Great beers on tap! Pry one of the best pizza slices Ive had! Forgot name chicken something. But it was like chicken noodle soup on pizza. Had such great flavor and the crust was perfect. All the food looked amazing there.

Always has an amazing beer selection on tap. A lot of hard to find ones especially in Colorado. This is only the 2nd place I’ve seen Maine Beer Co on tap in Colorado, and they have it quite regularly. Pizza is pretty good. I prefer more classic NY or Neapolitan style, and I wouldn’t say it’s either of those, but it’s still enjoyable to eat. Staff is always super friendly. They currently have a large outdoor space as well.

Visited in November, the server was very knowledgeable & friendly! Had the Detroit style pizza, as well as a couple different beers. The pizza crust was thick & had amazing flavor! We got donuts to eat the next morning & they were incredible as a trail reward! Will visit again when were in the area! Several other cool shops within walking distance!

Cant believe I waited so long to visit this place. Amazing tap list, with great craft from around the country, with great variety (and some rare gems).I was able to try Term Oil on tap, without having to hunt down a bottle. The carnitas tacos were fantastic. Lettuce on my tacos will always be weird to me, but Ill take it. The sauce was delicious, but not spicy in any way. The carnitas were on point though, perfectly tender and crispy, which is hard to find in this state. Had a bite of my friends pizza, and it was delicious.

Great place, great atmosphere and the best waitress ever! Thanks Jasmine! We had the garlic cheese bread, Detroit style pizza with ricotta, sausage and pineapple DELISH! Also had Detroit style pizza with sausage, bacon, onion and banana peppers, sooooo good! Fresh ingredients, amazing thick crust. Personal Detroit style square, deep dish but definitely to share! If you like beer (we dont) they have a large collection to offer. Also the DONUTS are awesome, but go early before they run out! Parking is always tricky on Tennyson Street so beware...but definitely worth a visit!!

I really enjoy it here have known about this place for a while now. One of my favorite things are all the daily specials, i look forward to sitting outside, and passing the time with a good meal. Havent had the donuts yet looking forward to trying them, they do sell it quickly fyi.

Food is always excellent quality here! The gluten free pie is fantastic and the vegan toppings including cheese are so appreciated. Staff is super friendly and beer/cider selection is awesome. Dont forget donuts while youre there.

Outdoor, indoor, pizza, hand crafted sandwiches and pizza. Whats not to like about it. People usually get pizza in there but for sandwiches, crunchy wrap and vegan sloppy Joe is very good, doesnt taste vegan at all

Ive been now for both donuts and pizza and both have been great. The donuts while a little pricey were delicious and I got a Detroit style pizza with bacon, pep, and mushrooms during a Thursday happy hour with my wife and we were blown away. Well definitely be back for more in the future. Thanks for a great experience!

Had a delicious lunch here on a Thursday with my mom. She ordered the Detroit pie and I ordered the artisan pie. Both absolutely delicious. Loved sitting on the patio.

The pizza is amazing here. I order the personal and best believe its a lot of food. My girlfriend ordered a sandwich and she was amazed.The pizza was stove cooked so everything was very soft. Amazing pizza. Service friendly and loads of beer on tap

Great food. Amazing service!! Our table had a Detroit style pizza, cheesy bread, krunch wrap superior, beet salad, slice of the day, beers, potato salad, mini tacos… beers. Everything was good to great. The servers were friendly and attentive. We went on a Wednesday which is $2 draft can night and everybody was full and happy by the time we left. I’m not sure if this is standard or because we ordered a ton of food but they gave us donuts to go and we were super psyched. Too full to eat them immediately but really happy and it was just an exciting touch that took the experience over the top. Would highly recommend and absolutely will come again next time we’re in town.

Delicious pizzas, great brews, and a friendly service. Staff was on point and super helpful! The prices were excellent as well, got their deep dish with pepperoni sausage and mushrooms and could only finish half of it! Definitely coming back and will suggest it to friends!

Dropped half our pizza on the floor trying to box it up, was clearly our fault, and the staff made a whole new pizza free of charge, no questions asked.We used to come here once a week but have since moved away from the area and still make a point to visit once every few months. Love the Cuban sandwich. Pizza is great, both Detroit style and classic. Staff is fantastic every time we’re here. Love the Hops and Pie crew!

