Unfortunately have had enough bad experiences I feel the need to leave a review. I live around the corner and want it to be good but its not. They are missing basic items you would expect such as a portable heater. They dont accept returns from other stores. They are rude when addressing either of the two former points. Their online inventory is inaccurate. Their marketing campaigns are misleading. All round probably doesnt deserve to exist. Sad. Fwiw They had a few rock star employees a couple years ago but they seem to have not been treated well enough through the pandemic to still be there. Im putting all of these issues on poor management. Hopefully it turns around.

Nothing better than that old fashioned Mom & Pop type of service rather than the BIG box hardware stores. Oddly enough, when you cant find it in those Giant joints, you can almost always get it here.

Worst customer service ever.. Dont go unless you want some little girl telling you that you are rude because you asked a question. Who knows must be her time of the month. She was so rude and vulgar to us when I asked her name she so I can can contact her manager she said Im not giving it to you. Then some lady standing right there stated she was the manager to have a nice day. The little girl even told us to go to the other ACE hardware. These people represent ACE hardware? No wonder the store was empty. I think this little girl need some massive training in customer service skills before being in public. HOME DEOPT here we come, way to go ACE hardware.

It was great to see if you have any ideas for me to set up for the game but all I see is everyone is walking around and dont cares if anyone else needs helping this were you need to check out this place time to move on and your fired

Is there a better ace out there? Maybe... But this one had everything I needed, let my dog walk around the store and gave us a treat at checkout.No complaints

Found some interesting, pretty annuals to plant. Very pretty, rare colors. Plants look bright and healthy. This is a busy, neighborhood store, but offer great customer service.

This is a nice neighborhood store, and I shop here often. I usually find what I need here. It is true that prices are a little higher than Home Depot or Lowe’s. However, convenience and shopping local make up for that. Last time I went in to buy paint someone helped me right away. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Always receive great customer service and its much easier to navigate Ace than the big box stores.

Called the store to ask if certain item was in stock. Talked to a female cashier and was told that they had it in stock. Walked over a mile to go grab it and when I arrived they said they do not carry it. All 3 cashiers played dumb when I asked them about it. Thanks for wasting my time. Terrible service.

I was blown away at all the stuff this hardware holds. Gadjets galore and so much moreI had a hello kitty door key made and just looked around. I love crafty artsy things and now i know where i will be going!! Staff was unbelievably awesome for how busy they were. I appreciate that!

Whenever I need hardware, Ace is the place. Especially different or hard to find hardware.

$7 for a toilet supply line.Theyll have the part, and likely have someone to noodle over something with you to see if your DIY ideas are foolhardy or not, but itll come at a bit of a premium.Ill grump about the mark up but at the end of the day, Ace is in the neighborhood and normally has a part thatll work when its needed. They also had a bunch of toilet fill lines that fit older and specialty toilets, so its not like they even have a small selection. Theyve got the right parts in the right places around town ...but $7.Yes, Im the guy wholl shake his head at the $12 beers at a game, then still buy one. but still

Ive only been here a few times, but every time the stafd were incredibly helpful and were able to help me find the exact thing i needed. i called over the phone to check stock on an item once and the person who answered even gave me the price for what i was asking about, which i immensely appreciated

Tried to make a purchase wouldn’t serve me without a mask ... pulled my shirt over my face (literally no different than a bandana) said no.... tried to call order in... said only online orders can do curbside and those take days .... cool I’ll give my money to someone else. Have fun going out of business ace.

Went to get spare keys made. 4 were made for 2 different keys but none worked. Called to let them know they need fix the machine. The response was “yeah we’ve had a lot of people complaining their keys don’t work. You can get a refund or exchange.” How about you fix your machine instead of knowingly selling faulty keys?

They told me on the phone they had quick set cement. It was not quick set. And I couldnt get any help taking out 5 60lbs bags of cement. And I have a permanent 10lbs restriction on lifting. A customer helped me.

This ace hardware is super lib. Every time I’min theres atleast one or two shoppers wearing some liberal agenda shirt. It’s not a terrible place to shop but I definitely prefer other aces where people are overly friendly and plenty of help this one not so much with the added liberal layer it’s a 3 star at best

Very kind and helpful staff. Smaller store, but its in a convenient location. Well organized and well stocked, doesnt have a large yard/garden section.

The customer service was good but there no change policy is a ripoff. Ace is exploiting a bad situation and making money on it, taking advantage of their customers. I personally will not be back ever again because of the way they chose to do business. Although they are not the only business claiming a change shortage, at least King Soopers will put a credit for the change on your KS card. In the 3 times I have shopped there at Ace, they have kept a total of 2.63 in change, now multiply that times all the other customers that have been taken advantage of equals a lot of undocumented extra cash. Is this even legal? I wonder what the IRS would feel about this practice. You can buy the same products they have at Home Depot or Lowes for a cheaper price which is where Ill be doing all my future shopping!

