Jon was very courteous and professional. I was very impressed by his customer skills and attention to detail. I had many questions due to the fact my Honda elite had been to a different shop and I had spent lots of money and the issues persisted. He gave me a lot of information and that gave me confidence to allow him to work on my scooter. Hehe gave me a follow up phone call to give me a status on the scooter. He repaired it just as he had indicated during my initial phone call. He is very friendly, professional, and just a kind human being. I would highly recommend for anyone to take a motorcycle and/or scooter to his shop. I am sure he will do an outstanding job.
Wow, awesome service! Jon was very professional and had my scooter back and running to me in no time at all. His prices were very reasonable, and he took the time to explain to me the work that he had done and the importance of the maintenance of the scooter. I also left a followup question on Jons voice mail over the weekend and he called back first thing Monday morning. I will definitely use Moto+ in the future and would highly recommend them to my friends!
Jon is great to work with. He is very professional and stands behind his work. Plus, he took the time to answer all of my questions.
My Yamaha Vino was in very rough shape and beyond my expertise to fix. I called up Moto Lab and brought in my scooter for a full evaluation. I could to tell in the first minute of talking to Jon I was in the right place. He let me know everything the was needed for me scooter to get back on the road and I felt really good about it. I would recommend Moto Lab to anyone. Definitely worth the endless smiles I have with riding my scooter again.Thank youNoel
We brought our mid-70s Honda Scooter to Jon and he essentially had to rebuild it, including having to look worldwide for a part that was no longer available. Jon brought it back to life, and in the meantime, introduced us to a Vespa we love. When we encountered an issue he knew right away what it was and fixed it for us. His dedication, integrity and love for scooters comes through in his work. Additionally, it was fun to listen to Jon talk about the history of Italian scooters and what changed historically in international manufacturing. He is a superb mechanic and a scooter scholar! Recommend without hesitation.
What a great experience. Ill be taking my Yamaha Zuma here from now on.
I had a great experience getting my scooter serviced here. Communication was top notch, prices were reasonable and Jon got it done promptly. I am a first time scooter owner and neglected some of the work that needed to be done-rather than speaking down to me about this, he was very informative and helpful! Will definitely be returning next year for my next tune up.
Every large metropolis should have a Jon at a MotoLab. Jon’s prices are more than reasonable. If you have American/European bike needing work give Moto Lab a call
They wouldnt help me with my scooter cause its Chinese, told me there POSS I DIDNT KNOW! I feel very prejudices against
My Roughhouse 50cc needed a tune-up, brakes, and tires and Jon (owner) was respectfully thorough. He made sure I understood the why and value of his work. I definitely will be going here for all service going forward.
Fast, quality service at a fair price. So glad I found this shop for my scooter.
Great experience from start to finish. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Personalized service and terrific results.
Jon at Moto Lab in North Denver is great, very thorough and responsive. Worth the wait to get in to the shop (mine was brief). The work they did was exemplary and made a total difference to performance. Highly recommend.
I cannot help but give this place a 5-star review. Fast, friendly, and way less expensive than --ahem-- other local shops. The owner seems like a great guy. He knows his stuff and had been cranking on motorcycles and scooters since before I even got my license! I believe in supporting small businesses, and this shop exemplifies why.Its a little out of the way, but well worth the extra ten minutes it takes for me to get there.Really, all this shop needs is a chair for me to sit in so I can take in the sounds and aromas of the hard work being done, the laidback atmosphere, and the decent tunes playing over the speakers. But lets face it, I still leave happy... and on a machine that runs one hundred percent better than when I brought it in.
Jon did a phenomenal job on our 2004 Honda Metropolitan. Well never take her anywhere else. Thank you Jon!
John is the best!!! He had my scooter up and running in less than a week! I’ve been taking my scooter to him for the past three years and it is always a great turn around and he knows his stuff. Also pricing is really fair and he always does a great job at communicating so there are never random charges. Thank you so much John and Moto-Scooter lab!!!
Thanks to Moto Lab, my Vino is up and running beautifully. John kept me well informed during the process and educated me on proper scooter maintenance and care. I am happy to support a stellar independent, local shop.
I called for help on my Stella and the owner was so helpful. I wish I took my scooter here but made the mistake of using someone else. Happy to know where to take my scooter and motos now.
