A great place to get a feel of the ole style American diner. Food was ok, normal sized portions, but really pricey for what you get. I spent $65 on breakfast, at a diner to be exact, and could of gotten more at a higher end place. Nothing fancy, and the peanut butter french toast was weak, as in barely a slather of peanut butter. Server and staff was great though.
This place is open 24 hours and the food is pretty decent. The portion sizes are huge, so order with that in mind. The menu is straight forward and traditional. If you are hungry and have big appetite, this is the place. The atmosphere is casual, friendly, and laid back. Prices are okay for the portions - remember they are not small. This is my second time here and I will return.
I visited Denver Diner Sunday morning and was seated right away after other restaurants had hours-long waits. Our server was super friendly and the menu contained all the breakfast favorites as well as standard diner lunch fare. I ordered the huevos rancheros and my husband ordered a take on biscuits and gravy. Our potatoes were super good and crispy, and the biscuits were delicious! Next time, I would specify that I wanted pork and not vegetarian chili on mine, but was tasty nonetheless. This no-frills diner had great food, great service, and affordable prices!
Pretty solid. Could be 4.5 maybe, some of the dishes really just hit the spot. Classic diner feel works well, nice and casual for a quick sit down. The diner food is what it should be, you dont really get anything too surprising. The service is always on point.Get to see some classic Denver shenanigans if youre there late at night.
Good view, not too noisy for being right next to colfax.Wait staff are awesome and very attentive. We had Sara. She was amazing.Food was really good. Nothing fancy, but Exactly what I wanted. If your a French toast fan, you have got to try their crunchy French toast. Its amazing! Eggs were cooked perfect and they are one of the few to get my bacon right the first time!
This was my first time ever eating at this establishment. First impressions: nice and clean. Stopped in for lunch on a weekday. Server was friendly and attentive. The order came out quick and was absofrigginlutely delicious. I ordered the club sandwich with no tomato. It was filled to the brim with meat I could barely fit it in my mouth. Normally I would always order a side of something else so I would feel full but the portions here are spot on! Kudos to both the kitchen and the front end staff! I will definitely be back.
Always amazing food. Dont forget to try the Bloody Marys! Excellent!! I recommend the the Denver Benny as well. My fiances first Eggs benedict was here and now its a must when we travel through to Denver, we both love it so much! Thanks for the many years of consistently great food Denver Diner!
Its a diner. As far as diners go, there menu is extensive, the facility is fairly clean, and there grilled cheese is a grilled cheese. This is a great place for a super later dinner where you just need something quick.5 stars because it is a great diner and shouldnt be compared to other restaurants that are not diners.
This place has the best basted eggs in Denver. They are perfectly cooked every time, no matter what you order. The Huevos Rancheros are excellent, the green chili has very good flavor. The service is Always good and the servers are very friendly. Always open so if you are hungry late at night, this is a very good choice

After careful planning of my sons 22nd birthday, the place we went to eat, Avanti F & B, though stating everywhere on the web that they were open till 11, was all closed up by 9:30 except the bars. We dont get downtown often and the evening threatened to derail and then Denver Diner popped into my head! It turned out, it was the best idea of the night. Our server Myrissa (I hope I spelled that right!) was FANTASTIC! So kind and nice with a gorgeous smile, we were all charmed instantly. Then she gave us the best service we have had anywhere in quite awhile. She saved the night! And the food was enjoyed all around, despite the late hour. I only took a photo of the bacon & cabbage soup (fantastically amazing), it was all so good and we were so very hungry that we just had an old fashioned dinner, eating and conversing. I know, right?! My son and his friends had never been and they each declared that this was going to be their new late night spot when downtown. Thank you Myrissa and Denver Diner for saving the day!!
First time here. Workers were friendly, food was very good. The burger was huge, cooked just how i asked. They put the wrong kind of cheese on it, but it wasnt a big deal. The steak fries were a little over cooked. The food was good, and i will probably go back, but the price was a little higher than i want to spend on a regular basis.
The waitress was extra patient with me as I could not get off the phone to order my food. The food arrived and it was excellent. Im going to change this to five stars they were great
They liked to tow people even if they were regular customers. Their food wasn’t great anyway just conveniently located. Not sorry they are closing.
