A couple weeks ago, i stopped in to get a few keys made for my vehicle, I ended up having a little issue with a lockout. Justin, the manager there was very professional and helpful. Went above and beyond to take care of me. He is the reason I will most likely be an ACE customer for life!

Cant say enough about how helpful and knowledgeable the staff is here. They took the time to explain exactly how to do the home repair I was working on and set me up with all the items I needed to get the job done. They set me up for success! Im not a handyman by any means but when I need information on how to do something they always come through. Shout out to James for always helping and always having a smile.

This seriously is the best Ace Hardware. Everyone is so nice. They always go out of their way to try to help you. And theyre good at helping you with your project, even when you use technical terms such as thinga-ma-jig and whatcha-callit. I used to go to Lowes and Home Depot because I thought they were cheaper. But I would end up having to return item after item because it broke only to go to Ace to find a better deal on it anyway and a friendly face to help. Theyve made a customer for life.

Always a great experience and I like supporting the smaller stores instead of Home Depot whenever I can. Awesome customer service from every employee there. The guy that helped the most was Henry, I bought a 5gal bucket that I actually needed the bottom cut off of and he did an awesome job and even took the time and attention to detail and sanded the sharp edges off the cut. This Ace Hardware stands out above the rest! All employees are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I go here over Home Depot due to the attentive and friendly customer service. Saw a bucket full of old batteries with a sign that said dead batteries: 10 pcs/ 1$ ;...I think they should be free of charge.I was approached by a fellow shopper who mustve had an inkling about me, he was holding a can of spray that was so toxic it asked for my number, but before that the fellow shopper asked if the spray (labeled wasp killer) was good for hornets; ...I said of course not, it kills them!I went to the paint desk to ask about a color I remembered seeing, she told me I must have been mistaken on either the color or the brand I was describing, because no such combination exists. It must have been a pigment of my imagination. The guy in plumbing asked if I needed help, and i told him I was trying to decide my first concern to put in a new bathtub he replied water pipes,...lI said, you sure you work here?I was strolling along looking at the pressure treated lumber when a worker came over and said you here for decking? I havent been in a fight since high school but I put him out like trump on Sunday after threatening me like that.The cashier was a timid and creaky old coot that must have seen himself once in the mirror before going fully blind, because the state of terror he was working with felt as if he hadnt ever fully come back from nam. Im kidding the twisted mandrake, he knows hell always be obsolete to me.

Hes always ready to help with a positive attitude but he actually gets the job done right too no matter how complex the problem is. Ive been refurbishing a very advanced piece of professional cleaning equipment that is already pretty rare in the market place for which it serves as some of its accessories will no longer continued to be manufactured though. This ACE hardware has the fastest special orders Ive ever experienced. I special ordered a Yeti mug for my brother and wanted to give it to him for Christmas. I ordered it on Monday and it came the very next day; just in time for Christmas! The super helpful and knowledgeable staff helped make my holiday season easy and stress-free. I will definitely be returning to this ACE to do my holiday shopping for years to come!

I came here the other day to get a Phillips screwdriver so I could replace my license plates. Turns out, one plate had Phillips screws, and the other had the security screws (totally new to me!). Of course, I realized this after I purchased the Phillips screwdriver and got one plate on!I went back inside and asked for help identifying what kind of screwdriver or bit I needed to remove the others. Luckily, Boston was helping me and he not only found the correct bit to remove those security screws— he came out and removed them for me at no charge!! I didn’t even need to purchase the special bit or anything; he just offered to come out and do it (I absolutely would have purchased one had he not offered).SO NICE! I couldn’t believe it. Truly great customer service and so extremely helpful! It made my stressful day so much better! Thank you again, Boston!

I like that the store is smaller and not the size of two football fields like the other hardware stores. When I walk in someone greets me and asks me what I’m looking for and then directs me there. When I need to know how to do a project, they have advice. The customer service is some of the best I’ve ever seen! I live in Aurora, but come to this store specifically because I’ve had great experiences here. Highly recommended!

