This was a great place to visit and buy at. I swear they have every comic book related toy there is. You just have to find it lol. Vintage toys, new toys, vintage comic books and new ones. The comics from the 90s you always thought you should have bought, they have them. I had a blast and left with a lighter wallet, but very happy.
This place is massive. Walls and shelves are stuffed with comics, graphic novels, pop toys, Manga, and figurines. Anyone could get lost looking for something or just browsing everything they have. They also have some tcgs there and a random mtg pile that you could go through and purchase for the cheap.
Very helpful and LGBTQ+ friendly!!! I loved every moment I spent within the walls!!! They have a cute little cat named Cambridge who I loved quite a lot!! Staff was very friendly and helpful!! Made his jokes and were genuinely fun to be around. If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would definitely do so!! I asked a member of the staff if they had anything related to the dark crystal, and while I was looking at the comics they directed me to, the guy who helped me find them went out of his way to bring me a hard cover book about the dark crystal without even being asked!!! They were all absolutely wonderful and helpful!!!
Best comic book store bar none. Chuck Rozanski has created a mecca for the comic culture. Always very helpful and also very warm friendly environment.
Great selection, very helpful staff. I found a bunch of comics from my childhood in the $1 bins, and overall had a great time. But accessibility isnt great. There is a ramp to get into the building, but you have to call a phone number for access. There was also not an accessible stall in the womens restroom, and my wheelchair was definitely too large for any other stalls.
I have an adult son who is a true comic book enthusiast who has been telling me about this comic book shop for a very long time. He always tells me how someday he is going to go here and spend not just all day here, but lots of money when he does. Actually he has ordered comics from there, shipped to him. I personally made a recent trip to Denver and decided I myself had to go. I didnt tell him I was going to go. I sent him a picture included here saying look what I just spotted. I did not tell him I was going inside and then took many more pictures inside. His sister bought him a comic. Once we got home I surprised him with the details and shared the rest of the pictures with him.
My best friend is wanted to visit here since he was a boy. We had such a blast looking and reading it made purchasing even better. So happy to spend time and money here. A truly amazing place!!!!!
Should be called mile high collectables as they carry more than just comics. Lots of signed and uncommon items throughout the store.
Very disappointing. As a serious collector, this was supposed to be the highlight of my trip. Most books are listed at almost double the FMV (if not more). I definitely dont mind paying a premium to support a business. However, this was far beyond that. You are better off looking for a smaller local shop or online. Support your shops, but dont get taken advantage of.
When I go to Mile High Comics I know its gonna be a fun day. Even if I leave empty handed theres so much to take in. I really enjoy taking people here for their first time to see the excitement as they walk in. I always have to take multiple pictures and send them to people because theres always something I want to show someone, or things I think they would want. I brought my 6yo son here for the first time a few weeks ago and he cant wait to go back.
This is the biggest and coolest comic store, in America. Mile High Comics got very addictive, with every turn, its some awesome hero youre running into. Place was safe, and friendly about it. They also offered military discounts. This place will become your favorite comic store. I really enjoyed myself.
Lived in Co. for over 20 + years and was my first time visiting. This place did not dissapoint. The staff was very warm and welcoming right through the door to me and my daughter (who visited her 1st comic store that day) this place had so much selection it blew my mind. You, for sure, have a couple customers for life.
An amazing store and experience. Just incredible the amount of comics and items they have to browse though. Mike was the best and was a huge help! If Im ever in Denver I will definitely be back!
Great selection, Ive found a lot of my favorite comics from buying trades Id probably never have seen if I hadnt randomly found them here. Their website isnt the best but its good to get an idea of what they have if you want anything to specific. Also they have an awesome cat.
This place is great.... If youre just looking for a museum. The prices here are so high that its a shock that anything ever sells. I spot checked about 20 comic books while I was there, and the prices were almost always several TIMES higher than they should be. Here are a few examples. These are graded, so the values should be pretty close to standard.Batman #167 in CGC 6.5 last sold for $55. Theyre charging $150, almost triple.Amazing Spider-Man #38 in CGC 7.0 is worth $150. Maybe $200 on a good day. Theyre charging $500. Again, about triple. Its the same story all over the store. I stumbled across a late 80s Batman issue I was interested in. It was marked $37. I bought a near mint copy on eBay for $12 when I got home. The prices on generic back issues from the 90s might be okay, but be really careful buying anything valuable here.
I love this shop! They always have the most kind people there to support you and make sure your store visit goes great! Their items in stock are always great too!
Very cool place. Took my stuff and got an offer. I thought it was a little low but I didnt see any greed coming from the staff. They were pretty cool and really value the products. Other places use intimidation and ignorance to take advantage of the customer. I didnt feel that way at all at this mile high comics. Thank you guys.