Place is right off the busy street and easy to find. Place is a bit more expensive then the usual cafes I stop at but the food was very filling and service was amazing. Heather served us, if in the area we would definitely visit again!
Amazing! Great spins on classic dishes. Highly recommend giving one of the grilled cheeses sandwiches a try. Really nice easy going atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Portions are large so be hungry or ready for left overs. Highly recommend checking out this spot if your in the area. Great late night spot!
I have always loved this place. Sad its only open for a small amount of time. Cant wait for them to be 24/7 again. The food is amazing
Great food awesome atmosphere servers are awesome place is clean. Best burgers in town. Been in for breakfast with family. Wife loves the Colorado omelette, son loves the Denver omelette, daughter love the chocolate chip pancakes and i love the everything burrito. For lunch we usually order from the specials. When we go in for dinner all of us pick a burger from there menu. If you are ever in downtown Denver stop by for a great time and food. They also sell liquor.
Really enjoyed my breakfast. The French toast was great. The service wasnt the best from our waitress she didnt smile or greet us well and was very short with us so thats why only 4 stars
We came across this diner completely by chance. We were visiting from Iowa and got married in Glenwood Springs. This diner is sparkling clean and so shiny!!!!!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍✨✨ I had the Philly which was amazing and I forget the name of the burger my husband had but this is the 1st time I have seen him snap a picture of food!! He loved it! Best fries I have had in a very long time!! Big portions too! Neither of us could finish but we sure did bring the rest with us! The waitress was great! The owner I assume even came out and chatted with us as we paid, you dont see that in Iowa unless you know them! Definitely saving your beautiful diner for a return visit!!!
What kind of diner doesnt have a classic breakfast sandwich?! Giving four stars because of this, and when we ordered one of the dishes as a sandwich, they didnt even put the cheese on it. French toast was delicious though, and if you get a mimosa, its literally a pint glass of champagne with a splash of oj! What a deal!
Food was amazing the waitress was amazing and the environment was very clean thank you so much I wish the food was that good up here in the High Country in the Vail Valley its sad I have to drive all the way down to Denver just to get a good meal love yall thank you stay safe in this pandemic
Everyone at our table was quite pleased. Fast, efficient, and courteous service. This place has a good feel to it.
Great diner. Bacon Benny was really good. The wife had the classic egg breakfast and even though she thinks she prefers hash browns she was loving their home fries.
Loved it. Nice people. Clean. Good service. Got the order quickly and accurately. Authentic diner experience. And the price was so reasonable. The portion size was amazing
Food and service was great. We were from out of town and they still let us order and eat even though it was close to them closing it was great
Has always been the spot to hit up for a late night bite. They arnt open 24/7 due to covid but they always have great dishes. One of the old staples of Denver.
This is my wife and I little breakfast spot. We try to go every Saturday when we can. The staff is friendly, professional and attentive. Outstanding Service!!!!
Still love your steak and eggs.Best Sirlion steak in town too.Had a taste of Belgium 🇧🇪 Waffles, lasted all day. Thank you to the Servers, Compliments to the Chef.
My friend and I went to take a break from work and get some dinner close by. We had, I have to assume, an inexperienced server. She ran herself to the point of bad service. After a long wait we finally got dinner. Beef Stoganoff. We were splitting it. My girlfriend had gotten the same dish here about a week ago and said it was great. Well not this night. I took ONE bite and couldnt take Not one more. The meat was a bit tough but it wasnt that really. It tasted like liver! In the end we were treated right. We werent charged, and each opted for a Belgium waffle. A manager served us and we left satisfied. But for wanting a good quick dinner at a diner, 2 hours later we were back at work with enough energy to finish the job!
We ate here after our home show. The service was good the food was good. I have to say everything was better than expected. I would recommend having a bite to eat here. The diners I have been to in the past were a let down this one was good. So give it a chance come in and give it a try good food good service what else can you want. We will see you in February at the next home show.
Good variety of food. Has quick, friendly service. Everything from all day breakfast, to sandwiches, to burgers and beyond. Has moderate prices and large servings. Recommended. Family friendly.