Almost nobody here really wants to help you out. Most of the staff just walks right by you even if its obvious youre trying to find something. The store is always cluttered, so no one knows where to find anything, not even most of the employees.

Ive lived in Sunnyside for a few years now and have constantly been disappointed but this store. Whether its things ringing up for the wrong amount always in their favor, the staff having literally no idea about how projects are done to be able to give you advice because theyre all teenagers, the unprofessionality of their staff where they move about the store swearing, or theyre exorbitant prices, this Ace hardware is God awful. I can only hope that the Fox Street Home Depot comes in and Ill be able to go to a hardware store that isnt abysmal.I want the shop small. I do. I would love nothing more than to be able to help us small local hardware store. But this place isnt that.

Got yelled and kick out for not having a mask, when I had my shirt over my nose and mouth with my hand holding the shirt in place, as a temporary mask. Since I needed to buy some more and I don’t stock up like others do, I buy when needed. They said its not the same when the CDC is saying use a cloth mask or old shirts as mask and not to use the n 95 mask as they are desperately needed. Came in the store to buy one sprinkler coupling and some new mask. For the very reason not to use my shirt as a mask when in public. So I had to go back to my truck to get an old discarded mask I had in the trash.

I was looking for some specific nuts and bolts and other less specific items and they had it all.Parking is across the street which is weird, but no big deal.They have a popcorn machine for the kids and adults.The staff member was super helpful and tried to help me solve my problem, but in the end I made my own decisions because you know you gotta go with your gut, but I appreciated the help none the less.Will definitely shop here again!

Love that we have a neighborhood hardware store. I hope the big stores like Home Depot and Lowes never push places like our Ace out. We need neighborhood stores like this where we know peoples faces, and they know us.

Happy to support locally owned businesses, but the employees move a bit slowly and dont always know which end is up. Kind folks, but not very motivated.Historically Ive gone to Ace because they have what you need, and they know what theyre taking about. Not so much anymore, on either point. Have had to go to big box stores more in recent times because they have what I need and I can look at an app to figure out where it is in the store.Ive been here often, and will be back, but it is becoming more frustrating to go here.

Customer service can be a bit static, but knowledgeable. Prices are a bit high, but to be expected in the Highlands.

Whos played the gap game?I challenge you to try to make it to the back of the store without an employee asking if they can help you find anything. Without being dressed like a ninja and even then I bet they get ya!Plus they have a good selection and always nicer staff than Home Depot or Lowes! They will walk you to what you are looking for and never roll their eyes at dumb questions. : ) or at least the ones Ive heard other customers asking... Not me.

The staff was very helpful. We came in looking for two things and they were able to help us locate both of them. I was very impressed considering it’s a smaller store.

Close, stocked, and knowledgeable. Someone mentioned they cost a bit more: Its just a few percent, if any. The service and proximity more than balance it out. Need something simple? Parked, in, and out in four minutes. I go here, over the big boxers, any chance I get.

It was ok, there is no where to lock up a bike. They act as if they are wanting to help if you need anything. What they were really doing was loss prevention. Lol. I understand, people do that. I am sure they deal with shoplifters daily. Thats not my style, but they made me feel like that was my intention. Just go get what I need and leave. Not a big deal. I will go there again but only when I have to. Not a bad store, just not comfortable feeling like that.

This place is a joke. Extremely poor customer service, ridiculous prices and high schooler staff. Its obvious nobody is taking their job seriously here. Im surprised theyre even open. Dont waste your time, if you live in the neighborhood.

Most hardware stores understand that during a pouring rainstorm - if someone comes in looking for sandbags its is likely an emergency.Not so with the genius crew at this place. Theyre too busy working on their garden display to get to it.Hopefully this place goes out of business and a Home Depot can come in with competent staff.

The prices were not higher 5gan the big boxes in fact it was lower it was lower item for item as I had a late night trip to a big box and checked. Ace is the place. Great and available parking. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They had everything in my project list. I highly recommend this store! Shop local and support local independent brick and mortar retailers! Plus online with any Ace hardware is fast free to store shipping and ordering and arrives fast. And no hassles with returns. In this digital age of impersonal and often wring items from other online only retailers this is a great experience and took no more time than the biggest monsters in online. I hope they continue long after the big guys disappear. One day people will appreciate actual test service provided locally by excellent retailers at local addresses. They employ a number 9f actual people. Its not gig economy and everyone seemed happy. We shall all regret if we lose all the great retailers in real time in brick and mortar stores devoted to our communities. Unless community is old fashioned and we only e communicate and automate until theres nothing for humans to actually do? Automation and the loss of these fine institutions will not better serve humankind. If humankind simply becomes impersonal and ai replaces us. This is a smaller neighborhood Ace but the staff are helpful and friendly and I can get there easily. The selection is a bit small and scattered.