You mentioned that you would appreciate hearing how my bike is working out so I wanted to get back to you and let you know that my motorcycle is running fantastic! I am thankful for your help with getting it to high performance because after experiences before coming back to you I was getting ready to sell it if you werent able to help. Anyway, I am thrilled and it is a joy to ride. Its been a good summer!
I brought my 50cc Vespa in to have them install a 70cc kit. John and Tony were both very friendly and are very knowledgeable. They took the time to make sure I completely understood what the upgrade entailed. The price was great (came in under a couple of other shops in the area that I contacted) and the time it took to complete the work was very reasonable. I definitely recommend these guys!
For me this is my go-to motorcycle repair shop in Denver. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences every time I come here. The turn around times are good and the prices are very reasonable.
MOTO Lab is the BEST. Always on-point with their repairs, affordable, know their stuff, and treat you like a human. Not only is the service personal and the work done well but they understand how important it is to keep you in the loop and work with respect. They saved me from small claims court by seeing some shoddy work from another scooter repair place and held THEM accountable. Yall are the best, really appreciate all you do for us.
Took my Bonneville here for 12k maintenance after all the dealers in town wanted nearly $1200. MOTO+Scooter was able to do it for nearly 1/2 the cost. While Im really happy with the results and attention to detail, it did take quite a bit longer than initially discussed to finish the job but I think that can be chalked up to a pretty busy time of year regardless of where you take your bike. Ill certainly be back for my next round of maintenance, but maybe during a less busy time of year.
I had a great experience with Jon at Scooter Lab. He was able to make an appointment quick and the turnaround time was just as fast. I felt welcome and there was no condescension, despite the basic nature of my scooters issue and my complete lack of knowledge with anything mechanical. No drama or ego to be found there, just passion and professionalism.I will definitely be heading back there for any future scooter needs.
Called for a tune up on my scooter. John was able to fit me in the same day. Looks like he did a good job and my scooter is running great. Reasonably priced as well. I will definitely be back.
Excellent service
My scooter needed a tune up and the day before I took it in, I got a flat tire. Tony at Moto+Lab was extremely understanding and helpful, not just over the phone but in person. Im new to the scooter world so he spent extra time on informing me on things to look out for and reasons why the scooter was acting a certain way.I will gladly take my scooter back and also recommend them to friends. Give them your business. I took my scooter in on a Wednesday morning and it was ready midday.
The most impressive shop experience I’ve ever had. No wait. Quick work. Same day. Best prices in town. Don’t waste your time (and money) at sportique. Come here for work on your scooter!
Great experience, dropped off my Buddy 50 at 2pm and within 2 hours received a call as it was ready to be picked up. I needed new brake pads on the front tire and was informed to bleed the lines, brakes are super responsive now and the bike feels as solid as the day I bought it. Other bike shops in the city have taken 1-5 weeks for similar services. Cant believe how quickly and efficiently my bike was fixed, definitely my go-to shop going forward.
Great shop. Tony did a great job taking care of my scooter. Brought it in on a Saturday and got it back the same day. Great little shop to go and get your scooter fixed or serviced.
I was new in town and needed to get my 72 Moto Guzzi jetted and tuned for the altitude. Before I could do that, it developed a gas leak. I brought it to MOTO+Scooter Lab and Jon was able to get it all sorted out. The bike is running great now. Jon was super thorough and communication was great throughout the process. Reasonably priced too. Thanks to Jon for getting my classic bike back on the road!
Awesome shop. If you want authentic service and someone who clearly loves his work and knows his stuff, come here. And if you dont need anything, come look anyway - this is small business at its very best.
These guys are the best at Italian scooter maintenance, repair, and overhaul. They clearly love what they do!Theyre super helpful, without the scooter-snob attitude that you might encounter at other shops in town.
Couldnt be better. Jon was super responsive, handled my services quickly, was fair and honest about pricing, went out of his way to explain everything he was going to do and did, and put me at ease throughout. Highly, highly recommended.
I always prefer working with mechanics who ride, and these guys definitely fit that bill. Moto Lab is my go to shop to work on my bikes because Ive known them for so many years and have always trusted them with my machinery.I also respect them because they excel on the vintage bikes and scooters (European and Italian especially). They have a passion for the old rides which is refreshing when so many dealers and shops only work on the new stuff.Jon and Tony are my guys to keep the bikes purring. If I ever own a scooter, Ill bring it to them as well! Highly recommend Moto Lab.
Jon did a great job tuning up my Honda Ruckus. Fast turn around, great service, and reasonable pricing. Will definitely be back after another 1,000 miles.