However, with such an immensely powerful reputation for the satisfaction of their customer base you think that would be hard to measure up to the hype on a local scale. But from personal experience, Cherry Creek Ace hardware is a luminous lighthouse of creative thinking, has a warmth that feels like home, and hosts a haven of the most helpful hardware people known to man. I am writing to acknowledge the outstanding customer focus and service provided by James and the team at the Holly Ace Hardware. We needed a patio heater for a celebration of life event. We had already spent quite a bit on catering, flowers and other event items. We stopped by Ace and worked with James to identify a great patio heater. We discussed our situation and he thought of options to help us get the heater we wanted. He put us the customer and our unique situation first (focus) and helped close the deal. He also helped load the heater into our car. Big box home improvement stores dont always go the extra mile but James and the team at the Holly Ace did. Even though I can buy most things online now a days, I still take the extra time to go to Ace Hardware because of their superb customer service and expert knowledge. This particular store was no different and in fact they raised the bar even higher.Chuck not only helped me find the parts I needed, but took the time to teach me how to properly use it. I found his charming personality and technical expertise so wonderful that I asked him every DYI question that had been plaguing me for years. I was planning on paying a professional hundreds of dollars for repairs, but instead left with $20 worth of materials and the knowledge on how to fix the problem myself. And that isnt something that comes with an Amazon Prime membership ha.

We went to Lowes and the service was horrible. In need of plumbing supplies and so went the the Ace Cherry Creek store. The emoyees there seemed to bend over backwards to assist in getting the right parts to work on 50 year old plumbing. Definitely a 5 star rating and 5👍👍👍👍👍

I had an excellent experience at Ace. Chuck Z was a huge help, as I am starting to get into wood working. I’m trying to recreate an ice cream sign that stood outside my great grandpa’s ice cream shop in the 1800s. Chuck answered all of my questions and I definitely will come to him again.

Update: I really appreciate that the manager and owner of this branch took responsibility and proactively worked to remedy my unfortunate experience. I have since given them another try, and my husband has continued to shop there as well for household repairs and other needs. Recently weve been working on fixing a leaky tub and so far have been able to get what weve needed with better customer service since my experience a few months ago. Im grateful for that.~~~Living close to this store makes it a place my husband and I frequent. Often I get great customer service, but it can be quite hit or miss... and we’re typically able to get most of what we need for house projects which is good. But today, I went in to buy paint, and the woman who was sent to help me was really quite rude to me and makes me question using this store in the future. I have many years of customer service experience and know what good customer service should look and feel like for both parties, and that is not at all what this woman delivered to me today. I am an easy customer, I always try to be kind, but when someone talks down to you, belittles you, calls you “sweetheart” in a condescending way about 100 times, gets irritated at you, and treats you like you’re dumb, it makes a person not want to be a customer at such a store. It just takes one employee being a jerk, you know? What chaps me even more, I know I likely wouldn’t have been treated that way had my husband been shopping with me. It’s a shame to let this kind of thing happen to customers who did nothing wrong but ask for assistance. Treat all customers with respect and dignity and your store will do well, period. I hope no one else has this experience, and I also hope that Ace takes a moment to do some customer service training so that others don’t have this kind of experience.

Thanks for nothing.I had positive experiences here before and thought I would spend my money at a small local business rather than a big box store. Mistake. I waited while the staff helped every single male before asking if I needed something. The salesman offered, grudgingly, to check in the back. He said it would take a minute, like I was really putting hum out. I asked him politely to check. He came back out; walked right by me without saying anything. Then helped a couple more men, while I was standing there. Next he proceeded to assist a leggy young woman in short shorts pick out a tiny vial of varnish. I still waited for a few more minutes,trying to get a response.I finally left. I will never go back . I have no interest in giving them my money to a business that gives me no respect.

I just finished my first bathroom remodeling project with lots of help from this awesome Ace staff. I encountered lots of unexpected plumbing problems as a result of old fixtures. Chuck and James and the whole staff were more than willing to take the time to help me trouble shoot and find the best solutions. They never talked down to me or made me feel like I was wasting their time. And now the bathroom looks great and nothing leaks! Thank you!

She helped me but after went to talk to a coworker and began talking about me negatively to the gentleman she was with.... I was very upset but everyone else was so nice I couldnt give too bad a review.... Will update if service is better in the future....I will change the review to five stars when my son visits me.... I came in the other day to buy some bird food and was acquainted with Boston.... He was such a pleasant man.... I was also very impressed with how the young man in the Garden area conducted himself... I do not remember his name but he had red hair.... This was on a different day, though.... I came in looking for a rather specific lightbulb last week that home depot and Lowe’s didn’t have. A worker named Aaron hunted it down for me before I could even finish explaining to him what it looked like. I was impressed with his knowledge on the different types of bulbs they had. At the register, Adam checked me out lightning fast. I must’ve been in line for a minute, maybe. I’m thoroughly impressed with the store and it’s staff. I will make sure to come here first for all of my hardware needs.

