I was in and out of the store in under five minutes, because I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome.Went to look for a new mattress, and immediately felt uncomfortable when I walked into the store. The two women sitting at the front stared at me when I walked in, almost as if they were confused as to why I was there. After a few curt questions from an associate, asking me if I had been on the website, as though that’s a prerequisite for shopping at the store, I then started trying the mattresses.It seemed as though it was an inconvenience to get a pillow and a pillow cover for me, when I was trying the mattresses. I was then rushed to try the mattresses. Probably something that shouldn’t be rushed at all. After being rushed to try the beds - three beds within less than five minutes, I excused myself from the situation. I think the associate had gotten the point that she made me feel uncomfortable, because she commented and said she liked my purse.After the interaction today, I felt humiliated, like I shouldn’t have even tried to come into the store. Horrible customer service, and would not recommend. There are multiple other family ran and designed mattress stores, that have much better customer service and would not treat their customers like an inconvenience.

Great experience at Urban Mattress Denver. I walked in and was asked very precise questions such as what I was looking to spend and how I sleep. Both were matched perfectly and I was in and out in 20 minutes. Would highly recommend !

I’ve been shopping for mattresses this week. I shopped the Denver location yesterday and was far from impressed. The sales staff was unresponsive and provided a bare minimum of service. I believe I actually knew more about their product then the young woman that “helped” me.I kept describing my sleep situation hoping that I could maybe have some help in selecting a mattress but the only question I was asked was how much my budget was.I was offered no pillow to use, and after trying 3 mattresses while the salesperson stood and watched without so much as a saying a word as to what I was trying out I left.I don’t understand why so many people rave about this place!

I would give this 10 stars if I could. The mattress has changed my life and the buying experience couldn’t have been better. Annika was so knowledgeable and within 20 minutes, had me sold on a mattress that addressed all my needs and was within my budget. Delivery was so easy and fast. But best of all is their products. In the past decade, I’ve shelled out for Serta pillow top, Sleep Number and Winkbed mattresses and a fortune in chiropractor bills but always battled lower back pain. After a month on the Highland mattress, I still wake up every morning amazed that my aches and pains are completely gone. Do yourself a favor and get the pillows as well - I’ve never been so in love with a pillow before.

I rarely write reviews, but the customer service is over the top here, I thought I must. I have purchased 2 mattresses from them (2010 and 2020). They are both high quality and great products, but the customer service is incredible. Knowledgeable, helpful, quick to respond, on time, communicative, ……. I could go on.

I wake up every morning hating the bed we purchased here. It is not worth the money! You can find quality beds elsewhere for a better price - guaranteed! They are great at selling the bed and the showroom is very inviting but dont be fooled, the follow up we had when we discovered an issue and had to file a warranty claim was horrendous. They pass the buck to the manufacturer. They could have stepped in and tried to make things right but they didnt. I really wanted to love this bed and am so sad that I dont.

Bought a mattress from these guys a couple weeks ago and every part of the process was great. The sales staff is not commissioned so there was no pressure/salesy feeling when we were shopping. The mattresses were more comfortable than big brands that are more expensive, and the warranties are like twice as long as anything else weve seen. Delivery was super easy and free and they were prompt and communicative.

