ubox DID arrive the next day, it was bulging at the seams with the front door falling off to the point where someone tried to secure it with a piece of plastic wrap. Uhaul has declined to take any accountability nor compensate me for this experience.
Getting a hold of anyone by phone is a nightmare. The people who dropped off and picked up were friendly. That is about the only good thing I have to say.
It was a good experience l didnt relieve that U-Haul had so many item you can use to pack with,for example they carry mattresses covers to protect you mattresses thats great and many other items to really help you in going though packing, thanks Angela N.
Location is primarily a warehouse, not set up for customer service, although the staff are polite if you can flag them down.Very unlikely to answer the phone, typically goes to the central U-Haul office. To find staff you have to use a walkie talkie—in my case the battery was dead which did not surprise the staff. Finally, location is prone to sudden closures without customer notification which subjected me, and another customer I ran into, to be unable to access U-Box or return rented equipment for an entire weekend.
Have not been able to contact anyone at this location by phone for a week. Told them when I was dropping my ubox off last week I would need it today because that is my only day off for weeks and now thier corporate scheduling team is saying I cannot pick up until tomorrow..