A really amazing store! I went down to get some artistic inspiration and was not disappointed. Always happy to come by and pick up a comic or two at least. It is enjoyable to see the amount of collectables and classic toys on display for sale. The life sized characters such as Carnage and Nightcrawler were a joy to see in person
Mile High Comics is well known world wide. Just check out the map with all the pins near the entrance. Their selection of comics alone is massive. From $1 comics to high end graded comics they have pretty much anything and everything comics. Along with the impressive collection of vintage and modern toys and more that Mile High Comics offers theres pretty much something for everyone. The only downside, IMO, is the somewhat limited parking, the proximity to rail road tracks and the fact that its housed in a warehouse. Overall Mille High Comics is a go to must for collectors and pop culture enthusiasts.
Are you interested in comics and/or graphic novels? Need to round out your favorite sci-fi collection?? Then this is the place for you!!! A HUGE collection of comics and collectibles.... good prices, helpful staff and a huge assortment!!
What a fun store! We spent almost an hour inside!
Very cool place and very big. Worth your time if you like comics and toys.
If you want a comic book want to know about a comic book (there is so much more than just comic books here) or just want to go somewhere in Denver that will make you feel great thats not a dispensary . This is the place to go . Great helpful people too!
The biggest and the best. Thats really all there is to it. From comics to manga to Funkos and action figures to all manner of other things, this is the place.
Pretty disappointed. After seeing a lot of 5 star reviews I had high expectations this place was high quality. I waited for 45 minutes to see if they would value my comics and I never get helped. They have a huge selection of comics which is great but if youre looking to sell, Id suggest looking somewhere else.
Ive never seen a place anything like this in my life--millions of volumes, probably more than my university library, all in one gigantic warehouse. The majority of the floor space is reserved for back-inventory that is employees-only, but there is still an astonishing amount for browsers to see. A fairly small manga inventory that a clerk assured me would be gradually expanded over the coming months. I really cant speak highly enough about this place.
I love this store and visit every time Im in town. All of the staff is super knowledgeable and helps me find exactly what Im looking for. I enjoy seeing all of the collector items they have as well.
Had this on my roadtrip list of must-see places in Colorado and didnt even realize this was the largest comic book store in America. Walked inside and yeah, could totally see it lol. I couldnt believe how many comics were at this shop, on top of cool merchandise and other fun items.Rows and rows of comic books. You easily need an entire day of free time in order to browse and shop this store in a fun and detailed manner. I snagged some pretty cool old comics from Rumiko Takahashi (The Mermaid graphic novels) and was soo excited to actually be able to get these.
Had a nice long layover in denver. The only thing I had in mind was heck yes.....This is my opportunity to go to Mile High Comics.Having visited comic book shops all over the country, and in some other parts of the world; Mile High comic stands out from the rest not just due to the sheer volume and selections. You dont understand there and think theres just too much I wont find what I wantThe moment you start looking, that changes immediately. The staff is exceptionally knowledgeable, the store is unbelievably well organized for what theyve got going on in regards to their concept.Exceeded my expectations and supersedes their reputation to the max! If only I can get a comic store like this going on in my hometown! Thanks for the amazing experience
Mile High Comics is a bucket list destination for any person who considers themselves for be an aficionado of comic books and comic culture!Off Interstate 70 and tucked into a business district, the shop is actually a 45,000 foot warehouse dedicated to all matters of geekery.Foremost - the comic books. Graphic novels, out of print, rare, and historical (and pricey) comics can be found from Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Impact, and independent publishers who put out monthly titles. You can also find memorabilia from TV, film, and web series, including some items that are true show pieces, like life size replicas of: Mike and Sully, a giant LEGO Sentinel from the X-Men, Slimer from Ghostbusters, Gollum from LOTR, and more. The staff are friendly (even the cat) and knowledgeable and the prices range from great to decent. It’s a must see, for any nerd. Excelsior!
So much to see and worth the time looking at everything. Scored Gumby and Pokey figures.
Overwhelming amount of goods. Selection is unbeatable, however, there’s so much stuff that it looks cluttered. Would love to see a bigger enamel pin section.
Easily the best comic shop ever! Absolutely earns its claim to biggest and best in America, walking through here you feel like you are at a convention its so amazing! Enough can not be said about this place, if you havent gone yet go now!
Awesome place, bought from them mail order years ago, finally got to visit in person, check that off my bucket list!
Great place. but more importantly, they have a cat that has the run of the place, so in case you have cat allergies, be careful and best of luck.Still worth the visit.
