This is a smaller footprint version of Whole Foods. They had everything on my list. Produce was in great shape and store was neat and orderly. I tried the fig and walnut bread because it sounded so good - and it was! Lots of figs and walnuts were in there.
Disappointing. Purchased sliced cheese in pick-up and go cooler. Cheese slices melded together. Not useful as a cheese slice! Crumbles, yes. Upon realizing this, cut an inch end off slices (melded together, used in alternate recipe) Returned. (My time walking there and back). Remedy, the clerk subtracted the weight of what was cut off and returned partial cost of $3.55 package. Customer service? I wish I had not accepted .01 cent of the refund. My point in taking back was to say, This is not a useful product when cant be used as sliced cheese. Clerk was not really interested in the point of the return, but returning $2.66 of the cost! Insult! The man on the street corner received the $2.66.
Man, I am *so* happy that the WF down the street reopened. The Ideal Market vibe is a bit cozier than the old Whole Foods, and I love the focus on local, organic food. Theres also beer and a cute patio. My favorite part is the expansion of vegan options in the takeout/bakery section. I snagged an Asian-inspired ginger scallion grilled tofu/kale/quinoa dinner meant for two for like 12 bucks - totally reasonable price given that Ill get 2-3 meals out of it. And its delicious! I didnt have to doctor it up at home! They also have these gorgeous vegan cakes and mini dessert bars, all of which are amazing. I love that a lot of the produce thats stocked comes from local farms. And lastly, perhaps most importantly, the store seems to have been designed with pandemic precautions in mind. The checkout lanes are spaced far enough apart that people dont end up standing two feet from each other while in line, and the cashiers have nice plexiglass shields. In short, I love this place.
The only point to this place is to provide a mediocre salad bar to people with too much cash in their bank. That and the constant police presence make this a truly miserable experience.
Delicious Pepperoni Keto Pizza 🍕 Unfortunately, will never shop here again after the manager told the police officer that my friend was stealing and then accused me. Also kick a African-American gentleman out of the bathroom for taking to long. ☹
Plenty of oatly! Also, Brad was great! Thank you for the excellent customer service.
Wide selection of Gourmet prepared food, pizzas, meats, cheeses. Along with drinks and healthy snacks. Clean and friendly .
Love that this was opened!! Great experience at every visit!
Love Whole Food Hot Bar.
Clean friendly fully stocked
Ok. I didnt leave a review but... the prepared food is horrible. The chef, whoever it is, allows way to much salt, way too much garlic in the prepared meals that we spend a great deal of money on. Ive tried twice, I wont try again.
You should go here if you like great service or friendly people and dont care for being rushed through the aisles because of crowds. You get your moneys worth.
Great clean food!
This place just opened today and is amazing. I love this concept and had an amazing rare beer. Keep them coming.
Excellent Service, fantastic barista!🥰
This location has re opened and has a great selection, thoughtful layout, bar, coffee shop, and so vegan items are very clearly labeled.
A ton of grab and go options, freindly staff and a great location!
Clean, well spaced and an easy in and out.
I didnt know the hours of this location, but since it is on my way home I tried to stop by and arrived after close. While I was looking up hours the security guard told me it was no private parking. He wasnt mean about it, but the way he said things makes me not want to come back to this location.
Darn, this is right on my way home from the office
We drive pretty far now to get to this specific whole foods. Use to live two blocks away and when we moved to Sunnyside we still head here for weekly groceries. The cashiers are so nice and weve gotten to know a few of them! Good selection for being pretty small. Fresh juices juice and lattes in a little bar area where you can also sit and eat. Patio outside too!
I love it, I love it, l love it. I like the beef brisket and the organic fruit and the pizza and the salad bar and I like it a lot better than the Fresh Market. I like the variety and selection and the juice bar. I dont go as often since I moved up valley but I can still recall. So we beat on, boats against the current, born back ceaselessly into the past.
Awesome produce
I unfortunately had a bad experience earlier. At another place (European Wax Center) which lead me to writing my first review. But luckily my experience at Whole Foods was amazing. The employees are very helpful, joyful, and professional. I will be coming back time and time again.
