My wife and I really could not have been happier with the choices our designer steered us into for a new construction in Downtown Superior. The process was fun and low stress. Our designer was awesome, friendly, and down to earth. We do not feel that we had to spend big to get a great result. We both understand one simple but very important thing - take the advice of designers because they design / decorate for a living. Dont take offense if they politely try to steer you in a slightly different direction. When we walked in to our finished living room, it was a true wow moment. We were so happy we are engaging our new construction designer for post move in decorating.

This design studio is nothing more than a showroom with a mediocre selection that has no respect for consumer transparency. This business model counts on you not understanding costing and rolling overcharged upgrades into your mortgage.They do not provide pricing per square foot of materials or pricing sheets, instead they provide a whole house quote. As a tradesmen I am no stranger to materials and labor costs of home renovation. Not providing square footage cost or a price breakdown was a major red flag. I calculated our required dimensions of desired materials with an additional 15% to submit for vendor quotes immediately after leaving our design consultation. ALL quotes including labor came back AT LEAST 50% less than what Saddleback wanted to charge, which was as expected. For example, our quote to carpet 1400 sq. ft. of upstairs space (and remember there is no removal or disposal of old material in this new construction) was 18k dollars! Same carpet, same brand quoted between 7k-9k from external vendors. This business preys on the uneducated and over excited home buyer and counts on you being locked into a new home contract. Because most people finance their house, their business model is to sell you upgrades at a premium price that you can only afford by rolling them into your mortgage. Most typical buyers would need to wait 15 years to establish home equity to take a line of credit or save up the money to make home mods and updates. Consumers please remember that you are paying a premium through Saddleback and if you are rolling it into your mortgage you are now paying interest on the already overpriced upgrades. We went from the idea of building our dream home to being stuck with a 700k basic builders grade house just days after signing the contract and placing our down payment. Whoever your builder is, make sure they let you visit your design center prior to signing any paperwork and make sure your design studio provides accurate sq. ft. costing on a price sheet that can be compared with other vendors to ensure fair market value. Also ensure your builder is willing to credit for materials they wont use if you upgrade. We wish we would have know all of this before we got scammed. Zero stars if possible for unethical business practice.

Basic selection of floors, tile and pretty much everything else for top dollar. This design studio does not offer any drawings or even pictures of your selected options, Im not even mentioning no electronic 3D design of the space! They only show you small samples of tiles/floors/countertops and leave the rest for your imagination. Prices are doubled on everything you can find in Home Depot! Im extremely disappointed and underwhelmed to say the least... waiting for my new house to get build for almost a year and then will need to rip all of their basic included options out and wait another year to fix it up to my expectations. Consulting the Saddleback about their inventory/prices before buying the house was not an option so I got screwed!

We are incredibly happy with our experience at SaddleBack with our designer Shelly. She offered excellent advice and guidance which helped us feel confident in our choices. My builder didn’t provide me all the info originally and Mary spent at least 20 minutes with me to assist in gathering my info. PATTI IS THE BEST!I work in hospitality so I feel its so important to recognize exceptional service. Patti honestly made this experience easy and actually very fun! I was kind of dreading this because I knew it would cost a lot of money and Im very particular about what I want in my house. First off, Patti was honest with me the whole time and told me what was and was not worth the additional costs, which I appreciated. She also was very considerate of my budget and tried creative ways to find similar items within my range. I was really not sold on the flooring I was selecting and Patti went out of her way to pull inventory from all over the showroom because she would rather me find someone I absolutely loved. I have never been happier about my selection for my new build. I highly, highly recommend Patti! Well done!

This is the company to go to if you are doing a home! I had one small bathroom remodel to finish that needed granite for the sink, ledge and shower. Instead I got a whole team of people helping me pick out my colors, measure the area and do the install. Thank you so much to Jana, Patti and Abraham for your excellent communication and keeping your scheduled appointment with me. Great job to the fab team that did my granite (it turned out to be quartz – better) we are going to enjoy our home upgrade for years.

My first time at a design shop like this; came here in preparation for our new Wonderland Homes house. We were able to set up a meeting quickly with our designer. We had a spec house, so we could only change a couple of things, but they took us through our options and had samples available. She even took us through options we didnt know were available. The paperwork for the options was then processed quickly.

Amazing. The space is huge with lots of examples of current design choices. We worked with Patti, she was great at showing me the best options within my budget. At the end, it did get a little tiring which is why they have you back again to make sure that you are good with everything. I ended up changing the paint color and carpet which were the last things I chose the previous appointment. Im very happy with their communication, they were great working with my schedule, even when I had to change our appointment twice. Im a Realtor, so I see a lot of design centers, but this one was the best Ive worked with...glad it was for my personal home!

Purchased a new house under warranty however warranty department at Saddleback may as well not exist. Our 12 month walk-thru was in November. Scheduled repair appointments consistently missed. Its now the end of March. 1 of 3 repairs were finally addressed however the work that was done on our wood floors left them in worse condition than they were before. Now once again I keep getting the run around and at this point just plain ignored. They clearly dont have integrity and arent able to competently schedule and keep appointments. Save yourself a headache and go elsewhere.

Charity my assigned designer has great taste and I enjoyed my time picking out my most valued finishes. Well done Saddleback Design.

If I could give zero stars I would. Im beyond disappointed with my Saddleback design experience. Be sure to ask that they clarify each and every item on your color sheet in writing if youre using them through a builder. We wanted a full backsplash to our ceiling. The color sheet stated that it was a full backsplash; however, they only installed tile up to our hood. They billed me nearly $900 to finish the remaining 3.5 sq ft. Their waste estimation for tile installation is grossly overestimated and they remove the extra tile that you paid for from the jobsite.They also left stains on my hardwood floors and never installed my fireplace tile returns as indicated on my color spec sheet. Needless to say, I will not let a single Saddleback-related item go unaddressed in my 60 day walk through - including the numerous uneven tile that was installed or the shoddy grout work.