I already frequented Berkley Donuts so decided to have them cater my wedding (donuts > cake) Leah and team were amazing. Easy to communicate with, delivered to our venue and of course provided outstanding tasting donuts. Whether you’re going in for a morning donut and coffee or looking for catering, don’t pass this place up!

This one was of the recommended spot to try during our stay near Denver. The customer service was fantastic. We got the artisan pizza with the duck and goat cheese. It was so flavorful. We also got some of the donuts and they were probably the best donuts we ever had. I do recommend asking for extra sauce. Other than that the meal was perfect

Amazing!!Realistic prices and such delicious food! Additionally they had a wide variety of beers to catch every taste bud! All the staff were extremely friendly, willing to make suggestions based off their own personal preference, not what was most expensive and they were attentive! Definitely going back!

Wish u could put zero stars. The bartender we had was so disrespectful and rude. My boyfriend and I were traveling out of town with Texas vertical IDs, which apparently is an issue. (Not sure why? It’s a valid government ID.) the bartender gave us a hard time about them saying things like “I guess I have to check and see it’s got all the little things on here to make sure it’s valid” and “you’re going to have a hard time around here with a vertical ID”. He gave us so much of a hard time that my boyfriend had to assure the bartender that his ID wasn’t in fact fake, that we were traveling out of town. The other bartender who was a lady was actually really nice though. The beer wasn’t good, and I ordered what they call “cheesy garlic bread” there was no cheese on it and it was ridiculously spicy. I get that this place is trying to be pretentious and fancy but it’s not even good food. I took one bite and honestly spit it out. I wasted my money here and couldn’t wait to get out. Overall, a terrible experience for what was supposed to be a happy one for my birthday trip. Would not return and wouldn’t recommend to anyone I know.

Perfect family dinner! We loved this place! We were traveling through Denver and found this fabulous place as our meal stop. The kids and us thought the pizza was delicious. My husband and I got to try their amazing selection of craft beer. Definitely a family friendly atmosphere! Wish I would have taken a picture of our pizza before we devoured it.

Always a great experience! The Detroit style pizza was perfect. Their Thursday night special is a deal you cant miss. We say outsid outdoors which was really nice and spacious. The service was great especially for right now when you have a really hard time finding good service at restaurants.

This place is Very good. Im not a beer drinking but the others in my party loved their selections. They DO NOT have house pizzas and you have to create your own. Kinda a bummer for us. The apps were great and service from our waitress from Louisiana was Amazing. Loved Her! You should visit nectar the pizza is good and different but sadly, not unique. Ill be back if another person suggests to visit.

Good food, good service. Tight quarters and often very busy so wait may be long. Popular Mac and cheese, but we found it rather salty. Decent pizza, hot and fresh. Good variety of beer. Not big drinker, so a variety of 3oz drinks was perfect for me.

Good customer service, busy ambience! Unique beers, pizza crust was fresh and crispy all though I was expecting more smoke flavor on my brisket and chicken.

I LOVE pizza, like I eat it at least once a week. I can honestly say this is some of the best pizza Ive ever had. The crust is the star! It is thin and crispy with great flavor. We had a large 2-topping pizza and two pints for only $25 (Tuesday special) - a great deal! The staff was handling the pandemic extremely well and we felt safe and comfortable the whole time.

The Detroit pizza was excellent. They were extremely short staffed, so each drink and food order took multiple requests. Staff that was there really did try. Id love to try again

The place was quite busy when we went but we were still greeted promptly and had our question answered perfectly. The pizza of the day slices are a steal and always delicious! Dining area was a little small and basic but still a good feel to it.

Great place, they make a true Ceasar Salad with anchovies and the pizza is the best on Tennyson St.

Pretty good place for a pizza and a beer. Large outdoor seating area under a tent, which is great for Covid safety. The draft list was very IPA focused, so that may or may not be a plus depending on your tastes. I had a traditional pie, and while it was enjoyable, I feel that there are better pizza options around Denver.

The pizza was delicious! Highly recommend! Very crispy crust. They had indoor and outdoor seating and you scanned the QR code to get the menu. The waitress seemed pretty stressed and rushed. I wish she took the time to explain the specials or offer options for new comers.

The diary free pizza is delicious, I love the pepperoni. On Wednesday’s they have deals on cans of beer.

