His is a terrible company. The initial process and ordering the door was fine. They sent someone out to measure the door to make sure they could order correct. The person who came out was the owner. When the door came it was about 2 short on each side, so total of 4 difference. Luckily they can use trim to fix, but they also measured the base wrong. I am still waiting for them to come take care of this two weeks later. I have also received emails asking for final payment.During the demo process the more experienced installer was training a new staff member, he had told him to be careful as the house is 1900. told him to cut out as much as he could. On the last item of the door that could have been cut out the guy starts yanking on it and the plaster in the house falls out. The installer apologized and said they would fix it. they also messed up the paint on the door and incorrectly painted the interior black, and blamed it on me saying it wasnt in the paperwork that their employee wrote down. I was there the entire installation and hear the installer talking to his boss, explained the situation and what he told me. I get a call after he hangs up from the company and they tried blaming the broken plaster on the house and said they wont fix it.I have had terrible experience. my door isnt complete, its an inch short, they wont come when they tell me and expect me to wait at home all day. When they miss their window they try to schedule me a week out. I am going to have another company come finish. I will pay the agreed upon amount less the cost for the new company to come fix.

I recently just completed an exterior door purchase and installation with the Door Store and had an excellent experience. The sales staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Email communication was quick and accurate. Installation schedule was within a reasonable time and never got bumped. Most of all, the actual install with Phil and Eli was skilled and precise. I have an old bungalow house with crooked this and that and was concerned it wouldnt install well. The final product exceeded my expectations and looks even better than I had anticipated. Thanks for the beautiful finished product.

Beautiful products, but Id echo others to go elsewhere.We purchased two doors from them. One door was ordered incorrectly, and they asked if we could just be okay with it being installed the other way since its only going into a mud room. Then, over time (its been a couple years now), it was apparent that the spot it was installed wasnt supporting the much heavier door than the one that had originally been there and the whole door was coming down.Service throughout has been disappointing. Again, go somewhere else.

Very good install on an exterior front door, however, the finish has not held up. There is no warranty on their exterior door so after 18 months they referred me to a refinisher. Apparently, a low quality paint was used and no protective finish coat was applied. The door now has to be sanded and repainted at my considerable cost. Not what I expected for the price I paid.

We love our new doors! The showroom helped us pick just the right front doors for our new house. Installers were very friendly and competent.

HEED THE WARNINGS OF THE REVIEWS! Not sure how a company with a proven track record of failed customer experiences (3.5 stars out of 88, at the time of this review, 05/07/2020) is still in business. My experience was much like that of the warnings I ignored - failed finishes and warped wood doors, non-responsiveness to customer correspondence, failure to stand behind their product and craftsmanship, denial of warranty, blatantly rude (owner, Tom). See images taken within a few months after install.Tom does not understand the need to take a pragmatic approach to running his business. Reviews are a clear indication, and writing on the wall... I can only guess it is a matter of time until his poor attitude leads to the demise of the business.

These guys were great during the selection process, and the finished product is stunning. The installation went very smoothly. Very pleased with the level of customer service, and they were very responsive throughout. Highly recommend!

Our neighbor had purchased her gorgeous front door from the Door Store, so we went to the showroom, made our selection, and then notified them of our paint and stain choices. Installation was very professional and the finished product is everything we wanted and expected.

The customer service here is horrific. We had two doors installed and after a few years the handles on both doors broke and the doors are out of alignment. I’ve been trying for a month and a half to get the hardware replaced on my non-functioning door and you’d think I’m asking for the moon. No one returns my calls, they never called to tell me my hardware was in, and they completely missed the appointment to install the hardware. No one had any record of the appointment (except me), and they all point fingers at each other. Did I mention my door has not been functioning? They couldn’t care less. No urgency whatsoever to help a customer. We do so much remodeling work, and I will never shop here again, nor will I recommend to friends. Even the secretary told me she couldn’t wait to get the hell out of there right. I can’t say I blame her if this is the level of disfunction they operate with. It’s been one frustration after another for way too much money spent.