I love this place. They have all the fun hardware stuff, plus the staff is so attentive. I had a carkey fob made, and it wasnt going well with the new tech. The guy wanted to give up and send me elsewhere, but instead called the company, got some tech support, and figured it out. They are great.

Neighborhood hardware store well stocked with inventory and helpful employees. So much faster getting in and out than the big box store. That said, theres a manager who was rude and unhelpful both times Ive interacted with him. An extremely rude guy who seems to manage the place among other bad reviews. Managers name is James - avoid this guy and youll have a fine experience.

This is now my go-to place for all plumbing projects. Ask for Chuck ‘Z’. The guy is awesome, very knowledgeable, and will help walk you through the entire repair but doesn’t try to sell you anything you don’t need. It’s great to support a neighborhood business and the service will save you in time and frustration. I’ll be back again and again.

This place is like an extension of my garage!!!! Whenever I walk in the staff are friendly and prompt to help. The Assistant Manager J.T. also supplies my business with cleaning products and paper goods. This service has been very easy and cost effective. If this store doesnt carry a product I need they are happy to order it for me. I Highly recommend doing business with these folks!

I was getting ready to head out of town for five days and needing one screw a washer and a few other things not only did James and his evening crew stay open past time for the store to close he also milled down the acre to make sure it was the right fit for the job. Door greeter helped direct me quickly and efficiently to everything I needed, including advising me that I didnt have to carry all the potting soil bags in and that the cashier would know how to ring them up from outside. Very friendly.

Dropped by yesterday with an urgent need for an automotive quality bolt/nut to fix my car shock. James jumped right on it and even came outside with tools to install and tighten it! While we were working, an elderly lady fell in the parking lot. We rushed over to help her along with a customer about to enter Ace. After we helped her up (she was ok), James radio’d his store team and asked them to give the helpful customer $5 off whatever he bought. Clean store, great selection, amazing service.

I have been coming here for years. the last 2 times have not been good experiences. i must attribute this to new management. man in garden center not at all pleasant, unlike the woman who was there before and so helpful. people dont know where anything is, but it is mainly attitude. this always comes from the top down. good luck. i and all my friends wont be back.

I have been to this location more than once over the past several years. This morning, I went in looking for a replacement piece for a sliding chain door lock. Unfortunately, this part is not sold individually, and I am not able to replace the entire assembly because the property is a rental. One employee saw me looking at alternative Solutions, and stopped his opening routine to help me. He was able to find a wonderful solution that cost me only a dollar and some change, saving me several dollars and several hours of headache. He was friendly and a lovely conversationalist to boot! I would rather pay a few cents more to experience the customer service at this store van save a few cents and go to one of the less personal, larger chain stores in the area.

Went to this store when I first moved to the area for a drill bit to cut glass. I have worked in hardware for many years including being an assistant manager of an Ace Hardware in NY. When I walked in, I was shown to the drill bits, but they didnt seem to have the diamond drill bit I was looking for, the woman who showed me the section went to get someone who knew more about power tools and bits. This man walked over and handed me a tile bit that can be used for glass. I explained that I had one of these but it takes a long time to get through the glass and that a diamond tip bit would work better for my project. Then I was lectured on how you are supposed to drill slowly. I wasnt talking about the speed, but the amount of time the project was taking, and if he didnt have what I needed, which wasnt that special of an item, he should just say so, or offer to order it for me. He stormed off muttering about women and how I think I know what Im talking about but didnt know s***. Walked out with nothing and ended up at the Home Depot where the associate there got me the exact bit I needed and asked me to show him pictures of my lamps when I was finished. Will never step foot in this store again.

These guys are the best. They always are knowledgeable and when I have a problem they do everything they can to solve the problem quickly and easily and without trying to upsell me on something I don’t need. I have to say, that of everyone working there, James has really impressed me with his customer service and knowledge.

I live a block away from the Tamarac store but I go out of my way to go to the Ace on Holly. Ive worked with James over the phone and he also helped me in the store. I have never experienced better customer service from anyone, ever. He goes out of his way to make sure he has done everything he can to find the item Im looking for and if not he searched on the computer. Although they were very busy James made me feel like I was the only customer in the store. I have met a few of the other employees and they were helpful and more importantly, very knowledgeable. The Ace Hardware on Tamarac and the one on S. Colorado Blvd. do not live up to the commercials on TV. You wont find helpful hardware people at those two stores.