CAUTION: Could be YOUR MOST EXSPENSIVE Whole Foods visit at Managers Discretion. I visited, what WAS my favorite, Whole Foods just after 2100. After my shopping I stopped into the establishment across the street for a quick bite to eat before bearing the snowy roads back home. I finished up and crossed back across the street at 2150 and my car had been towed, with a $315 bill waiting for me, I was certain they closed at 2200.I just hope my groceries are okay. Or else it would not have been worth a God Damn thing.
Love the place esp the salad bar. Nice people. I like to call this location Baby Foods because its a smaller store compared to their flagship stores which fits in nicely with Cap Hill.
Great Whole Foods. I will be glad when they open the new one by union stations, however I believe a lot of people in the nearby neighborhood wont appreciate the move. Nonetheless, it is a clean store with well stocked shelves. Not the biggest one around, but they do carry the essentials.
One of the best locations here in Colorado. Great big Store offering major selection. Clean and kept organized for a blissful shopping experience. Staff is always positive and helpful.
First, let me say that I am a huge fan of Whole Foods, but I will never walk in this Whole Foods location again. The man behind the deli counter was wiping down counters with a dirty rag and then began packing my deli container without changing gloves. He then took the lid to my deli container, dropped it and pressed it against his slop covered (no exaggeration here) jacket and then onto my deli container...yum. Then he filled my other container..drops some potato salad on the counter...and then flings it in the container with his nasty unsanitary gloves. There are pieces of spinach hanging out of the container... which he just leaves there. He hands me two containers with food all over the sides of them and things hanging out of them. It was a mess. I wouldnt trust anything that comes out of their kitchen. On top of that, he was rude and aggressive. I legitimately left my purchases from the deli, bought my prepackaged almond butter and ran away from that place as fast as possible. Thats how people get sick Whole Foods...you need to retrain your staff!
Had a great experience the folks that worked here were very helpful As I was looking for homeopathic medicine supplies. It is a little small compared to other newer stores but liked the down home feeling. Writing this review because of the hospitality.
Good luck getting anyone to help you. Employees look down at the ground or stare at their clipboards when you get close. This store has the old hipper than thou attitude....Great products, priced sky high. Even though it is way closer to me than their competition, I choose to shop with the competition:)
How many times do I have to tell you people the pizza at Whole Foods is good no joke I wouldnt lie about pizza Im very passionate about it.You should go have a slice I personally like the marguerite pizza named after Princess marguerite To really wanted to have a pizza named after her back in the day I guess that was really prestigious.I also just recently tried the chocolate muss it is great.
Really good neighborhood market. Its a smaller Whole Foods but they still have plenty of great stuff. They have the best produce in town. The staff is awsome and they have great samples. Im here almost every day.
Love the salad/food bars for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Always delicious but a little over priced since its done by weight.Great produce and products
Great new store. The prepared food section is massive. Sushi grade fish at the seafood area.
Its a chain so nothing spectacular but our own personal experiences. Love the deli. Always friendly staff makes me return.
Great staff, nice neighborhood store. Coffee bar is the worse though, coffee seems to be permanently empty, tables are rarely cleaned, and juice bar people are always screwing around yapping to each other and ignoring the room. Im in there all the time too, so its not that I caught them on an off day.
I have been going to this Whole Foods for a year now and I think the staff is really nice. However, the prices are terribly high and they have only gone up since word got out about the store relocating. Several products I used to buy are no longer offered and what I do still want is so gosh darn expensive! They are milking it hardcore. What a slap in the face to so many people that have been supporting the store for so long. Honestly, Whole Foods isnt all it is cracked up to be. Corporate kind of sucks and they are all in it for the money - not the community or the push towards good nutrition and sustainability. Lots of grey area there. Wont matter for long anyways, since this particular one is leaving.
I LOVE the vegan black bean soup. But I live on the western slope and we dont have a Whole Foods for 5 hours. Can anyone who knows, tell me their recipe? Im not vegan but it is that good.
Great soups for cold weather and very friendly team. By the way its a Neighborhood Fresh Produce Market @ Capitol Hill area.
Smaller than your usual Whole Foods. This one is my fav. Staff are helpful and friendly. Easier to get around the store. Makes grocery shopping fun.
Produce are always fresh. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I live 5 blocks away so its super convenient too.