Update 9/22/20- I am responding to the owners response to my original review. Let me be quite clear. I am not disputing the misunderstanding that took place with the order nor am I neglecting my responsibility in that misunderstanding. My review is centered around the utter lack of customer service and professional behavior by this owner. If you have an issue don’t expect to get it resolved. This guy is the most unprofessional and aggressive business person you will encounter and his behavior is indicative of that.Go elsewhere for your doors. I just had interior doors installed by this company. Due to misunderstanding of the salesman on what I wanted he did not provide me the correct invoice. Unfortunately I approved the invoice without looking at the order assuming that it reflected what I had asked him to provide. When the installers came to Install the doors I was surprised to find out that it was not what I ordered. I asked for a callback to see if we could negotiate on how to resolve the issue. I sent them copies of the email with the request I had for the product that I wanted plus the invoice that unfortunately I approved with the wrong product. The salesman, Jim, was a waste of time..... plus when I went in on a Saturday for my scheduled appointment with Jim, the other person there said. “Jim has the day off”. Then he spent the time we were there distracted by his teenage son who was in the office with him. This place has no class or professionalism. They didn’t have the decency to call me back yesterday until I got a call today from the unbelievably rude owner named “Tom”. He refused to give me his last name. His idea of excellent customer service was to scream into the phone for almost 10 minutes repeating “pay your bill”. Then he commented that he was so sick and tired of customers like me who complain. Perhaps he should not run a business where customers are involved. Frankly, shocking behavior for the owner of a company ( a grown man nevertheless). I paid the company for the work that was completed, but if you want helpful accurate products and customer service go elsewhere. Now I guess I have to wait to see if the door quality fails as others have stated in their reviews.

New front door installed 3 days ago and I absolutely love it! Installers took great care of my home while here working on it. Took a while for it to be made and installed, but it was worth the wait.

It was a terrible experience to deal with this company. If I could give them zero stars I would.I would strongly recommend that you not use this companyI was given a certain time frame in which I could expect the doors would be ready. The doors were nearly 2 months late from this original time frame. Notably, they will tell you to expect a certain time frame, then state on their website that they have no intention of honoring ANY timeframe. These false assertions on timeframe delayed the project significantly.When the doors finally arrived, the quality of work was poor. There were significant stain variations (it appears that they did not spray the doors to stain them in a consistent fashion). Additionally, the wood was not sanded well before applying the stain. I paid someone else to repair the poor work.Lastly, if you do decide to work with this company, be very careful surrounding payment. DO NOT give them a credit card number. Pay by check. They kept my credit card number on file and submitted a substantial (thousands of dollars) unauthorized charge without contacting me.

Just had my new door installed this morning, everything went beautiful the installer was very knowledgeable and did a great job I would not hesitate to use the door store the door came out beautiful. Very positive experience from start to finish.

If I could give negative stars I would. They have a great selection of doors however the staff there is completely incompetent. First we specified that the hardware we wanted was satin nickel. After we arrived home after paying the deposit on 3 doors we realized that they specified black hardware. No big deal, we called but instead of being polite, the receptionist gave us attitude and said that’s what we ordered and we’re stuck with it. After we finally got that resolved, the doors arrived and we installed them only to find that one of the doors had the matt finish of the glass facing out and one had the glossy finish facing out. I called Skip back at the shop to get it taken care of. He said he would get a new door ordered. I called again a week later to get an ETA and he hadn’t even ordered it yet. I called again in a few days and he said he would check status and call back. He Never called back. This was a pattern that happened for about 6 weeks. I finally got the door and picked it up with the hardware for our barn door... it was black hardware instead of satin nickel. On top of this they forgot to put the clear coat on the walnut header board that we ordered and instead of just owning up to the mistake they just loaded into my trailer and when I called them out on it they pretended like they just didn’t notice! They also accidentally charged me $350 for installation but I’m installing them myself. At this point I am extremely angry so I called back to get everything taken care of. They told me that Skip is not in today so to call back tomorrow, then they hung up on me. Haha. This company is a joke!!I ordered these doors on February 7th. It’s now June 10th and still no end in sight.UPDATE------I finally got ahold of Skip and he said the hardware was ready to pick up. I picked up everything and took it home to install and what do you know... the door was 2 inches shorter than the opening!!! this is a barn door slab that they came out to measure and they ordered!! When I called Skip he wanted to add on 2 inches to the door! Yes, glue another piece of wood to the bottom of the door!! the other solution was to put a board over the top of the opening so it would hang down low enough to make the door work!! meaning that from inside my bathroom you would see a piece of plywood hanging down in the door opening! I couldnt even believe it.We brought the door back and asked for our money back many times and they refuse to do anything about it. $2500 later and nothing to show for it! they are thieves and liars!! The worst type of people I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with!!