I had a GREAT experience with MOTO Scooter Lab. Tony and John are trustworthy, efficient and effective.I have two Buddy Scooters that were in desperate need of a check up. I had originally called Sportique (where we bought the scooters) and they quoted me 3 times as much to perform the repairs, plus they couldnt get me in for three weeks.John and Tony were able to get me in the day I called and repaired the scooters by the next day, for a THIRD of the price. I highly recommend this company. Great service at a great price.
Be skeptical of Motolab. The issue is not with the shop owner, Jon. He is a very kind man who, in his free time, works to raise awareness of men’s mental health issues. The problem I had with Motolab is related to their incredibly misleading communication, and subpar mechanical work. I have a bike from the early 2000’s with less than 8300 miles. It was garage kept and needed a carb rebuild. After being told my bike would be running in a 1.5-2 weeks, it took a month to even get a diagnosis. No communication was given whatsoever of the doubling of this timeline, what was being worked on, a quote of what needed to be done, etc. Every time I called I was told “you’re up next”----for weeks. I felt I was grossly under-quoted to get me into the shop in the first place [maybe there were problems with bikes in front of mine, though felt like maybe I was shifted to the bottom of the pile for more lucrative fixes/ Sturgis crowd]. Then I was over-promised to get me to stay. My bike ran fine before I dropped it off, it just needed the choke on the entire time (a blocked pilot jet), and was running really rich. On pick up, I had to give my bike 80% throttle to get it to even catch, completely grinding the clutch and almost jumping into the cars in front of me. It died every few blocks and was a nightmare to ride. I was told I needed to “get my valves adjusted” and that Motolab couldn’t do this work. Upon research and working with another shop, I was told the valves were NOT the issue, and that the carb was improperly put together. I felt like Motolab gave me the WRONG diagnosis of a problem that was NOT there before to cover their tracks and distract from the fact that they did not properly complete the job. Further, the original work order was for Motolab to rebuild the carb, AND do a general tune up (brake fluids, oil, chain, etc.). Only the carb was rebuilt, and nothing else was done to the bike. I was told this is because I told them I wanted my bike to be finished asap---which obviously was true….with the understanding that everything else would ALSO be done. Jon apologized and refunded my money, though I am now out a month and a half with a bike in worse shape than before. Maybe they are better with scooters, but I would definitely not trust these guys to work on your motorcycle. My advice to the shop--- be more transparent and active in your communication with customers, be more diligent in managing your inventory, and be more accurate and honest in describing your abilities.
This is a very very good business, Tony was great and helped get our little Vespa Moped running like a champ. Great service and very helpful. pricing is also very fair. Mike
Had my scooter towed here because it wouldnt start and I read some good reviews. Wish I had found you earlier! Great service and prices, not there to sell anything but service.
Not knowing what to expect I walked into scooter lab and was pleasantly surprised. John was completely transparent with what needed to be done to my scooter and walked me through the different options I had. Needless to say I would highly recommend scooter lab they are fantastic.
I called to ask about potential repair costs to a scooter I was thinking g of purchasing, and this shop gave me great advice on what to look out for. I will definitely be bringing my future scooter into this shop for maintenance!!
Absolutely love these guys. No one else has worked on my bike since I got it. Good work, honest consultation, reasonable price.
Love this place. They do amazing work for good prices. Super knowledgeable and very nice people.
Twice Ive taken a scooter to them. They always deliver. They are my go to guys when I need work been done right.
My names Colin and I run the big scooter place in town. My shop recently made an error that led a confused customer to seek assistance from Moto Lab. Rather than exploiting the situation to make us look bad John and Tony told the customer that there must be a misunderstanding, called us and afforded us to the opportunity to correct or error and please our confused client. This professional courtesy was greatly appreciated and emblematic of the idea that Denver is a big enough market for both of us. No question I will be sending customers their way in the future for vintage motorcycle repairs. Great dudes. Thanks, Moto Lab.
These guys were awesome!! We had been servicing our Vespa where we purchased it and were always surprised at the expense and the wait.....seriously, like 5 weeks for a tuneup! So my husband found MOTOLAB and we have been blown away. They did our tune and a few fixes in a day and were crazy reasonable with their prices. Plus, Jon gave us a lot of great tips and guidance on general care, especially for parking it over winter. In one visit were lifetime customers!!