Love it all you want folks. Theyre closing our favorite store. Yes, it will be gone by fall. You should speak out and let corporate know that this decision stinks. I refuse to shop in that horribly crowded warehouse in Cherry Creek or the soon to be unhealthy Union Station pit theyre planning to build. Take away quality for the sake of money. Keep doing that Whole Foods, black mark on you. The one star is not for the store - the store gets an off the charts 10 out of 10. Corporate gets 0 for trading quality for profit, such a dead song.
Best little WFs in town. A sad thing that this great neighborhood spot will soon be gone.Thank you all for being there when we all needed you!
Standard Whole Foods experience. Typical Whole Foods selection and pricing.Only detractors to this location are the staff attitude and availability. Staff can be difficult to find for help locating products. The general attitude of employees is cordial, but distant and hurried. Employees seem to be focused on working tasks other than customer assistance.
This is our neighborhood store, always crowded, a good place to grab lunch, or the needed item or two. Sadly, this store will be closed in October, 2017. We are not sure what will go in its place. Too bad, as I said, this store is so well used by the neighborhood.
Small, neighborhood store. They still have salad bar, hot bar and make pizza. Friendly staff and a well stocked store considering how small it is.
Excellent staff is incredibly friendly & helpful. Well sorted shelves. Tiny meat dept. I find Whole Foods deli dishes uniformly bland; This place is no exception, but has tasty veggie options. Tiny bulk section since they arent Wild Oats anymore. Non-organic strawberries! Might as well buy those at King Soopers.
This place is excellent. My only problem is that it is easy to spend an entire paycheck at this place. Prices are through the roof!
Great selection of all sorts of groceries, including bulk items, as well as pets, home and personal products. Ill be very sad when they close this store. :(
Thought I would explore a little and stopped in just to look at selections. A worker asked if I was found everything alright then gave me a popsicle. Awesome! I will be back!
Flagship store. Great as far as Whole Foods goes. Pretty pricey! Check-out the $3 wines in the liquor store!
Its expensive. But what whole foods isnt? A lot of selection though. Place to sit down and eat. Good food. Fantastic desserts (ok I just had the cupcakes, but still).
Denver Half Foods would be a better name. I walked 1.6 miles from my accommodations in Denver assuming that this would be like other Whole Foods I had been to. Major letdown. Abysmal selection on most items.
A really good store that has natural foods. The people were extremely nice
Whats up with this place? No bags? A bag of Frisky s Cat food 20$ Really? If im spending 20$ for a regular bag of Frisky s I better get a bag to carry it out in.
Large, clean, good selection of general goods. Very sad selection of about four different beers. Not much in the way of travel size products.
Great whole foods that is always stocked well! on the smaller side of the average grocery store but still seems the have the essentials that would need to cook any meal (saying that as an Average cook)
Every staff member is friendly, helpful, and empowered to take care of you. Things are rarely out of stock, the store is always clean, and I truly enjoy my weekly visits.
This whole foods is small but has the essentials and parking is always better than the one at cherry creek since so many people walk here. However the staff is incredibly obnoxious. Many of them have been there for years and clearly take their planet-saving eco-friendly organic cashier jobs quite seriously (if you dont believe me just check out those huge glasses covering half their faces, thats how they identify themselves to each other). If you ask them to double sack something its like you asked them to kill a puppy. At other whole foods they will gladly do it with a perky sure! and a smile, but here they sigh, stare at you with disbelief, try to convince you the bag isnt that heavy, remind you how much the bags are rated to hold, ask if they can split the weight across two bags, and make a huge production of it, dragging out the whole process to really drive it home that you are KILLING TREES. Its always a little power struggle with them. This has been going on for years. I sometimes ask them to double sack just because of how amusing their reactions are. You should try before they close down this location and move to union station.
Generally fine but checkout staffing baffles. Tons of checkers midday but peak times, two? Three? Nice long waits.
I have been here countless times on my way to work for a brown bag lunch/dinner. Much like any WF you can expect really good food for really too much. Lots of bicycle parking, outdoor seating, and not far from downtown. Note –this particular WF has flies in the cafeteria area.
This whole foods is right by my work so its convenient to go for lunch and get salad bar.