Denver Diner is one of those places that Im sure has been there for awhile, and theres definitely a reason for it. I ordered the Mass Confusion, which is buttermilk biscuits and gravy with crumbled bacon on top, scrambled eggs and home fries. Its exactly what I expected, and I even had leftovers. The serving sizes here are always more than one person should eat, and I feel like you definitely get what you pay for. My friend told me their burgers are really good as well. The coffee was good, and our server Salem was amazing. I learned after our meal that she is new to this establishment, but I would have never guessed it. Shes attentive, quick and accurate, and we never once wanted for anything. Tip this young lady well! She deserves it. To the proprietors of this establishment; keep Salem as long as you can and treat her well. Employees like her are hard to find. Definitely recommend this place for breakfast (Ive only eaten breakfast here).
Nothing to write home about. I didnt miss it when it was closed from the fire. Its not terrible, however, its not great either. Its average cafe food. Plenty of better spots but not plenty with better hours. Thats its best feature-the hours.
When one thinks diner, one often thinks of basic, greasy food which serves only as caloric intake for breakfast, or when mildly drunk. Denver diner meets those needs, but goes much further by providing flavorful, well prepared food, with a surprising level of quality. A diverse menu, with some great homemade stuff, (try their vegetarian green chili!) and well prepared, comfort foods.
Went there on a friday i think. ill return family next time. it has a great atmosphere. feels like a cafe in phoenix that i enjoyed visiting.
Get a lot of food for a good price ($13.00)it was delicious I had what they call a stoners delight which was hearty slices of meatloaf on Texas toast with country gravy two eggs over easy and hash browns.
This spot is wonderful brunch, lunch, dinner, and whatever in between! The food is delicious with very large portions that fit the price of the meals. It being near downtown Denver is great, and having customer parking is very helpful. Overall its atmosphere, food, and convenience really make this an experience to remember!
After the renovations the place still has a nice homey feel with updated furnishings and building. The food is still good and the service is always good. No matter the time of day or night. Boozy milkshakes are also a plus.
Delicious and rich food. I ordered the Stoner’s Delight and it definitely fit the titular name. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten so much food in one sitting and still had stuff left on my plate!
The atmosphere was inviting and pleasantly surprising! And the aroma from the kitchen made my mouth water as I expected breakfast was going to be tasty, and it was. Better yet, the reasonable pricing had me feeling good about our choice to dine in. Get this... I asked for coffee, the time was 7:30ish a.m., I never expected or would even hope for what happened next!!! Our waitress asked if maybe I wouldnt prefer a BLOODY MARY!! What?!?! The drink was better than I imagined a diner to serve 😉 Go there!!
For breakfast the Denver omelet was excellent. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.
Love the food, service and atmosphere! I come here often, specially when we have family in town as they have a great view of the city from inside the dining room.
Its exactly what you should expect from a diner. Great food. Great prices.
Great place, fast service, plenty of tables. Great food, large servings. Clean and fun atmosphere. Go there, especially if you dont know the area and are driving around hungry. Huge menu, youll find something for sure.
Great service. Food is fantastic and poetry of it. The place is spotless.
Great food. Great service! I love going late at night when we get off our shifts from work. Our server was Roni she was on top of it with great A service.
Grate place, awesome food. Family oriented diner. Come and visit.
Back again from out of town, so we made sure to go back to this diner. And Ill tell it did not disappoint, The food is just so good, and the waitress was so nice. So if we ever come back to Denver Ill sure go again. I based this review on the three times weve been here.
Well. This is not the place to come if you want food that needs to be seasoned. As a chef Im appalled by the lack of salt and pepper on this chicken let alone the large amounts of varying seasoning that could be used . It was bland. Bland chicken does not belong in a diner it belongs in the trash. And their rum sauce from there bananas fosters looks like a child tried to make it. Oil brown sugar bananas and probably a shot of artificial flavor syrup. Thanks for ruining a good breakfast.
Went here at about 1 AM had excellent service and excellent food!!! Service was fast and excellent. Awesome diner and keeps it on the cheaper side
Day after Christmas breakfast was A+ all the way. When you have a hungry teenager the DENVER Diner is the place to go. Great job. Fresh hot big and super fast!