Ive worked in customer service for more than 30 years, so I have high standards.Jon Branch was knowledgeable, informative, professional and congenial. My girlfriend and I had some specific wants and needs and no mattress-buying experience. We were initially apprehensive, but Jon listened to us and was able to answer our questions without pressuring us, or using hard-sell sales techniques. He offered a selection of viable mattress options, as well as price ranges. He intuitively knew when to assist us and when to leave us to discuss and make decisions on our own.I also appreciate that UM is a local family-owned company I try to shop locally and support small independent businesses whenever possible and avoid giving my money to big-box chains with no vested interest in my community or politics. Additionally, UM gives a part of their proceeds to local charities and carries environmentally-friendly products.Before I shopped, I researched many Denver mattress companies. After all the false sales and misleading information from many of those companies, I found Urban Mattress to offer competitive prices, higher quality non-toxic products, and fast, free delivery and pick-up/disposal of old mattresses.I cant wait to sleep on our new mattresses! These stores are amazing! Originally I made my purchase a little over a month ago and since then, I dont have pain going down my legs from my back anymore. It is wonderful to go throughout my day without worrying that it hurts to walk. I have recently started physical therapy for the rest of my back pain and if I still had my old mattress, it wouldnt be helping like it is!When there was an unfortunate circumstance out of everyones control, Ethan called me personally and gave me several different options. I truly feel he went completely above and beyond to make feel comfortable through the entire thing. Literally every chance I get to let people know how wonderful Urban Mattress is, I do! I am happier now with less back pain. If you have any hesitation, just walk in and talk to them. There will be no regretting it! After having two mattresses from another local company fail after just a few years, I was fairly desperate to find the perfect mattress and get a good nights sleep. My thought was to work my way down S. Colorado Blvd. to try every mattress in my price range at every store (I think there are seven within a mile) until I found one I could both afford and be happy with. Urban Mattress in the Belcaro Center was my second and last stop.First off, there was zero sales interference or pressure. This was the most low-key shopping experience of my life. Jon, however, was stealthily eavesdropping on my conversation with my husband, and when the moment was right, he casually said, I think you need to try that mattress up front. Im pretty sure thats what youre looking for. He was absolutely right. Jon worked within our budget, answered our many questions directly and honestly and in such a friendly way, I felt one-hundred-percent comfortable committing to my purchase right then and there.Weve had our new bed, The Highland, for just over two months, and so far, we love it. I have truly never slept better. Were thrilled with the 100 nights to try it out option, and the bed came with an excellent warranty that is unlike anything weve ever seen for a mattress. All around, purchasing our new bed from Urban Mattress was an exceptional experience.

Wonderful, knowledgeable staff and incredible products! This past year we 2 purchased mattress toppers (one to help make a bed more firm and another to relieve pressure points for another mattress.) We recently purchased a natural fiber pillow and travel pillows made to our specifications. They are fantastic! Highly recommend this store!

What a great place to come get a mattress! The staff is very friendly and not pushy. They offered me a beer and seemed more like they wanted to hang out then they did sell me something. It was very refreshing as many other companies are simply trying to sell you something you may not want. I would highly recommend these guys above anyone. At the very least grab a free beer.

Great buying experience . I hate shopping and I am a salesperson professionally . Did not want smoke and mirrors in the sales process. I chose my mattress and the General Manager I felt was honest and to the point . Was impressed as he multi tasked other customers in the store but did not ignore me and checked in with me while he greeted others. One price including mattress, base, tax and delivery . Chose my delivery window three days later, the delivery guys were early and called me as promised the day before. Good value, independently owned and easy . Very happy

My girlfriend and I walked in there on a pretty slow Sunday and were pleasantly surprised with our experience at Urban Mattress. The environment was relaxed, informative, and patient. Another great thing about Urban Mattress is that they donate 2% of your purchase to one of four local charities. Which we thought was awesome and we wished more businesses took part in helping their local communities. (maybe a little more than 2%, but at least it isnt nothing).

First off this was a no pressure sales experience. This was my first time buying a mattress so I have no first hand frame of reference but I hear that other places employ high pressure sales tactics and there was none of that here. Also their beds are manufactured locally so if supporting local is important to you they do that. They gave me a deal on both mattresses I was interested and price seemed very reasonable. Chad and Toby delivered, they were very friendly and efficient. All around a+ experience, highly recommended.

Urban Mattress lives up to its Colorado roots with one of the most dynamic selections, a clean and calm show room environment, and free and efficient delivery. I ended up upgrading my mattress after learning more about the design, which was no issue. The staff is very knowledgeable and dont be afraid to ask a lot of questions. Really easy to talk to and work with, and yes the Acadia mattress is really nice for the price. Individualized coils, nice foam and bamboo finish. Plus their commitment to donating proceeds from every mattress to support the greater Denver community is awesome work that illustrates their love for the city.

We walked into Urban Mattress not knowing anything about the place. They had a $299 deal on the window for a Queen mattress and we thought it was too good to be true. Low and behold, it indeed was true. We were greeted by a man named Stephen who was very informative about the brand and the company behind it. Turns out, all employees at Urban Mattress are salaried, so they are not trying to sell you a mattress you cant afford just so that they can get a commission. Another great selling-point is that when you buy a mattress, you can choose a charity to send some of the sale to.Needless to say, we felt more than comfortable buying a mattress from here. We ended up buying a Queen mattress that was more than the $299 deal, and it still was at a VERY AFFORDABLE price. As someone who just moved to Colorado, I would highly recommend this privately-owned mattress company. The experience and quality of our purchase was worth every penny.