I called looking for a solution to the hardware problem I was having trying to outfit my new front door, and the gentleman who helped me was super friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. Immediately knew what I needed when I explained what I wanted to do. Ball catch, who knew! I will DEFINITELY be back when we buy all new interior doors for our house!

The help in the store was excellent! They assisted in picking out the right door, color, and hardware for our home. The install was smooth and nicely done. Because we picked a fairly standard door they were able to install before Christmas. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the lack of follow through on the additional hardware quote I requested. I submitted my email several times over the phone (even left a voicemail with it) and my account was not updated. The other issue was the installers were over an hour late, which I completely get because the weather was brutal. However, it would have been nice to receive a call from the store letting us know they were running late. Instead, I had to call. Had I known they were going to be late I would have been able to take care of other business in that time. Overall they are very good and I would buy another from them. They can move from very good to great with minor communication tweaks.

We purchased our door including the hardware from The Door Store in June 2018. When it was ready and completely installed we were absolutely thrilled with the finished product. The combination of stained Mahogany and Ravena Stain-Glass window are positively stunning. The door is beautiful and we are glad that we entrusted The Door Store for such an important home improvement project. The installers were punctual, professional and courteous. Great experience. I have an old Victorian and the front door is larger than prefab doors locally. I custom ordered it and the installallers were great dealing with building a new door jam without disrupting the plaster and lathe. They have a large choice of hardware to choose from. I love my door. A little pricey but well worth it to me.

After several unsuccessful meetings with other door companies, we were really happy that we found The Denver Door Store! Skip was awesome! He listened to what we wanted and was able to give suggestions and input on what would work best. We purchased 2 doors from the Door Store. We had seen a picture of a front door we liked in a magazine. Skip worked diligently to find a manufacturer who made the exact door we wanted. From ordering to installation, The Door Store was efficient and professional, performing each task exactly when they scheduled it. After ordering a door at Lowes that came in damaged after 12 weeks, we were in the market again for a front door. We went to the Door Store. The doors there are beautiful and fit many budgets. The owner Tom understood our budget constraints and showed us some unfinished doors that he was selling at a discount due to an overage. A screaming deal as he put it! We ordered the door and sidelight prefinished and the process was very easy. Tom came out to measure, and our door came in a bit earlier than promised! The installers were AWESOME! The door was the same price as my Lowes door, much better quality and came with professional install as well!! That was extra at Lowes. I was also able to supply my own paint unlike the big box stores where you select from a handful of colors! A big plus for me!!All in all this was a great experience with a quality product! A screaming deal indeed!! I would absolutely use them again!

We recently replaced our original double front doors with an oversized door with two sidelights. I could not have been happier with The Door Store. I usually do not write reviews, however, after reading many of the reviews online, it worried me to go with The Door Store. I tried everywhere in town, but if you want a custom solid wood door, The Door Store are the only guys in town. They far exceeded my expectations. I worked with Casey (sales guy) and he was fantastic. The rest of the process was seamless, from the measure to installation. They were prompt, called when they said, and did a great job. I could not be happier. Not sure why so many poor reviews, but my experience was A+.