I think Hops & Pie is my Denver recommendation for pizza. Sure, youve got your Fat Sullys for drunk nights with the guys/gals where you can build your dream single slice, youve got Blue Pan for your indulgent promotion celebrations, youve got Beau Jos for your Grand Sicilian challenges on the way back from your 14ers with that incredible crust, and you have Patxis for your deep dish needs. But whats in the middle of the Venn diagram of what makes all of those excellent? Its the place thats got the best beers on tap and has a great version of most of those styles anyway, Hops & Pie!I always love the artisan pies (especially anything with corn - OMG YUM), the beer selection truly is exceptional even for Denvers great beer baseline, and its got the sense of humor to have merchandise of bad Yelp reviews of itself. Im moving away from Denver soon and this will definitely be one of the top spots in my memory of the city. Thanks for being awesome!

Love this place. Saw it on DDD years ago. Now anytime we are in Denver we have got to go and get our fix.Customer service is great as well. We purchased a couple of their beer glasses while there. We got home and there was an issue with one. I contacted “Leah” and she addresses and fixed it immediately. If only more businesses ran like this one. Thanks, we will be back soon.

I have visited 3 times so far and have tried the breakfast sandwich once and the detriot style pizza twice. I really love the breakfast sandwich on sourdough donut and I give that 4 stars but the pizza was really salty both times I had it. I tried it with pesto and with red sauce. I really enjoyed the detroit style pizza but I wont be ordering it again because it is just way too salty!

All I can say is the pizza here is very very good. They have plenty of drink options as well . If your in town its definitely worth a try.

Service was stellar. Beer selection is great. The thin crust was crispy and buttery. The house pesto was awesome on the slice of the day! The only thing that didnt make it a 5 star pizza joint was the pepperoni. We agreed they are equivalent to the pepperonis found on frozen Red Baron!!

We have been wanting to come here for a long time and finally decided to stop in after work today. The food was delicious! We ordered the Reuben, a slice of the day (chorizo & pepper jack) the Vegan Sloppy Jane & the kids Mac N Cheese. The flavors were to die for and the portion definitely gave you the best bang for your buck!Great waiting staff and super kid friendly... a coloring pages, crayons and toys were just enough to keep our kiddo occupied during the short amount of time we waited for our food.We will definitely be coming back!Pictured: The Reuben and a side of Potato Salad

I saw this place on triple D and had to try it! We got the Tuesday deal that was a large 2 topping pizza with 2 draft beers for $25. The beer was good and the pizza was delicious! Its not quite a NY style pizza but its pretty close in how thin it is. The flavor was really good and the crust is airy and crunchy at the same time. We really liked it! For dessert we got the super treat, which is a peanut butter capn crunch and Coco puff marshmallow treat. Its was big, so 1 is good enough for two people and man was it tasty! Definitely recommend this place if your close by.

Wow! This place is a gem! Amazing tasting pizza. Cold beer on tap. A wide selection of their menu of both food and drinks.We went as a party of four and waited about 30 minutes. It was well worth the wait. The restaurant is tiny, so expect longer waits when they are busy.I saw they had Rafe beer on the menu. I finally got to try Pliny the Elder. Im not a fan of IPAs, but it was paletteable.Service was great.I will be back

I stopped in on what looked like a pretty busy Sunday evening which is not uncommon here. Still, every staff member I dealt with was friendly and welcoming. This place always has a great beer selection and the slice of the day, as weird as the description might sound, is going to be awesome! Dont look past the sandwich menu either. The Reuben is one of the best Ive ever had.

Great service and good food. Loved the vibe here. A great chill place that anybody would love. Great selection of beer. I got a blackberry lavender sour and a Pilsner and thought both were good. We got food at 9 pm and it was still pretty full. We had to wait maybe 10 minutes on a suturday night at 9 which I count as a full win. Three of us ladies shared a small 14” pizza and a house salad and thought it was delicious and were all full. Overall we had a great experience here and with the cool area it’s in 10/10 would recommend.

Hops and Pies is one of my local hotspots in the Denver area. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is laid back, and the beer list is pretty extensive. They have tons of local craft beer on tap, they are vegan/vegetarian friendly, portions were huge, and the service was prompt. Weve been there multiple times, and while it can get crowded, the service was always good and the wait times were acceptable.I definitely recommend the pizzas and the Cuban sandwich. For my veggie friends they have non-dairy options for their pies or go with the Sloppy Jane.

