For starters 1/4 of the place was in use. The place is in need of a good cleaning. Old is in the name of the place but it shouldn’t smell as if it was old. Coffee was no good. The hot chocolate was thick, lumpy, and tasted like coffee was mixed in. The food was ok for the kids. My German Pancake was tasty. Only one person was in the kitchen and he was handling the front as well. The entry is difficult to get to. Turn into the hotel next door to get to it. The owners should think about gutting the place and starting fresh. New paint and seating should help.
I have been a huge fan of Old Wild West Pancake. I have supported them through the past few years and specifically the pandemic. On Sunday I have never been more disappointed in a restaurant. I was actually telling people that were sitting next to us after weve been there for awhile to leave if they were in a rush.1. 1.5 hours to get food2. Multiple bigger parties got their food before my friend and I3. My friends order was incorrect and cold4. My order came 15 minutes after my friends5. Nothing was done besides a sorry6. Flies everywhereI will give them a chance in the future but Im not going to be returning anytime soon.
Tables, chairs and floor looked dirty and sticky, which made me wonder about the condition of the kitchen. Food is mediocre, and two people in my group got our order wrong. It took 45 minutes just to get a table, and another hour to get our food. It seemed that the kitchenwas prioritizing to-go orders, which makes sense, but more balance would have been nice for the poor saps in the booths who kept being told any minute now.I dont blame the staff for this, I think the place is poorly run in general. And speaking of staff, it makes me wonder what the working conditions must be like. On the day we went, it looked like all the adults had disappeared and the entire place had been left in the hands of three teenagers. My heart went out to those poor kids, who looked incredibly stressed yet remained polite and professional and did their best to take care of us and keep our coffee refilled while they scrambled to fill orders. It is because of them that I give this place two stars when it really deserves none.
A pretty decent breakfast place. i enjoy coming here with my girlfriend, and so far they havent messed up any of our orders. i adore their suzette sauce, and their pancakes are pretty delicious. i also greatly appreciate the staff, theyre always extremely friendly.
Food was food. Service was great. Coffee or water never went empty. The german apple pancake was different, but delicious.
The food is really good here, as well as the service. The reason for 4 star as opposed to 5 is they had children running around the restaurant including the kitchen. It appeared the kids were the staffs and they were trying to corral them into a section of the restaurant with a TV.
We are visiting from Arizona. Food is very good. They have an excellent menu. Highly recommended.

Not expensive place,but Ive asked for a blue berry pancakes and I asked for on the side natural strawberries,they brought me old strawberries with syrup and I didnt like it,pancakes okay,eggs okay,but not the meat,maybe it was because the cheap price,then i say so soThey have good customer service do

Took a second to find where this was but once in we were seated at a large booth and my daughter was able to run around in it. The service was slow but it gave us a chance to talk and interact with our daughter. Our food came and it was so good. I had chicken fried steak and eggs with pancakes and my wife had the denver omelet. Mine was very good. Sometimes CFS can be too salty but this was perfection. The pancakes were fluffy and sweet. Would recommend this place and will be back.
I had to leave this restaurant before even eating or drinking anything! The doors look so dirty, furniture outdated. Workers seemed so dead not full of life. I didnt wanna even drink my drink because the ice in my coke looked dirty. Waiter looked like he didnt shower and wiped sweat on himself which grossed us out! This place is so sad they charged us 7.07 for two sodas! Thank God I didnt eat here probually would of got sick!

You might be thrown off by the arguments and little kids running around but the waiters do their best and are very nice. The food is great and surprised me by how good it was.

Love this place! I just received a new grubhub order and had to say something. I work nearby and I have tried most of the the things on the menu and everything I have tried is very good. It may not look fancy or trendy, but its awesome. They make their Ranch and Guacamole fresh. Breakfast, all great. I especially like their omlettes and pancakes (light and amazing). Their sandwiches are so good with the bread roll toasted just right with plies of high quality meats. Patty melt was delicious, but thats the only burger Ive tried. Salads yum - with lots of veggies. Their Mexican food is surprisingly good. Better than many mexican restaurants I have been to. I cannot say enough about the food here, espcially for the price! The service is also friendly and fast!
Decently cooked eggs and hash. There was a hair in it because (presumably) the owner cooked without a net or cap of any kind.

What a magnificent find!!! Food was super good and the service was even better. The dinning room has the feel of an old time local family restaurant. And being greeted by almost everyone there, immediately makes you feel at home.I had the Chicken Fried Steak and eggs that was delish. Joe opted for the traditional ham and eggs. Both plates were great. Protion size was just right. We also split a German pancake and to our surprise was the bomb!We were wanting to try a different place for bkfst however the wait times were ridiculous. Then we e stumbled onto this gem by using YELP. So glad we did.
The waitstaff is terrible they get mad when you ask them for something and the lady is breathing very hard all the time, it scares me she might have something wrong with her

I give this place 5 STARS EVERYTIME!!!! This place has some of the most delicious food that Ive had the pleasure of sitting down to eat at. My girlfriend and I found this place accidentally and within a month have been back 5 times. Every time we come here, we get EXCELLENT customer service and just as great of food if not better. Not saying anything bad about the customer service, im just describing how AMAZING the food really is. The staff is absolutely kind and hospitable. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT.