What a nightmare doing business with this place! They measured incorrectly, ordered a door which they knew would be too short for the opening, but then wanted to install a header board at the top of the doorway to make the door work. We wouldn’t accept such an unprofessional patch job, and they would not refund our money, for their error! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

I have nothing but great things to say about this company. Skip was our salesman and he was very polite, knowledgable and helpful. I especially liked the before and afters photo book. My husband and I got exactly what we were looking for to go with our Craftsman bungalow. We were quoted 6-8 weeks for the door to be prepared an installed. I called after about 7 weeks and got a call back within 24 hours. The very helpful woman set up our installation for the following week. We were told the crew would arrive between 8:30-9:30. They called ahead and arrived right at 9:00. They introduced themselves and were very polite. The work is incredible. I couldnt be happier. Thank you Door Store! I am very disappointed with the Door Store. When I originally came and got a quote it was reasonable. When I placed the order they increased the price because they said they forgot to quote an item. Being reasonable mistakes can happen, I said OK to the increase. Yesterday they called with a $600 increase to the order. I did not make any changes to the order. I also noticed they charged manufacturer listed price without any discounts. I canceled my order. I prefer not doing business with a company that can commit to their pricing once the order has been placed

I bought a door from them and it was a great experience from buying it to installation. They came on the designated day, installed the door and it looked great. To add to the experience the installer was a great guy with loads of experience. Would definitely buy from them again!

I got new closet doors for my new apartment! They were made in a timely fashion and installed within a couple hour. Everyone I encountered was very helping and nice! I would recommend them for any door need you may have!

We needed the entire front door assembly replaced and wanted a qualified company. We chose The Door Store because the salesman was very knowledgeable and helpful. The door was ready on time and the installation date was as promised. The installation was professionally done and we are very satisfied with our whole experience.The only factor from keeping this a 5 star was they do not do any grid work for the glass panel above the door.

They had the fire rated door in the style we requested. The salesman also helped pick out the hardware and deadbolt to match what we had in the rest of the house. They came out on time to measure and install. The new door is a pleasure to open and close as it is the most used door in the house. We are happy with the product and the workmanship.

I bought 7 doors total. 6 interior 1 exterior. I was quoted 2-3 weeks, received 6 of the 7 after 12 weeks. It took 3 trips to get the 6, because each time only a couple doors were actually ready. No calls to update me on the status and I said forget the exterior door as it wasnt even ordered after 12 weeks. Overall I like the doors, but customer service is non-existent and the time frame given was a joke.

Stay away!! We ordered a whole house full of doors from this place and our experience has been nothing but problematic. They dont respond to emails or calls. They are incomprehensibly rude after they get your money. The worst part about it is we paid extra for them to come out and measure all our interior doors to make sure the dimensions were all correct. Well come delivery time, we get one door thats too narrow, one door that swings open the wrong way, and one door that had a (defective) hollow spot where the installers hand went through it like cardboard. I called the owner, Tom, to bring up these things and he could not even have a civil discussion about it. Got super defensive, blamed us for the measurements and swing being wrong even though he was the one that came out to measure. I could not believe my ears. He thinks we should have to pay for 3 new doors. Yelled at me and then hung up on me, taking zero responsibility for his screw ups. Oh yeah, and their trim that they told us was walnut is actually cheap veneer, which nobody uses! Please do not give this jerk your business.

Salesman was very rude and cocky. Went in there with some questions about a semi custom barn door. I needed a specific height and width and the gentleman told me it could not be done and just tried to sell me a stock door just to get it out of his bay. Kind of smirked and laughed and told me I would not find what I was looking for for less than $1,500. Went to Lowes the very same day and there door division was able to assist me and contacted their contractors and was quoted a price of $500 for a five panel door and it worked perfectly.

Our new front door gets compliments by everyone who comes to our house. We had a deadline and they worked with us to get the door ordered and installed on time. Its the one project in all our renovations that went off without it hitch. Id shop there again for sure.