I decided to vacation in Denver this year and visited Mile High Comics to get off my bucket list.. The venue is awesome. It is everything I ever dreamed of as a kid. Always wanted to visit this place because of advertisements in the comics I would read. With that said,, I have been reading and collecting comics for over 40 years and know how to price them. Prices here are ridiculous, even with their 40% off sale. I asked the representative helping how they price their books and he said the owner and management set prices. Again, ridiculous prices. I found same comics at other local comic stores here in Denver for way less and what they are actually worth.
So cool! Filled with everything you could ever possibly dream of and probably some stuff you had no idea even existed. Definitely a great place to visit in Denver
I have visited Mile High Comics several times over the years, it is the worlds LARGEST comic shop hands down, cool place to visit, friendly staff, LOTS of things to look at, TONS of comics all exactly what you would want from a giant comic shop.Thats the good of it, now for the bad.I have been buying comics for over 27 years now, I know what is on my want list, how much it costs, how much it is going for on flea-bay, how much Overstreet price guide has them for, know most of the values of my collecting. I really dont know where Mile High comes up with there prices, maybe they are a mile high when they set them. Everything on my list was EASY 10 times what they should be, yes you read that right TEN TIMES not ten percent! Books that I easily found at other Denver area shops for $4-$6 each were priced at $40-$60 dollars at Mile High. Even with the offered 40% discount they were still priced so far out of reality that instead of shopping and making purchases, I was finding the next ridiculously over priced comic and laughing harder and harder every time. I dont really know how this place stays in business with their prices SO high. Maybe its the people who use the N.I.C.E. subscription service, but I can not believe that people would pay these prices when there are so many other both local, and web based shops that keep their prices where they should be. The store was so dusty and dingy my wife chose to wait in the car for 2 hours on a hot day in Denver.I am sorry to say this, but Chuck Rozanskis shop is prof that hoarders dont want to sell their stuff, or if they are they are going to ask Mile High prices for it!Super friendly cat though, if I am ever in the area again I will stop by to give it a scratch, but wont be buying unless they bring their prices back from Mars to an Earthly reality.
Was there for the excellent pro wrestling show, and if your into comics it is the best and largest!!!
I asked them a question if they had inventory of a certain item and after looking at my message they just blew it off. This place is run by idiots and apparently... they dont have the inventory despite it being a warehouse. Save your money and go to a local ma and pa comic book store. This place ant it chief
Amazing selection, super helpful and friendly employees! And the best part? There’s a cat you can pet
I was visiting Denver for a couple of days and heard good things about this and decided to check it out. I was pretty disappointed the store was a bit run down. Most of the comics on the wall were faded. Alot of the back issues were way over priced. I hate to think that theyre ripping people off that dont know there true value.
I have complicated feelings about Mile High Comics. I’ve heard many negative stories over the years about this place, and my own experiences haven’t always been positive. On the other hand, its also an undeniable thrill to venture into the worlds largest comic-book store. From the Silver Age comics on display (too expensive to buy, but still fun to look at) to the life-size X-wing fighter from Star Wars to the sheer number of long-boxes, the store is dazzlingly impressive. It’s almost unfair to try and compare this store to other comic shops. It is HUGE. It has EVERYTHING. Just take the $1.00 comics by themselves. You know, the long boxes filled with unsorted issues? There are SO many of those that they would ENTIRELY fill the premises of many of the other comic shops around town. Just the dollar comics by themselves!Still, let’s stop using all-caps and try for some balance. There’s good and theres bad to sort through at this store, once you set aside the GARGANTUAN premises. Oops, sorry – there’s that all-caps usage, again! Many people complain online about the high prices, the antique web-site, the listless, uncaring staff... and there are times when the worlds largest comic-book store also seems to be the worlds most confusing comic-book store. Lately, however, theyve rearranged the sections in a more sensible fashion. The staff seems more upbeat and friendly, too. High prices are still prevalent, but occasional sales may help you with that. Maybe! This ambivalence can perhaps be tossed aside for Mile High Comics support of the trans and queer community. Good job, there! Similarly, the food drives for the homeless, the all-ages drag shows, the support for local artists - all positive. Ive never been to the wrestling matches or the poker tournaments, but those also seem like fun, community-building events. There’s so much space to use at the Jason Street Mega Store... its nice to see it being used for the forces of good.
Love the place impossible to be in there for less than an hour. So much stuff. Any collector would love it
Still the biggest comic store Ive visited, but theyre looking a little rough. Decision fatigue is real. I recommend asking the help desk when looking for specific comics, they do a great job!