The staff is extremely friendly and made the experience pleasurable. However, we went to this place twice on our week vacation for the German Pancakes. Every bite of the pancake was like an explosion of yummy yummy goodness in my mouth.
This place is a gem hidden in a humble building. It is a family run restaurant and the service is incredible. They are friendly and kind. The food is excellent. The pancakes are the best I have ever eaten. The hash browns were incredible. I really urge you to give this place a try.
The food was very good. I had the breakfast skillet. It also came with pancakes. I will order this again. The service was good and our server has a great personality. The prices are very reasonable as compared to downtown which isnt very far away.
Used to be a regular here ... then the staff in the kitchen changed and nothing was the same. Figured it had been a while so I would give them another shot. Sat at the table for over 50 minutes without food, with a baby, that was getting more and more upset about the wait. Left without ever getting out food, we saw two tables get their food even thou they were sat well after us. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

The place is a family oriented hole in the wall with GREAT food! We travel frequently and said ah what the hell and tried some biscuits and gravy, a omelet and a BLT! We were NOT let down between the food or the prices!! Friendly, family restaurant and we would go back!!#Yum #NotreDame

Placed a breakfast order to go on Sunday morning. Had to wait a few minutes to be helped, but the younger female server was very helpful and was able to expedite our to go order quickly and efficiently! She was awesome! Average diner food.

German pancakes were amazing. Was not crowded and service was excellent. Chicken fried steak was also very good. A minor negative is the coffee is a little bland. Edit: Have been back again and regular pancakes and waffles were also great! Pancake sandwich is a good value meal. Service still excellent.

Ive been going to old west for over a year. Even had my mothers birthday brunch here! food is absolutely delicious! However stopped in to try the diner at night it was garbage! I will continue to come for breakfast but will not recommend the restaurant at night!
The bomb! I love everything about this place! Had bacon & eggs with hash browns, tortillas, & green chili. Everything was delicious. Also had an Absolut Screwdriver which I was very thankful for considering the condition I was in from the night before. This place appears to be a reconditioned Village Inn or Cocos. Probably family-owned. The outside conditions are a little dingy, but dont let that detract you, inside was clean & well-kept. Server was a nice kid who was very attentive despite the fact that our table ran his ass off. If you go to Denver & stay at LA Quinta on Park Avenue, it is right next door.

Stayed at the motel next to the restaurant so we caught this place on a lucky whim. Service was amazing, food was very tasty, portions were great, and the prices didnt break the bank. The cook Manual came out to check on or food and was very friendly. Full menu all day. Pancakes were fluffy and delightful.
The food was awesome hot and delicious. service was amazing very kind and friendly. My pregnant girlfriend even got cherries on her pie. She was thrilled and shes a hard one to impress. we were just thrilled all around a great place, great food, great service and very clean.

Unfortunately the service was terrible, the food was subpar and took 45 minutes to arrive (just bacon, eggs, and pancakes, yall), and the restaurant and restrooms were not clean. I dont see this place staying open more than another few months. Props to the hostess who was waiting ALL of the tables on her own for the most part. I could see four people in the kitchen, but she was not getting any help on the floor.
This quaint pancake house and grill has very good food and service. The restaurant atmosphere is nothing special... its comfortable. I had the eggs and bacon with a side of pancakes... it was perfect.
So our reasoning was that this was next to the LaQuinta and would be great for lunch. We walked in and there was only 1 customer other than us but we weren’t alarmed; we went for dinner at around 6 pm. The waitress handed us a menu that indicated this was now a Mexican restaurant. We ordered and we got salsa and chips. The salsa tasted a little off so I stopped eating it but my sister kept eating it. My rice tasted off so I stopped eating it after one bite. My sister ate the taco salad and we got one for my mother to go. The next morning both my sister and mother were throwing up and had food poisoning and I know d!&?! well it was from this restaurant. It’s unfortunate because: 1. That is not a bad location and 2. I can’t tell you how disappointing it was to be willing to try a new family owned place and to have family get so sick during our vacation.I thought about calling the Denver Health Department but have not. However my advice is avoid this place like the plague.

I feel bad giving this place two stars because the service was fantastic and it seems like an old haunt for a lot of regulars and locals. While my breakfast items seemed fresh, the wings were most likely old from the smell and taste. In addition to this, the window sill near my booth looked as if it was some sort of elephant graveyard for insects. The lack of professional cleaning in the dining area makes me worry that their kitchen would make for a good episode of Kitchen Nightmares.
Could use some updates the food is very good and service is awesome the food is made to order so it takes some time to get it its worth the wait if you have the time keep this place alive true service and good. Food are hard to find Someone See good local busines

This place needs some major attention to cleanliness. I remember it being dirty when I dined in months ago, but ordered through a delivery service today due to limited breakfast options on New Years day. There was a disgusting long hair right on top of my eggs and hash browns! Unacceptable!!