We have been in need of a new front door for many years. Our old door was like an open window - we hung a velvet curtain up to help with the draft. I shopped around, at the Door Store, Home Depot, Lowes, and a general contractor who gave me a stack of books on doors. I was originally working with Lowes, they had the door I needed and I paid for them to come do measurements. It wasnt until afterward, they told me that my door opening was larger than normal (which will cost me more) and they dont stain the door or framing (Id need to find a separate painting contractor). Then Lowes continued to call me about their special deal expiring any day now so I better put a deposit down to secure the special deal. Home Depot will sell you the door, but you find your own contractor to install and you coordinate everything. I priced the exact same door between Lowes and the Door Store, and the Door Store was both less expensive and a one-stop shop that would do everything. They were, unfortunately 2.5 months out for installation. I did not step foot in the building, ordered everything over email and phone. A lot of the reviews I just read were complaints about the sales process. My process was smooth, I knew what I wanted and just needed the pricing and scope of services. The Door Store came out to measure within a week of my placing the order. They even helped me choose the right stain and wood for my house, which was a big fear for me, once you pick the wrong color, youre done. When they arrived to install my new door, the installer was professional and thorough. It took him all day, from 8a - 4p, we of course have the old bungalow, which comes with some challenges. We are very pleased with everything. He explained maintenance and the 12 month warranty. Originally, I was hesitant to work with a boutique store, for fear of getting ripped off, but from what I experienced from the general contractors and the big box stores, Im very pleased in the affordability, quality, and service of the installers.

The Door Store was the right choice for us when we ordered our new front door and back door. From the moment we walked into the beautiful show room to the clean up at our install The Door Store was a smooth process from A-Z! My wife and I didn’t know there was so much to getting our doors replaced. We were told 6-8 weeks and they got the job done within that time frame! We got to pick our doors, stain, and hardware all at once, saving me plenty of headaches trying to figure it out on my own! Skip showed us around the facility reassuring the quality of their doors, from their showroom to paint booth, these guys mean business! They were friendly and professional the whole way through! From the measure to installation they were on time and made sure to meet our scheduled appointments. We weren’t able to put a sign in our yard because of our HOA but we recommend them to our friends and neighbors. We love the compliments we receive on our GORGEOUS front door.

I purchased a simple pocket door and was told it would be available in 2-3 weeks. Did not hear from them and called back after 3 weeks. Was told it wouldnt be available for 4 more weeks. Never heard from them again and called after 4 weeks. Was told it was finally come in on following Tues. and I could pick it up on Wed. I had to call them on Wed. and of course the door didnt arrive. It now supposed to be Friday. Im not holding my breath.Their service is horrible!! Never once called me to provide updates and refuses to provide any compensation. Warning: DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!

Dealing with this company has been one of the worst experiences we have had and we have remodeled multiple houses and commericial spaces and dealt with hundreds of contractors. I would not recommend them to anyone! We waiting 6 months for an exterior door (which it was custom, so that was understandable, but it was double the time from what they originally told us)only for it to be the wrong color. Then we had to wait for another 6 months to get the new one. We also ordered some interior doors for our basement refinish and two of those were the wrong size and we were expected to exchange them ourselves. Good thing we happen to have a pick up. There have been multiple other issues within the last 4 years of dealing with them but too much to list. Basically, any order we placed with them got screwed up some way or another. The owner is rude and condescending and I am so happy our dealings with them is over! What the last review said, was what we got with each order.

I purchased 4 doors from the door store - one pocket door and 3 barndoors. They are awesome and the installation went very well! I will be looking at replacing other doors at my house

These guys seemed really nice at the beginning...but they have absolutely no business sense, no customer service, will NOT return phone calls or emails. Order was wrong and they lied about it. Once you hand them your money...that’s it. BUYER BEWARE!!

My husband and I have visited this store twice in the past few weeks. The first time there were other customers in the store and we were not approached by any staff about questions on products, etc. It was a preliminary visit for us while looking at options for front doors. The second time we visited the two salespeople left the room as soon as we entered. No one again approached us at all during the visit (we were the only customers in the place). We then left and the receptionist said goodbye with a puzzled look on her face. We will purchase our front door elsewhere.

Ordered 4 doors. They gave us one that was cut two inches too short and then tried to tell us it was intentional. Even though the other 3 doors were all cut long. They also charged us for custom cuts on all 4 doors when they only custom cut one. Their products are okay but their customer service is terrible and there is no accountability for their mistakes.

I purchased a new front door for a historic home at The Door Store. They had a good selection in store and were knowledgable about what styles I should consider for my craftsman home. I had The Door Store paint the inside and outside of the door for my home before installation and they did an excellent job. It took a few weeks to schedule installation, but now that the door is in, it really makes my whole house look refreshed. This is a reliable, knowledgable team.