I have only had great experiences at Moto Lab. I used to take my Honda Metro to Jon all the time at his old location and followed him with his move onto Lincoln Street. After my 2nd Honda Metro had gotten stolen, he highly suggested I look into a Genuine Buddy since theyre cheaper to maintain, run faster and better. Best advice ever! I love my Buddy and enjoy speeding through the streets. Theyve been nothing short of helpful and way better on pricing than all the big wig establishments around town. I will never go to anyone else!
I dropped off a 2005 Suzuki Bandit 1200 with some gummed up carbs. While servicing the bike it was discovered that I needed a new throttle position sensor. This is very thorough checking on the issue I was having with the bike. Russell called to tell me, recommended where I could find the part, and offered to pick it up for me to save on shipping. When I picked the bike up I was surprised to see that there was no additional charge for the extra work - it was just done. Shop is conveniently located, clean, and prompt with their work.
I first brought my scooter to sportique. The people who helped me there just seemed shady and like they were not shooting me straight on why my scooter is not running. Immediately he said my engine might be blown ( without even looking at it) he checked my oil and while it definitely needed changed he proceeded to tell me it had virtually no oil in it ( I can read a dipstick, it had oil). On top of all of this there was a 3 week wait! I asked if there was anyway to get it looked at faster or if he knew anywhere else. He suggested Honda dealerships and specifically asked me not to take it to Moto lab. They were the first ones i called and they immediately put me at ease and assured me Id be back on the road within a few days AT MOST most likely the next day.I had my scooter towed over at 3pm that day and had an answer as to what was wrong with my scooter the same day! I Went to pick it up the next day and Murphys law was in full effect and as soon as I pulled away it died on me and gave me the same problem as before. I wasnt the slightest bit worried as I knew both Tony and John would take care of it. I rolled it back to their garage and explained what was up and had them take another look. 2 hours later I had my scooter back running perfect and had an understanding as to what went wrong. Overall I had my scooter done and repaired in under 24 hours. I will recommend these guys to anyone with a motorcycle or scooter.Seriously very impressed and very much appreciate being spoken to with respect and not with an alarmist attitude saying my engine may be blown without having even looked at my scooter.
Great communication, and great service on my Genuine Buddy 50cc Scooter. Pleasure to work with.
Excellent shop with caring owners. Great overall experience with my Guzzi’s first service.
I bug these guys pretty frequently and even though I have got to be their worst customer (a Ducati owner that doesnt buy much and like to try and do it himself), they are never short of helpful advice or time. I cannot recommend them enough.
What a GEM!!! We have two scooters and take them here twice a year and the expertise and friendly staff is AMAZING!!!! It is so great to see a Denver business succeed like Moto Lab!!!
Had them rebuild my carbs for my bike. Vacuum line was installed wrong. But besides that. They did a Great job. Friendly group of guys and the price is right.
I chose MOTO+Scooter because of the reviews Ive read: Now its my turn to leave a review. John and Tony were both knowledgeable and professional (courteous, timely ). My Piaggio BV 250 had been neglected (shame on me) and in need of a full check-up and tune-up. The service I received at MOTO+Scooter was quick and reasonably priced. I highly recommend their service.
They did great work for me, very fast, and cheaper then the competition. Will be coming back.
Absolutely awful experience.I heard good things about this place, and brought my scooter to them for service. I explained exactly what I wanted, and made it clear that cost was no concern. They assured me that they could accomplish everything I asked for. After 3 weeks, they told me my bike was ready. When I arrived, I found that only half the work I asked for was actually done. One of the items (a carbon rear fairing) wasnt even looked at. Instead of fixing it (as I requested) they slapped a piece of black tape on it to hold it in place! Not at all the level of service I expected. When leaving with my (not completed bike) I started out of the parking lot towards the street. I gave it some throttle, and.....the throttle stuck. Now Im shooting towards traffic with a wide open throttle. I managed to brake and shut off the bike just in time. Russel apologized for the oversight (didnt check the cable after working on it) but still, I almost dumped the bike because of their lack of attention to detail.Fast forward: I had them order a new carbon fairing for the back (to replace the one they couldnt fix the first time). They also ordered some spares (their suggestion). I paid for all this, plus prepaid for the future service of installing the fairing. 3 weeks later, the shipment finally arrives....without my part. They tell me that the part was unavailable, and they werent told until the shipment arrived. I immediately go online to the manufacturer, see it as available, put it in my cart and order it myself. Its sitting next to me as I type. Finally, to add insult to injury....I call them on Monday to schedule for them to install the fairing. I leave a message (I knew I would, as they are closed Monday). I leave a message Tuesday. And Wednesday. And Thursday. Finally, I get an email on Friday saying they will refund me for the carbon piece. They dont even have the courtesy to call, instead they hide behind an email. Now Jon is emailing me (and being very rude) and basically saying its all my fault. He is claiming they didnt order any spares, even though I stood at the counter and watched while they did. And I paid for them. Not only that, but they are denying that I asked them to fix the fairing in the first place, even though they took a video of my initial consultation where I make it very clear that it is a priority.Abysmal customer service. Rude employees. Shoddy work. I will never give my business to them again, and I suggest you dont either.