My husband and I had been putting off buying a mattress for months but with guests arriving a week later, we knew we couldnt put it off any longer. We were prepared for sales pressure and overall an unpleasant experience. Thankfully, our experience was great. Jon asked us what we were looking for and showed us a few options in the price range that we had expressed. He gave us time to test them out and answered our many questions. Never once did he pressure us to make a purchase. They were able to deliver it within the week. Afterward, we decided that we wanted a different box spring, and they coordinated the switch that day. Our guests raved about the bed after visiting for a few days. Overall, it was a great experience, and we now have a comfortable bed for guests.

I love their customer service and products. I bought from Urban Mattress previously in 2015 when they were at their old location and I was very pleased with the mattress, which is why I went back a second time. Their quality has gone up since my first purchase, price has too but they still have better prices than other mattress shops. I am sure no matter what your looking for you will find the perfect mattress at Urban Mattress. Stephen helped out this past purchase, but no matter who you get Im sure they will be just as helpful as Stephen.

My fiancee and I browsed mattress stores up and down Colorado Blvd and we had the best experience at Urban Mattress. We havent actually received the mattress yet. Its scheduled for delivery later this week, but I think its worth mentioning that so far we have been very pleased. Friendliness and customer service aside, we actually liked the mattresses at Urban Mattress more than any other store. I plan to update this review after the mattress delivery. Provided its the same as the one we tried in the store, the 5 star rating will remain.Update: Weve had the mattress for a few weeks now and love it! The delivery was on time. The delivery guys were fast and careful. The bed is exactly what we wanted.

We were very pleased with the customer service of the Urban Mattress team. In the beginning of our search for mattresses, we visited Urban Mattress in Park Meadows where Mark did a great job of explaining and matching our needs to mattress types. We wanted to do a little more shopping to consider our options, and we ended up returning to the Urban Mattress in Glendale where Johnnys service was equally great. The quality of their mattresses, their socially-conscious values (UM donates a portion of your purchase to a list of social-minded organizations), and customer service is what made us satisfied customers!

After having to ditch my moldy Select Comfort bed, I wanted an organic mattress and Urban Mattress did not disappoint. So far the bed is amazing, and we couldnt be happier. I love the fact that they carry wool and recycled latex pillows...even crib mattresses. The customer service was great, staff was super helpful, even the delivery guys were awesome! With the assistance of Stephen, going to Urban Mattress and purchasing a new bed was easily one of the best customer service/shopping experience my girlfriend or I have ever had.We chose Urban Mattress on a whim and were shocked at how easy and relaxing our experience was. Upon arrival Stephen came by to introduce himself and give us some information on the company (which is amazing) and assured us we would not be pressured to buy anything and to take as much time as we needed. After discussing concerns, needs, and preferred size, he grabbed us some beers and identified which mattresses would best work for us.Stephen put us at ease and made sure we were completely comfortable by stepping away, not hovering, and provided us with some spectacular pillows to use while testing out the beds.If that wasnt great enough, Stephen told us they provided free delivery and donated part of total sale price to a charity, which we later chose when we checked out.

As my initial review disappeared, I will try again. As their other online reviewers say - we had a nice buying experience. When we left the store we felt we had service on our side for the life of the warranty; we felt we might even get 10 yrs usage out of such an excellent product. Imagine our surprise when our mattress degraded after 18 mos. We learned that the manufacturer had had numerous quality issues, and essentially - was in deep water for such. We felt confident that Urban Mattress could work something out for us. But instead, they really ran us through the ringer with communications we felt were unbecoming to their firm, as well as, an ever-changing story on what our next steps should be. We took many pictures, at their request and got them approved, jumped though many hoops. I imagine most simply give up. When we finally walked into their store for a partial replacement, we were proactively asked how we survived those conversations. We were asked by an employee! I understand that to mean, the staff is well aware. That says it all, eh?

Dont bother going to mattress firm! All the mattresses here were far more comfortable, the people were fantastic--super friendly, informative, and just the right amount of attentive (they let you be to take a three minute nap on each of their suggestions, and believe me, their suggestions are dead on), and the prices/value is great (not to mention that they have local beer on tap). And hey--its a Denver company, and all the mattresses are made here in our city! Ethan, the owner, was helpful, funny, and there was no pressure to buy, but we did! There are zero downsides here, people!