We are very happy with our new front entry door and we had a very pleasant experience with The Door Store. We went to The Door Store on a Saturday morning and we were helped by Skip who spent a lot of time walking us around the showroom, showing and explaining different options (we had no idea what we wanted) and sat down with us to show us a huge 3-ring binder of completed/installed doors that were similar to what we decided on. They had a great selection, lots of in-store samples, millions of options in terms of finishes, hardware, glass options, etc. Skip even spent time to show me their very nice in-house staining/finishing booth and some doors that were finished similarly to ours.They scheduled a time to come up to our house to do a measurement and they charged a fee I believe was reasonable for that type of service, especially given the distance our house is away from their location. Although they did have a scheduling issue with the first appointment that I was made aware of at the exact time we were to meet, they were very accommodating with a reschedule and the owner himself came to our house for the rescheduled appointment and was very apologetic about the pervious scheduling issue, was very polite and easy to work with. These things happen so I took it with a grain of salt.The door took slightly longer to come in then I originally anticipated, however nothing extreme. Skip called to follow up when the door arrived at their location, and their installation individual (I didnt catch her name) was nice about following up both via phone and email regarding our installation.The day of installation went well too, especially given the additional construction that was involved prior to our install. The two installers were very accommodating. The two installers seemed very flexible and skilled and the installation was beautiful. They couldt do some of the trim work on the interior of the house because of some construction changes we had made (drywall needed to be replaced first, etc) but they cut all the trim pieces, labeled each, penciled in where they should go and showed me that they fit. They even left me with some of the nail hole filler to make sure everything matched. I was very happy with their installation.We had nothing but a great experience with The Door Store. The door is beautiful, service/sales was good and the installation was perfect. I would recommend to a friend.

Avoid this store at all costs. If you need a standard prehung or slab solid or hollow core door go to Lowes or Home Depot. The quality isnt worth the extra $, and the service is horrible. My wife and I walked thru 7 interior doors step by step, explaining how each opened. When our contractor gets ready to install them 4 out of 7 are wrong! But they have a no return policy. Come on, a standard 30 solid core door, no return policy. The day I went to pick them up, I beat on the front door for 15 minutes until I went in a side door and had a couple of the painters/laborers help me load them. I had to give one star just to get this to post, but that is being to generous.

Buyer beware! I should have listened to the bad reviews before I bought two doors here. The doors took much longer than quoted to cut and stain. Then they cut the doors to the wrong length and when I had to pay my contractor to correct, they refused to offer any credit, not one cent. The customer service is horrible. Im shocked they are still in business.

I paid a lot of money for front door supposedly for the quality I just moved into the house and I found out that the glass is cracked and you can see all the nails in the wood when I called the lady decided to hang up on me. I called again and they told me that I needTo find glass company without even saying anything when I told them that they need to come take a look they told me to send them pictures I find that ridiculous please choose a different company!

Love my new interior doors and French doors. They are gorgeous and were installed even a bit before schedule.

UPDATE TO BELOWNow after just a couple of months the door does not latch and stay closed. THE OWNER wants to charge $125 just to have someone come out to look at the $8,000 door he DOES NOT WARRANT!!PLEASE LOOK AT WARRANTY BEFORE BUYING. ITS WORTHLESS. Sad because he does have a couple of nice people working there. How they work for him is beyond me.12/2/2015AVOID. CAVEAT EMPTORLet me first say that Angela, Jennifer and the installers were friendly and helpful and the products offered looked very good. Thats all I can say good about this place.The expensive custom iron door I ordered came after waiting 3 months. We scheduled an installation the next week. During the installation I noticed it was not being installed as designed and planned. I asked immediately what was going on. The installer then came clean and told me that they noticed that morning it was not made correctly, 2 inches short, but they were trying to rig it to fit, building a plastic / wood / painted shim at the top instead of the completely unpainted iron door fitting into the archway. The owner knew about this and kept it from me, and did not inform me up front, only admitting that mistake among others (like knowing he had and installing anyway the wrong size door hardware that froze up and locked me out) when I discovered them to my dismay.Of course he blamed the manufacturer as totally responsible for the door not fitting.I did not get the impression he could be trusted and found the manufacturer and they right up front admitted the mistake but, said the owner approved the CAD CAM with the mistake, he did not pick up the design problem from his measurements as he should have, and approved the fabrication with the error.Of course the owner did not admit this until I challenged him with the truth that he did not know I obtained.He was incensed that I had contacted the manufacturer. Caught in his mistake, he became unreasonable and defensive to put it mildly with his take it or leave it attitude.To make a long story short, the owner is not friendly and aggressively threatened to take me to court if I did not accept his inadequate resolution ( very small discount) to my problem.Suffice to say life it too short to have people like this in ones life and I paid the bill to get rid of him.BTW - the manufacturer is top rate and honest. Iron Door Company in Utah. But avoid Door Store.