Finally! Have been looking for a great eat in pizza place for a long time. Bonus: they have great beer with a rotating menu. This is the only place I have ever been to with brisket and pastrami as toppings. The pizza came out quick, the wait staff was friendly, and the beer cans came with free holders! We came in at around 4pm on a weekday, wasnt busy at all but give it an hour and it gets pretty packed. Will be back. This place makes you feel comfortable. Such a nice environment to hang out with friends and eat good pizza.

The pizza is not that great, I ordered the Daily slice, pork, goat cheese and jalapeno...the crust was crisp lacking flavor. The grilled cheese duck sandwich was dense but too rich to finish.But then, I had a chocolate Milk shake IPA. It was like nothing I had ever tasted before. Smooth and enjoyable, not much for IPAs but it wasnt hoppy at all. The place was pretty crowded but it didnt take long for us to be seated.Go for the beer and friends, not the food.

Hops & Pie is the best place in the world. From the amazing food, to the fantastic servers and managers, to the music they play... absolutely the best. The staff is awesome and remembers us every time we come in. We come a few times per month and always leave happy and satisfied. We love Matt, Preston, Justin, Frankie, Erin, Griff... the staff is amazing. They work so hard and do such good work. They have vegan options too! If I worked at a restaurant this is where I would want to work.

This review could be a matter of opinion, but the food honestly did not taste great and seemed a little expensive for what you actually received. Even if it is just my difference in taste, it did not really resemble food you would find at a pizzeria. If you are looking for pizza go somewhere else, but if you are looking for an experimental twist on pizza, maybe consider coming here.

I was alone and they had me waiting until one spot got available at the bar, while several tables were empty.I had to raise my voice and occupy a table because after 35 minutes, even if youre alone, you should get a table, especially if they are empty!I waited 40 minutes for their Detroit style pizza. It was delicious, but they could have told me it was going to take so long and I would have ordered on something in the main time!Again, poor service.Beer selection is great.My bill was wrong and it was in my favor... however I teach my kids to be honest and therefore I tol the bartender.He charged the extra beer that was missing.Even if I dont expect to get anything for free, after waiting for so long for a table and for pizza, it would have been a nice gesture saying... thank you, I appreciate your honesty and this beer is on us...Bottom line, they have no idea was service is here...they try hard, but they are missing some fundamentals.

The BEST local pizza! You will not be disappointed. We live nearby and just found Hops & Pie last month. They are our new pizza of choice. Our most recent order got mixed up, and Hops & Pie delivered a replacement quickly, along with donuts. Mistakes happen and the donuts were unnecessary, but so delicious. We love this place, their food, and their service. Thank you! :)

Read another comment about pizza being black/burnt on the bottom we unfortunately got the same thing a large pizza that was black on the bottom. Probably wont go back here for pizza was hoping it would be better because the reviews are so high. Agree with another review also pizza crust is too dry kinda like eating cardboard.

Pizza crust was amazing and now we know to ask for extra sauce on the pizza. Overall the toppings we chose maybe werent the best option (ham, onions) it always takes a first try on pizza to see how this place does it so you know what to customize. for me Im not into IPAs or heavy beers. I wish they had more options on draft that didnt have that soapy taste. Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere and will come again

Coming from long time fans of Hops &Pie— The Detroit pizza we had tonight was great. We sat in one of the tents, it was very clean and the service was great. Bonus: the Detroit pizza is on special Thursdays and insanely cheap!

Man, this place was awesome. We were able to call ahead and put our name in for a table, which is always nice. The service was excellent. Our waiter was hilarious.The food, though, thats what really shined. We ordered these garlic bread taster things (pictured) and they were so good that we ordered another set. The pizzas were amazing. I really liked that they had a rotating daily pizza slice. If I lived in the area that alone would bring me back for multiple visits. The pizza I tried tasted like a Big Mac but in pizza form.They also had a great beer selection. Great stuff on tap and some higher end stuff in bottles.

Dined-in, messed up our order, and didn’t charge us for the bad order they left at the table….gee thanks. Never asked if we needed more drinks or water refills. Terrible, won’t be coming back.