From the start to finish, Urban Mattress provided an excellent experience. I visited several mattress stores, but UM was the only store that inquired about my budget and proceeded to showed me mattresses within it. The other stores inquired about what type of mattress I wanted, but not about my budget. They did not have anything I wanted within my budget and also charged a delivery fee. Given these factors and my initial good customer service experience at UM, I returned there to make my purchase. I tested a mattress over several visits there before placing my order. When the mattress arrived, it was not as soft as it had seemed in the store. I contacted the store and was told that mattresses in the store are more worn than new ones and they recommended trying it out awhile longer, but that, ultimately, I could exchange it if I was not happy with it. I slept on it several more weeks and it still didn’t soften as much as I had hoped it would. I worried that I was stuck with an unsuitable mattress, yet, true to their word, they let me exchange it. Not only that, they delivered the new one and took back the one I previously purchased, without any additional delivery fees. My newer mattress is still softening up, but I am pleased with it and my experience at UM. The employees are friendly and educated about their product. They have a wide range of mattress options and you will get more for your money there. Furthermore, they donate a portion of their proceeds to local charities. I highly recommend Urban Mattress.

Shopping for a mattress at Urban Mattress was a great experience. My boyfriend was dreading mattress shopping but his mind was quickly changed when we went here. We were offered coffee or beer while we shopped and the salesperson, Stephen, directed us to a few mattresses that fit both our budget and other requirements. The whole process, including delivery, was very easy. They even sent a delivery truck to pick up our box spring a week later when we decided we didnt want to keep it. Not only is the mattress terrific, but we picked up two of the best pillows weve ever owned. Great experience all around.

I ordered a mattress online from Urban Mattress and discovered it would not arrive for at least 10 days after the order was placed. Having visited the store prior to ordering online and receiving great customer service, I decided to pop in to see if they could take over my online order somehow (I expected not, but worth a shot). When I walked in, I was immediately greeted with a smile and even better customer service than I could imagine. I explained the situation and they confirmed they could not take over the online order. However, they offered to provide a bed at no cost until my new one arrived. When I declined this, they offered to place the order for me and have it delivered within the week. After chatting a bit further, we talked about which mattress I wanted originally but then settled for the much cheaper one. They immediately offered to give me the more expensive bed for the matched price of the less expensive one and threw free sheets on top of it (provided I write a review). I couldnt have walked out any happier or excited for a bed!! They take good care of you!

I picked Urban Mattress based on their great reviews and close proximity to my apartment, and I am thrilled that I did! Stephen made the process of picking a new mattress quick and simple. I managed to get a new bed frame, mattress, and mattress protector for a good price, and I was happy to learn that a portion of the purchase goes to a local charity. Free shipping, too! I would definitely recommend this place, and I will probably return soon to get some new pillows as well.

We have now been to the store twice, once to purchase a new mattress and now the second time to exchange it for a different one. Both times the service has been awesome, no pressure, answer all our questions, and help us in the process of selection. The first time we worked with Johnny and the second time we worked with Ethan, both gentleman are great to work with, very paitient and knowledgeable. Working in sales, i understand customer service and these two make it truly seem like your best interest is in mind, and they are just there to help guide you through the process.

I have yet been able to pick a mattress that translates into a wonderful sleep experience. Johnny, at the Belcaro Store, was very adept at figuring out what might be the best fit. Ethan, one of the owners, was there for additional background information and support. Bottom line; it truly felt like it was all about creating the best fit for us...plus they carry amazing products. They truly believe in and follow their simple approach. That simple approach includes customer service...remember that? We figure we will end up saving money by finding the best, and quality, product for our needs. Do yourself a favor, check them out.

I was sleeping on an 18 year old mattress and when I needed a new one, I did a Google search for a store close to me. Urban Mattress (UM) on CO Blvd is only a few blocks away. I was convinced that a Tempurpedic was the best mattress. I bought one and within 30 days or so, I was not sleeping and in pain. Back I went to UM and requested a new mattress using their 100 night guarantee. I ended up with the Iris mattress, one of the UM made products. Its been the best mattress Ive had. The whole exchange was simple. No questions asked other than how can we get you sleeping well again? Im a customer for life now. Thank you guys!!!!!

What a wonderful mattress buying experience! Jon was most helpful explaining the different mattresses and wasnt pushy at all. My wife and I had planned to visit several other stores in the area but found the perfect mattress and decided right then and there that we would be wasting our time looking for something else.

My husband and I had a great experience at Urban Mattress today. Jonny was very attentive to our needs and was able to explain the differences in each mattress. He didnt pressure us to buy but when we did, he helped us snag a great deal on a mattress for our room and a guest room. Were so happy we went to Urban Mattress- the laid back attitude but quality product was excellent for us! We love that were supporting local business as well!