I wish I had read the reviews before I bought. They are all accurate. Took the money and I got an expensive, poor quality door with bad customer service. BTW, they are so good they dont have to help you.

The gentlemen at The Door Store were patient with me while I looked through all their door and hardware options and the install guys were very polite and professional. Im very happy we purchased our doors through them instead of a big box store!

Lousy customer service. Did bad install including missing hardware and bad sizing. Came back to repair within a week but had fired and hired whole new crews. In fact they ended up subcontracting out their install service. Door ultimately fine but NOT without considerable hassle and extra cost.

We recently purchased a Dutch door for our kitchen. The quality of the door, install and customer service are A++. We will be back.

These guys are awful!! Nothing else to say and they put out an awful product. You can see through to outside in certain spots of the door and door is falling apart after 6 MONTHS!

They should change their name to Rip off Store . Over charged us for a POS door that has not even lasted 1 year. They will not even help us repair the crappy quality product they sell. Snarky, aloof sales staff.

Terrible! I just called to ask about a couple doors and they hung up on me right after I asked about the first one that they did not have. They could have asked if I needed any other doors which I do but they just forcefully ended the conversation and also any potential business.

DONT EVER SHOP HERE! Worst all around experience EVER! We brought a picture of the exact door we needed and were PERSUADED to buy what we were told was its exact match. We purchased the door and waited for the Tuesday they said it would be in. We called Wednesdsy and they said, We dont know what happened well call you back right away. Never got a call back. We called again and were told, Woops, its on back order, itll be here Friday. This horrible customer service was mildly irritating, but we wanted our door. We go in Friday and buy the door. EVERYTHING about it was wrong. We take it back for a refund and were met with, We cant take it back. Sorry no refunds allowed. We at first calmly asked, What can we do? Of course we dont want a door that doesnt match. Our repulsively smug response from Skip Leimeister was, You cant do anything, I dont see whats wrong with it anyway, its your door now, theres nothing more we can do for you. Bottom line is these people are inconsiderate and have the worst customer service. Skip Leimeister is an arrogant, sheisty salesman who will do anything for a sale. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!