Well...after waiting over 30 years...maybe it was 40...I have started to frequent this place almost every weekend now. (I ordered mail order from them I think as far back as 1982. Ok...so I can sum it up very simple...yep largest and possible most extensive collection Ive ever seen. Everyone is cool, love the old warehouse feel. Super expensive...and I often complain when people want something I have but offer peanuts for it...so Im glad in some aspects they hokd true for what it worth...but some of it is just ridiculous. I love supporting my local store but sorry with internet, I can do better. But its definatly the place you should see and they got some rare stuff, in great shape too. Just choose wisely what you buy.
My heart starts to beat fast evertike we turn onto Jason Street. One of my favorite places in the whole world!!!
Amazing collection of comics, books and more!
Amazing place, great deals! Its more than a couple of hours just to see everything!
Came out here for the first time, and my suggestions is to make it an event to come out and look at the selections available. There’s so many new things to look at. Nostalgia overload. They had cups I had as a child. Love this place and will be back many times over. Staff was super friendly and offered to help.
I was reading The Incredible Hulk #331 May of 1987 there was a Ad for this place in there I taught it would be cool to see if the number still worked to my surprise it did, this place has to be good to be open that long I think I will be getting my comics from here from now on.
Amazing selection of cool things! What a blast!
Super cool place! Large warehouse packed full of comics, figures, and collectibles. Definitely a must visit!
Easily the biggest and coolest comic book shop in the world. Top of the line comic collection. Huge amount of old school action figures that really took me back. This place just makes you happy. Must visit.
I hadnt even realized Mile High Comics was in Denver till we drove past it on the highway on our vacation. When we saw it we had to turn around. This place is a warehouse full of comics, toys, posters, etc. The selection is staggering, and we were able to get a bunch of comics weve had a really hard time finding elsewhere. The staff was friendly and helpful as well!Next time were in Denver well def. be making a return visit!
Very unique experience. Seemed like a comic shop and a museum wrapped into one. They had a bargain section of comics that could have used some more organization. Toys and memorabilia was neat to look at.
Usually over-priced for back issues l, but if you can catch the 60% off sale they have from time to time, it makes it well worth a drive. Millions of back issues all logged in an online inventory on their website.
Wow! Mind blowing place! Such a wide selection and a fun place to get lost for the afternoon! A must-see if youre a comic book fan!
Me and my fiance were so excited to check this place out. Awesome selection. But, then it happened. I noticed a Stan Lee pop funko. I was like oh I have this same one at home. Looked at the price and it was $100. There is no way mine is worth that much. Did a quick search on ebay and Amazon. And poppriceguide.com. its selling for $13.00. funky. That Was just one item. Makes me curious about what else is overpriced in the store. Yeah they had rare stuff in there, but how much money are they actually ripping people off by? Ill stick to my smaller comic stores.
Totally awesome store and online customer service is first rate. Grading right on and shipping fast and reliable. Ive made returns considerably in excess of a savings account interest rate by reading Chucks newsletter. Ultimate Fallout 4 second printing case in point. Vive, Mile High Comics long may she reign ! - Brett .
I love this place if they had a spot to chill and read Id be there everyday fun for the big kids😂
Huge, and overpriced. Im also not a fan of the in your face political statements when shopping.
Probably the best comic store ever. For sure in Colorado. My kids and I had a blast there for at least 2 hours. They didnt want to leave. My kids are 9, 5, and twins who are 4. I was also able to buy them each a couple things and only spent $35!
Great staff and quite an incredible amount of comic and pop culture artifacts. Always a fun visit.
First time there. Impressive from the start! Loaded with more than just comics. Easy to find everything layout. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. We will be back!
What a magical warehouse of fantasy goodness. Took my time exploring, staff was super helpful and insightful, stoked with my graded black suit spidey 1st appearance and Cables 1st appearance!
As busy as they are they always treat their customers great. Been to many shops and definitely will keep coming back. They definitely take better care of their customers. I been to other shops in Denver and had horrible experiences there with not only the employees but their community as well (47th).
Great place for comics. Giant place. Amazing look. Aboslutely a comic book enjoyers paradise.
Very large space. Helpful staff. Was fun to peruse. However, the anime section is sadly small.
Dont ever shop here. Everything is overpriced 30-75% mark-up. From the comics to the collectible figures. You can find way better deals online and at other local retailers.
Have a wide selection of comic books. Manga was vintage and some current ones but nut much of choice.
Nerd paradise. Words cannot describe it. Its expansive and awesome. Every genre, every fandom, its all here and its for sale. Tons of memorabilia, comics, toys, books, games, and collectables. Really neat store, only caveat is its in a really sketchy area.
I love this place. Miles of comics, toys, games, and collectables. The giant classic comic covers on the side of the building are worth the drive. Watch your wallet ... it could end up empty.