Smaller store than were accustomed accustomed to - but well laid out and despite the size we found everything we needed.
Picked up a nice cake for my friends bday part. Came out great!
This was the best Whole Foods Ive ever been to. Yes it was small but it was my Neighborhood Grocery Store. Sad to see go.
Great selection of healthy food. Bring your own bags to save 10 cents per bag or donate it to charity!
Great store - very attentive to local community. Parking lot gets a little congested because of course Cap Hill forever has a shortage of parking, but great store!
Little smaller then average whole foods but a good place to sit and work.
Very y high quality food and great friendly and efficient service.
This is my favorite Denver location - it always has the freshest produce, the people are always friendly and its small enough to be convenient to pop in quickly but still has everything I need. Disappointed that location will be closing down in the fall.
Good store in the Cap Hill area. They have all of the regular Whole Foods stuff.
Really nice place. Good location near Cheesman park and Botanical Gardens. Close to the #10 RTD bus line.
This is whole foods, everything is always fresh, prices are not bad and their bakery selection is to die for.
The bartender is an absolute lass and will show you a good time. I got bloody wrecked here. what a time
The blandest, most expensive Indian food ever. Skip the hot meal section. It smelled better than it tasted.
The Perch is the spot for great juices, coffee breakfast or snack inside whole foodsIt is greatFeels like home
The meat selection is bad. Worse then safeways and more expensive. Whole foods usually has a good selection but this one has discolored meat and is low on the good steaks like ribeye. They need an internal inspection fron headquarters or new management
A smaller whole foods. Good selection, not enough parking and very difficult to get around there by car.
I love everything about this whole foods!! Fresh produce and amazing prepared foods!
They have a lot of good healthy food that is good and they have most of the stuff you need
I like this Whole Foods because of the convenient location but if you are used to a large more full service Whole Foods, do not expect that at this small location. As always a lot of the stuff is overpriced but it is definitely quality.
Tiny and cramped, I wish they would ditch the holistic BS aisle for more produce and bulk foods. Good seafood counter.
WOW!I just read the review by Lu Tripp, about the cashiers stealing from him/her. WOOOW!The same thing happened to me. But I called them and I could prove it. At first I asked the manager at the Customer Service about this and if they do anything for a customer who this happened to. She said NO, and then gave me the difference of prices to get me out of there, didnt say anything else. I asked her one more time, and she gave a quick, rude NO!I wrote to Corporate Whole Foods, and they told me that is not the policy at all. They refunded my whole purchase and sent me a $25 Gift Card. Just yesterday I had a cashier roll his eyes at me and tell me Fine, you can have your $.10 back because I didnt want to pay the $.10 bag charge since I wasnt using one. However, THE PIZZA AND BREAD DEPT. in the back of the store are SUPER COOL people and not pretentious like this cashier who rolled his eyes over my $.10 cheapness.ANYWAY, I just called WHOLE FOODS TAMARAC this morning to see if they had a pancake breakfast this morning. All the other WHOLE FOODS, here, Boulder, Wisconsin, AZ, they are all ok. IT IS JUST THIS STORE IN CAPITOL HILL THAT IS MISSING THE MARK! Dont Go!
I wanna have everything for here, its great products.
People are friendly but Ive seen in the dairy dept multuple times where half of the milk had expired dates.Shop at your own risk....
A great neighborhood grocery store with a good cafe and well run. It can get really crowded and they should expand the store and reduce parking.
Small WF, reasonably well stocked. Helpful staff.
Small but usually has all the things Im looking for. People are much better here than the other Denver locations.
Great selection. Has all the special items I am looking for.
Great selection. Love the produce and smoked fish.
Whole foods is a great place to shop at its very great place to eat and very cheap and better yet its a great place to get organic and natural medicines at.
Very nice set up with a large selection and very helpful staff
Love this little store and the fact they have real kombucha.
I was worried when Whole Foods took over this location but they have made it feel like its always been in the neighborhood. Great selection for a smaller store.
Clean store, great selection, friendly staff; good sales.
Great Parking! Friendly staff! Great store to stop in and get groceries!
I really like whole foods, however, this place will freeze you to death with the AC before you are able to concentrate on shopping. What an uncomfortable experience!