Wow, what an experience! I went to the door store looking for a replacement door for my spare bedroom. I came in with a picture of exactly what I needed and the measurements. I walked up to a salesman, Skip, and he immiediatley had an attitude and conveyed he had better things to do. He took a half a second glance at the photo I brought in and assured me they stocked the door I needed. I was unsure and continued to look at the door in the showroom and repeatedly asked if it was the right door. Without even taking another look at the picture, he was adamant they were the same. He then wrote up the order and highly recommended I purchase the pre-hung version of the door as it would save me a lot of work. Thinking he knew best, I agreed and placed the order. He said it would be ready to pick up in 4-5 days. 7 days went by and I never heard from them. I called and asked what the status was. They took down my information and said they would call me back in 10 minutes. 5 hours later I called back and they told me the door was on back-order. Why was I never told this?!? I asked when it would be there, they said they would let me know. 3 days later it showed up. I picked it up and brought it home to find not only was it the wrong pattern, but the hinges werent even in the right spot. I took the door back the next day just to get my money back. I was greeted by a salesman who seemed eager to help, but as soon as I told him I was there to make a return he just told me I had to wait until the salesman who sold me the door was available. After waiting for 15 minutes. I walked over the desks of the sales team to find them just chatting amongst themselves without a care in the world. Finally Skip made his way over and I explained to him that this was the wrong door. He immiedately went on the defensive saying thats what I ordered. I calmly reminded him he was the one who picked the door out. He then proceeded to argue with me that it was the right door! I had sitting next to the old door and they were not the same. He continued to argue with me that it was the right door and thats what I picked. I told him I just wanted my money back and they could resale the door since I didnt even take it off the temporary frame. He said they cant do it because it was pre-hung. He told me to buy pre-hung! He said they had absolutely no room for and their warehouse was full. During the entire conversation he sports a very arrogant smile, avoided eye contact, and continuously shook his no. I have never experienced such a blatant lack of respect and customer service skills in my life. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. I called back and asked to speak with a manager and Skip told me there is no manager per say. I asked if I could speak with the owner and he told me they werent available. I asked if there was a number the owner could be reached at to which Skip replied we cant give out that information, its personal. What a piece of work this guy is. I will keep trying to get in touch with the owner. BEWARE of the door store, crooked shady people work there!! I went to Builders Outlet in Denver with the same picture and they immediately found the exact door I needed and even took my hinges and handle off my old door and put them on the new one.UPADATE:I filed a complainant with BBB in early September. After the BBB contacted them 4 times, they just now responded to the complainant with the following: Customer signed invoice, picked up door and took it home. We cant accept returns.This is not acceptable, Im not sure what happened to the customer is always right, but the unprofessionalism displayed here is mind boggling. They refuse to acknowledge their mistake, they are just happy they got my money. Im sure they expect me to just forget about everything, but I will not give up on this. This is the WORST experience I have ever had with a business and I will do anything to deter people away from this horrible place.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! We spent nearly $6,000 with The Door Store Denver to purchase a front entry door with sidelights and a wood and reeded glass kitchen door. If I had bought my doors from Home Depot or Lowes and spent half of what I spent with The Door Store Denver, I’d still not expect to be treated as the “ungrateful inconvenience” that the owner of the store made my wife and I to feel.There was the issue with being told that the install would be on the 20th or 21st of May, when I was clear with the sales rep that the door had to be installed by the first week of May which was fully agreed to. This was quickly rectified and certainly an honest mistake, but was still a frustration. Next came the morning the installers showed up with the entry door and sidelights, but without the kitchen door. The door was finished but it was left behind. It was explained that there was a miscommunication from The Door Store Denver. Frustrating, but the door would be installed on Tuesday after further discussion. Tuesday comes with great anticipation, when the owner delivers the door and then storms out of my house blaming my wife for having a bad attitude, when all she expected was for the door to be delivered and hung. His solution was to refund our money and be done with us. I ordered the door because I wanted the door. This wasn’t a throw in or a half thought out purchase. In fact, that door was $600 alone. Again, this was the result of botched communication at The Door Store Denver. Next, Wednesday arrives with the expectation of the install, but the door was cut too large for the opening so it had to be shaved on both sides because the owner measure the opening incorrectly. The final result was that the door needed to be shaved on both sides, removing the refinished paint job, and then painted with a brush to finish the edges and fix touch ups on the front and back, leaving me with a cheaply looking finished product. It kind of looks like it has a bad case of eczema or acne. This is clearly an eyesore to our brand new door but this is what they left us with.All we did was order two highly expensive doors, anxiously await the installs, paid nearly six thousand dollars, and have been frustrated and made to feel at fault for all the issues that have occurred. We ordered, we paid, we waited, we expected quality as a result of working with a prestigious company, and we have been frustrated ever since.I asked for a new door to be ordered and cut correctly to size before being painted. Second, I asked that the door be painted in their dust free spray environment so that all imperfections are sanded out and the final finished product looked new. Third, I asked that the door be installed for free to replace the door that was previously installed. As a sign of goodwill I asked that the owner provide some credit for the mistreatment, inconveniences, and poor quality of the final finished product that was installed.Shock… there has been no response or follow-up from the store. AVOID THE DOORSTORE OF DENVER. There are far more reputable stores to work with and they offer the same products.