I dont write reviews often, but I feel Urban Mattress deserves a shout out. I also wanted to reinforce the solid reviews that I saw online prior to shopping for a mattress. Those are why I stopped into the store in the first place.Simply put, I went in with an idea of what I wanted: a budget-friendly queen sized firm mattress that I could flip. It was a specific order, and I was open to the mattress not being flippable. The sales rep immediately directed me to a floor model mattress that completely fit the bill. (In other words, he listened to and respected what I wanted!) It was a discontinued line that retailed for close to $4,000, and he sold me the mattress, box spring, and a metal bed frame for $600. Delivery was also included, free of charge, and I had it in my apartment that night.The $600 was a little more than Id originally budgeted, but the mattress is definitely worth it. Its super firm, and Ive been getting incredible sleep. I just relocated from Boston, where I had a queen size firm Tempurpedic, and this mattress is at least as nice as that, if not better. I couldnt be happier.I also really like that the founder/owner used to work in nonprofit, and uses the business to help others in a variety of ways, from donating a portion of sales to area nonprofits, to their hiring policies. All around, great business. I cant promise (no one can) that youll find your dream mattress at Urban Mattress, but Id definitely recommend stopping in there to see what theyre about and what they have.

20 minutes and I purchased exactly what I needed, exactly what I wanted. General Manager Jonny Branch has the best casual non-salesman approach Ive ever encountered. Well played sir. Just moved to Denver and had my first night of great sleep. Also- Omar and K, did the delivery. Less than 7 minutes of excellent professional work. Thanks guys.

Like many others reviews of this place the salesperson was not pushy at all. They do offer you a beer if you want it and the shopping experience was quite pleasant. My only issue was once the salesperson had the sale he didnt seem to listen. I had said to setup up the delivery for before 3pm but was scheduled for between 3pm to 5pm. Lucky it was worked out. So far the mattress has been great and would recommend checking them out

When I moved to Denver, the mattress I bought from a friend of a friend got sold to someone else the day before I got there. I came in to Urban Matress after being extremely disappointed at mattress firm and I thought that there’s no way I could afford a mattress here. I went in and the two owners were so incredibly nice and helpful. They found a mattress and frame that was within my budget and got them to deliver it the next day. I was actually almost in tears. They are a really wonderful company with super comfy mattresses!

I actually live near boulder but I had a bad experience with the Boulder store recently. I called the Denver store on Saturday and Ethan (owner) was really friendly. I drove down on Sunday and he helped me find a great mattress, mattress pad and a nice pillow to fit my sleeping style. Oh, he also poured me a beer!

I love this place. The salespeople are knowledgeable and give the customer space to experience each mattress. The quality of the mattresses is excellent too. I appreciate the natural fibers of the mattresses and I love that theyre local and give back to the community.

Ethan made getting a new bed as easy as possible. Asked me what I wanted in a bed, and he took me on my way. Showed me three beds in various prices ranges and stiffness. The online reviews for Urban Mattress seemed almost too good to be true--until I dropped in at the South Colorado Boulevard store. I cant say enough about the folks over at Urban Mattress...nowhere else can I imagine anyone would go to such great lengths to make sure their customers are happy and satisfied. We had a tough time finding the right mattress, and Ethan was so accommodating and understanding. He even worked with us to swap out a mattress after we mistakenly removed the warrantee tags--this was truly going above and beyond. He could have easily said there was nothing he could do. We had the best possible experience at Urban Mattress! We had previously been to some of the bigger warehouse stores, but we really turned off by the pushy sales tactics. I cant say enough good things about Urban Mattress and the owner, Ethan. We had purchased a rather expensive California King set from them in August 2014, and it seemed that month by month it became more and more uncomfortable. As we all know, life gets busy and just never got around to (or remembered!) to contact them. Finally, on Wednesday I emailed them to let them know we were unhappy with the mattress. Mind you, this is over two and a half years later. Ethan responded immediately, and once I emailed him a copy of our original purchase receipt he contacted me and said they had had massive problems with the model of mattress we had purchased. He said to come in and he would give us FULL CREDIT toward a replacement mattress and would deliver the new one and pick up the old one. We went in today, completed the sale and are looking forward to the delivery next weekend! In an era of corporate businesses not caring about their clients, Urban Mattress is a breath of fresh air! Honest small business owner - you cannot go wrong working with Ethan!

After shopping around at the other larger mattress stores I found myself returning to Urban, their selection and service couldnt be beat. No pushy sales tactics and their pricing is straightforward.