First of all, I’m never going to Home Depot again.I’m always greeted with excellent service at Ace and friendly associates who swiftly direct my inquiries, but my experience today with the manager of the Ace at Holly and Evans, James, galvanized me write a review; which I rarely take the time for.I went in looking for a bunch of strange items to build part of a laptop stand I am building for my drummer’s live rig, so we can put our mixers and laptop all in one place.I had some ideas of my own, but I am so thankful that I ran into James, who took an interest in the project and helped me to conceptualize its construction. I choose my words carefully, because not only was he friendly upon greeting, but he, an employee of the store, actually took an interest in helping me realize my crazy scheme. I’ve never experienced anything close to this level of service, especially at a chain.“I need a dowel and a ladder rack.”“Okay let me show you to ladder racks.”“Mmm, I need something with a flat bottom.”“We don’t have anything like that, but let me ask, what are you using it for?”“I need something to hold a laptop, since they don’t sell musician’s laptop stand tall enough for my needs.”“You need it to hold a laptop? Come this way, let’s look at some sheet steel.”And on and on, through using PVC pipe, instead of a dowel, helping to create a steady surface, how to cut the metal so we could wrap it around the computer for safety, how to cut holes in the sides so I could access the ports in my computer, how to mount the thing to the crate it all goes in, how to make the PVC collapsable with joints and sanding one end of the pipe,what kind of bolts to use so that the bass vibrations of the stage wouldn’t rattle anything lose. I honestly could not have realized my goal without his help. He basically built the thing for me. Which is, I think we’d all agree, well beyond his duty. And speaking of his duty, he also dealt with a bevy of other customers and an online returns issue that arose (wrong colors, nothing bad) all during the two hours he spent helping me.To top it all off, he stayed to help me complete the project for 15 minutes after close, without even hinting that I was inconveniencing him, or that the store was closing. And he was happy the whole time! At this point, I’d like to give an ancillary shout-out to Roz, who helped James make some cuts in the back, as well as the clerk and other employees, who showed no sign whatsoever of being upset with me that they weren’t able to leave home yet.While I was checking out, James ran up beside me and handed me something. He must have run from the back of the store where I’d left him.“You’ll need this file for the cuts on the metal, so it’s safe”What an excellent experience, I will forever go to Ace on Holly and Florida for any and all hardware needs, basic to crazy. I know that I will always get whatever I came for quickly, but also, help in figuring out what it is I didn’t know I did need.

The people that work here are much more knowledgeable about tools and things than they are at any Home Depot.

After waiting 3 to 5 minutes to be acknowledged by an elderly lady at the register, I tried to return an unopened ACE brand hole saw with a receipt and was denied. I was told that the item needed to be returned to the Colfax location because they didnt carry it...an ACE brand hole saw...isnt carried at this ACE Hardware store.If thats a policy, ok, fine. But buyer beware. Shopping at ACE isnt as convenient as shopping at Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart, or any other chain that stocks hardware supplies.

Talk about going above and beyond for customer service! I had excitedly bought a new lawn mower ($185) after purchasing my first home and could not be bothered to read the instruction manual (since Im a guy) before playing with my new toy. All went great for about 2 minutes, it was cutting grass like a charm, when all of a sudden the engine started sputtering. Then the recoil rope wouldnt budge any longer. Panicked and slightly upset, I quickly took it back to ACE for the manager and staff to look at. In a few minutes, they diagnosed the problem right away. My moronic self forgot to add the motor oil that came with the mower and now the engine had seized.Right out in the front parking lot, James the manager (on his lunch break!) and his staff quickly tried to fix it, first by trying to loosen the ?motor by striking at it, and when that didnt budge I was sent to buy some anti-seize. I had voided the warranty by not adding motor oil so repairs wouldve been costly ($400), but the ACE staff were not giving up yet. After meeting them out by the back dock, James got down and dirty and loosened the main part with antiseize and voila, got the entire mower to work again. Spectacular job!Anyway I hope they wont get into trouble for this since this was not in their job description to help repair...but the guys felt really bad that I had literally just purchased it and were doing all they can to help me fix it. My hats off to you gentlemen for the attention to my predicament and giving me a crash course on basic engine troubleshooting/repairs. I dont think I wouldve gotten this kind of service, dedication, and expertise at a HD or Lowes. Thanks so much for being there and I know I will always go back for future purchases because I can count on them to come through. And James, hope you finally got to eat your cold pizza... :)