These guys are awesome. Totally hooking up my vespa. They keep in touch with every detail. Tony is great and a amazing mechanic. Cant go wrong with Moto Lab. Pricing very resonable as they work with you. Great authentic european parts etc. thanks for hooking me up guys you rock!Giuseppe
Jon fixed up my Ruckus, its never run so good. Prompt, professional, quality service are a few of the words I would use to describe Scooter Lab.
I came to Scooter Lab with my Genuine Buddy 50cc after having a poor experience at a different scooter repair store just down the street. I was amazed by the genuine customer service i received from Jon. He didnt only fix my scooter he helped me to understand what was wrong with it. He even took pictures of the repair taking place so i could see what was going on. He is very knowledgeable. Very quickly Jon caught a very seriouse safely issue with my scooter that should have been caught by the Dealer.Scooter lab is the place to go.The shop is not the easiest to find but is totally worth seeking. They offer substancialy better service at a better price then their competitors. I will definatley be a return customer.
Jon at Scooter Lab is a great mechanic! I was having some issues with my Vespa, so I brought it to him for a tune up and oil leak fix. He finished the repairs a few days earlier than estimated. When I got the scooter home, I had a few issues with the repairs. I called Jon up and he was very apologetic, ordered a part overnight, and came out to my house to fix the problem. Talk about customer service! Ill be taking my Vespa here for all future work. Thanks!FYI - the Google maps pin for Scooter Lab is not in the correct location. Make sure to navigate to the address directly!
Tony and Jon offer top notch service and support. They got my 40 year old Vespa running like new.
I am very picky about who i trust when it comes to the service of my motorcycles and i definitely trust the guys at moto lab to do the same job i would when i comes to doing things right... I have taken my ducati monster, ducati 750ss, and my MV Agusta F4 in for services and every time they have been nothing but professional and fair when it came to getting thimgs done... The bikes i have are rare and not easy to work on and they have come through with flying colors every time... Always a good experience and definitely recommend them.
Although my experience thus far with MotoLab is minimal, I recommend for anyone with a scooter issue to give this shop an honest chance. They are true gearheads and clearly love what they do -- and I am willing to bet that any issue that might come up could be handled through constructive and thoughtful discussion (rather than through belligerently negative reviews). MotoLab got my 2004 Aprilia Mojito 150 running and back to me within two days after three years of not riding; and while they recommended further service, they did not hassle me to schedule with them as other shops might have done. The scoot ran well enough for the balance of the rally season, and its now back at MotoLab for the recommended service -- and I have every confidence that they will treat me exactly as I treat them, with respect. For those questioning the four star rating rather than five -- I dont give *anyone* a full rating.
I brought my Honda Ruckus to Scooter Lab to have them repair a simple electrical problem. 10 minutes after i left, it broke down in the middle of Denver so i brought it back. This literally happened 3 times over the course of about 2 weeks. They were never able to figure out the problem and each time i brought it back i got different stories and lies. In order to get a refund i had to walk in there with my camera rolling and argue with the owner until he assaulted me(on camera, genius)and then finally gave me a refund so i wouldnt press charges. I took my scooter to a real shop and they immediately noticed that Scooter Lab used the wrong electrical part which was causing the new problems. In the end, A simple problem cost me $650 and weeks of headaches because these wannabe-mechanic hipsters didnt know what they were doing. So yeah, 1 star.
Fellow tech. Good guys, great shop
Jon worked on our scooter. He is most awesome, and now, so is our scooter!
Good service
My Triumph motorcycle sat for 6 years. I cannot believe how quickly Scooter Lab got it up and running after all that time, especially with the issues I brought it in with. This is our new mechanic for both our Triumph and Harley Davidson from here on out!
Nice
Good work
Expensive but valuable
